Mining with a five high end GPU's is useless. Why do you think a smartphone would be any better?
I think he thinks that he can get good hash rate with it and he can consume electricity costs. Kindly, MZ

I think it's impossible. I wonder how hot my phone if it possible to mining with smartphone. And sure the hash power is quite low if it possible using smartphone for mining.
With 2 Nexus 7, you can get ~4.7 GHs with easy miner. I heard that notion ink adam works with easy miner. Kindly, MZ really? Can you provide proof? I think, It's really impossible Sorry was a mis reading. Kindly, MZ

I have tested out RushWallet, it has AMAZING integration with onename. Type someones onename alias in the send too address and it populates with the corrospoding btc address.
Cheers.
Seems good for lazy ones like me. Can you give me the link to official page and ANN thread(if it is done) of RushWallet? Has any other tried it out? Kindly, MZ

Would it be safe to run Linux on a Virtual Machine that is not connected to the internet and have your coins stored there.
1-If I am running Windows on my Pc and the VM is running linux, and is offline, is there a possible threat for my coins?
2- Are there any versions of Linux that are better than others when dealing with Bitcoin?
3- Would I be able to have the wallets that I use on a daily basis stored on several virtual machines as well, for extra security?
1- If you planning to run it offline and send a coins from other wallet, then there will be no threat. However, making a copy of your wallet and copy of your private keys would be good as some viruses may damage computer hard disks. 2- Kubuntu and Lubuntu are Ubuntu-based lightweight distros. I recommend Kubuntu if you have min requirements to run it or use Lubuntu to get a lag-free computer. Otherwise install Linux Debian, which is least recommended option. Kubuntu min requirements:
Processor 1 GHz (x86) Better than 1 GHz (x86) Memory 512 MB 1 GB Hard drive capacity 4 GB[41] 10 GB[41] Video card VGA @ 640×480 VGA @ 1024×768
Lubuntu min requirements:
We have done many tests and we've found out that Lubuntu can be installed on a Pentium II or Celeron system with 128 MB of RAM, but such a system would not perform well enough for daily use.
With 256MB - 384MB of RAM, the performance will be better and the system will be more usable.
With 512MB of RAM, you don't need to worry much. Note: If "Desktop effects" are desired, a supported GPU is required.
3- If you are thinking to run VMs to on same computer, I don't think that would make an extra layer of security but running it on different computers would be good. Running many VMs on a computer decreases the overall performance. If you have USB or CD, I recommend you to use it as a live bootable Linux distro. It is much better. Kindly, MZ

Why does everyone around here talk about bubbles as if they are a good thing? You know all bubbles burst because they are unsustainable, right? I sincerly hope there is no bubble, ever. I do expect the value of Bitcoins to rise though.
BTC price is like a bubble. It dropped from ~$1000 to ~$400 like bubble bursts. As the above post, it is speculation, we have to dream how much the bubble goes whether the bubble bursts or not. Kindly, MZ

I recommend poloniex in this list. It is better than cryptsy. UI of poloniex is good and their service too. It is okay now, I think. Anyway, many as said, don't deposit many BTC or any other coin in an exchange or if you are doing, try to make a few orders with the same rate of the Buy order if you are selling and vice versa. Kindly, MZ

Nice. I'm currently working on bringing it to my highschool via economics.
+1. Bringing it into economics would be great and at high school would be too great. I hope it will be done. Choosing a thing when the edu is at early stage would be great for them. They can find a new way for earning money for his livelihood. He might find a job too. BTW I am really happy on hearing the news and thanks for sharing. Kindly, MZ

AFAIK it will be handled eventually, it might just take time until "the right" mod is online. But as long as its unhandled it counts only towards your total amount of reports not towards the percentage of good (or bad) reports.
Alt currency report. A lot of those go ignored. I recently read about that https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=729834.0I imagine the unhandled reports stay in the system until there is time though. Or are there parts of the board where reports are just not handled? I read about theymos having a leaky queue, is it the same for reports? How many reports are there (are handled) in 24 hours anyway? They way the stats look there should not be that many reports and mods have to check the boards mostly themselves. Last time I counted, 3-4 months ago, total reports for the entire forum was ~150 a day. So if a report sits there for more than a day or two it probably won't get handled. Also, there is literally an ignore button, which will remove a report from your queue (mostly used for foreign language board reports), so one moderator might see 1 report pending, another might see 50. Reports are handled pretty quickly everywhere except alt currencies. I agree there are lot of reports from altcoin section. So is there any action from Theymos regarding the reports? Making BCX a mod or old active trusted members to become mod? Kindly, MZ

Honestly, everyone's agreeing with this... I'm not sure why? Maybe they've never seen another forum with the like button... this is quite literally every sticky post on the forum:
<snip>
Do you really want this on half the threads on bitcointalk?
Dear god... I think someone's misunderstanding what they are going for. Not a listing of people that have liked it, but simply something like: 193 People have Liked this post!Yeah, it's obviously not gonna look like that (at least I hope it isn't ) and probably more like the Facebook or YouTube style they have. For the same reason we can have avatars (or at least those who already have them) and have activity counters. None of this really "does" anything, they are just kind of there. We could argue that activity is functional, but really it's not (you can check the age of accounts without this).
Activity/membergroups are very useful, because it shows you how active that person has actually been. A newb could sign up a couple of years ago, never post, return, make x amount of posts and then have essentially the same standing as a veteran member. The activity is a good gauge IMO and is useful, plus obviously Membergroups are tied to it. Avatars also have their function in being to identify people easier. Making a down vote would be great too if this option is adding. The down votes should be decreased from the total number of up votes but still the number of down votes should be seen separately. Kindly, MZ

Google Authenticator uses a standard protocol for 2FA. Neither the server nor the client needs to communicate with Google for Google Authenticator to work. This will definitely be supported in the new forum. (And maybe also added to the current forum.)
Thanks for notifying about adding the option. Adding to the current forum will be better as the new forum will take some months. Making 2FA a must for all would be better from hacking a but adding option would be helpful for persons who don't have android or iOS. Kindly, MZ

I think lunamine is better for Members. Now it isn't open, it will be open on tomorrow or day after tomorrow. Otherwise try to ask coinfinance. The campaign is full for members but he might give you a chance . Coinfinance's payment isn't verified. Lunamine is okay. He is paying upfront for min posts, i.e., for 20 posts. Kindly, MZ

After 15 activity it will be okay. Everybody went through this. It is to avoid spams. If you hate writing due to session times out or error, then you can go to drafts and copy the latest draft and paste it and click reply . Kindly, MZ

~~snip~~ In addition to the main rankings, there are also sub-rankings that can be applied, and those are: SCAMMER, Donator, and VIP. Finally, staff sub-rankings are as follows: Staff, Moderator, Global Moderator, Administrator, and Founder. Sub-Rank | Description | Tag | SCAMMER: | Manually applied by administration, regardless of post count and gets 5 red Xs under his name. | | Donator: | Manually applied by administration after 10 BTC donation, and gets 5 gold coins under his name of which the last is half green. 5 coins are shown regardless of post count when user is a Donator. | | VIP: | Manually applied by administration after 50 BTC donation, and gets 5 gold coins under his name of which the last is half purple. 5 coins are shown regardless of post count when user is a VIP.
| | | | Staff Rank | Description | Tag | To become a Donator or a VIP, send a PM to theymos to get a unique donation address. As you can see sub-rankings are applied by admin manually which will take some time. So I request you to make this applying automatic. For Donations: 1-5 addresses can be used for accepting and I think blockcypher or Lazy API can be used. After the transaction gets a number of confirmations, the sub-rank can be applied. Prerequisite >> Need to fetch the address which is in their profile, so the cheating will be less. BTC address in the profile should be changed in 1-3 week period. I heard that Scammer tag has been removed. Are developers planning on bringing it back? If it is please make it automatic too : Tag will appear after they get X number of -ve trust, say 50. Option for applying sub-ranks manually shouldn't be removed. Is Theymos planning on lowering donation? 10 to <= 6 and 50 to <= 25 or 30? Kindly, MZ

I don't get this cloud mining So let's say I buy 1TH/s, that's worth BTC2.9 then I mine for 30 days. Then after that, I don't want to mine anymore. Do I get my BTC2.9 back plus my earnings from mining?? not after you decide to do mining in the cloud PBmining then there will be a contract for 5 years, after 5 years of the contract will be completed and for 5 years you will get the added benefit of capital With this 5 year thing, is there any way it would become unprofitable to mine within the 5 years? I guess not since there are no fees right? How do they manage to keep this up with no fees, when expenses are probably changing all the time? We could have had fees when we started, but we decided to incorporate the costs into the purchase price instead. This not only simplifies it for the customer but also doesn't surprise them down the road. As for the question "How do they do this?"... well our business model is simply awesome that's how. Plus we use the following special sauce: (shhhh it's a secret!) +1. I really like the concept. Can you tell me how much fees are you buying at the time of buying the contract? Is the fee per GHs or is the fee per xGHs? Kindly, MZ

Anybody know how the % of accuracy is calculated? I calculated in regular way but it doesn't seem right. I think it is calculated with assigned values per good/bad report. An explanation would be helpful. Hilariousandco and some others are doing great job. Keep it up the good work and help the mods. Kindly, MZ Hilarious is a mod btw. Well if you have 50 valid reports out of 100 then your accuracy is 50%. It's simple. Can someone confirm that any pool advertising in the altcoin section is against the rules? Mine is 4 reported @ 67% , dropped to 67% from 100% after the third report. I didn't understand the calculation her. So I asked. It dropped 33% after 1 bad report but % is neither increasing nor decreasing on 4th report. Kindly, MZ
