1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: June 07, 2014, 07:54:49 PM
Stop with your lies:

The first crash was temporary due to a hack from 32 to 2.
The second from 266 to 50.

In both cases bitcoin come back and compared to the highest price ever it is only 50% low.

Oh apologies, so the 'first' crash only represented a 93.75% loss in market value. And the second was a mere 81.20%. And prior to reaching the $1 level has had several crashes worse than this in the cents price levels. So bitcoin actually has a terrible history for multiple and repeated market crashes.

Maxcoin is only 120 days old, and yes it has been on a downwards price trend.
However bitcoin has been on a downwards price trend for 6 solid months.
Which is exactly the time when it is a good idea to buy, not during an uptrend.

As I said, people who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Little bagholder of useless coins...

Bitcoin has lost value after gaining that value

Maxcoin only lost value from it's presumed price...and it will continue to do so.

Let's compare the first 120 days of trading for bitcoin an maxcoin...

Nothing because based on the pics it's not an UN helicopter that was shot down Smiley.

But it is clear that the Ukrainian authorities had earlier used a helicopter painted as UN, to bomb the residential areas of Donbass. The pictures of the helicopter were widely circulated in the social media.

This is a solid coin.  The dev is good too and it is the best thing to mine for sha right now.  If more people knew about this coin they would adopt immediately.

Is there a subreddit or a twitter that is being used daily?

There is nothing solid about this coin.
Just blew it's second chance to remain listed on bittrex...

There is only a path from this point on and it leads nowhere
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: June 07, 2014, 07:05:32 PM
Please speak english, this thread is for english users! Thanks!

Sorry Kiki, but you can't realistically ask for this ;/. There's not better way to make Quebecers aware of QBC, and crypto, but by making info primarily available in French. There's a few Francophone that we're probably turned off by this whole BTCTalk thread... I don't have stats, but it's known that most of the non-tech-savvy Quebecers don't know more English than "Yes, No, Toaster". Shocked

Yes he can , and I can also.
This in the ENGLISH section of the board. And in this section you write in English.

If you want to write and speak in french you go to the french subforum.

Those are the rules for any coin otherwise you would see 90% chinese posts in the altcoin forum.

1585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAMM] MammothCoin, the first X13 coin with True Random SuperBlocks! on: June 07, 2014, 06:56:11 PM
Well , with elephants coin going extinct we've got a new try with mammothcoin....

Wonder how much will this one last.
It's all a matter of perspective. Just realize this coin will only be mined for a while. The POW will end in... what, 60 days? At that point you should see the price increase by quite a bit. However, it's up to the community to promote it and get it accepted before this time comes. Otherwise, it to will go extinct.

do you honestly think that pow>pos will bring anything new to the price?
the ow>pos hype is over , it's now the anonymity hype going down..

What does this have to do with Bitcoin?

Oh - I get it!  You are saying that Bitcoin cannot exist because it is not mentioned in Genesis.  Mystery solved!

But bitcoin has it's own genesis block Wink

US not only losing the space race but also technology race.

If the government and mega corporations think they can continue to outsource and moving factory abroad, they will be in for rude awakening very soon.

Are you serious?

pump again

Yeah i'm pretty sure that the people who bought based on Max advice at 400k are thrilled by this pump to 12k.

Guys, those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
Do you not recall the time when bitcoin fell in market value by 96%? I.e. when it crashed from all time highs of $26 to $1.
Or how about the time it fell from $266 to $26 representing a crash of 90%?
Or what about the time it fell from $1250 to $400 equating to a nominal loss of 68%?
Many people cried foul and pronounced it's death at each of these instances, but those with the courage of their convictions held strong.
I bet the people who bought at $26, and $266 are quite happy with themselves today.
And while it remains to be seen, most likely, those who bought at $1250 will be quite happy with themselves in time.
The same applies to maxcoin.

Stop with your lies:

The first crash was temporary due to a hack from 32 to 2.
The second from 266 to 50.

In both cases bitcoin come back and compared to the highest price ever it is only 50% low.

In case of maxcoin , it is on a continuous downslide with only 2.5% value of what it was at it's peak.

There was never a moment in maxcoin history when it was a good idea to buy Smiley.

Hit the all button in the timeline  mister bagholder.

Also , I have to add, comparing a shitclone like maxcoin to bitcoin it's a clear sign you need to check your cuckoo watch.

because it has 10 years left of operation and it's costly to maintain...

The ISS is arguably the most expensive single item ever constructed.[263] As of 2010 the cost is estimated to be $150 billion. It includes NASA's budget of $58.7 billion for the station from 1985 to 2015 ($72.4 billion dollars in 2010), Russia's $12 billion ISS budget, Europe's $5 billion, Japan's $5 billion, Canada's $2 billion, and the cost of 36 shuttle flights to build the station; estimated at $1.4 billion each, or $50.4 billion total.

If they would have blocked a blog in the us the hell went lose , all the talks about the nsa cia etc , if the russians do this to 30 000 websites it's nothing , it's done to protect the children.

May be some of those sites were unfairly blocked. But that number (30,000) is much lower than the number of websites blocked by the United States authorities in any single week's time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJspdtS5iiI

Are you quoting this guy for real =)))))?
Do you have a clue who this guy is?

The article is from infowars , read the original stuff...

Quote
As with previous seizures, ICE convinced a District Court judge to sign a seizure warrant, and then contacted the domain registries to point the domains in question to a server that hosts the warning message. However, somewhere in this process a mistake was made and as a result the domain of a large DNS service provider was seized.

The domain in question is mooo.com, which belongs to the DNS provider FreeDNS. It is the most popular shared domain at afraid.org and as a result of the authorities’ actions a massive 84,000 subdomains were wrongfully seized as well. All sites were redirected to the banner below.

Quote
Eventually, on Sunday the domain seizure was reverted and the subdomains slowly started to point to the old sites again instead of the accusatory banner

So , any more ?
I love to debunk those propaganda blogs...

1595  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: June 07, 2014, 05:44:08 PM
After all , it was the russians who threaten us to level our nation to the ground in 30 minutes.

I am not Russian, so I don't know whether the Russians really want to level Romania to the ground or not. But to tell the truth, I can't find a reason for Russia to wage war against Romania, unless the latter threatens to banish all the Russians (Lipovans) living in Dobruja to some shitty place like Kosovo or Turkey.  Grin And right now, Romania seems to be a very low priority for the Russians.

Then they should stop doing such threats in their 'voice of russia " propaganda.

And about those lipovans i'm pretty sure you found them in wikipedia , don't worry.... they are not even speaking russian anymore.
It's pretty hard to find one under 40 yo who can both speak and read russian.

1596  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gun homicides down dramatically, Americans unaware on: June 07, 2014, 05:35:46 PM
If the murder rate would be down because of the conviction rate the other crimes would be also down like that but the percentages are not showing it at all.

Who said that the other crimes are not down?

http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Japan/United-States/Crime

For example, the incidence of rape is 66 times lower in Japan, when compared to the US. Car theft is 20 times lower, and Assaults are 15 times lower.

You are obsessed with the us .. let it go for god sake

Seems like the conviction in japan isn't affecting kidnappings more than the one is Austria for example...

http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Crime/Kidnappings
http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Austria/Japan/Crime

Or the number of car thefts compared to ... Russia Smiley.

Nice spotting this one.
Replacing personell with soldiers .. that low bryant , very low..

Nothing wrong there, as 99% of the embassy staff in Baghdad are from the military. Normal embassies and consulates don't employ more than a thousand people, including all the security guards.

But why did you use the world soldiers when it's obvious the original text was with personnel.
It's clear that you purposely replaced the text , RT style  to make your point.

1599  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gun homicides down dramatically, Americans unaware on: June 07, 2014, 04:53:52 PM
I wonder why Japan has such unbelievable low rates...

Very simple. The Japanese police is one of the most efficient of its type in the world. They have around 99.8% conviction rate, for all crimes.

http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.1086/468111?uid=3738256&uid=2&uid=4&sid=21104123198157

Also there are several other facts, such as lack of immigration, ethnic homogeneity of the society.etc

Unfortunately it's not that simple....

Did you read the second paragraph on the article you quoted?

If the murder rate would be down because of the conviction rate the other crimes would be also down like that but the percentages are not showing it at all.

“99% of sites currently blocked in Russia are illegally being subjected to blocking,” Kozlyuk explained.

“At the moment, in quantitative terms, it’s more than 30,000 sites, but decisions under the law have only been issued against 450 of them. The remaining sites are being blocked just because they are on the same IP address as those carrying the illegal material.”

Some of the blogs contain far-right material. The Russian extremists use social media (including blogs) to spread illegal material online. Remember the double beheading of the Tajik and the Daghestani in Moscow? Blogs were used to spread the video. That said, some of the blogs related to opposition activism might also be banned. But I don't know how many, and what proportion, out of the total.

Also, there are blogs in Russian language dealing with the preparation of Krokodil, manufacturing of explosives.etc

Yeah  , yeah.. what about freedom of speech?
If they would have blocked a blog in the us the hell went lose , all the talks about the nsa cia etc , if the russians do this to 30 000 websites it's nothing , it's done to protect the children.

Stop with your double standards.
