781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on Gambling Business on: August 28, 2022, 03:52:17 PM
I think there's many casinos or reviews sites talking about KYC free casino, you can search on google. The thing is all of them are fake KYC free casino, they're not asking the KYC at the beginning, but when you search on their TOS you will see KYC is mandatory for them. Not only on casino reviews, few casinos in this forum also promote fake KYC free casino too lol. I think such casinos should be avoided since they're not really honest with the gamblers.
To be perfectly fair from these gambling crypto casino out there, most of them really do offer KYC-free on their platform however not having to do KYC has limits on your account such as the amount you can gamble and withdrawal. It also vary depending on these casino since you can sign up on their platform without doing KYC however if you have reached certain limit, you'll be subjected to a mandatory KYC process. Also, It is important to know the TOS of these casinos to avoid violating it and be subjected for KYC.
782  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Meron bang local owned crypto casino? on: August 28, 2022, 03:25:13 PM

783  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: August 28, 2022, 02:36:46 PM
1. The Founder Of FedEx Saved The Company By Gambling In Vegas.
I remember reading this on one of the threads posted here in the forum, not sure what thread it was though. I have to say what he did was extremely reckless but luckily luck was on his side that day.
Yup, there was a thread that has been posted on the gambling section about this story. Here it is, the Casino can play a role in changing fortune? whereas he luckily won on his gambling activity and used it to invest on his company, FedEx.

Anyways, I have either read or watch something about number 4 which is about "Some Gambling Addicts Pee All Over the Gaming Floor" somewhere and it is kinda reasonable especially there are some casinos that are hard to get a sit on a table. They do this to avoid getting out of their place as it is hard to get back in. Some of them used water bottles to pee however some don't which resulted them peeing all over the place. About number 5 which is about "You Can Voluntarily Ban Yourself from a Casino", I kinda knew about this based from the movies I've watched but luckily I haven't been able to try it and even consider it.

11. The Numbers on a Roulette Wheel Add Up to 666. Illuminati and devil is related with gambling. Confirmed
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus Banks on: August 28, 2022, 01:53:15 PM
One of the great way on illustrating how decentralization and centralisation differ from one another which is also why most banks are against cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin.

On the illustration you've shown is just an example for 9 users, imagine if it were to be the amount of the population of bank users and crypto users.
785  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Unang Banko sa Pilipinas na nag-ooffer ng Mobile Cryptocurrency Trading on: August 28, 2022, 01:22:51 PM
Every time nakakita ako ng ganitong news, naiisip ko na one step closer tayo towards full implementation and integration of cryptocurrencies sa bansa. Since mismo si BSP na nagpapakita ang kanilang leniency dito, mas may hope ako na maiintegrate ito sa ating financial system and methods sa bansa.

It is definitely nice to see Union Bank utilizing this feature sa kanilang users. It makes it very convenient para makabili and transact ng BTC. Though feeling ko ang kalaban dito is documents and limitations, pero for that price to pay, willing ka talagang ipakita lahat para magamit ito.
Tama ka dyan kabayan, sobrang good news nito lalo na't in compliance sya with BSP.

786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who Would You Likely Sign Up Under In Casinos on: August 28, 2022, 12:01:20 PM
I've personally only ever signed up for casinos/bookies:

a. because I want to, found them interesting and have heard good things.
b. because someone I trust and know well who gambles there prompted me to. This is when I sign up under them.

Sometimes, (a) leads me to look for (b) and to sign up under someone who already has an account there. Just makes sense someone I know should benefit.

Been pretty lucky, guys above me tend to give me back some of the earnings, otherwise I don't expect to get anything back from losing at a casino/bookie.
It's a great way to ensure that the gambling platform or casino you're going to play and bet on has a credible reputation and having someone that you know from that sites help especially that they provide you first hand experience on the platform.

Anyways, Isn't (a) just the same as review from other people but not on review sites?
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who Would You Likely Sign Up Under In Casinos on: August 27, 2022, 09:34:33 PM
I've voted for signature campaign on this one however it varies depending on the status of the campaign. What I've meant on the status are its campaign participants, how it is managed, who's managing it, how the payment is made, etc,. Here at the forum, one way of advertising your platform is through signature campaign and having a trustworthy campaign managers and participant will surely boost your platform reputation throughout the forum.

Other than signature campaign, I guess review sites would also be a great basis as you will likely be able to check honest reviews from various individuals and users and also you will be able to see a quick overview of their platform and it's games and promotions.

If I may to add as well on the list, I guess it is also worth to mention the banner that is being rented out on the forum as those also gets my attention since they are being reviewed by forum management or theymos.
788  Economy / Economics / Re: Thought: how far can you go in a career without going against your principles on: August 27, 2022, 03:09:22 PM
The simple way to workout on this is: Be yourself and let others follow you! There is no harm in following your own principles and you can go beyond the skies with yourselves. Never believe in movies, sometimes they are the one whose rooting bad ideas on our minds and we start to relate that in real world due to unconscious thoughts and surroundings.

Your principles, if you have set them properly then write this down other peeps will follow you and try to mimic the success in their lives. Never forget how big personalities formed around us, they were enthusiastic about their work, shown at most dedications and went against the world.
Movies and TV shows creates illusion to people that what they are showing is real and relatable on real life which in fact is the opposite. You should never illustrate real life situation to TV shows and movies. Being yourself and still be able yo prove yourself and boost your economical factor relatively is quite a feat however sometimes that is not always the case. There are situations where being yourself could provide conflict to what you do and the aspect of your success.

Anyways, Yes, there are instances where bending your principles could boost your situation but it doesn't mean that it should stay that way in the long run. You can try to bend your principles and bend it back afterwards to avoid changing oneself.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on Gambling Business on: August 27, 2022, 02:28:09 PM
I don't see the big deal of kyc? You trying to avoid taxes? Underage? Gambling for an illegal jurisdiction? IMO those are the users who would likely have an issue performing kyc for a casino.

Man, you're a little wrong here (imo). Personally I don't want to do KYC for some offshore-registered services (90 % of casinos and book). And the reason is that such services has liability around zero , so if they get "hacked" or just sell their database to the third party, it will be near impossible to sue them.

I have no problem to do KYC with some services registered in trustworthy countries, like Bitstamp or bet365. But again, no KYC for offshore cunning rats!
I couldn't agree more with your opinion on this one. Some gambles may have an issue why don't want to do KYC such as what yahoo said however that is not always the case. Most of us here doesn't really care if they do KYC as long as there would be someone liable in case something happens. Leakage of personal data is a thing and it is serious whereas it could cause safety issue to someone if it falls to the wrong hands. Selling of databases or even the platform itself is quite common on the gambling industry especially those who does not perform well. Liabilities and security is something that we want to assure in case KYC will be required.
790  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph suspended my account without valid reason on: August 27, 2022, 01:15:01 PM

From the words of coins.ph themselves, ito sabi nila:

Quote
Again, we do understand your situation regarding your violation. We understand that you are not explicitly gambling or doing any form of it. However, we would like to emphasize that your violation is directed toward your involvement/affiliation with gambling entities. This means that part of your violation includes transacting with them even though you do not really engage in gambling.

We completely understand how you feel about this and I have discussed this with our Review Team, sadly, their decision is final. No worries though as this decision is only temporary. Your limits may still be restored once another review is conducted and we have found out that your account activities are now in line with our platform's terms of service.

We, however, would not be able to disclose how often this periodic review occurs as it is done by the team on a case-to-case basis. We hope this clarifies your concern.

Unfortunately, I do not think kung may iba pa bang way para ma-bypass yung issue na to. Dito sa current campaign natin, I changed yung BTC address ko to my BitPay wallet instead. Tapos from time-to-time, sinesend ko yung proceeds from my BitPay to coins.ph account pero I do not think gagana ito once nag periodic check ulit sila. If worse comes to worst, they might completely lock my account kaya habang maaga pa lang talaga, nag hahanap na ako ng alternative.
Thank you for disclosing yung message from coins.ph. Medjo naguluhan lang ako sa sinabi nila na "Sadly, their decision is final. No worries though as this decision is only temporary.

Anyways, buti na lang hindi account closure yung nangyari sayo at na-limit lang yung account mo unlike kay jamyr na account closure which is medjo bothering.

By the way, yung sa nangyaring enhance verification nila sakin, hangang level 2 na lang yung account ko since dinecline nila yung id verification ko for level 3. Also, wala rin silang sinend na any email notifying na may nagawa ako against sa TOS nila. If ever man na may mangyari sa account, mag lean on na lang ako sa binance p2p or yung ibang alternatives.
791  Economy / Gambling / Re: PF.Guru - The Best Provable Fair Crypto Casinos on: August 27, 2022, 12:38:57 PM
I second that the design is decent and looking good for my eyes. It's not too bright and not too boring. We're starting to have these types of websites for referrals but you guys are making it fine and cool.

When are you going to add that martingale calculator? It isn't working as of now, I just want to look at how it works.
Couldn't agree more, the website has great potential and I can see myself using this as most of the gambling platform I've been playing on are listed here. Design is simple yet enough for it's function and it is also mobile friendly.

However, I guess this is still a work in progress as there are some function that is still not yet available such as Martingale Calculator and Probably Fair. Looking forward for more update on this platform
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this the Extreme of Gambling Addiction? on: August 27, 2022, 12:14:07 PM
Since they target to steal gambling equipment and gambling machines, we are assuming that it is a part of gambling addiction, which is actually not the case.

People who are gambling addicts damage themselves by playing excessive gambling and losing money. However here we are actually talking about the thieves and gamblers are not thieves.  Cool
Please not relate both of them together.
What they have done are theft or burglary which is a criminal activity and not gambling activity. Both are different on each of their aspects and gambling addiction does not correlate with this incident.
Gambling addiction is caused by uncontrollable gambling activities whereas the gambler has lose control on his gambling games and bets which could end up getting broke etc. However, on this incident, it leans more on thievery as these people stolen someone else property and have targeted gambling machines.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling sites don't offer betting on bitcoin price ? on: August 27, 2022, 10:50:24 AM
Actually there are some betting gambling sites that offer this kind of gambling.

Have you checked out Freebitco.in? You can bet there on how much do you think the price of bitcoin will be at the end of the month.

Also, isn't this just the same on other trading platform where you bet on long or short?

Unionbank leads the local bank to adopt cryptocurrency, they are ahead and I believe alam talaga nila ang ginagawa nila and that’s good for everybody.
Wala naman nareceive at narinig na issue when it comes sa KYC nila. Hindi rin ako kakabahan about my identification since kilala silang financial institution sa bansa natin. Also, kung magkaproblema man, marami tayong mapupuntahan na branches para gawin yung KYC or magtanong at magpatulong sa problema. Anyways, May I know kung ano yung issue na nareceive mo about KYC?

Kung sakaling buy and sell lang yung function nung trading nila, siguro hindi ko muna siya gagamitin at maghihintay ng additional features like transfer to different address at iba pa.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Employers Screen Applicants for Problem Gambling Before Employment? on: August 26, 2022, 07:21:14 PM
If their products is related with something useful or which can be called as collectors item then maybe its good to include the gambling addiction screen so that they can make sure that their employees is in good state of mind. Because sometimes having this issues is really a huge problem not only with the company but also with their fellow employee since those guys can disturb the harmonious workplace on the company.
Nope, I kinda disagree with your opinion on this one. Other than if gambling would be a conflict of interest on the company, I see no other reason why a company would do a gambling screening to their employees and applicants.

There's already a background check being done for applicants and I think that would be enough as a screening for them. Also, not only gambling addiction could cause such an employee do such a thing against the company.
This came from my facebook crypto friends and 3-4 people na ata yung kilala ko na same case sila kaya medyo nag iingat ako gumamit ng Unionbank ngayon for the reason na ma close ang account ko due to my crypto transactions. This is why I doubt Unionbank sa kung ano magiging take nila sa crypto especially ngayon na about sa post na mag ooffer ng crypto trading ang Unionbank. Sila ang pinaka una na crypto friendly bank sa bansa natin and nag iba yung tingin ko sakanila due to closure of account of my crypto friends. Sana maging open padin sila sa crypto in the future.

797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on Gambling Business on: August 26, 2022, 04:18:58 PM
Unfortunately, as much as we don't like providing our identification on any gambling platform or any website at all. We must also think that the gambling platform we are playing on is a business which has to follow certain regulatory rules and laws from the country it is based from.

This situation could be unavoidable depending on the platform and how you interact with these platforms especially those who are using VPN and are living on a country that crypto and online gambling is banned. Some gambling platforms are not very strict in regards with KYC as long as they don't detect any unusual activity on your account whether it is VPN issue, Fraud issue, or even a possible log-in attempt on the account. However, there are some gambling platforms who are strict with KYC and some of them require KYC for withdrawal or any huge bet activity on the account.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Types of Bonuses Offered by Online Casinos on: August 26, 2022, 03:50:43 PM
Apart from these kind of spin bonus some casinos offers (or offered) daily, weekly lucky spins which can bring a decent amount of money for certain number of people for every daily or weekly respectively which is quite good because casinos even offered the bonus when the players are not regularly betting there so anyone who wants to try their luck can get the benefit which is somewhat loss for the casino in my opinion but they respect every kind of gambler in their platform so offering a chance to win for anybody equally.

I am yet to discover a casino that somewhat reserves the bonus spins for their peers, and IMO that is actually a great idea but would probably be taken advantage of one way or another. Also, it might help the player to get a fee of the game again before getting their deposit, so that's a win-win situation for both gamblers and the platform since the gambler can play without any strings attached, and the casino can expect that the gambler will be enticed to play more once the bonus is out.
Actually, there are casinos out there that offers free spins bonuses whether it's daily, weekly or whatever it is and they are reserved for users who have accumulated certain amount of bitcoin or other crypto or probably for high rank or level gamblers on their platforms. So even though they are not betting or playing anymore, they'll be able to use these free spins and this is one way for the platform to encourage these users to gamble once again on their platform however these usually are available on a limited time or date if the user will not be playing anymore.
Wala rin ako masyadong narereceive na issue kapag nagcashout ako through UB from crypto.

Quote
Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) is poised to become the first universal bank in the country to offer virtual asset exchange services through its mobile banking application.

This marks another major milestone in the bank’s efforts towards future-proofing while creating customer-centric solutions powered by technology and innovation.

The recently unveiled feature is part of UnionBank’s “Tech-Up Pilipinas” advocacy, which aims to promote digital literacy among Filipinos, in line with its goal of enabling inclusive prosperity in the country.

Quote
The Bank is hoping to launch the country’s first-ever Metaverse Center of Excellence sometime in the next few months.

“By launching this new feature, we are hitting two birds with one stone —future-proofing the Bank and satisfying the needs of customers who use cryptocurrencies,” Henry Aguda, Senior Executive Vice President Chief Technology and Operations Officer and Chief Transformation Officer said. “This is one of the things we are working on as we clear our path towards the metaverse.”
