701  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain fee and alternatives on: September 02, 2019, 07:07:33 AM

There is no meaningful correlation between KYC and the safety of your coins. There are several big name service providers which have very strict KYC requirements which have been hacked, both for the KYC documents themselves as well as for the coins they are holding. Don't be fooled in to thinking that undergoing KYC offers you any sort of protection whatsoever - KYC only offers the exchange legal protection (or extra income when they sell your details to third parties).

Undergoing KYC to use an exchange is forgivable (although I would always recommend to use P2P or DEX trading and keep your documents safe), but you should never be undergoing KYC just to use a wallet. It's bad enough that you are trusting an unknown third party to have complete control of your coins on your behalf. Why on Earth would you also be giving these internet strangers your personal details? Would you give your passport and credit card to a random stranger on the street for safekeeping?

The best site for estimating fees remains this one: https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,8h. Scroll down to the third graph "Mempool Size in MB" to get an idea of the size of all pending transactions at each fee level, and slot yourself in accordingly depending on your urgency.

I don't relate KYC with security but I said that web wallets that don't require KYC are not trusted as they get easily hacked while wallets like Xapo are apps that provide more security in terms of 2FA, ID verification in case you lose access to your wallet and plus ask an additional verification when you perform any transaction compared to web wallets.

Web wallets like coinbase are pretty reliable and in terms of getting hacked, they have an insurance to protect users but since they don't provide private keys, I don't prefer them.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: I think it is virus scam ,Be careful!! on: September 01, 2019, 05:48:26 PM
Please don't download any wallets from this forum as we already know that they are using these techniques to hack ETH and BTC and unfortunately both you and me have been victims of these scammers. In case of urgency, it's better to use a device which you have never ever used for your financial transactions and which has no data related to your wallets or you (just a demo laptop/PC) but still never download such wallets as even your forum account can get hacked.

And then you wake up from the dream and see India won by 300+ Runs.  Smiley

There is no Ben strokes in WI team who can do this miracle.

They don't have Stokes, Smith to score 100+ runs on their own nor Bumrah who can take wickets. They fail both in bowling and batting. Even with Pollard and Gayle they wouldn't manage but would atleast not perform so badly.

Rain can save them now but it should rain for atleast 1.5 days then it would end in a draw. :-P
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 01, 2019, 04:13:21 PM
Why not follow on? Kohli chose to again bat but hope he doesn't bat till tomorrow and ends it today only. It was seriously not needed as they already had runs in hand. 100 more runs should be enough to declare now.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 01, 2019, 03:38:16 PM
WI will most likely reach 150 in the first innings but if they get more, India may choose to put more 100 runs o the board so that even if WI reach 250+ runs, India would calmly win the match and series. I wonder who will they choose as the man of the match/series this time in case the match ends tomorrow.
706  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain fee and alternatives on: September 01, 2019, 01:04:51 PM
Hello,

i´m still "new" in this btc world and i was wondering what should i choose when i send from blockchain example for an amount of 200-600$
we have the option to choose the fee

and are there good alternatives like blockchain (wallet/trading site) with low fee´s where you don´t have to verify your account...

Most web wallets don't require KYC but are not safe while free apps like Jaxx while other apps like Xapo and Crypterium require KYC but are secure in terms of your money being safe but you cannot use them if you receive money from gambling websites (they hold your wallet's private key) unlike Jaxx. Blockchain.info is the most unreliable wallet so don't use it.

Also, fee depends on your incoming transactions (incases you receive amounts below 0.01 BTC) while you can set a low fee for your transactions on almost all wallets. The confirmation time may differ.

Exchange websites can never be considered as wallets. They keep getting hacked so never trust them with your money nor any website which doesn't give you access to your private key.

Sorry for the late reply. As I said in the OP, I am accepting only PayPal and from users I can trust and who are reputed on the forum. No bank deposits or any other method.
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 01, 2019, 11:47:15 AM

Ishant has been performing exceedingly well with both bat and ball so far in this series and now the selectors will be a worried lot. There are too few slots and too many talented bowlers. In the West Indian pitches they can go with three pacers - Ishant, Bumrah and Shami. But one of them needs to be dropped for the sub-continental matches.

I would go with Sharma and Bumrah as both are the best bowlers India has had but I still doubt if Sharma can perform the same way against other teams as earlier he was known for giving away too many runs and wides due to his height. Just hope his talent is not limited only to weak teams like WI.
709  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Need Suggestion about Paytm Account. on: September 01, 2019, 08:29:39 AM
Well, right now you can. However, after the 22nd of September, I'm not sure if you'll be able to.

Why 22nd September? It can be used for all other tasks except accepting money/cashback or bank withdrawals. I cannot find any information on a limit on recharges till now.

I have sold some DLSD tokens on the site and gladly they got sold else they were not even getting sold for a cent on Ether and Forkdelta. However, I can't understand that even for trading, I had to complete Tier 2 verification. This requirement should be only for withdrawal and not for trading.

Jadeja gone ...

450 ?? i hope you are not expecting Ishant sharma to score all the runs Cheesy now best bet for India is to reach 370-90 runs, Jadeja's silly shot changed the situation. now windies can really hope to wrap up tailenders quickly, luckily Gabriel bowling good as well and fifer should come to Jason holder.

But still they managed 416 without Jadeja, all thanks to Vihari's 100+ runs. Yes, I was not expecting Sharma to score the runs buthe did lol. He batted like Ashwin used to with Dhoni. I was only holding on Jadeja-Vihari's partnership which did not last long.

The way WI are playing, the first innings will get over before lunch and the second after lunch Cheesy
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 31, 2019, 03:59:42 PM
Looks like a 450+ score would be good enough to defend for India and there are chances they could win the match and one innings. Virat and Vihari have outperformed for the team but just wish atleast Vihari can reach 100 else Jadeja is still on strike (run out chance missed, glad).
713  Local / India / Re: Have anyone tried to convert Crypto to INR using Neteller or Skrill? on: August 29, 2019, 06:43:11 PM

In that case, you may just sell your Crypto through P2P and convert it to Neteller or Skrill USD. Then convert that USD to INR. Then there will be no chance of any trouble.

The case with Skrill/Payza is that both are reversible and plus dealing with bitcoins and then withdrawing it via bank can be risky and may lead to closure of the account.

I do not think so the government will monitor which method you are depositing money in Skrill or Neteller. I even checked their TOS now to check whether they updated anything regarding that and there is no restriction on that till now and you can still deposit bitcoin with a usual processing fees of 2.5%. Then there is conversion charges and when i did i remember they deducted over 25 k INR when the amount finally reached my account. Never used their service for bitcoin transaction after that.

I paid unocoin more than that amount as fee as I remember paying over 2-5k per transaction. And it was not even conversion fee so Skrill must be better off. May be because they changed the verification procedure, you did not receive any letter as now the method doesn't exist.

714  Local / India / Re: Have anyone tried to convert Crypto to INR using Neteller or Skrill? on: August 29, 2019, 08:37:16 AM
But is it safe now? If the bank checks that the transaction is from Skrill and they find that we deposited BTC in Skrill and converted it into INR, it still is against the RBI ban.

For me, I knew Skrill as Moneybookers in 2012 and that time KYC was very easy. They sent a letter to my residence which I had to confirm and the process took about 1-2 days for even bank verification. Never withdrew INR though.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 29, 2019, 08:30:41 AM

Isn't it 1-1? Australia won the 1st test, 2nd one is drawn and England won the 3rd. Both team has opportunity to lift the Ashes 2019, however, Australia could have changed bowlers which is likely to be happened in nezt matches.

It's 1-1 only.

The best thing about test matches are able to yield a result unlike earlier times when teams used to not declare and the matches used to end in a draw. May be because these are WC matches.

WI vs IND: Jadeja will be playing in place of Ashwin. Don't know why they can't play both.
Keemo Paul will play in place of Cummins. The later's SR is better but he is still a newbie unlike Cummins. WI are out of options.
716  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano S vs Nano X capacity on: August 28, 2019, 11:04:32 AM
It's better to purchase the USB from ledger only as it's durable and plus safe to use. Also, I don't see it feasible to connecting nano S with a smartphone as ledger live isn't fully developed for Nano S users and they can only view the balance (not transact).
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SilentNotary The 1st Blockchain Notary Company in the world! on: August 28, 2019, 10:12:02 AM
SN had given weird instructions for bounty participants and requires us to spend ETH and ehnce many did not even follow the instructions to get paid (including me). It proved to not be worth spending any money as the tokens itself were of no value (0.000005 per token). They should have sent the tokens directly to the address but they didn't.

Instead of announcing it on telegram, they should announce it hear also as if anyone does a transaction, they won't get their tokens due to the upgrade.

How much is the staking reward in FX? Do we receive it monthly?

^They are posting spam messages now and it doesn't even appear to be anything related to their project, just random articles. The team has completely stopped updating like before as they know everybody has moved on.
720  Local / India / Re: Where are the founders of Co insecure? on: August 27, 2019, 08:27:34 AM

Last year i remember Benson telling that they will back and they are going through legal things at that time and then they will relaunch again, since that i never heard about them in the public. May be Benson has no further updates regarding the relaunch, they gave a better rate than the rest of the exchanges and i personally like to see them again.

I hope Benson is seeing this thread, we would like to hear from you regarding this.

Hacked exchanges (unlike Binance) never or rarely come back and they always promise to relaunch not to left users disappointed. Unocoin is still managing some how but has removed half or more of their staff. There are more chances of Unocoin and Zebpay relaunching in India but not Coinsecure (IMO). Benson has been really helpful on this forum but it's sad to see how things turned.
