781  Other / Meta / Re: [BCT FACT] Bitcointalk was originally on Bitcoin.org but ... drama on: October 17, 2021, 07:05:21 PM
Found this thread from another one but I think it's a good place to ask this question.
There were times when different "Satoshi Nakamoto" claimers were investigated and arrested, one happened in Germany, another one in Australia and the story goes on. Since it's obvious that satoshi created the forum, was posting here, gave access on forum to other members, etc, because of these reasons, was there ever an attempt of investigation on Theymos, Cyrus and other old and famous bitcointalk members?
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 16, 2021, 11:36:00 PM
I fell in love with poker when the whole Texas Hold'em craze started around 2003-4ish range.  I was in college at the time and man we played every single night for months on end.  Bought a chip set as well which I still have.  Unfortunately I haven't been playing as much as I'd like to lately, but plan to start getting in to playing more soon.  I'm just curious what kind of strategies you guys employ when playing?  I know there aren't a ton of tricks one can use, but there are some out there.  I guess there's also a big difference when you're playing in person ( bluffing strategies ) vs playing online.  I'd like to hear tips/tricks/strategies for both!
Online, most likely you are purely depend on luck when you play on fast tables, on tables where you aren't paused for a second and table is immediately filled or you are put somewhere else.
Personally I try to establish myself on certain table. I play a lot at first, most likely my movements are out of logic (Sometimes) and I just try to keep the first bankroll as max as I can. Then, during these time, players come and go, some of them will stay here on long term. I try to make myself appear unpredictable and learn my opponents at the same time. Sometimes, I even fall when I have 90% chance of win and show my cards to the players who just won over me via bluff. Sometimes, I bluff and follow with the cards that would 100% lose me. Then players are lost in vein and sometimes its a gamble for them to follow me or not.
783  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where to report gambling fraud? on: October 16, 2021, 10:24:01 PM
There was a time when we had the user - game-protect who was doing all the job for fighting scam casinos, gambling fraud and was helping users to claim back the money that casino had owned to them. Sadly, this user died in that fight.

Haha, okay, just a joke.

Gambling frauds are reported in Scam Accusation section that is a sub board (along with Reputation) of Trading Discussion section. But scam accusation thread has its format that you have to follow.
Here is the format - Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly)
784  Economy / Economics / Re: Steam bans blockchain games on: October 16, 2021, 09:37:57 PM
And I can't agree that blockchain is the future for gaming, I'm a gamer myself and I never thought "Oh how I fish this game was running on blockchain". I never had any problems with centralized game servers, so why fix what is not broken?
The word "Blockchain" is used like a lure. Everyone has heard that blockchain technologies are innovative technologies and the future belongs to Blockchain. The problem that arises here is that average Joe doesn't check the statements and facts and when he kinds this kind of projects with the word Blockchain, he is happy and thinks that luckily he discovered something great. Along with the story of bitcoin, these people also think that someone at past believed in bitcoin and it bring enormous profit, let's risk and believe, put money in this project too and the story goes on...

I can't understand what will Blockchain technologies do in games like Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, FIFA, etc. How can this technology make gaming better?
785  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do exchanges steal your coins when locked out? on: October 16, 2021, 08:21:39 PM
How legal are the laws of different exchanges that were stated? I think it looks like they can write whatever they want, why the governments let them to do that? Some of their laws look like even if they state: You'll become our slave forever if you violate one of our law. <-- will be stated without a problem and none government will ask them for changes.
Did I violate laws? Then Binance will freeze my account and leave funds for them. Isn't this robbing? These coins should be burnt!
Did Binance violate any of their law? No problem because they won't punish themselves. Have you seen any business punishing themselves? No!

So, customers are always suffered and it's somehow logical and acceptable in our society and for the governments. Why, just why? Seems this world will never be what I have expected  Cry

788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you see how Safepal is rising? on: October 14, 2021, 12:28:18 AM
Safepal that is considered like a shitcoin has an enormous rise in price today. It just doesn't stop, rises and rises.
As it seems, the reason behind these rise is in touch with China and Binance. A lot of chinese were worried that they wouldn't be able to use Binance but thanks to Safepal, they found a loophole and are now able to trade just like normal.
Even at the moment of writing, it's price in unstoppable. I guess the loophole will be fixed soon and they (chinese) won't be able to trade, so, why do they still buy this coin? Why is it still rising? What will happen next?
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputable dice sites with instant/flash bets on: October 11, 2021, 11:22:29 PM
Hello, i am looking for some reputable dice gambling websites with flash/instant bets like wolf.bet has
Its a feature where you setup your strategy like on normal auto mode and then select how many bets you wanna run it for, for example 10k and then it runs it for a few seconds and its done.
any suggeations are welcome, or if you have a reason why you dont recommend this mode of play your opinion is welcomed too
Thank you
You can control autobet speed on many casinos but I have never seen multiple bets done in a second. I remember MyDiceBot had that kind of feature but idk if that was available for demo strategy testing or you were able to perform that on supported casinos, check if you wish, it's really nice bot (of course if you don't want to play directly on website).

Btw the reason to not play in that mode is that you won't get pleasure/excitement from gambling, it looks like your only concern is profit there and profit by gambling is impossible cause mathematically when the game has house edge higher than zero, it means that the casino will profit on long-term.

As I recall in 2020 there has been a vote on the top and best dice sites in the forums and it ended recently 2021.

Result:

Topic: Top Dice Casinos

Or here: Topic: List of Bitcoin Dice Sites
That poll is just meaningless, it's pretty clear that most likely the signature campaign participants voted for the casinos they were representing at that moment.
DuckDice - 0 Vote
Bitsler - 0 Vote
Cmon... It's sad but these kind of polls can't give us any reliable answer while the signature campaigns are active.
790  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Advanced Dice Game 🎲 Sportsbook 🏟️ Slots 🎰 on: October 11, 2021, 11:04:14 PM
My questions are:
  • Why there are controversial answers provided by different support agents?
  • Why do you send the transaction with a 30 times higher bitcoin network fee than actually needed?
  • You have spent only half of the deducted amount to sent the withdrawal. How did you spend another part of the deducted amount?
First of all, just want to mention that you are the guy who does the most amazing and full, detailed and very structural reviews of crypto casinos!

According to bitcoinfees.earn.com the fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 102 satoshis/byte, in your case that would result in the deducted amount of fee, i.e. 0.0002 BTC.
I usually don't use the fees that are provided by Blockchain.com Many times when I used their calculations, I ended up receiving payments after multiple hours or even after a day. But... But right now, fees from them are right, just checked on a lot of websites and right now in order to get 2 input/output transaction confirmed in 60 minute, you have to pay 15 satoshis/byte.
Seems they are taking information about fees from bitcoinfees.earn.com ?
791  Economy / Economics / Re: Will we see new ATH this year? on: October 11, 2021, 10:20:53 PM
I think a lot depends on the SEC approving some of the BTC ETFs
If they do, I can see BTC spiking up and staying there as it will now be considered more legitimate by some people.
If they do not I think we will bounce around and get back to $60k but above that will be hard until we hear some other form of good news.

-Dave
There are psychological factors too. If bitcoin reachs $60K, then it just will surpass it's ATH, I hugely doubt we will see different scenario. If it reach 60K and then falls without reaching ATH, then it looks like to have last step on ladder and instead of moving on the final ladder, just slip away.

The fact is that the governments and/or other major financial sectors just don't want bitcoin to reach ATH again and they do everything for that but the bitcoin is still very, very bullish, like never before! What do you think, will we reach new ATH again despite a such resistance?

Why would governments want to prevent a new ATH? A higher price would certainly demotivate a good part of potential investors even more than is the case now, although I am thinking primarily of retail buyers. Yes, I know that we can buy a small piece of BTC for a few tens of dollars, but still, most people already consider BTC an extremely expensive investment. I think the new ATH is very certain by the end of the year, and it’s not at all impossible for it to happen this month either.
It just looks like that to my mind. Bitcoin reaches certain points and then boom, China says some random shit to push it down.
1. After Elon Musk's statement BTC started rapid loss + exchanges were in stuck and it even lead further fall, it was regaining what it lost in a minutes but then boom, China announced something and it immediately pushed it harder like a knockout.
2. Recently, Bitcoin surpassed 50K and then suddenly China put another shit and Bitcoin felt again.

This makes me to think that the government of China (in this case) doesn't want bitcoin to rise, the moments they announce something is just an indicator of this.
792  Other / Meta / Re: Maximum posts allowed per day on: October 11, 2021, 09:22:45 PM
I don't get one thing, this forum gives the freedom, crypto gives the freedom, there are people who are trying to bring you the freedom and people still are looking for limits, control, etc.
Admins, moderators and everyone knows what will prevent spam. Theymos mentioned many times that he wants to set as less limits as possible. Personally, I appreciate this decision. If admins/moderators are having issues, they would create thread and ask us for advises, right?
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Musk the boss behind SHIB? on: October 11, 2021, 08:24:21 PM
Maybe he is, maybe - not, we don't know who created that coin. Elon Musk loves money, once he even stated that he wants be the richest man on the planet and he will do everything for that. We all know how he made invaluable coin very valuable. Shib performs on the notes of Doge, it's a meme coin and it quickly surfaced once the doge reached it's ATH. Maybe Elon wants to skyrocket his profits by making SHIB another successful meaningless coin, maybe someone took the advantage of that situation and quickly created this coin.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT a trustable? on: October 11, 2021, 07:49:09 PM
If you want to hold USD, then just hold USD and if you are an active trader, then hold USDT to use to for everyday activities in crypto trading platforms. USDT is the most popular and most trusted stablecoin right now. I don't see any reason for it to happen something bad or wrong. Every exchange, even Binance prioritizes it over it's own BUSD.
If you don't trust USDT, you can just simply convert your USDT into USD or GBP or Euro or any other currency you trust. There should be one fiat that you trust the most and with most of exchanges, that's not a problem.
795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: October 11, 2021, 06:42:53 PM
There is a slight difference between trading and gambling. In gambling, you can get excitement and fun before losing but in trading, all the weight of all the world is on your shoulders, you are constantly under pressure, you may miss a night sleep to track the price (I had that moments). Once you lose 10% of your capital, then you need more than 10% rise to reach the original capital. If 2-3 loses are in a row and it's very, very usual, then you are becoming more nervous and the more nervous you are, the more mistakes you make. Finally, you are becoming addicted!
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $100,000 in December? on: October 11, 2021, 05:34:41 PM
Surely it will achieve and idk why it still sounds like an impossible achievement for some people. In 2017 when some would say that bitcoin may reach 10K and 20K, majority of people would call them crazy, etc. Right now, the scenario is going the way it was going back in 2017, this even strongly strengthens the chance of getting our wished new all-time high. 100K is a psychological level, bitcoin is 57K right now, after so many resistance and other damaging factors, it quickly and strongly regained very high price.
Crypto is a space where everything is possible and impossible at the same time but I strongly believe that we will reach 100K, there is just strong psychological background for that from holders but after reaching the 100K, it may go up to 130K and then fall or it even fall after 100K, we will have a serious crash after reaching new ATH.
797  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportbook without KYC on: October 11, 2021, 04:33:45 PM
There is a thread about the ranking of bitcoin sportsbook.
There are three A rated sportsbook:
Quote
"A" rated books
nitrogensports.eu A+ (2013)
betcoin.ag A (2013)
playbetr.com A- (2019)

Thist list is created according to successfully matching these criterias:
1. Security
2. Activity on bitcointalk
3. Poster review
4. Anonymity (how often they ask you for user informations including KYC and other details)
5. Margins - How good odds they offer
6. Payout speed
7. Markets
8. Traffic
9. Variety of currencies

From my personal experience I can say that Bitsler rarely asks for KYC details (except slots and live casino) but sportsbook isn't the niche where they shine.
And have a look at sportsbet.io (do your research about when and why they ask for KYCs), this sportsbook is really great.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can China Ban on Bitcoin have any negative effect on Bitcoin in future? on: October 11, 2021, 03:23:30 PM
If you look at those chart, data and the article, you would realize that China ban events don't have long lasting effects.
Yeah, that's right. Announcements from China have negative effect on bitcoin immediately but that quickly fades away. The fact is that current price is becoming a new normal for bitcoin and China can't have a serious influence on it. No one is gonna panic sell bitcoin because of China cause these announcements aren't something new, people have already adapted on these news and bitcoin can live well without China. If there was no history of statement and market would be hugely dependent on the China, then very strict and negative news/law on bitcoin could seriously beat it's price but all the things from China were coming slowly and slowly.
799  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 10, 2021, 10:03:31 PM
High prices aren't problem because they are new normal right now and if you want to still invest and think that prices are high and they'll lower, then you can open short contract on futures trading. But I want to remind you that it's not a good investment when prices are increasing and increasing like a bubble because the bigger it is, the quickly and strongly it will explode.
You better to stick with long-term trading and not on a daily one. Daily trading just will mess up with your mind and make the life worse, really, I hate the pressure it can put on you.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why businesses should accept Bitcoin payment on: October 10, 2021, 09:20:30 PM
So the company gain in two ways for accepting bitcoin for payments and if the price of bitcoin goes upward interest are generated also.
If the prices go down, huge losses are generated too. Usually, companies convert bitcoins into USD immediately to get rid of it's volatile nature and/or some of them integrate bitcoin payments and then remove it because of that reason but nowadays it's volatile nature isn't a problem with payment gateway providers.
Btw the real reason for business to accept bitcoin are two: 1. Variety choice of payments and 2. Marketing.
1. The most payment options you have, the better for you because people like it and someone may choose you over others because of comfortable payments.
2. Bitcoin is a good way to promote business, when there is a bitcoin banner on store, a lot of people are interested in it and visit the stores, it looks innovative for those who don't know what it is and gains the attention of people.
