AND: 10 UNOs to the first person to figure it out (Guys, I'm half blind; so I spend a lot of time thinking.):
Zanzibar, Hong Kong, the Bahamas, Unobtanium?, Singapore

m.

Ans1:  Sometimes I get weird psychic premonitions.  I was just thinking during daytime, today (still Thursday), something like, "Someday we might have our own country." or "Someday we will buy our own country." once everyone figures out how awesome UNO is.  Smiley

Not sure what your riddle is, though.  Ans2:  "North Korea"?

Ans3:  "Tasmania".  Not a country, but now I'm just pandering.

Ans4:  "The best places to store your wealth." or "What are the top 5 stashes of wealth in the world?"

Tasmania ... no sure if the right call when pandering to an Aussie ... rumour has that the gene pool is a tiny pool ... not exactly a place of national pride. But I do like the unofficial slogan, "Not everything is cold in Tasmania" Wink

Aren't they all former parts of the British Empire, in particular, fortified Islands/Harbors and Banks.  Offshore is another word.

Also as far as I can tell still very active ports of call.  Lots of shipping activity to this day.  Autonomous money centers.  Hmm ... I like the pattern I see developing.

BTC is already going with Isle of Mann?  I have been ponder this way too. On my list was Hong Kong, Singapore.  Why settle for just one?  Zanzibar got a nice ring to it.  We can get a few Caribbean isles in the mix.  There are some Autonomous zones in Europe that might like UNO too.

But Marsukangabears may have mauled the one who knows the answer to this riddle.

750 BTC from ATM scheme in Spring 2014
but that BTC could possibly have been used to say fund a buyout of an actual exchange
and also kickstart the SYS 1500 BTC fund raiser.

Whats the theme on all 3? (no products thus delivered)

7743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WDC, DGC, MEC, CGB, ANC - the darlings of the last wave = dead.... what now? on: September 03, 2014, 02:15:55 PM
what about this darling coin -

http://np.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2f7n0h/dire_times_for_bitcoin_price_must_go_up_soon/ck6qc9q

BTC and LTC forever up, not so sure now are you.

WDC, DGC, MEC, ANC, BTC, LTC all have the same issue -- inflation
all will have a similar 3 year chart ... 2013-2016 ... yes they all live ... just laying down and resting for a couple 600 days

DGC is in the ICU, and needs a blood transfusion, and emergency surgery.

CGB is past that phase, but had much less energy to stabilize it,  so went down quick
(but is POS and poised to recharge at base money supply)

WDC, DGC, MEC, ANC all the same charts a higher voltage release, peak then drown in inflation.  Reduced -90%

BTC is the super charged king.  So it raised all ships and drifts down with the most resistance.  Reduced -50%
LTC in already -90% reduced.  But still stuck in inflation.  $1-$4 for a long time.

DRK is a young champ hitting the floor already, and has a better inflation rate, and still charged with bullish juices.
hard to read

and the wildcard

AUR even bad press is good press.  -99.9%
might be the first to trend bullish long
hey this lemon can't possibly suck any more
if your are rock bottom, then?

xc? bitshares? bbr, xmr, nxt?
what happens to young bulls
see the above, there fate awaits

I will cover soon:

- Monero

- Prime
- Caps
- Other PoW/PoS
- Myriad
- NXT (maybe should we bother?) (maybe to help people learn)
- Doge

yes pls.

add

- pure stakes in the top 50 market capital
- NXT, shareX (maid, DP, CP) as a group or one in particular
- Name or Ix
- PTS or XxX

and a expanded review on
Quark - A high speed network that has proven itself secure.

Efficiency?  This one is murky, but my understanding is it is incredibly Efficient.  $ required to maintain a secure network.
Also on the nature of the security.  You seem to have a good handle on the tech.

The major coins will be limited to 100 or so holding spots on the main 10 global exchanges.  Behind that will be a field of 400-500 farm league coins.  But all those are coins launched between 2012-2015.

Quote
- Yes I think that humans always find leaders, so what becomes a small connection expands and becomes a larger connection and pending further info this network effect expands, this is how "Brands" come about and even psychological patterns like "eating bacon for breakfast" or "Giving a fiancé a diamond"  these were all marketing tools that stuck on humans.

- So yes some larger brands will come forward and then there will be a "rotating stock"  of "features" and "gimmicks" etc. but anything Key or important, the large brands should be able to integrate.

Yes you seem see the same pattern.

The "Brands" and they are here already.  I doubt more than 10 new major coins will rise into the Top50 after the new year.  Forever.

But their will be a large batch of fairly solid "farm league coins" that refuse to die because they have mastered a niche and have the ability to adapt quickly.  In this small-mid cap range, experimentation will be quickly rewarded and encouraged by the market.   The trends will rise up.  Once a trend is clear then the Top50 "Brands" will adopt any new innovation, given it shows advantage ... a "rotating stock"  of "features" and "gimmicks".

In the end it causes a barrier to enter, a wall too high to scale, the small caps do all the hard work, R&D, and the Top50 quickly add any trend feature that seems to threaten their monopoly/position.

BTC and LTC face a major problem because they are too distributed and likely could not organize a simple fork.  It would take an epic 'event' and 'panic' to accomplish a big code update.

Personally I am a conservative on the 'fork' idea.  The code is the contract, it should not be rewritten.

There will be a line in the sand for most, conservative/purist that refuse even simple and helpful upgrades and the populist who want the latest "gimmicks" and want it right now. (I blame Vericoin.)

I think you nailed it there.   These are oranges not apples, will you go with this definition?

The "share-x" are "payment container" not "money"

I can only explain as a concept, the NXT is only a 'sheet of commercial paper' the value is the security and ease of transfer that they system allows.  Imagine a blank bank note, unsigned check, a empty security box.  Not really valuable as is.

But I do suggest that $millions can be assigned to these 'contracts' so expect creativity and invention and lots of trends.

But does this give value to NXT or CP or DP or MAID?  Not much.  And the field will be competitive to provide the best/cheapest.

sha3 has a spoof exploit?

Maybe smart to consider multi-algo to go "open for all".

But no rush for this move to fork.

No, probably referring to the exploit pools using vardiff can have if configured poorly.  It's exaggerated on keccak because of the higher hash rates.  If a pool resets or takes too long to calculate a proper difficulty for a client a client can just reconnect every 30-60 seconds and submit more shares at a lower difficulty.  Some pools catch this pretty quickly, others don't.

Good to know.  But that is not a problem caused by the coin, or exploiting BCT.

It does screw honest miners out of their rightful share.  But SHA256 means multi-algo or adding POS.

Doesn't bother me, I like SHA256 (mostly).  But others are keen to see sha3 cuz the evil ASIC miners!

(those evil guys won't be bother for anything paying less than BTC)

@ layer1gfx ... cool Smiley ... Now Un has several talented graphix artist willing to "Work 4 UNO"

Fuck MP!

I now agree with this.  Moo lah lah can go eat a bag of dicks.

http://blog.moolah.io/2014/09/01/mintpal-v2-tentative-market-listing/

UNO has a longer trade history than many of the 'chosen'
UNO has a bigger trade volume than many of the 'chosen'
UNO has a bigger market cap than many of the 'chosen'

And UNO is not an instant mined released 10 days ago coin unlike the 'chosen'

Unless moolah accidentally miss spelled UNO "einsteinium", the coin that invoked EMC2 and promises to help science out only to pump, dump, and abandon. 90% sure this a thinly veiled emc2 P&D in the near future once Moo insiders get the coin cornered.  Last I checked no dev, no communie, no market

Moolah's move to delete is such an insult it is not even worth the effort to protest.  Be careful of the company you keep, and MP/moo/sys is not a brand I suggest UNO associate with.

As an investor, deleting long listed coins with fair market volumes 'just cuz the new ownership likes short lists' even if I don't trade that coin is shocking and a clear signal that they don't care.  Cryptsy has a few 'problems' but at least they seem to be loyal to a coin once it is listed.  Bittrex at least has a clear rule for maintaining a listing.

A number of coin communities raised a lot of votes and 'contributed' BTC for votes to get a MP listing.  Now add in the fact that Vericoin was 'hacked' on MP, the roll back, then moolah sweeps in.  Sorry Charlie, I'll coin shop else where, cuz ya'll reek of a blend of sleezee, scamee & scumee.

re: spaghetti's SILVER COINS (see below)

Support your fellow UNO brother who offers silver bullion if you can.  Fair enough price.  Wish I lived in the UK.  I'd gladly pay a couple Gox'd BTC for just one 'Gox' silver coin.

Where I spotted this http://www.libertyinnorthkorea.org/about/ ... seems to be a good charity ... but there's something more here ... What if Un could be known as the coin that worships Kim Un but also funds charities that well ... don't.  What if Un sets up a crypto fund that will provide the necessary capital to help NK transition from a dictatorship to a free market economy.  But the pitch is a personal offer of "X Tons of Un" given personally to Kim Un if he declares it as the official reserve currency of NK.  I love the irony of an ironic worship of Un by a community called Un could be used to Un do the Un dynasty via greed to all market participants .. and nobody dies nasty.

Everyone would buy Un cuz it is backed by the NK economy, greed, Kim Un takes the deal, why? greed, then the trojan bomb, a freemarket crypto coin backs the NK economy, they get rich you get rich, how? NK notes now = uno = they are smuggled out in exchange for smuggled in "free nation goods".  The whole of NK will smoke, drink, and Party it's way to being a land of liberty and cryptography, accidentally and bloodlessly.

1 Uro is around $0.50, but 1 ton of urea is around $300 so 1 Uro is worth around 3lbs of urea, but not a whole ton or am I missing something here?
There is a protocol, signed by the 4 niers, in which they commit themselves to selling 1 MT urea for 1 urocoin (with a minimum of 12500 MT). So if you buy with them, then 1 uro is worth 1 MT urea. You can find more information in the OP and on uro.io

"There is a protocol, signed by the 4 niers, in which they commit themselves to selling 1 MT urea for 1 urocoin"

Signed Protocol (under no jurisdiction) to sell 1 MT urea for 1 urocoin

1.  pass 1 URO for 1 MT urea over the table, shake hands, take a photo op.
2.  psst ... now pass $295.50 under the table Wink

Well I think you should be recognized if/when cryptos do become part of the 'traditional' business payment and accounting systems.

Hope you keep us updated regularly on plans, outcomes, and other events.

I already think of cryptos as shares.  (bank notes as shares too)

If I accept Mexican pesos, then I am investing in the Mexican Peso Company (or whatever their central bank in named).

If I work for IBM, I could accept IBM shares as wage payment.  It's a great model, and gives you equity in the very thing you do.

Cryptos are shares for your investment in that coin.  You are investrd in the Dev team, just as you are in vested in the Dev team of any company (The Board Room).

Only 3 coins are currency is my mind.  BTC, LTC, and flavor of the week coin.  There you have liquidity, and that is the product being produced.

The rest are shares.

And unless the investor thinks that 'xCoin' can be bigger than BTC or LTC, then they best examine the 'business plan' of the coin.

TAG is slightly different, in by reversing this concept, it was a 'crypto coin plan' attached to an already functioning business.

This is awesome.  In the true sense of the word.

The more I think on the subject of "The Blue Crypto Award" the more speechless and awestruck I become.  This is a powerful idea.

Any crypto community is welcome and encouraged to join up in this quest.

Help us find the people who are creating a better world.

Crypto can be a tool to help fund and advance the ideas and inventions of the world brightest minds.  Think TED going supernova!

The focus seems to be on young new inventors, kids are naturally creative, and crypto can become a tool that encourages, allows, and promotes young genius to create.

No longer will there be a barrier between invention and finance, were the 'money' decides what gets funded.  You and me, WE, can now do the selecting and funding by way of crypto.

Help create a world were anyone, anywhere, or any age or social rank can invent.  And if the idea is good, then anyone, anywhere with an internet connection can help fund that invention.

Re: Mintpal

1.  For large orders like 10kg, trusted members of the forum can do in house, thanks to IMZ

2.  I think most prefer bittrex or coinbroker (given volume numbers) and I think these 2 are where we need focused efforts to gain and maintain 'support' channels to assure fair and quick customer service.  Long term exchange 'partnership'.

3.  Mintpal and Cryptsy stand to be dominate exchange houses, so I do NOT advocate abandoning UNO as tradable on their platform.  But I don't encourage trading there either.  Just let them be.  When the UNO price moves up, trend traders will join in (naturally) so being listed on Cryptsy is a good thing.  Crypts is also a good place to explorer bot trading, and keep grams of Un flowing by the minute.

BUT worrying about Cry or MP prices is not really needed.  Let the inventory dry up.  And it might be wise to place low ball bids on both just in case someone panic dumps on those exchanges.  Or a hand full offered at tip top rate. Delist them from Unobtanium.uno?  I get the argument, but I like the data, if we do this can we drop them from the index listing but have another /marketpage that displays the numbers?

MP and Cry -- Just let them be.

4.  I do think we need active plans and goals to develop the NAUT/UNO pair.  It is a nice 'price independence' mechanism and NAUT community is strong so it is smart to build a bridge between our communities.  PLUS ... more strong community, fair coins will natural seek to join in.  BTC, LTC are common pairs.  XMR is being established on polo.  Why not get UNO and if not us then a friendly coin like NAUT as another dominating market pair.

5.  I like the idea of auction sites.  Several coins have already built them.  Unbreakable Coin has said they added UNO (but I don't see it).  I suggest keeping an eye on these auction sites ... it is a great way to exchange UNO for goods/services or be a 'UNO accepted here retailer'  (the Ebay approach - watch dev, noble, unb, know any others?) - the vision is auctioning 1kg UNO for bundles of Xcoin, yet another 'price independence' mechanism that is free of the shenanigans used in 'book' price discovery.  BAD: so far very little action, most of the sites are empty, last year there was a neat looking and very active bitcoin auction site (forget the name and they closed shop in Dec.)

6.  Coin payment networks.  We've done well so far and still growing!  (again IMZ leading the way!!) I like things like coinomatics, and am personally willing to invest in a UNO-matic project.  http://shapeshift.io/

7.  Retail ... always on the to-do list.  We can never have too many merchants on board Smiley  but a good coin payment presents makes UNO a universal currency so if we focus on #6 we get #7.

If either of you have success, my guess is other BIGGER capitalized enterprises will follow this model you are pioneering.

The fortune 500s are still sitting on the wall, maybe a VP or 3 are paying any attention.  My guess is that the big corps are not allowed to even think this way within the inner culture of upper management.

But stellar looks very much like paypal covertly testing the field.  Overstocked is open to the idea for sure.  But the CEO is an outsider/rebel.

Dell could be the big cannon ball ... if they offer some 'gift card' / rewards coin ... then the green light is on and it is a GO!
Note they will have BTC from sales to leverage and defend the price of their company coin.

You'll see Coke, Pepsi, Subway, Walmart, and Verizon coins launching as fast as the devs can copy pasta.  My guess again is the USA corp banking system will have to develop in-house BTC financial services divisions first to facilitate the financing.  This might be the Lawsky wet dream ... the USA corp banking system controlling BTC entry by regulatory capture and getting fees for maintaining Fortune 500 'reward' cryptos.

Then 'Tagbond' will they be so kind as to feature you on the cover of a major business mag?
7759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Oracle of crypto digitalindustry trading investing fundamentals advice. on: September 01, 2014, 10:36:20 AM
sshhhh...don't scare the btc zombies..."There is no coin but bitcoin!"

I thinks you might be speaking truths a coming ... so now just between us here (and those souls on the www) ...

Yes BTC could roll down to $400 then $300 then $200 but I think you will see some thing similar to the long charts of World/Mega/Q but over a long and stable 18-24 months bearish drift on the bottom.

BTC market volume will continue to trend up to around 1-2% of total MC.  $30M/hr?

LTC will flatline for a long bottom of $4-$1 but approach the market volume of BTC (cuz it's quicker) $20M/hr?

Thus a question will nag to be answered "Why then is btc x20-x100 times more in price?  Cuz satoshi?"

Enter a big crisis of faith, the beginning of coin-Apocalypse.

The general market consensus will become "LTC" is toxic cuz of the "China mining monopoly".  Which is trueish, China will start to build an ASIC kingdom in scyrpt first.  Only very slowly will the market also 'get' that they can capture SHA256 too.

But this 'china monopoly' event will have to come in the form of 10,000 TH asic units that never ship  ... (we are at 50TH boxes today, still allowed for export).  So this is way off in the future ... like 2017 Smiley

During this time 'alt' minables will rise some.

But any thoughts that already 'distributed' coins might become the new and mighty?

NXT and Q will be holding a good position to make a BIG jump, but so to will BC, XC, rdd, pnd, mint and other pure stakes, then Peer and any old school mineable that has nearly mined out (say Doge), And cpu bot nets byte, monero, prime, ect.ect.

And then there is always UNO, and Zeta if they can gain SHA network strength. (UNO nearly ZERO inflation, zeta just 1%/yr)

So you see the next 'new new' is not straight forward, and thus the Market Cap held in BTC will face a diaspora?

++++++++++++

I will also ask if the Oracle has seen visions of this:

The major coins will be limited to 100 or so holding spots on the main 10 global exchanges.  Behind that will be a field of 400-500 farm league coins.  But all those are coins launched between 2012-2015.

Post 2015 there will still be a new IPO coin of the hour, every hour on the hour.  But the 'asset' trading systems or platform will be used.  The old QT platform will be to 'burdensome'.

In this system will be multi-$Billion MC coins too, and also a coin for your cat, dog, and favorite youtube video ... a coin for everyone and everything.  The market will start to get this idea in 2015, as 'coin burnout' takes hold.

That explains the sudden #3 empire of 'shareX'  ... nxt, pts, cp, maid, sys, xrp make for tight competition field already ... and etherum has yet to flex its muscle ... but these 'shareX' systems are the rising stars ... LTC has crashed but is not forgotten, DRK will be on the rise again some day, and BTC could hit a new high but it will be like smoking crack to get sober ... the inflation problem will haunt any coin gunning for $Big Cap evalues while stuck in long inflationary periods, and captured by a mining monoply.

And I have still not mentioned the 'obvious' choice for security via strong AND distributed network of miners.

But it got mentioned >> http://kolinevans.wordpress.com/2014/08/22/what-would-a-crypto-currency-collapse-look-like/

tldt;  yes buy some Q, but buy more UNO!

Zeta, Doge, and pure stakes will be okay too once a fair market price floor is established. Anything distributed widely and almost completely.  Don't forget on secure network too.  So for zeta and infinitiiii - NO SOUP FOR YOU!
