701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bad or good idea on: September 26, 2023, 10:53:28 PM
Not worth the risk IMO.

I would use that money to instead just buy coins and HODL rather than buy GPUs and HODL  Cheesy
Because we know that most top market cap have a guaranteed ROI of at least more than x2 even from the current market price when the next bull run comes around. Why gamble with GPUs you are not sure will be in high demand once again like they used to be due to high profitable Ethereum mining and shortages from the pandemic lock-downs, both factors of which are no longer there?
702  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: September 26, 2023, 09:39:31 PM
When I scan the deposit QR code with Phoenix Wallet, it shows: "Invalid data. Please try again. OKE". This wallet works fine with other LN services.
I think it could have more to do with phoenix wallet rather than the generated deposit QR code you are trying to scan
Last year, there was a similar issue with Phoenix wallet, which was fixed when they added support for the LNURL fallback scheme
703  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome on: September 26, 2023, 09:20:22 PM
I'm not sure what exactly you mean, but if it comes to "View Archive" in the right corner of every post, next to "report to moderator", I have that option visible in both threads you mentioned. Chrome browser in my case.
I mean the view topic archive link in the top right corner, as shown in the image below. This only appears in topic of certain boards

In the second link that I shared which happens to be a topic in the altcoins Announcements board, the topic archive link is no where to be seen

704  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome on: September 26, 2023, 08:28:08 PM
Sorry if this problem or bug has been identified before

I like how the extension archive (Ninjastic.space) adds links of each post/reply. However, there seems to be a problem with the view topic archive link. It appears in some boards and is not there in other boards

For example, this topic in the mining board has it - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448335.0
This one in the Announcements (Altcoins) board does not have it - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1290358.0

What could be the cause, bpip.org extension or ninjastic.space bug? Could it be that there are some more boards with such a problem, like Announcements (Altcoins) board?
705  Other / Archival / Re: He is not a JollyGood fellow! on: September 26, 2023, 01:39:49 PM
Thank you for the explanation. The only thing that is not clear to me is why, as I said before, the banner appears in some threads and not in others.
Because in some boards like Bitcoin Discussion, Bitcoin Technical Support etc. User trust ratings for any member posting there are hidden so the same applies to that red banner as viewed by guest users
706  Other / Archival / Re: He is not a JollyGood fellow! on: September 26, 2023, 07:24:34 AM
This might be a bit off-topic but I think not too much because it is related to the OP's trust profile. I don't quite understand why there is a warning flag on this thread for unregistered forum visitors (and I guess newbies too):

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/09/26/Pnua2.jpeg

But if I go to his trust profile, no flag appears, and even less an active one.
To answer your question. That red banner you see is from the old trust system. When Theymos introduced the trust flag system on June 12, 2019. He removed the concept of trust scores, but he didn't want to make the past trust feedback completely useless. So if a member received more negative feedback from DT members than positive. The red banner will appear for guest/newbie users. This only applies to feedback that was sent before the trust flags were introduced.
707  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan of 250$ for 8 weeks will pay back 300$reason- trading CEFI(see body) on: September 25, 2023, 11:39:28 PM
Hello I am looing for a loan of 250$ for bitcoin trading I can show you demo trades,
Demo trading results are not a measure of how good you are in trading. There is more to trading than just using Demo funds. Emotions are a big part of trading, and they usually kick in when you are using real funds, worse still borrowed funds. Imagine the kind of pressure you will have

Demo trading results can be doctored. You will always get demo funds every time you blow up your demo accounts until the one time you have a perfect streak, and that's what you will show us here as a successful trader account.

No collateral, no loan.
708  Economy / Lending / Re: Not here for a loan Got a question on: September 25, 2023, 11:17:03 PM
Let's say you are from Venezuela and you would be lender is from China?
Sending the crypto loan just takes a few minutes, but how are you going to avail him your collateral which he can easily sell to get back his money in case you defaulted the loan?

Are you going to ship the jewelry all the way to China, incur all the shipment and customs costs, and the lender ships them back once you pay the loan? It doesn't make sense, do it?
709  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for KYC or various collaborations on: September 25, 2023, 10:40:55 PM
Well, honestly speaking that I've never seen people selling their own data for a few measly bucks as their data is worth a lot compared to what they get paid for it.
A lot have done it in the past in exchange for token that are valueless in the name of airdrops, bounty campaigns, exchange sign up bonus

It's actually priceless. And BTW, would you mind me asking what is the noble cause for which you are asking others to help you out with KYC?
He could be planning to use the accounts KYCed using strangers' documents for criminal activities such as money laundering, transferring and trading off stolen funds etc. and once law enforcement starts tracing the owner of the account. It will be the person who solder their documents who will end up getting traced and not the actual criminal.
710  Other / Archival / Re: He is not a JollyGood fellow! on: September 25, 2023, 09:58:58 PM
I don't even know if I'm on DT anymore and frankly don't care anymore.
You are currently on DT 2

Royse777 probably has a lot of sympathy toward red-trusted members since he's had his own reputational issues in the past year.  I don't know if the projects he's managing campaigns for care if shady members advertise for them or not, but said members better hope Royse777 keeps managing campaigns and remains sympathetic.  But I'll tell ya, once you open that door to accepting red-trusted members, they're all going to be knocking on your door looking for a spot.
I think he is given such members spots on a case by case basis, otherwise they would have flooded those high paying campaigns like they did with 1xbit  Grin

As for digaran I don't know what to make of the statements he made back then. Whether he actually meant it or it was a case of sarcasm gone bad.
711  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HTX (Huobi) hacked, $8 million lost on: September 25, 2023, 09:29:22 PM
All I smell are just coordinated insider jobs and the blame keeps going to the "hackers" How does someone manage to withdraw 5,000 ETH without triggering any internal alerts or control measures?

Look at what the Justin thug tweeted  Grin

Quote
$8 million represents a relatively small sum in comparison to the $3 billion worth of assets held by our users. It also amounts to just two weeks' revenue for the HTX platform.

Quote
We are willing to offer 5% of the stolen amount (400,000 USD) as a white hat reward to encourage the hacker to return the stolen funds. If the hacker returns the funds, we will also hire them as a security white hat advisor for HTX.

Ridiculous!!
712  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: September 25, 2023, 12:59:37 PM
@eXch.cc is it possible that some IP addresses are banned by eXch exchange or it could be something browser related?
Some people told me that they can't access eXch website with clearnet domain, and they receive message like this in Chrome browser:

Code:
This page isn’t working
exch.cx didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
It could be a number of factors including a browser related problem. Have them try a different browser using the same IP address to see if it works?
Maybe an extension causing this? They could disable the extensions or also run the browser in incognito mode to rule out the browser extension, as probably cause.

Another cause could be the ISP in their jurisdiction trying to block access to eXch.cx rather than the other way round.

713  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Free Tools to speedup BTC transactions on: September 25, 2023, 12:42:46 PM
Seriously, confirmtx is not a scam who is asking to pay you money I just shared to rebrodcast your transaction that might help for free.
Ok, simple, prove to us that it's not a scam. Send a low fee Bitcoin transaction and then "accelerate" it through the service. Share the TX ID in this thread and we observe. If you fail to do so, you might receive a negative tag from me for shilling a scam, even when members have tried to correct you.

In fact, if you were someone wise. You would have already deleted or pulled down your list of false Bitcoin transaction accelerators apart from ViaBTC

Rebroadcasting is not the same as accelerating a transaction... I repeat, rebroadcasting is not the same as accelerating a transaction!!!

I am now not surprised that you even have a negative tag from Lauda.
Lauda    2020-04-15    Reference    Spamming the forum with backlinks. Shady. Avoid using this website.

I know that there is other accelerators, but do they actually work? Does anyone here have experience with services listed above and it worked? I only used ViaBTC and as long as it works, I won't look for alternatives.
I also know of ViaBTC. It's the only legitimate transaction accelerator that I know that still works.

The other that we legitimate as well, that is https://pushtx.btc.com by btc.com and PushTx.com by poolin have since been defunct for a while. The common characteristics of legitimate transaction accelerators is that they are connected to the respective mining pools
716  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Instant exchanges on: September 24, 2023, 10:51:03 PM
1. Evonax.com is now down... I don't know for how long
2. CoinPlaza.it, It seems things have changed quite a lot with this instant exchange, especially in regard to KYC. They now have a 10 Euro monthly limit for No KYC accounts  Grin
717  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Free Tools to speedup BTC transactions on: September 24, 2023, 10:30:07 PM
2 ConfirmTx (partly free)
Which one?
This (confirmtx.net) or this (confirmtx.com). Both sites don't work... lol
By the way  - https://www.newsbtc.com/news/bitcoin/confirmtx-transaction-accelerator-isnt-processing-requests-despite-receiving-payments/

3 BitAccelerate (Free)
It just rebroadcasts transactions.

4 360 BTC Accelerator (Free)

5 BitTools (Free)
It just rebroadcasts transactions.

It's quite clear you just did a copy and paste without doing further research. Stop sharing false information!
718  Other / Meta / Re: Do discussions always have to be serious? on: September 23, 2023, 12:50:27 AM
I'm talking about a little humor. Nothing says meme here. So in your opinion, the discussion here should be serious? Right?
You can add a little humor, but just make sure you are not off-topic overall, and it has to be only in certain threads.
Let's say a newbie comes in and asks a question about a bitcoin transaction that has been stuck for days or about his partially lost bitcoin wallet seeds that he is attempting to recover, are you going to apply jokes? Mock him?

Personally, I have never had any dispute over my deleted posts. I notice what I could have done wrong and try to avoid it next time, but in most cases it was always off-topic.
719  Other / Meta / Re: Do discussions always have to be serious? on: September 23, 2023, 12:35:31 AM
Not only that, I had several posts deleted. I'm not talking about my posts being deleted, I don't have a problem with that. I just want to ask whether discussions must always be serious? because I also rarely see jokes or something funny so the discussion is more fluid and friendly. I sometimes see things like that in popular members, but most members are not like that
Maybe the popular members you see also have their posts deleted but they don't go on lamenting about it.

You have 7 deleted posts, I have 20 deleted posts. Even Theymos, the current administrator, has a deleted post, so what exactly are you mourning about here? This is a Bitcoin/crypto forum, for Pete's sake.

You want fun? Humor? Memes? Pick up threads or boards dedicated for that, or try Reddit, twitter.
720  Other / Meta / Re: Do discussions always have to be serious? on: September 23, 2023, 12:17:43 AM
I know you are referring to your reply which was deleted in a self-moderated thread as referenced here

Like the small note says at the top;
Quote
This is a self-moderated topic. If you do not want to be moderated by the person who started this topic, create a new topic
You should have created a new topic and then included your "jokes" and "fun"

No need to create a new meta thread about your deleted reply in a self-moderated thread.

I avoid such reputation board threads in most cases because they are filled up with people craving drama and have so much ego in them that they won't even read("listen") to any form of advice. If you are craving such drama, then have at it, but don't come back wailing for help.
