721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FIMKrypto: NXT spinoff 30s blocks, POW-like rewards, national income *FIMK on: November 18, 2014, 09:18:02 PM
By results of work and discussion of the project the decision is made:

1. Dividends will be weekly paid (in any day of the week on my discretion), once a week.

2. The percent of payments for assets becomes fixed, and 1 asset = 1 FIMK dividend won't change any more

3. All assets are in free sale, respectively will become market soon

4. I will send 1 SRWP each Asset Exchange-beginner which will write me to PM (the personal message) number of the FIM account and the public key (it here: Dashboard -> Account Balance -> More Info).

All dividends for the current week are paid

Thanks

It sounds like you are saying you will pay dividend weekly regardless if you sell 200K.  If so then that's great and I would invest.  Nice work!

The percent of payments for assets becomes fixed, and 1 asset = 1 FIMK dividend won't change any more

Is there a thread or page that describes this asset?

Why would I have to re d/l the block chain when moving from 1.3.2. to 1.3.3? Nothing worked with my existing db?

Or, is it because I installed the 1.3.3 superNet version?

Possibly this:

Quote
Updated jetty to version 9.2.4. If unpacking on top of a previous installation,
delete your lib directory first to remove the old jetty libraries.

https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-3-3/

I mean, the horse is out of the barn now. But, when I update I delete everything except nxt_db folder. I assume jetty is embedded into the distribution. I'm on windows btw.

725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EPESO] - E-Peso Initiative | Philippine Government-backed on: November 06, 2014, 06:10:57 PM
True but EPESO distribution was free and it needs some time to be valuable...

Right, and I'm not sure how that would ever happen.

If a government entity wants to create a Crypto currency that is official or somehow tied to or backed by their actual currency, they aren't going to BUY some existing tokens.

They are going to issue Tokens and require that they are purchased with Fiat pesos. They would have full control over the tokens population.

So, that said, I'm pretty sure this would be a prof of concept token which the apps, etc, are written to use. But, if those assets are accepted/acquired they would be switched to the officially backed government token.

If the Dev thinks or implies that these tokens would become the actual tokens I really think he is mistaken. If anything, the Gov't would "pay" him for any Software that he creates which they could then brand, sign, and tie to their official currency asset token. They also might hire him to help maintain/enhance any other infrastructure they require.

This is a test case for the clearinghouse protocol on top of viacoin. Not a get-quick-rich scheme.

Exactly, it isn't a get any money at all scheme. Thanks for putting on one sentence what I put in 4 paragraphs.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EPESO] - E-Peso Initiative | Philippine Government-backed on: November 06, 2014, 06:09:44 PM
total coin?
PoW or PoS?

It is neither PoW or PoS, it is a Clearinghouse asset. The population can be changed by the asset issuer.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET asset 12071612744977229797, trading symbol UNITY on: November 06, 2014, 06:04:42 PM
The new DB design made it so the old InstantDEX code was not quite right. I ended up rewriting it and most of it is gone! this is good as the less code, the less bugs. Still not fully debugged, but via DHT all orderbooks exist in the cloud

./b SuperNET '{"requestType":"placebid","baseid":"11060861818140490423","relid":"4551058913252105307","volume":"1.01","price":"0.006"}'
./b SuperNET '{"requestType":"placeask","baseid":"11060861818140490423","relid":"4551058913252105307","volume":"1.0","price":"0.0065"}'

You can dynamically create any orderbook between any two assets and the pricing is using arbitrary precision volume and price. this is converted internally to 64bit ints.

./b SuperNET '{"requestType":"orderbook","baseid":"11060861818140490423","relid":"4551058913252105307"}'
./b SuperNET '{"requestType":"orderbook","baseid":"4551058913252105307","relid":"11060861818140490423"}'

By changing the order of the base currency to relative currency, you can flip the orderbook to whichever orientation is more natural to you. Internally, there is only one orderbook with the "key" being (baseid XOR relid)

}

you can get more info by adding an "allfields":1, the most important is the address of the one making the bid/ask, that way you can directly "negotiate" the trade, so this means you can complete a trade offchain. To do this you need to use the makeoffer API and it will invoke the default tradebot on the other side, so I need to port the tradebots next.

}

I have only tested this in some simple cases, so not sure how solid it is, but now I can maintain orderbooks for Telepods, so the needed components are coming into place.

James

P.S. Until the BTC bear market is over, I would not expect any big price increase, but there is still chances for this as things can happen very quickly in crypto

I've never been sexually arroused by code before.... That's the last time I'll be able to say that.

You still haven't been, there's no code there.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FIMKrypto: NXT spinoff 30s blocks, POW-like rewards, national income *FIMK on: November 05, 2014, 08:58:07 PM
A question: I withdrew ~30,000 FIMK (the first FIMK I bought) from DGEX 1-2 days ago to my address FIM-XZXB-V4LF-ZU82-44RPX

The problem is the FIMK haven't yet shown up in my wallet. At the time of my withdrawal I was using the client I downloaded from your website. This was the first transfer I have sent to this address. Then I started using the wallet here: https://fimkrypto.github.io/mofo/launch.html The transfer does not show up in the mofo wallet either. To test whether it works, I then sent 2 FIMK from a faucet to my address and it worked, it showed up in my mofo wallet (although I remember I did something called - if I'm not mistaken - "publishing my public key" from the mofo wallet before the 2 FIMK faucet transfer).

So bottom line: is there something I might have done wrong and that can be corrected to have my balance reflect the ~30,000 FIMK I sent from DGEX? Or does the fault lie entirely on DGEX and I have to keep pressing them for an answer and to speed up the processing of my withdrawal?

Many thanks for your help!

Your account has a balance of 32,654.62392. You should see that in your wallet. If not, then you are perhaps your wallet is  on a fork.

Hi all,

I told BK I would take a look at the NAUT PoS transition.  I will need to check out the current code base, look at the implementation requirements and run some simulations.  No guarantees, no timeline.

If there are any developers who would like to assist in this, please contact me.  If you have experience in this PoW to PoS transition, then that would be great.

Thanks,
Julian

Was any work done? Were were told several times the dynamic PoS was in testing.

Is this normal when buying hashing power from PB Mining?

It's been 22 hr since i sent btc to pay for an order in order to finalize it. The btc still haven't shown up in my account.

I have never seen this happen before. When I bought goods and services from others, the btc usually are in my account within 30 mins in order to finalize payment or the vendor informs me with in 1 hr that they have received the funds from their payment processor.

First, you won't see "BTC" in your PBMining account. You would see the contracts you bought listed.

Second, did you pay from a wallet and not an exchange. PBMining uses the last 4 digits of your spend amount to match it your your account to bring your pending contracts on line. If the spend wasn't exactly what they requested it could delay things.

Yup i sent it from  my wallet ...but send it a bit more than the spend amount as i want to save up for a larger purchase in a few days.

That's probably the problem. You have to do an exact spend or it gets hung up like this.

There is no wallet or BTC balance on PBMining to "save up" in.

With transparent background.

Nice, but I think on a window the VIA being white is going to be washed out and not readily visible. Perhaps just have the black background as a rounded corner box around the word Viacoin. Or, make the VIA in the transparent logo darker color and/or more bold.

BW officially out and looking for a new dev again.

I thought everything is prepared for POS and we are just waiting for the book... and now this... BK give out and dont give up! And rise a kNAUT!

Who cares about a stupid book from somebody that can't control his own coin and doesn't have a clue how Crypto works. This coin never had a developer that was dedicated to this coin, only hired devs when one is needed, working for months and still deliver nothing.

Dynamic PoS is proberly not going to happen and IF it does.....it's just PoS, like every other coin allready has. Dynamic PoS connected to some kind of indicator on Wall Street? Who cares, it's not paying enough (2-3%) and it's just inflation.

So the first thing you should do is SAVE YOUR NETWORK, then come with usefull applications....throw away that book, if we want to read something we use the Internet

The Dynamic PoS had nothing to do with a wall street indicator. It had to do with the velocity and population, coin age etc and other features of the network.

I have to say, as a developer, I've never worked on any coin code myself... but I expect I could have gone from Zero knowledge of the BTC/Naut code to getting the PoS released in beta in test net (from the first announcement of it) well before this.

Buying Qora for 12 satoshi each / Selling Nxt for 6600 satoshi each / Exchanging my nxt with your qora at a ratio of 1 nxt = 550 qora / Send me a private message if you're interested in any of these deals

Alert

Don't trade with renat0. He's a scammer. He approached me with an offer of buying 100M Qora for 13 BTC. I sent first and he disappeared for 3 days. The last PM I got from him is: "Sorry for what I've done to you. I'll pay you, just don't know if in 1 week or 1 year.". It shows that nothing unexpected happened. He intended to scam me right from the start.

If anyone has any info about his real life name/address, please PM me. Few months ago he told me that he's 24 years old from Brazil. That's the only info I've got at the moment.

Why wouldn't you use Escrow?

So if you are paid to be advertised to, what will stop someone from creating hundreds of dummy accounts to harvest ad revenue? A registration fee in gems?  Smiley

I'm not a GEMs dev. But, it should be possible to tie an account to a phone ID, thus not allowing that person to have hundreds of accounts, unless he has hundreds of phones.
Hmm. Privacy out of the window there...

Not at all. Do you know what my phone's ID is?

Do you plan to develop XCH wallet to desktop use?
I would rather keep them in my wallet if i can.
+1

It can be done.
Send them (or more accurately 'assign' them) to the Viacoin address on your desktop and sure enough that is where they will go and you can be happy that you are in control of the keys.

The downside though is that you wont be able to see or interact with your XCH because the client does not have that functionality at the moment but like drak said earlier you can just import your private key into clearwallet at any time and sure enough your XCH will be there Smiley

#hackish

I used the wrong, word, it sweeps them. Clearwallet is not a centralized keystore, your private keys never leave your browser. They are deterministically generated from you seed passphrase. This means you cannot import private keys, what happens is you sweep which transfers the tokens from your "import" to a key generated by your passphrase. So you can store CH assets on any other wallet, but this is how you'd spend them.

I'm curious, how does clearwallet know how many addresses have been generated and what their labels are? Does it store that information on the server?

As you all can tell we are getting severely backlogged.  In the next couple days we should be able to catch up on all support requests.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Whats the mean of backlogged? Last Sunday it took only a couple of hours before order was prossesed. Now I have waited more then 12 hours?

Current Price: 0.0015 BTC / GHs also changed to 0.0021 BTC / GHs

Current Price: 0.0015 BTC / GHs also changed to 0.0021 BTC / GHs, Increased 40%,Who can tell me why ? Huh

I don't know, but I assume it has to do with the BTC/USD exchange rate.

It should be going down then

Really, tell me what magic match supports that statement?
