763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't look for investment, just hodle! on: September 16, 2023, 06:05:05 PM
The reason why so many newbies have missed their steps in Bitcoin is because they have missed the primary approach to avoid getting into the wrong investment,  because we all know the risk associated with cryptocurrency for that there is need to clarify one thing which is is burn out of personal research.

Reason why many fail for scam is because they are looking for investment instead of just holding Bitcoin and wait for it value to appreciate organically,  there is no doubt that DCA approach is good but then also if a newbie os not careful you could lose along the line of DCA so DCA is out of this discussion,  but let dive into something more realistic taking recent happenings with so many investment scam,  exchanges ditching off their clients money and so many other scam projects platform and signals that are notable bad actors in the market.

To avoid all this,  it become paramount to only abide by one rules which is to keep Bitcoin in your wallet and stop looking for investment that are centralized to reduce your risk.

Just a friendly advice!

I disagree with that statement. Seeking investment is not in itself something bad as OP is trying to show. There is nothing wrong with investing in anything other than bitcoin. Sure, it's a risk, but where there is risk, there are also high material expectations of investing. Most newbies fail not because they invested in something other than bitcoin, but because they invested in all sorts of dubious schemes that promise high returns or lure them in with tasty promises of imminent riches.

If we look at investing properly, using analytics, our own research and an investment plan in place, there is still a point to investing. The problem is that most beginners don't know how to do any of this, they lose their money even with bitcoin.
764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nothing compares to BITCOIN, know this and know peace on: September 16, 2023, 05:37:00 PM
Decentralization is the grand master utility in the crypto space, which unfortunately many projects can't wrapped themselves around, many new developers know this, but they got to make money anyway.

To make money out of you guys, they give promises using buzzwords, if they don't feed you lies how will they get your attention?

Bitcoin is decentralized but their new project is also decentralized and it comes with new features blah blah blah.

Let regulations come, let the pressure hit them hard, they will slowly shed their skin and move back to the centralized sides.

I have watched few privacy coins that called themselves decentralized turned back, I have watched a few decentralized projects turning centralized all of a sudden, they knew that nothing compares to BITCOIN.

But to get your attention, to make their marketing strategy hits, they need to use the BuZz WoRds.

Treat Bitcoin as Bitcoin and treat Altcoins as Alts, because that's what they are, at the end of the day nothing really compares to Bitcoin.

Beginners, if I were you I would be less worried about Bitcoin, it's proven already, and I will be more worried about others, the journey of making money through Alts is full of thorns, stay safe out there.

That's right, bitcoin is reliable, altcoins are just toys in the hands of investors and speculators. There is no need to look for decentralization in altcoins. If a project has a group of developers, has main investors and partners, has funding rounds for funds, it is definitely not decentralized. Such projects will always be centered around a certain group of holders who have contributed their money to the development of a new product.
765  Other / Beginners & Help / Knowledge to help you argue with bitcoin critics on: September 16, 2023, 05:04:14 PM
Newbies, if you want to start learning bitcoin, it is important for you to protect yourself in time from various information garbage and all sorts of speculations related to bitcoin and its technology. For 14 years of its existence, bitcoin has grown a lot of myths, which are still actively broadcast in the space. Don't get caught in the web of myths and speculation. In any discussions related to criticizing bitcoin, it is important to arm yourself with knowledge. For this purpose, I will recommend you a good set of services and articles that will help you understand everything.

766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and get rich quick syndrome on: September 16, 2023, 04:42:31 PM
There is nothing wrong with the get-rich-quick mentality in Bitcoin and I can assure you that almost all those who are committing their money to Bitcoin are for the same reason even if many pretents.

What you don't take into account is that you can't get rich quickly with bitcoin anymore. Bitcoin has become too expensive and is not growing as fast as altcoins. Beginners with small deposits will not be able to get x100 profit in a year with bitcoin, it is impossible. In this case, the same beginners try to solve this problem with the help of trading and borrowed funds that exchanges provide. All this is a quick way to completely lose their bitcoins. Therefore, the desire to get rich quick with bitcoin still has a downside.
767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What motivated you to join the forum? on: September 16, 2023, 04:40:31 PM
All the people who come here solely to make money, most often either leave unnoticed or are glorified by various abuses, by creating many alternative accounts and abusing campaigns. What benefit do such people bring to the community and to the forum? There is no benefit, only parasitization. A lot of newcomers coming to the forum, should realize at once one simple truth that the forum is not a place to earn money, no one promises here any monetary rewards for writing posts. Properly motivated newcomers always ask a lot first, and then try to share their knowledge by creating posts and threads.

However, you have to take into account that they are doing something that is allowed to them, because otherwise they would not become members of the forum at all. The administration could solve this at any time by simply banning bounty campaigns, but how much traffic would the forum lose in that case?

In addition, all these members are mostly within one board and the administration obviously does not perceive them as a problem, but as those who (although in the wrong way) bring new members to the forum. Of course, the question arises as to what is the use of such members, but some of them will sooner or later leave the bounty campaigns and become useful members of the forum.

Why ban the bounty board? The problem is not that this board exists, the problem is that beginners do not allocate their steps correctly. The correct step is to first learn the basics of cryptocurrencies, then try to make money. I'm sure most bounty participants have little to no specialized knowledge and all their skills are mostly centered on smarts, registration and copypasting. Nowadays you don't even need to copypaste, you just need to register with some AI bot and it will generate all sorts of content for the bounty itself, starting from articles and ending with various pictures.

The phone has always been a weak point for crypto users, especially when it comes to making any crypto transactions, gaining access to an account or other confirmation methods. I prefer to trust passwords, two-factor authentication and email confirmation for any login attempt with a new device or new IP.

770  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: AI Crypto Trading Bots on: September 15, 2023, 05:51:41 PM
None. All these bots will not be able to make you a lot of money and sooner or later you will lose all your deposit anyway. Now the topic of artificial intelligence is on the hype, so it is introduced in all possible crypto services, trading, prediction, altcoins. In fact, all this is just parasitizing on technology and trying to attract attention. All trading bots work only in case of their full authorship. All ready-made solutions that are offered to you are of no value. Buy bitcoin, save it for 5 years and in 5 years you are guaranteed to have more money earned than if you try to use these AI bots. Opinion, nothing more.
771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: El Salvador: bitcoin education in school curriculum on: September 15, 2023, 04:38:42 PM
In my opinion, this should have been done much earlier than the bitcoin law. In order for the people of a country to need bitcoin, they need to have some idea of what the government is trying to offer them. Although no, the government of El Salvador didn't offer anything, it literally imposed bitcoin and it's understandable why people started to revolt against the passing of this law. No one explained to them what it is and why they need this bitcoin in their daily lives. Bitcoin lessons are necessary and important, but they should be done before such a major change in the life of a country is undertaken.

You can engage bounty and learn bitcoin, only the bounty is not in the form presented on the forum. For example, through https://dropsearn.com/. Making money from cryptocurrencies is not some kind of disadvantage, but trying to make money without knowledge and understanding of basic things in cryptocurrency is weakly effective. That is why you spent a lot of time on useless activities. In general, this is the way of many beginners, which is the wrong sequence. They first try to earn and then learn, although it should be done in the reverse sequence. First learn, then try to earn.
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bnb after next 5years on: September 12, 2023, 06:31:07 PM
Few years ago, didn’t though that bnb could reach such milestone as it is 3rd most invested altcoin in crypto world. But most of exchange tokens are fall down for being useless (only use for discounting exchange fee) as well as after exchange get hacked. So what do you think about bnb in next 5years?
Is it really worth for long investment?  Will it increase like ether or become dump like others exchange coins?

Everything will depend on what position Binance will occupy on the crypto market. If this exchange repeats the fate of FTX, then BNB can wait for something similar. I wouldn't consider such a long term investment as it's too risky to just hold BNB for 5 years. At the next bull sell early and then look at the situation, but the same behavior as in the case of holding bitcoin should not be applied to BNB.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDC is not safe on: September 12, 2023, 06:17:12 PM
In my opinion Stablecoins are bullshit and we may as well get rid of these scams with the rest of the dirty shit that went down recently. It will help to sanitize the crypto space which became 95% scam in the last several years.

Most stablecoins are centralized, so yes, it may not be worth your time and effort investing into them for the long haul. Even decentralized ones like DAI have USD reserves on a bank (which makes them partially-centralized). Any pressure from the US government in the long run could put well-known stablecoins at risk. Nothing is guaranteed to last forever, anyways.

Instead of stablecoins, why not consider cashing out for Fiat (USD)? You'd avoid losing all of your money if the stablecoin loses its peg in the long run. What will truly last are decentralized cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. When CBDCs come in, you can say goodbye to stablecoins for good. Just my thoughts Grin

I would say that all stable coins are centralized. Centralization is not always about someone controlling the issuance or the wallets of other users. Centralization can be in the issuing bank, the various pledges or securities that are involved in supporting the stable price of the stablecoin. When one of these factors is disconnected, the stablecoin often loses its peg to the dollar.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATOM token opinion on: September 12, 2023, 05:38:56 PM
ATOM is quite popular in crypto hype, when the industry revives and a lot of new tokens start appearing on the Cosmos blockchain. Now that the market is in a bearish trend, big projects are also appearing on the Cosmos blockchain, but that doesn't really affect the value of ATOM itself, Osmosis, etc. I only see the value of this chain in the long run, during a bull run.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: September 12, 2023, 05:12:38 PM
Basically, coins or tokens listed on popular exchanges are very good coins. Considering that there are so many requirements for listing on the top exchange, and also quite large costs, makes many people think that if they want to list on the top exchange, then they have to really believe in the project they are working on, and continue to develop it.
Even though there are several tokens listed such as meme coins on top exchanges, I think exchanges are also taking several opportunities to make money from several projects that are currently hyped. But, in the end we are really advised to do research before choosing this coin as a long-term investment.

Centralized exchanges cannot tell us that some coin they have added to their listings is now good. Centralized exchanges add various memcoins to their exchanges. Do they become good coins after that? No, they don't. They become liquid coins. Good liquidity means that the coin has value, but it does not mean that the project itself is good. Eventually, even on centralized exchanges, once valuable coins lose value over time and the exchanges remove them. Coins that are traded on centralized exchanges can mean a good choice for trading, but does not always mean it is a good choice for holding.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: September 12, 2023, 04:34:13 PM
Monero is becoming harder and harder to find on centralized crypto exchanges every year. Private coins there are subject to constant persecution. At the same time, the crypto space does not consist of only centralized exchanges, it is full of various P2P, DEX, Instant Swaps, where Monero is supported. Such services will always exist, which means that private coins and Monero will live on.

Monero will survive, but it will lose value once it's removed from centralized exchanges. That's because big investors won't be "pouring" money into Monero anymore. Like it or not, CEXs are the doors for "Wall Street" to get into the game. Without having access to the liquidity CEXs provide, XMR won't be able to reach a new ATH in the future. It will be an "underground coin" used only by privacy enthusiasts and criminals alike.

What matters is that Monero stays decentralized so that it could stand the test of time. Maybe it will live alongside Bitcoin for generations? No one can predict the future, so lets hope for the best. Just my opinion Smiley

Monero has long been systematically removed from centralized exchanges and moved to lesser-known exchanges or towards P2P. If Monero disappears from all centralized exchanges, the trading volume will move to decentralized exchanges, as was the case with ETH. When FTX went bankrupt, ETH trading volume on Uniswap exceeded that of centralized exchanges for the first time. Investors will find a way out, the life of the coin does not end on centralized exchanges, it is only somewhat hindered.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Problems of Algorithmic Stable Coin on: September 12, 2023, 03:26:37 PM
The problem with algorithmic tokens is that they are unstable. All known solutions to algorithmic tokens have proven to be unworkable and many have abandoned them. There is nothing more unstable in the world of cryptocurrencies than algorithmic stablecoins, which can lose their peg at any time and catch hyper inflation, as was the case with UST. At this point, algorithmic tokens are not justified and it is not worth it to use them as stablecoins. The more complex you come up with a collateral algorithm, the faster this whole system will collapse.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sybil and how it affects your Retroactive airdrop chances on: September 12, 2023, 02:55:36 PM
In order to avoid Sybil checks, one should use less software and more manual registrations and other manual ways of doing things. Crypto users are to blame for being scanned, because they want to do all the routine as quickly as possible and without their own labor costs, and then get a lot of tokens. This happens only to the most experienced sybil who know the ins and outs of automation and blockchain. In other cases it gives you away rather than helps you, so it is better to do everything yourself, without scripts.
