781  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: November 16, 2023, 08:03:59 PM
I don't have an opinion about the public sale, that's apparently happening with SHFL as well, because i don't have enough data on that, but i feel that's a little iffy, and i don't get why they would need to do this. If they indeed are selling them against crypto.

And it's not like everyone would be dumping at once. These 3 reasons are enough for many people to hodl or even buy more. Especially buyback and burn with fixed supply sounds juicy.
Dumping pressure from airdrop receivers is true and it happens with all projects that distribute airdrops to community. Because airdrop receivers, bounty hunters don't spend any money to invest in the token, they will dump it when they see green candles.

Project teams and market makers after pumping the token will wait a long time for selling pressure from bounty hunters to stop. After hunters dump all tokens they have, a new game will begin.

It is a general game playing from market makers because they are smart enough to not spend money pumping the token while selling pressure from bounty hunters is very big. They will waste money to do it and selling pressure from bounty hunters will affect whales' taking profit price too.
That's relative. Market makers can set the buy walls lower, because pumping the price right after the airdrop would just mean that dumping would just happen with higher price.
And it would eat way more liquidity then to insert the liquid after airdropped tokens have been dumped in a low price to the hand of investors / market makers.

But while there will be always dumping from bounty hunters, so there will be from people buying the token sale, no matter what the project is there will be people who bought just to flip it when it comes to markets. Sometimes in loss.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Thought of Giving Back to the Community? on: November 15, 2023, 11:09:08 PM
Have you ever thought of giving back to the community if you ever had a successful gambling run? One of those punters on X, who usually wins large sums of money from betting, is giving out about 25 laptops to folks who cannot afford them, and he recently paid for someone's cybersecurity online course. Do you think this is something that you can do—give back to the community from your gambling runs?

My networth would have to grow pretty high from here for me to even consider that. Also i am not looking for followers and it seems like these kind of stunts are often done to lure in more followers. They are just done in a smaller scale. Like saying that they give nts to random followers (which they in most cases don't).

I totally understand that, because investing into your followers is an effective way to build following. You don't even need clever content for that.  And bigger the gesture is, more followers they get.

I get why they do it too. Followers bring more money, more power and more attention. But i don't get why people want to follow them just because they are rich. Maybe they that some of that gold will rub on them somehow. It's weird.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's a good app for watching your porfolio? on: November 15, 2023, 05:36:46 PM
Hey guys.

What's a good app for watching your crypto porfolio?

Coins manually entered and not connecting the app with wallets, exchanges etc. (I don't trust it) but nevertheless, being able to watch how much I got, how it changes over time, and whether I have gain or loss, from the initial purchase.

Thanks
I have been using delta.app and it has suited my needs in the past. It can be used for linking wallets, but most of these apps had still issues with that by somehow messing up tx fees and money you used for purchasing or trading the cryptos. But you obviously can just manually set up purchasing price to zero and stuff like that.

But may i suggest taking a look at Notion. You can use that among many things to to track your portfolio real time, by installing notion api connector. It takes some tweaking and learning curve might look overwhelming at the start (if you haven't yet been using it for something else). And of course you can use free notion templates just designed for your investment tracking if it seems difficult.

785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your thoughts about potential newly borned coins during the bear market? on: November 13, 2023, 05:56:33 PM
The topic title already expresses the theme of the post, but I will try to write in detail. Technically, we are in a bull market, though we don't know if it is real or fake. But we noticed a few newly born altcoins during the last bear season that have potential growth. A few altcoins also gained enough popularity from the crypto community. For example, we can say ARB and PEPE. Both coins haven't met with the bull market previously since they were newly minted. What's your thoughts about these types of coins that were borne during the last bear market? I feel these types of coins would give us a good return during a real bull run. Because all of them have never met a bull and are ready to grow. But we have to make sure of its popularity and potential. Those coins are listed on the biggest exchanges; we may consider them to accumulate. Otherwise, it's quite risky to make money.

Let us know if you have a few names for those borne during bear but potential to grow.

For me, it is advisable to invest but not take financial advice.
1. ARB
2. PEPE
At this moment, if i had money it would be these 4

1. ETH
2. SOL
3. DUSK
4. BNB
5. New coins or projects that i don't know about yet.

I would keep some in usdt just because i know the pain of not having any more money to invest a good opportunity appears out of the blue.
I am also dividing it more then just 2 because i am certain at least one of them isn't taking a part in bull market and keeps on growing in usd because eth is growing even more.

I can't agree with ARB and pepe, as i quite like the ARB, i don't see the point with the token (markets probably disagree with me)
And pepe... Well it's a joke got out of hand. Could be valuable but i can't tell my kids that i have blown my retirement money on memecoins.
786  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💰New Bonus System | 💸Get all Bonuses from Rank 1 on: November 13, 2023, 05:43:26 PM

Good to see this so let see if this can catch some interest of people to accumulate BFG.

The effect of these burnings is minimal. It always has an effect on the dividends you receive (they will be a bit higher) for the next couple of days but the monthly burnings are too minimal to have any impact on the BFG price also.
I think Betfuri should burn ten times as many tokens every month in order for the burn to have a positive impact on the price of BFG. Hopefully the casino team will realize this at some point.
I agree that you onlly need math to see that these burnings are nominal gestures without actual value. They are sending a strong signal about commitment but anyone looking closer can see the actual significance.

If they however would burn more, then money for that would need to all come from their own pockets, so i see this as unlikely. It would be an act of charity, and i can't remember them ever doing charity in any form. And considering how much they want to talk with their users in here, i don't think that their userbase, or their token price are their main focus right now.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GovCoins Or Governance Coins - Countries Are Trying To Comeback on: November 13, 2023, 05:32:02 PM
Govcoin isn't anything new like you mentioned, and there's a reason why it isn't hyped. Because it's not anything special or revolutionary. Banks want in on issuing small amounts of their own fiat representation tokens to some crypto network is just testing waters. More like pilot programs and not even comparable to systems that already exist. There will be CBDC at some point, but now it's more like a playground that doesn't stick.

I would love to see that being a huge thing, especially on ETH. But trusting XRP on that in bigger scale doesn't seem likely or realistic scenario.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 13, 2023, 05:17:24 PM
I see a lot of people here talking about gambling responsibly. Yes, that is something very true, but have you ever been a gambling addict?

To be honest in the past I have spent a lot of money gambling. What I mean here is that I spent all my savings on gambling. Maybe the nominal amount is not that big but it makes me feel like a gambling addict. I spent 5 months of my savings on gambling. Currently I am aware and am in the stage of improving my own financial condition. Have you ever felt like a gambling addict? and how much did you lose in gambling?
Gambling addiction is not something to wish for at some point this is because the result is sometimes unbearable and unsatisfying results to some level,  and more also gambling addiction is better avoided and not to be any attempt to ever get addicted because quitting also is almost an impossible thing.

But then also,  we have to check the level of our gambling involvement because that week alone,  I have gambled more than I can afford to lose and it caused me a lot of pain since this week is not my lucky week,  but that can not make me call myself a gambling addicts
As long as you accept it as a real thing that can to happen to you, it's a possible avoid it. Because accepting that as a real thread makes you take serious countermeasures against it.

But most people with addictions deny their addiction and often can't see gambling or anything else affecting to them. Addicts don't often know they are addicts, because it might not be affecting to them as much it's affecting to their closest circle of family/friends. Of course there are cases where everyone else sees something as a problem even if you are handling it, but if you know that you have trouble keeping it in check, i am advising making strict rules for yourself and following them. Because bending the rules slightly leads to no rules what so ever. As lying to oneself is easier that anything else.

Buying tokens using the profit on an open market is equivalent to profit sharing since the price will pump due to the buy pressure cause by the buy back. This is much better than Staking that use the reserve token to reward holders while the circulating supply is flooded in the market due to the rewards.
Oh, right, then it was basically semantics, as i thought you were talking about diving dividends to pseudonymous token holders, which is against securities laws in most countries that have laws in the first place.
Buying the token back from the market and burning it is a clever way to get around that, as it doesn't promise income vi dividends or price growth, even though with right tokenomics can definitely do that.

Probably you didn’t know how utility token works. Security Token is the one that being target by regulators and not utility token. As long as they didn’t sell tokens to US token and other country that has strict law then they don’t have any problem to regulators. Don’t assume US SEC covers world wide. I assume you are referring to US SEC since they are the only one that is too strict to token sale. Cheesy
I am aware how utility tokens work, but it's a common mistake of thinking that any token sale outside US would fly. SEC is just most famous organization that's overseeing securities in US and investment opportunities that companies outside US are offering to US citizens. Other regions have their own versions of securities regulation oversight, and it's not just a wild west in everywhere else, in fact regulations can be tighter.

I am pretty positive that their team has legal section that is giving them solid advices on this, and they know their stuff, but i've been seen token sales going south so many times before, that it makes me skeptical.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategies on: November 13, 2023, 04:34:08 PM
Well, it's nice to know i am not totally heading on wrong direction with my strategy. There are several suggestions that i live by like not losing more then i could afford. I just thought that there might be clever ways to use

Like "handicap", "set" and "total" markets etc.. Because it''s hard to me to grasp how can i utilize those efficiently.

I've been recently trying live betting, with a strategy of betting for winners after a quick evaluation of how is the game going, and how much of it is left to play. I am accepting even smallest multipliers like 1.05+ if i am quite certain i would win. I've done many of them for few days now and so far i've been happy for my system, and i already have 3x my initial starting bet.
It will only encourage you to use huge amount of money and a loss after several won matches will still be a loss. I just want to let you know to be very careful. This has been my strategy and it is not as good as it seems.
I thought it might not be, even though it's currently working for me. Eventually i will lose.

But i can't help wonder if i am making some noob errors that come back to bite me later. As i know that there are no 100% safe winning, i think i will start losing at some point, and with small multipilers, all it takes is few losses to get back to where i started from. I am quite noob at this so i am probably doing every newbie mistake.
If you do not gamble often, you will likely win more. But in-play like this can be addicting
This i didn't quite understand. Do you mean that if i play often, i will take unnecessary risks? As i know that i am not supposed to reach and try to risk more just because i want to gamble more.

Which sport are you trying to bet on?
I've done the same from soccer to tennis. It works for a time betting the crowd's fave even that 1.05 you are saying. It is a tiresome approach and it only takes a few losses to take those winnings away and you are back to square one. If you are like this then probably you are not watching the games as well.

And then once again reminded about the thing they are saying only bet on the sports you are passionate about. Take that advice, minimize your bet, and watch the game. You'll realize when you enjoy the game, it doesn't matter whether you lose. You enjoyed.
I gamble on everything i know basic rules about, like how log each round, set or game takes? How much points there are even possible to make and in what time. And in overall how fast can games change and for what reason. But i do lack some basic knowledge about some sports. Like cricket for example. And i am not touching that until i read the rule book no matter what the odds are. Odds to me are pointless unless i know how i am risking my money. Just like i am not gambling with all the betting types that i don't know anything about.

One utility of Shuffle token is profit sharing from the casino through distribution to token holders. The team also announced that the token will be listed on exchange which means they need money for liquidity pool to absorb airdrop tokens that will potentially sell or to have a trading volume.

It’s understandable if they do a public sale to cover for liquidity since they will share their profit to token holders. I believe the airdrop is part of rewarding loyal customers.
Either you misunderstood or i am missing some key information here. To my knowledge they aren't distributing any profits for tokens holders, but they are using profits to buy those tokens from the market and burn. Which is actually way better and way more legal method.

And yeah, i do get the liquidity pool part. I just don't agree that raising money that way would be a good idea. Token sales clash with regulators all the time, because they are often marketed illegally.

Just two questions here:
1. Dis the family of this young man went too extreme in trying to help stop their brother from gambling addiction or not?

2. Assuming you are this young man and you had to run to a distant location to carry out your gambling as you are allowed to gambling within your neighborhood and luckily you won huge sum of million dollars. Would you share that money with your loved ones who were barring you from gambling or you will just stay off from them and live new found wealthy live alone?

Share your thoughts!
I am not sure where in the world this happened but it certainly wouldn't fly in here. Those gambling places would basically be holding an illegal register, even if the register contains one person.
Not even bars can have pictures of banned people, they will just have to remember them. Also it's far from effective, and might have worked 100 years ago when regulations were looser and moer people used to know each other in the same village or city.

Like you said, all you need to do is change the scenery and play in somewhere else. Or just play online. If the person wasn't grounded and offline, there's only so many ways to restrict them. Better way would be convincing them not to gamble, and find them something else to do. Something else to fill their time with.

So i wanted to ask from experienced gamblers here, who make live bets; how do you choose your bets and what kind of bets are you preferring (other then betting for winners).

Also are there some good tips on how to make most of from those? Because to someone less informed like myself, most of the other kind of bets seem like shots in the dark. I am assuming that there are more profitable strategies. Like what kind of other bets are worth looking into?
794  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Raising children in this current society on: November 12, 2023, 10:11:03 AM
How the society is now one has to be extremely careful with the way we bring up our children and then no body can raise our children better not even their teachers who spend most time with them
In this jet age they ( children) learn very fast from as early as zero years..
Parents needs to be alert with the activities of their children until they get to adulthood
But in all prayer is the strongest weapon
It's about educating yourself on raising children, and not being a main character of your life anymore. You sometimes need to put your life on hold as it was and focus on what's important.
When you get your first child, your priorities and some of your values will shift. You should put more focus on practicality and psychological well being rather than delegating your work to some spirit, or what ever you believe in.

You can pray if you want or not to pray if it suits you, but that doesn't really affect the outcome, especially if you are trusting solely in praying. It might relax you as a form of meditation, but don't count that as a parenting. You need to do parenting yourself and not trust invisible dad from the sky to watch your kids. There's an actual physical parents that child needs to be present and noticing them in order for them to grow up as emphatic, and balanced, good human beings.

-cut-
The next thing to do is to change your signature on any current BCs of your children. Change it so that the 'non-assumpsit' words are added to it. This may be difficult in some States, but it can be done.
-cut-
You don't need to worry about that. BD-level of crazy is whole another scale and government will take custody of those children in no-time.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use bitcoin when gambling? on: November 12, 2023, 12:09:58 AM
What ever is cheapest and fastest to move. I rather not gamble with stablecoins as i just need more crypto. And when crypto is moving up i feel like i am losing if i am not making more then the altcoin gains against usdt.

I might use usdt if prices are moving down i can send it via fast L2 like arbitrum, polygon or bsc. But i rather not because that doesn't really differ in anyway from playing in normie fiat money casinos. And i feel we lose something important ideologically, if we move away from real cryptos to stablecoins and fiat money.
796  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: November 11, 2023, 11:10:39 PM
Well, I am not very sure, but I think I saw a countdown to the halving somewhere in binance and from the information there, the halving is expected on April and not may as you said or suggested.

Anyways, aside this one, I think alot of altcoins projects are also waiting on the side as well, for the halving and possible bull run to commence so they can start or begin some actions that will capture the attention of investors, this possibly the reason why almost everything pumps during a bull run, because it's hard to know or differenciate a coin or token with good utility and one without any utility but driven by pure speculation.

And this is also why I would always say that the bull run is the worst time to buy or invest in any project, wise investors do their research now and invest in good coins or tokens, when bull run comes, they sell while others are buying, many people end up with sh*t load of altcoins bought during bull run, and most times end up selling it at a loss after the bull run is over, or possibly hodl it to death.

So for me, would have been best they distribute their token now, so they know their price base.
Just my opinion though.
Then again, in the bullrun, people who get the airdrop wouldn't have been invested per se, but there would be definitely people investing. Meaning, like you said, they would be most likely buying overpriced tokens. And i myself wouldn't mind as they would be buying from us.

I don't have an opinion about the public sale, that's apparently happening with SHFL as well, because i don't have enough data on that, but i feel that's a little iffy, and i don't get why they would need to do this. If they indeed are selling them against crypto.

797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 11, 2023, 04:32:12 PM
Do owners of betting companies place bet on their own platform or is there a policy specific policy that restricts them from betting. Do you think that there would be conflict of interest or that it will be unethical if owners bet on their own platforms. These are the questions that I am seeking an answer to.
I am not sure what the conflict of interest would be. It's not like they can affect the outcome of the match. Maybe with large enough bets they could affect to multipliers, but that would be affecting against them. But if there would be a way it would be unethical or conflict of interest, that i don't see, it would be against regulations and these casinos are constantly audited, so it really wouldn't make sense.

And when you take a look how much money they are making i a year, then you quickly notice that making even insane large bets (that would instantly be flagged by auditors) wouldn't even affect the income in any meaningful way. So i am guessing they don't need to gamble.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: November 11, 2023, 04:21:22 PM
While gambling some people gamble with small amounts which is not very important for them, but for those who are new to gambling and not able to control themselves or play with something reasonable amount.
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.
I am certain that there's a group of people that this could help with small amount of money, but i don't think it's the majority of people. In worst case scenario it will have an opposite effect.
When we are talking about enough money, we can't grasp the value just by looking at it. And then there's the fact that you would probably feel like you had more money when you constantly saw it as a cash form. Psychologically it would just make you probably value it less, as that would be constantly in your sights.

799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT and virtual real state project the biggest scam in past 3 years? on: November 11, 2023, 12:40:35 AM
NFT tokens and Crypto based real estate project the biggest scam to take place in last 3 years and I have listed the reason why I have come to this conclusion:

What's the use of NFT token in real life? for example altcoins have something to help with in real life and for example XRP has payment system, ETH has smart contracts which enables DApps but what is NFT it's just a digital representation and people wouldn't have invested into it, had it not been endorsed by celebrities and the Hype created. This would be a possible money laundering technique as we have seen some big shots had already bought literally a digital painting which is nothing more than a graphical illusion for millions of dollars which has zero use it's neither a product nor a technology or services.

What concerns me the most is the fact that people are fooled so easily to believe on everything they end up investing in these NFT projects and real estate projects just to life in the virtual world but in real world these has no uses.

If you feel my statements are incorrect then please share your response with a justification.
Nfts have already been used for representing liquidity pools in uniswap. You are talking about that tech linked to some images. They can be linked to anything. Also, i am quite concerned that people are using same arguments about nfts as nocoiners are using about countless tokens and cryptos. That they are a scam and have no real value, except when people decide to give them value. Just like with most cryptos out there. Only difference being that they represent unique assets and are illiquid. But most cryptos out there are illiquid and dead.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex was hacked (Security Breach Discussion) on: November 10, 2023, 05:50:37 PM
It happens rarely and if people who hack money has good intentions then they will not really target a private so I don't think the user who hacked money will be tempted by offer but the exchange can be more generous and offer a work contract too so that they can convince the users that they assept their security flaw and willing to rectify it no matter what.
I don't know, money from huge heists is hard to launder, and $3M risk free money must sound appealing. But i don't understand why anyone would believe it's not a trap.
That contract wouldn't be binded by law, and paper contract like that would be laughed out from any court if the criminal decides to take it.

Why would they give hacker anything after that? They would take the money and try to hand the hacker to police.
