701  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Someone help me solve this cryptowaves.app mystery on: August 13, 2023, 03:38:17 PM
Cant access it both in wifi and mobile data also using 3 different  browsers. But its up on https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/cryptowaves.app.html

I dont know what's wrong too lmao.

Hmmm I can still access the website.

Could you try to access from this link, see: https://www.cryptowaves.app/

I found that simply typing in cryptowaves.app doesn't work for me. I think I may have used the link from their twitter account on my 3rd try.
702  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Someone help me solve this cryptowaves.app mystery on: August 13, 2023, 03:03:02 PM
I could not access it on my first and second try however it just worked after. I'm not sure what happened lol, perhaps intermittent down times?

I also dropped it on urlscan and it was able to picked it up, see: https://urlscan.io/result/26a2c6e9-87fb-476d-9e2e-af2828421bb9/
703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help with Bittrex KYC on: August 12, 2023, 10:52:47 PM
When you try to access Bittrex.com from outside of the US you will be automatically redirected to Bittrex Global. But that probably wasn't always the case so it really depends on when the OP created his account.

Oh I was asking about OP's recent login. Judging from OP's post, I assume they have tried to log in within this month or year.

OP created their account before mandatory KYC so there was no bittrex global yet.
704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help with Bittrex KYC on: August 12, 2023, 06:13:32 PM
That's weird because if you're from Germany, then you must be on Bittrex Global which should be fine as only US users (bittrex.com) are affected.

I signed up when there was only bittrex.com in existence. IDK if they automatically transferred the funds to bittrex global when it was founded. Probably not since I got this email to withdraw my funds.

I can't say for sure but I'd say it's good to discuss it with the support because bittrex.com only service US people and you could encounter issue/s when verifying because your personal information/document will indicate Germany.

How are you accessing bittrex.com though? were you using a VPN? because they are geo-blocking people. I tried accessing bittrex.com from an EU IP and was redirected to global website.

The submit a request should be the same as sending them an email. Have you received a confirmation from them confirming they have received your request?

I got some kind of "ticket" on https://bittrexglobal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests
It's status is "open" with no answer or reaction ever.

ohh yeah, that means they got it.

You should see a ticket number as well which you could use to escalate your case on Bittrex' social media accounts. I should warn you though that there are a lot of scammers pretending to be bittrex on social media so DO make sure to check if the handle is correct.
705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help with Bittrex KYC on: August 12, 2023, 09:20:32 AM
To answer some questions:
I am from germany.
I left the bittrex account inactive for many years when I stopped to use the faucets after google banned most of them into starvation.
There never was a KYC required back when I used the account.
What I had in mind is to give the complete control over the account to someone who can pass the KYC.
That person could then send the coins to me. Though I am not yet exactly sure where to have them sent.

That's weird because if you're from Germany, then you must be on Bittrex Global which should be fine as only US users (bittrex.com) are affected. Try to bring this up to bittrex, perhaps there was a mistake or some sort. If your last login was when there was still no-mandatory-kyc, perhaps your account hasn't fully transitioned to global version hence you received an email about bankruptcy yada -- a guess.

Does this affect Bittrex Global / customers outside the U.S.?

This decision does not affect Bittrex Global, which only services non-U.S. customers and does not provide services in the U.S., and there will be no change to the Bittrex Global service offering. All Bittrex Global customer funds continue to be safe and accessible, and they remain committed to providing their customers with the safest, most secure, and most compliant exchange in the market.

However, you still have to KYC if you wanna get your funds out as I believe KYC is still mandatory on both US-only and global platforms.

Quote
EDIT: Where to contact bittrex aside from their "support zendesk" thing?
I did not find any email adress one could write to.

The submit a request should be the same as sending them an email. Have you received a confirmation from them confirming they have received your request?
706  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Iceriver.io - not sure how to proceed, but we got scammed. on: August 12, 2023, 06:17:37 AM
So an update just occurred. A man has contacted me on Kaspa Discord - the CEO of coinpal.io

He made an investigation for me locally (in Hong Kong) with the information provided in this thread. He was able to help them locate the payment and my order has been changed from "on hold" to "waiting for delivery".

I've never heard of coinpal.io but quick search indicates they're iceriver's payment processor for cryptos. Glad that your case has moved forward. Goes to show that taking things on public does work in some cases.

That is really weird. I mean, how did that guy even find your Discord if you haven't posted it anywhere on this forum as far as I can see.

Another possibility is OP posted about this thread on the discord server and got noticed.

Still, it might be wise not to celebrate too soon until those miners are actually in your hands.

That's true plus OP has to confirm the miner's promised claims as well. It's from a new company that had some promising claims so lots of people were on the fence. The videos going around probably helped a lot of people hit the checkout button.
707  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SITES/PLATFORM TO SELL BUSINESS FOR BITCOIN on: August 12, 2023, 03:34:19 AM
There are a couple of platforms for buying and selling digital goods for bitcoin/crypto e.g. bitify, forums, openbazaar (opening soon), etc.

But I'd imagine selling a business and the likes has some bits a general marketplace does not cater. In this case, I don't think there's a dedicated bitcoin marketplace for businesses and the likes. Another thing to consider is, crypto marketplaces are not as well known as fiat platforms hence less viewers -- makes sense since they've been on business for much longer and fiat is most used. Platforms like openbazaar aren't also beginner friendly.
708  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FAKE ONLINE GURU @hustlemantherapper on: August 11, 2023, 02:51:35 AM
Hold up. Why did you edit your post? You were talking about https://www.instagram.com/eloyriverax/ and suddenly replaced it with a different account... First couple of posts from my fellow members were also talking about Eloy Rivera.

Archived post from ninjastic:

I expose and clown scammers as a hobby there is a user who commented "I have a proposal for you, DM ME" on my post which was just a pic of me and my family

I texted him and clowned the shit out of him, he couldn't show his open sea or meta mask ( he has a BAYC pfp)
he's verified and I've seen that on Bitcointalk.org he's already been talked about as a scammer
he couldn't show anything and I suspect that the account was varifed because eloy Rivera is the name of someone from BBA (big brother Argentina)
I don't believe that the currect instagram owner of this page is Eloy, eloy didn't speak any or much English and this Scammer on instagram speaks perfect English..

just as an example I am From Poland and I don't. type English correctly
he speaks English better then Any anglo I've met

he doesn't send audio messages which is fishy and post important hasn't posted "his" face in over a year

every story post is just a lifestyle picture that doesn't have his face in it.
he is verified which is something a lot of scam victims automatically assume makes someone credible
here's his instagram ( DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THIS CLOWN) https://www.instagram.com/eloyriverax/

I find this very odd, what is the catch here lol? the people accused do seem suspicious enough that I'd stay away as far as possible but who knows about OPs personal scam baiting/busting stories as there is no supporting evidence unless op provides it.
709  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Idmining.com is hellish scammer on: August 10, 2023, 11:59:18 PM
I can't stand the fact that Trustpilot and Cloudflare are not reacting to scam whistleblowers. Those companies are jokes. Is there any way to publicize the shameful behaviour of companies on the Internet? How to draw the attention of any law enforcement to investigate and chase scammers? Even the FBI and UK CyberCrime departments are not responding to my appeals. I'm all left alone.

Have you at least gotten a police report filed in your jurisdiction? if so, request a copy and send it to OKX so they know your case is in process and perhaps try to request for an extension as well. If you're from US or UK, maybe there's a way to file online too.

If you can't get ahold of authorities after that, try calling or going over the counter because there is a good chance solely writing to them will get you inboxed for some time as it is safe to assume they are receiving a lot of complaints hence the mentioned suggestion will land you better chances.

The sad reality is they have limited resources hence prioritize cases. If memory serves right, I remember reading an article about an FBI officer saying there are a lot that are too insignificant for them to look into. However I do think you have an edge since the perp is using custodial CEXs and the small number of addresses mentioned (perhaps the tip of an iceberg) have transacted with big amounts which I highly suggest emphasizing.
710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: binance vs decentralized exchange on: August 10, 2023, 10:41:53 PM
Another option you could look into is opting for a no-mandatory KYC centralized exchange. Emphasis on "no-mandatory KYC" as this means there's a chance they could request it from you.

CEX list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5461920.0
I'd also recommend this thread if you wanna minimize the risk of using CEXs: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5456199.0

Quote from: op

I would suggest adding anything that could in some way support your claim e.g. the screenshots from your bank, conversation with iceriver + bank, etc.

Because it appears this has been talked a lot in the mining community with videos going around as well. I'd up the game by following the suggestion mentioned.

Users think it is the original site

icerivermining dot com
first websites: icerivermining dot wordpress.com

Nice phishing attempt, they're obviously yours lol.

One is barely a month old, the other one is made free on wordpress lol
712  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM REPORT] Bitmart.com SCAM, stolen over $100k on: August 10, 2023, 11:28:28 AM
OP, have you just started to be active in crypto space again? because it does look like it from your post.

Hate to bring this to you but in general, CEXs can be intrusive and trigger-happy. With that amount, one could say you'd be ringing most CEx's alarm bells and may have gotten the request of source of funds as well. In the future, you'd need to keep this in mind if you wanna dabble into centralized exchanges again.

It would be a different story if they aren't cooperating though. Could you post your conversation with them?

Have you tried stating your situation to them as well? perhaps you could also find something on your old email accounts that could be a supporting evidence.
713  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: decentralized exchanage for p2p on: August 10, 2023, 08:42:25 AM
in the case of p2p there is a high chance of being scammed especially when you don`t know the person

As long your chosen p2p platform has a good reputation + offer escrow + you've read the common scam schemes on p2p trades, you should be fine. I've been p2p-ing for fiat <-> crypto for years and never been scammed.

Question
this are the only two legit DEX I know for p2p and so I will like to know other DEX that are good for kyc ?

Honestly, I only know BISQ. There are other platforms which claimed to be decentralized but if you look closely, they aren't so that's something to keep in mind.

I just wanna add that there are non-fully-custodial alternatives that also don't do identity verification like agoradesk and robosats. They may not be decentralized but they have taken users privacy into huge consideration.

I wonder if the person who gave it informed you if your collectible has some btc's? afaik some could be empty.

In any case, are you able to find any information that looks like:

An address: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Invoice_address
A private key - https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Private_key
or a QR code?
Note: don't post your private key or any qr code you find on public

Otherwise, i think we may need to identify what kind of collectible do you have. There are different kinds of it you see: [REFERENCE THREAD] - Physical Bitcoins in the News

In this case, you could try posting a picture of what it looks like but remember to blur any sensitive information. I would also move the topic to Collectibles board (see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0) as a lot of people there are well versed on this. 716  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Crypto exchange is the best for intermediaries Traders and Invesotors. on: August 06, 2023, 07:52:46 PM
Binance also does no KYC and limits it to 2000 daily.

I myself am using Binance at the moment to trade.
KYC is optional for everyone, for those who don't mind it there is no hesitation to KYC, but for those who really think about their personal data then stay away from KYC.

That was a thing from the past and binance have long implemented mandatory KYC, see:

Why do I need to complete Identity Verification?

All new users are required to complete [Verified] to access Binance products and service offerings, including cryptocurrency deposits, trades, and withdrawals.

Existing users who haven’t completed [Verified] verification will have their account permissions temporarily changed to “Withdraw Only,” with services limited to fund withdrawal, order cancelation, position close, and redemption.

I kinda value my privacy. So, non-KYC Exchange suggestions would be really helpful.

Not to be confused with no mandatory KYC. It's good to know as early as possible that if an exchange is custodial, they can always ask you to verify your identity. Because your coins are held in their custody, they may also freeze it for some time if they deemed so.
717  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying food with BTC on: August 06, 2023, 06:47:43 PM
Do you know of any restaurants and/or supermarkets in the US and abroad that sells food for BTC?

I just saw this post and I don't think yelp.com has been mentioned. I recommend looking into it specially if you're in the US because afaik it is most used in the said country.

As you can see, they have an "Accepts Cryptocurrency" filter you can use.

The problem is, there is no bitcoin specific filter but you could always ask the restaurant prior to your visit. My guess is there's a good chance a lot of them accept BTC since it's the most popular.

Lastly, since LN has been mentioned as well, there's a really good directory for it, see: https://lightningnetworkstores.com/?tags=food
718  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: T-shirt Startup on: August 06, 2023, 02:10:17 AM
I've seen start ups in online communities did an interest check by posting sample products/models. Perhaps that is something you wanna consider as well.

However, as with any business, the product quality and how you market your brand are big contributing factors. I highly suggest coming up with original designs instead of something people have seen a lot of times already like a big ass coin symbol slapped on a shirt/hoodie. There's also nothing wrong if you would hire account/s with reasonable following to share your post.
719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about stopping crypto trading or stock trading on Twitter? on: August 04, 2023, 11:39:31 PM
What do you mean? can you post a source?

I don't think people are trading on twitter/X yet because all I see from searching are articles from this year indicating plans/groundwork for a trading hub - which may/may not include rumors, mind you.

or do you mean people buying and selling through DMs by themselves? (high risk, don't try)
720  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Idmining.com is hellish scammer on: August 04, 2023, 10:23:32 PM
If OKX claims 32BgauNVxn6A8byZtDjPTMLRkHYWGVbjun is not theirs, I'm afraid, there's nothing much we can do unless we somehow able to get ahold of a solid proof and they admit there was a mistake.

As of writing both oxt.me and oklink.com tags the address in question as OKX address but I doubt any of them will claim all the data they present is fool proof. However, it wouldn't hurt to try to reach out to them how the OKX tag on this particular address came to be.

I did see the binance tag on breadcrumbs.app at some point btw however I asked binance and the support told me it's not theirs. You may try to ask again for a second opinion, they have a live chat.

I forgot to mention this but you should also look into if you can can deduct your losses to your tax in your country, see: https://koinly.io/guides/ (note: look for the question about stolen crypto)
