Are you from this world ? to protect you there is antivirus which probably you are not using.
It's 2022 and almost 2023 and people still use AVs?

Why bother with an antivirus, yet you can keep your computer super clean by not visiting and downloading from random links?

Those picture show what am i doing and what me current setting are.
The much preferred method is taking a screenshot and upload it to one of the popular image hosting sites like Imgur or imgBB and then share the link in the OP. Open-source screen capturing software programs like sharex can make the job easier.
1562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trading strategy becomes obsolete? on: December 19, 2022, 10:56:48 PM
RSI and MACD are very old indicators, but they still work if you have observed the markets. Not 100% but they still get the job done, especially on higher time frames. One such strategy that's effective is the RSI convergence and divergence.

If the strategy was to get obsolete by now, then such strategies wouldn't work at all.
1563  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you really think about trading bots? on: December 19, 2022, 10:42:09 PM
I believe bots are only meant to help reduce the human emotions in trade plus maybe execute a well-thought-out strategy by the trader in order to reduce on screen time for the trader. So they still have to be often monitored where possible.

I am looking forward to using bots in the future just for the above reasons. The reason I have not used a bot yet is because I feel I don't have enough technical knowledge when it comes to python and API (everything seems alien to me at the moment)

I am just learning how to code strategies on trading view using pine script. My goal next year is to probably learning Python scripting language as I continue trading.
1564  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kevin O'leary vs CZ on: December 19, 2022, 09:30:41 PM
In short, Kevin O’Leary was a FTX spokesman and investor, and at Senate hearing he accused Binance for FTX downfall, conveniently forgetting SBF role in everything that has happened. CZ is a shady guy, but in this case he is right to call out O’Leary for all the bullshit he said lately.
Spokesman, Public Relations Officer... If there was any career I had to take again, anything close to PR would be off my list instantly. Lies flow in their blood. I am not a fan of CZ but when I saw a video of Kevin O’Leary trying to change the blame game to CZ, I was baffled.

Kevin is known for having some bad investments despite he's a good talker
A good talker or a good manipulator? Spokesmen!  Grin

1565  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Premium BTC email domain For Elite BTC fans, & help FTX user ! on: December 18, 2022, 11:52:34 PM
10 BTC for an email address that is just similar to the name "satoshi"! How much would you charge if it was Satoshi@protonmail.com? 100 BTC maybe?
Not to try and bring you down, but going past $1,000 would be a miracle.

It's overpriced, and it would take someone who is equally crazy to buy it at that price.
1566  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Futures trading in USA on: December 18, 2022, 11:37:37 PM
Futures trading is banned for anyone in the US jurisdiction. The only advantage you have right now is that you are from Turkey and your account is verified using documents from Turkey. So you could just buy a very good VPN service that offers Turkish IP address so that when you relocate to the US, you keep using the VPN service.

You could cash out using p2p exchanges like bisq or the c2c marketplace available in Binance.

Alternatively, you can try using "decentralized" derivatives exchange
like
Like dydx (they still block US IP addresses, again you will have to used VPN. The advantage is, no KYC for now), Apollox DEX, Helix, Read all the terms and conditions first plus DYOR
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Please help activate Tron mainnet - need arround 5 dollars Trx on: December 18, 2022, 10:59:18 PM
It's not like XRP that you need to have 10 XRP account reserve to activate a wallet. Tron wallet/address is just the same as btc, you don't have to pay any amount for its activation.
@OP, reply to your thread if you're done with your transaction.
Has tron network changed the way they operate?

Last I remember, you need to send some TRON in the newly created address in order to be able to carry out a transaction out of the account. This is totally different from how Bitcoin works.
1568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin transaction that came from the future... on: December 18, 2022, 10:50:00 PM
I never came across such a thread, but it's really amazing how people always want to make weird theories when it’s something involving Satoshi or the early Bitcoin users. Of all things, why would someone think a transaction getting sent from the future?

I guess some people just don't prefer simplicity anymore.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Aleo mining on: December 17, 2022, 11:55:09 PM
KYC to mine a blockchain for privacy applications? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Sounds bogus, isn't it?  Grin

It reminds me of the old days when random "devs" would create an ERC20 token on Ethereum network and them make a bold claim that their new token (Like Ethereum dark, Ethereum Blue or Ethereum White) would process transactions 100 times faster than Ethereum and then gullible newbies would actually buy it.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BNB is in x-hairs, is this good opportunity to retrieve my funds locked for yrs? on: December 17, 2022, 11:41:57 PM
What's wrong with the facial recognition?

Are you already verified with them?

As far as I know, at one point, they let US citizen be able to withdraw their funds as the accounts were only on withdrawal mode. So what could have been the beginning of your woes?

Regardless try to recover your funds as fast as possible. You don't want to wait until Binance and BNB collapse.
1571  Economy / Reputation / Re: Cryptochanger.to Locked SCAM or what? on: December 17, 2022, 11:36:40 PM
We are more than happy to receive the constructive criticism, but all we faced were baseless claims, please check the first posts where members are trash selling in our threads for no reason.

I will quote the first 3 posts

Instant exchange? Meaning that people that wants to exchange will first deposit into the addresses that you control and you can seize the coiny, which makes the scammer to be able to go away with the coins, while people that wants to exchange will lose and become a scam victim.

Edit:
The exchange domain was just registered less than 3 months ago. It is better to just still try with low amount of money until the instant exchange gain good reputation.

We achieved an average transaction speed of 5 minutes to ensure you don't waste any time.
What guarantees it will keep running for 5 minutes when network traffic is high?

No registration
What's this for?

Where are you located, and how can you manage to offer your services without KYC? From what I have seen, almost every instant exchange out there can ask you to verify your identity if they notice a "suspicious activity".

What exactly was a baseless claim here?

And why was it so hard to positively respond to this with a cool head if you are legitimate? I have seen far worse questions and criticism. Maybe you just can't handle business or responding to critism/crisis. Hire someone who can.
1572  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Affiliate signature campaign on: December 17, 2022, 11:13:32 PM
>>snip<<
Welps, like I thought before, this kind of campaign won't favor those wearing the signature unless if the person wearing the signature has a casino review site, youtube channel or blog with good traffic, which i very well know most members here don't have.

The casino will keep getting the exposure via one's signature while, they won't get anything in return for weeks or even months. The only option is probably to shill the casino as hard as one can in every post while asking users to sign up using the ref link in the signature.
1573  Other / Meta / Re: theymos! Please use the forum account on Twitter to tweet on: December 17, 2022, 10:53:25 PM
Dear theymos,

Elon Musk want to clean up Twitter. One of his aims is inactive Twitter accounts and his criteria to choose what accounts to delete are not clear enough.
Why would he do so, it would be a dick move to delete an account that has not spammed in the past and last tweeted in 2018  Cheesy

Quote
The forum has one Twitter account which was last active in 2018 August.
If you check the tweet history, the purpose of the account was to update about outages in the forum. The last major outages were in 2018.

Do you think you should make a tweet just to be whitelisted from the deleting aim that is coming?
Are you willing to perform a DDoS attack? *Joke*

Prevention is better than cure and send a support ticket or appeal to Twitter.
Bitcointalk will always move on even if it was deleted.
1574  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Funding rate in derivative trading on: December 17, 2022, 10:38:18 PM
When is the funding fee deducted? Is it every 8 hours also or at a specific time later? Or when the position is closed?
Funding rate is deducted or added every 8 hours. If you close your position before the 8th hour, funding rate won't affect your equity in the derivatives account

Quote
Or it is possible to see the funding fee added or deducted every 8 hours?
Yes, it possible to see it under your trade history depending on the kind of exchange you are using

Here is an example of a trade history of my experimental BTCUSD open position sometime back

I noticed I can see the fee on Kucoin after the position is closed, but I can not see it on other exchanges that I am using.
Never used Kucoin for trading derivatives. Are you sure it's not the normal trading fee for closing the position?

You might want to check out their FAQs.
1575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future and perpetual (derivative) trading on: December 17, 2022, 10:14:02 PM
Actually I mean a longer you let your position opens, a more interest you will have to pay for an exchange and therefore even if your position is at profit when you close it, you will have less profit at the end.

I should use interest and profit differently to avoid confusion.
Perhaps you are talking about margin trading offered by Binance and a few other exchanges?
Well, I am not a fun of it and not so familiar with it.

But as for trading derivatives (perpetual swaps and futures). There's funding rate that keeps changing from positive to negative every 8 hours according to most derivative exchanges and the market conditions dictate it, not how long someone keeps their position open.

Also, the exchange does not benefit from the funding rate, as the traders pay themselves depending on what side of the funding rate they are. The exchange only benefits from trading fees, theoretically.

Ok. Thanks for the information.
That is seem very risky.
Very different if we compare with spot trading,
we only get unrealized loss if don't sell the coin and the coin still there.
Way riskier than even futures or perpetual swaps if you use the same leverage as that of leveraged tokens. It is the reason Binance has delisted leverage token twice now. A lot of people lost money.
1576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Averaging future trading. on: December 14, 2022, 11:17:17 PM
Use a much lower leverage instead of "shorting with DCA" maybe even x3 or lower so that you learn how the market works whilst not putting your funds at a high risk when using high leverage and panicking to adjust the margin of the open position.

Also, look out for Bitcoin historic support and resistance levels, they can be helpful for you to determine where your stop loss, take profit and liquidation price should be.
1577  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future and perpetual (derivative) trading on: December 14, 2022, 11:05:17 PM
>>>snip<<<
I know how funding rate works, but what I didn't understand was what @SquirrelJulietGarden said that the rate would reduce with time if the position was kept for long or did he give some wrong information?

Here:

With Perptual trading, when you have a position, the longer you let that position opens, the more interests you will have to pay for that exchange. Usually exchanges will have different shifts of funding rates within every 24 hours. It can be 3 or 4 shifts every day.

So even if your position at the end when you close it at profitable exit price, the longer you let that position opens, the less interest you will get at the end because the more in interest you will have to pay for exchange.

What you think the risk more dangerous, Future or Perpetual?
All are risky

Is ETF like BNB3X is included in derivative?
Yes, it's a derivative instrument because it's price "derived" from the spot price of the underlying asset
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think ive throw money away on: December 13, 2022, 11:58:06 PM
Huobi support, maybe the only people to help you in this case

This is just another example of why you should not copy your previously used addresses and just send funds without confirming the status of the address or wallet in an exchange you are sending funds to.

Exchanges can periodically suspend deposits due to wallet maintenance, coin delisting, etc. and the warnings are usually displayed when generate a deposit address. If you just send directly, you will only realize when it's too late.
1579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future and perpetual (derivative) trading on: December 13, 2022, 11:50:39 PM

Isn't the funding rate dynamic in perpetual swaps? Like longs pay shorts and shorts pay longs depending on the market conditions and the position one has opened?

So how will rates reduce as time goes on if market conditions are what mostly dictate the funding rates and who is going to get paid and who is paying?

1580  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Canada bans crypto leverage and margin trading after FTX collapse on: December 13, 2022, 11:33:22 PM
After United States, now Canada. No magin, perpetual or future trading again on exchanges in Canada as Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), the council of
It is because they want to protect Canadian investors, we all understand that, but if I am a Canadian, I will not like that after gaining experience from leverage trading over years now. But leverage trading is truly riskier.
I don't think any Government or authority would really care about protecting funds of their Citizens. It's always just about trying to gain control. Most Governments see cryptocurrencies and rogue unregulated exchanges as a threat to their power when more people start using them. Unfortunately, very many scammers lurk in the same waters too and with the very sad events of scams and hacks, the Government finds an excuse of banning cryptos or the crypto exchanges and their services.

Hope Canada is not like US that traders can not use foreign exchanges?
They already have a list of banned exchanges, though not yet so big. It's Kucoin and Poloniex, so I believe such exchanges would reject Canadian KYC verified customers to use their platforms.
