7001  Other / New forum software / Re: Email Address to Personal Message? on: October 02, 2014, 01:54:46 PM
Really it would be nice as we don't want to use our personal email and we can get a dedicated email for forum usage. But I think it would be better if it only for Full Member+ or at-least Member+. Otherwise, like dserrano5 said, people will sign up just to have an email address. We can reach Member very easily, so it would be better if it Full Member+. Roll Eyes Any other suggestions on the restrictions?

Did you move the files to $HOME/.bitcoin/(Linux), $HOME/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin/(Mac), %APPDATA%\Bitcoin\(Windows) ? If not, do it and then re-open Bitcoin-Qt. Smiley

You haven't replied on this, yet? Huh

I think a new problem has been arisen. So have you done that? Did you forgot about the license agreement? Huh OR is voisine wrong? Huh

What do you mean by "Bither is a server trusting wallet"? Huh Please check carefully and please don't spread false news! Roll Eyes Smiley

You are correct. My apologies. I mistook the code that connects to the bither server api for the code that handles transaction and balance data. The bitheri library appears to have copied large portions from the breadwallet source, and is in violation of the MIT copyright license I published it under. Sad I've submitted a github issue requesting they retain my copyright notice in compliance with the terms of the MIT license.

Ok I get it
You mean deleting posts in a way that easily allows multi deletion
I thought you wanted to mess with the histories of posts that the forum will keep for each post

Yes! Sorry for not explaining correctly. I mean deleting from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=UID;sa=showPosts . For mine, it will be https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=320943;sa=showPosts  . I hope you understand correclty now. Smiley

Out of curiosity: how can I calculate the version of a coin? As far as I've read, it has to do with the public address... but can't seem to find a way to see the version of a specific crypto.

It's just the first byte of DecodeBase58Check(address)

Thank you! Smiley Which Python should I use? 3.4.1 or 2.7.8 ? Which one are you using? Huh Smiley

  ~~MZ~~

Pywallet runs only with 2.x but DecodeBase58Check should work with 3

Okay! Smiley When I read the comparison table of Python 2.7 and 3, I think 3 is bit better but still most of them are non-compatible with 3. So, will Pywallet be compatible with 3 in future?

7007  Other / Off-topic / Re: How often do you clean your computer? on: October 02, 2014, 05:35:59 AM
Cleaning my CPU is very rare though I clean monitor when it is covered with dust!

Whenever I spill something on it or jizz on it.

7008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to remove the Dust of 1 Satoshi Spam tx on: October 02, 2014, 05:33:03 AM
Peter Todd wrote a Dust-be-gone script that functions similar to Coinjoin transactions.

All the dust is bundled into one large transaction that is paid to the miners.

That is good! Have anybody tried? OR you can just sent 1 satoshi to an address and make remaining satoshis as fess. It would clean the dust!

Mainly, its not for me, I suggested in behalf of another user. Anyway, that doesn't matter. You will have to go through each thread if you delete posts individually but if an option to delete posts from history it would be much more easier. Some users like to delete their posts, so this would be a good option. Just suggested! Roll Eyes

Why would you want to delete posts from posts history?

Confused about this as well. What is the purpose? How is it different from deleting an individual's posts?

NastyFans (Thread)
Payment period: Monthly
Minimum posts: "Must Be An Active Member of BitcoinTalk"
Payments: 1 NastyPool lottery ticket per month
Miscellaneous:

PS - Moneypot campaign terms have changed for October.

This was posted from September 3 and updated today. It's unclear what the nastylotto ticket exactly is and I bet most people have no idea what the mentioned seats are. This doesn't look like a regular campaign, some clarification would be nice though.

=snip=

The prize for the lottery is a portion of funds that are held in the NastyPool holding address.  It is derived from the distributions of 250 NastyFans seats.  The lottery will be weekly once it goes into effect, but it is still being developed and will be implemented after we have our P2Pool NastyPPS payout system completed.

Can't we select posts in the thread and then click 'Delete selected' to delete it? Is there any problem with it?

Why are you wanting to delete posts en masse? I think a way to be able to scroll down your post history and delete from there would be a good idea. Maybe someone should suggest it for the new forum software.

Done! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=805952.0 I suggested it, I hope it will be implemented! Smiley

Hello! Please implement an option to delete posts from post history. It would be much easier for users to delete posts, if they want to delete many posts at once. Suggestions would be helpful! Smiley

7019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Micro transactions - confirmations? on: October 01, 2014, 02:14:17 PM
if the transaction is more than 5500+ satoshi if you pay fee or not it must be confirmed. minimum fee is usually 10.000 satoshi.

Wrong! I tried it by sending 0.05 BTC and it didn't work when not including a fee. There is no minimum fee, you can even send a 0 fee transaction but it will hardly get a transaction, sometimes it will be broadcasted from many days and just drop out. It is better to send a transaction with 0.001BTC and if you can't then, 0.000001BTC. Lower than that would make the transaction hard to get a confirmation. Roll Eyes

I wonder why they waste their time doing that? any benefit?

Some people might believe it. They are giving it a try. If the person believed it, then they got a success. Roll Eyes I think they have nothing to loose except this satoshis which is toooo small.. Roll Eyes
