Your RPi is not seeing the AUC module.
It would normally show up in the "Avalon Devices" section. Until you get the RPi talking to the AUC, it will never be able to talk to the miners.

No, all Controller (Raspberry Pi) software before version 20171216 are not compatible with the A8 series. Controller (Raspberry Pi) support for the A8s only began with the addition of commit 591b6a9 and the ones after it. thank you for the clarification

There is really no cheap and easy fix for it. Since the s5 is a very outdated piece of tech I wouldnt waste any money trying to repair it.

How exactly is DHCP going to fix a webpage reporting issue? That makes no sense.

Why do people keep going back to Adam
I kind of want to quote myself from way earlier in this thread where I asked everyone why his claims backing them gave them any credibility at all. Should we start another fun thread about when their magical blake2b miner comes out with its 10x increase in speed over anyone else? I mean thats gotta be totally legit right?
|
|
|
your question doesnt make any sense. Are you talking about the average speed going lower because you disconnected? Thats exactly what happens when you are averaging out your speeds.

It sounds like you are getting the full hash power. What exactly is the problem if it is functioning as intended?
P.S. Bitmain will not warranty it if the machine is hashing as expected. You will just be wasting your money on shipping.

Halong Mining is just a scam company that will never release any actual hardware. You dont have to worry about this messing up any ecosystem since it is just vaporware.

run linux and most of your problems will immediately go away

Pretty much the same problem I ran into. There's some crucial steps missing from the GitHub. Might be completely different if you're an experienced linux user but my knowledge is limited. I emailed Steven in early Dec, he forwarded my email to shibin@canaan-creative.com but never heard back from anyone. I am decently experienced in linux and so far I have been able to get the web portal up and running. The problem I am running into is with the authentication. It doesnt even error out when you try to put credentials in, it just does nothing when you make the login attempt.

No you should not be worried. This is totally normal for the s9.
e.g.: I have a machine with a 43 day uptime. One board has 55k hw errors, the second board has 35k hw errors, and the third board has 472 hardware errors.

You will pretty much always maek more money by not profit switching. Profit switching to maximize profits is a joke, it just doesnt work for the vast majority of people. Either you are live converting to fiat to capitalize on things or you are letting a company like nashhash convert for you and take a chunk of your profits.

It amazes me that so many people are ok with the Sia devs threatening to change the algo to prevent other companies from making an ASIC. This is much nastier market manipulation than people claim bitmain is trying to do. At least other altcoin devs that threaten to change their algo to keep it ASIC resistant arent at the same time trying to sell their own ASIC hardware.

While there are schematics and repair protocols, none of them are easy or intuitive. IF the fix was easy it would already be out in the wild for everyone to use.

Is the 821 firmware available for the controllers yet? I got a blokforge 741 controller but now getting an Avalon 821 miner instead so mineaswell get ready
The current RPi software works for both the A6 and the A7, chances are it will work for the A8 as well. The big difference will be the internal mm firmware for the miners daughter card, that is what actually controls the boards.

Please post this in the altcoin section, you will get answers there. This is the bitcoin support area.

You will have better luck with Linux. Windows is dogshit for mining.

I noticed a half TH/s improvement at the "0" voltage offset after moving from a junk supply to a server grade one. I went from 7.1 TH/s 24hr average to 7.6TH/s 24hr average.
This is because your server PSU is probably outputting 12.3-12.5v as opposed to the 12v from the cheap PSU. Avalons dont regulate power the boards like bitmains miner do so as you increase the input voltage, the output will increase until something on the board pops.
