Shorting monero == financial desaster? Well if you remember correct I shorted XMR after AlphaBay's implementation and the following hype. The Bitcoins I made with that are nowadays worth more than 9 Million dollars. Shorting is good it brings liquidity and attention to a market.
Didn't TheKoziTwo pay you to leave and never return? No he paid for one year only. You want to prolong it ? Ignore button is cheaper.

It's funny to see that people started talking about IOTA only after it had grown in price very much. The psychology of people directly from the book
You seem surprised by that. Have you met people? Any religion or politics or investment is usually spread by people buying-in and then trying to get others to buy-in. The whole concept of memes (not the picture + a funny saying, but the original concept that got forked by pop culture ) was built upon this observation of how ideas successfully spread. This is one of the reasons that google trends and price mirror each other--people are looking for information to validate or invalidate the meme, but in so doing spread it.

Is it still worth a buy right now? Since the price has risen quite rapidly, I am hoping there is a correction soon so that I can buy some cheap coins.. I was hoping for a drop to the 2$ range, but it got caught in a channel 3-4$. Will be interesting to see if there is a violent breakout like before. Right now it seems everyone is happy to cash-in and out at the current price.

All of them are safe to use. I love Dash community and also i love Monero. These are the best coins which focus on privacy. Also zcash is good but for price valotility dash-monero are good options for me.
Dash is a joke as far as privacy is concerned--you are hoping that neither the node operator or the hosting company isn't passing on the information to another entity, not to mention that hardly anyone uses their private send, so a timing attack becomes all the easier. Zcash at least attempts to do privacy well, but with opt in privacy, any coin is going to have weaknesses and unnecessarily limit their anonymity set.

Can anyone link to some measured and informed articles written about IOTA? It seems it's worth researching because it could be the next Ethereum, worth investing a lot in, or could just fizzle out in a while. The total supply is in the billions and $4 would really be the top if there isn't serious potential. I have heard some bad things about how they handled mistakes in their code, parts of the network is centralized but that is only at the beginning to keep it secure. The microsoft deal was spread as a partnership but may just be that microsoft is going to have a meeting with the iota developers. Is there any certainty they will develop smart contracts on the iota chain. If so it could actually contend with Ethereum.
I suggest you do your own research. If you are expecting cryptocurrency forums to get their information correct and without bias, you really need to overhaul your perceptions. Most of what you wrote is debatable or just plain wrong, but you shouldn't take my word for it. You should google the information and look for trusted sources or factual data, even then you should by a bit skeptical and use your own judgement. As far as Microsoft goes, you could literally go to Chicago and ask them yourself: https://www.meetup.com/nl-NL/Chicago-IOTA-Meetup/events/244986575/

I think everyone with at least half a brain knows we are in a bubble. What's the reason of latest Bitcoin increase? 100s of thousands unconfirmed transactions? How about all these crowdsales and ICOs based on Ethereum? All these "exciting" projects? Why DGB is close to 900 satoshi? DOGE? My personal opinion is that the price of a coin (or whatever) should be justified with usage and I don't think that usage of digital currencies has increased THIS much. Don't get me wrong - I'm also excited with the latest BTC increase and everything, but I'm always thinking about the future and now I think it looks scary...
Sooner or later this will be true, you just missed it by a longshot.

Only one of those doesn't have a richlist, makes privacy the default setting and has over 100k private tx a month.

Ups, what's happening to IOTA? You will soon understand that when a coin does a P and later comes a big D...no community support, no party Quoting for posterity--don't want you deleting this comment. Price was 3.40/.00024 when you said it.

Meh. Besides of being NOT a blockchain, we have things like this: Enjoy ur 10x gains, I don't fucking care FUD from r/btc is pretty underwhelming. They must be getting antsy now that their shitfork is close to being dropped a peg. But maybe Bitcoin Judas and the Satoshi-poser can keep it afloat for another week.

The level of sheep mentality in the space surprise me, what do you expect after the listing, the price crash, buy the rumour sell the news. I like this project but will only buy at good value, I don't the current price reflect the true value of the project, I might be wrong here What is the true value? IOT is forecasted as 10-35 trillion dollars, so iota only needs to capture a small percentage of this market to be bigger than the entire current cryptocurrency market. You're talking about >50x increase from its current price, so how does that gamble seem overpriced to you? I'm generally curious how people evaluate risk/reward, because it usually seems off-base from any logic you would see on wallstreet, or even professional gamblers, as the valuations are generally hinged on how hard it can pump for a quick buck rather than the long term prospects based on the market and position within the market.

Seems legit pump, the fundamentals are good technical analysis charts (daily) indicates it is in the bullish momentum i bought mine a long time ago at $.2 i bought $5k each so now i am good at my profits.
Tell me more about good fundamentals please. You can start with explaining how an untested cryptographic hash function is going to be groundbreaking tech. I wish you guys would get new fud--that one was already rejected by the iota developers. https://blog.iota.org/curl-disclosure-beyond-the-headline-1814048d08efThey also hired an outside team to examine and prove otherwise to those who think the guy invented POS doesn't know what he's talking about.

IOTA is on Binance already and already at number 4 spot in market cap. Very impressive rise that needs a correction soon before going up further.
Do you think it's safe to jump in now? No, it's to late to join the party now. Never buy in a pump, a correction is coming soon and if you enter now you might end up with a big loss if you can't get out in time. People have been saying this since 1$, so when is this correction? How big will the dip be? I want numbers.

iota is number 5 coin now, it doesn't matter if bittrex list it or not, they made the move. we are too late to buy this coin. we missed the train, let's check out other trains in the station. iota is long gone.
Price was ~2.80 when you said this. Let's check back in a few weeks and see how this holds up. So after a day, this logic has proved a bust. The IOT is projected to be a 10-35 trillion dollar market, so no surprises here--good luck applying your shitcoin logic elsewhere.
