7961  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaign for Newbie/Jr. Member ? on: December 27, 2014, 03:13:00 AM
Payouts for newbie and jr member signature campaigns are really low. Try bitin.io, I had an average experience with them months ago. Don't expect to earn much however, you can earn much more when you turn into a full member as the signature is more visible.

Hello Bitcoin World,

my name is Eldin Hadzic and my username is btceldin (eldinhadzic and eldinhadz allready used  Cry).

So i would say Hello to my name sibling(s)  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.

But here my question, where is a safe place to buy Bitcoin and is there a good and trustfully Online Wallet ?

Have a great day and a happy mining

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I would recommend using localbitcoins and find a seller with good reputations and meet up locally. For a online wallet, you can try blockchain.info with two factor authentication. There are still plenty of SPV clients which are safer than blockchain.info if youreview the source code properly.
7963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of stake mining of bicoin on: December 26, 2014, 02:11:58 PM
i was wandering in the future can bitcoin switch to proof of stake?

No. For any fork trying this an altcoin will evolve. Bitcoin will always be PoW.
No, it could switch to POS, POW is waste to much energy, the more important is POS is more secure than POW.
For big exchanges and even casinos who have alot of funds, they could probably 51% the network without the huge electrical bills.
7964  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help private key blockchain. on: December 26, 2014, 12:11:11 PM
Hello I am new to reinstall win for your computer. Along with the private key of blockchain also lost.
Anyone can help me retrieve private key of blockchain.
Thanks.......................
As I know, you can't recover it any more.
If he has the e-mail on wich he registered his blockchain.info wallet then ask support for it to recover.
Unfortunately, that won't work if he forgets the password. Blockchain.info would most likely have sent him the identifier the first time he registered and every payment thereafter. If he does forget the password, he can key in the mnemonic phrase on blockchain.info to recover the password.
7965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy Bitcoins securely with MasterCard EUR debit card? on: December 26, 2014, 08:40:08 AM
Rates have to be steep due to the possibility of chargeback being very high, you could try using virwox.com to purchase some BTC although their prices are high. Hey, at least you don't need verification right?
7966  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can you mine with an xbox or wii? on: December 26, 2014, 08:33:59 AM
Consoles generally have weaker GPUs compared to normal desktop computers. Yes, you can mine using it but buying an ASIC would be more practical than shortening the lifespan of your console with little to no returns after deducting electrical fees.
7967  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: cgmine showing hash speed but btc guild isnt on: December 26, 2014, 08:23:23 AM
i have 2 gridseed usb 5 chip miners and its not showing on website but is on cgminer thanks
Is your client submitting shares? BTCGuild estimate the hashrate from your rate of share submission. Do not rely on the hashrate displayed on the website as it is far from accurate. Could you take a screenshot of your cgminer and its configurations?
7968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how do buyer know double spend? on: December 26, 2014, 08:18:03 AM
will the payment simultaneously rejected?
One of the transaction will be confirmed and the other will be dropped by the network. You can never have both of the transaction getting confirmed. Double spending is relatively difficult but it is possible. To prevent double spending, one confirmation is mostly enough for small transactions, for big transactions, 6 confirmations would be enough as anyone with less than 51% of the hashrate have very less chance of double spending the transaction.
7969  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Hitleap accounts shop on: December 26, 2014, 06:48:55 AM
Can the Accounts be Recovered by the Owner Again ?

As far as i know, We have to download the App and let it run on our computer to earn minutes by surfing minutes
Will i have to download that app to use those minutes or i can do that directly from the website ?
Yes it is possible if you do not change password and email. That would be the case normally, I will also give you the email associated with it so i cannot recover the account. For my next stocks, all of them will be using disposable mail so i would have no way to recover accounts and you can still change email and password.

You do not need to run any app, just submit your website, set the time and you will recieve hits till your minutes are used up.

Thanks you guys for your precious replies!!

But  Why in hardware wallets? Is blockchain, coinbase, etc is not safe?

Blockchain is pretty safe, they cant steal your balance since they do not have the private keys to spend it. If they get hacked, you would most probably not be affected as your private keys are encrypted on their server. Blockchain and coinbase can get hacked as you need your computer to broadcast or initiate transactions. Hardware wallets are either offline or designed to be protected from computer viruses.

Though your private keys are kept on the client side, there was a bug on blockchain.info causing users to sign their transactions with the same r values over and over again. As a result, the private keys are leaked.
AFAIK, private key are not kept client side , they are stored on the server, encrypted. And I believe some users did not send Bitcoins from their address and still got their BTC stolen. Reports said that the RNG was mistakenly altered during a scheduled update. The best way to store large amount of coins is offline storage. For desktop wallets, hive, multibit, electrum are all good choices for average users. For online wallets, blockchain.info would still be a good choice as this could have happened to any online wallet service.
7972  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] (Staff Only) Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: December 24, 2014, 02:52:23 PM
Just a suggestion,
Why dont you start sending payments to primedice accounts?

Technically it might be illegal to do so.

I think that PrimeDice stipulates that you should be of gambling age to sign up to the site (certainly to use it), whereas there is no age stipulation on the campaigns.

Just a small observation, but I'm sure that sending the funds straight to the PD account would ultimately see a rise in wagers from campaign participants.

The signature campaign could ask to be of legal age to gamble. It would be good for primedice to send payments to primedice accounts as a larger portion of the payments would be gambled.

Anyway stunna already decided what to do with payment, so we can only suggest something for the next signature campaign.

If I was admin of this campaign I would do more than just send payment to PD account.
I'd force the participants:
1. create PD account
2. use their PD ref-link in signature.

Ref-link already contains account username. So to be enrolled you don't need to post "Hi, my name is blabla, rank: member, addy: 1dxhN....., number of posts NNN"
Just put you ref-link into signature and you are automatically enrolled. Bot will count all your posts from the signature start time and make payments to your PD acc.
Less work for programmers and campaign operator.

There are certain countries that deem online gambling as illegal and there are members who are not of a legal age to access a gambling website. Doing so would probably reduce the number of people participating in the campaign. Counting all the post would probably encourage spamming which is exactly what most if not all of the community members hate.
7973  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Raspberry Pi B+ on: December 24, 2014, 08:56:24 AM
Raspberry Pi model B+ includes only 512mb ram. To run a full node, be sure to add swap. If you only have a SD card, do not run a full node as swap and heavy read and writes on the SD card would most likely shorten the lifespan. Use a HDD/SSD instead.
7974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ad network for Faucet ? on: December 24, 2014, 08:41:00 AM
You can try these websites, a-ads.com and adbit.co. You would really need a huge amount of hits and clicks to actually profit a decent amount. You should also focus on promotion of your faucet than finding a good ad network.
7975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: transaction is showing on chainblock.com but not in my core software on: December 23, 2014, 09:24:41 AM
Hi folks, I realize that I might look like the biggest noob out there right now and that's fine because it's a fact. Cool

So, yeah I've purchased some amount of bitcoins yesterday morning and my transactions came up this afternoon on chainblock.com. Now, my wallet is in my bitcoin Core wallet but none of my bitcoins are in there. I need them to be there fast. What can I do?   Huh

Thank you

Like what the others said, sync it first. If you want it fast, import the wallet.dat in %appdata%/bitcoin for windows or ~ ./bitcoin for linux and copy your wallet.dat and paste it somewhere. Next, go to https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet and drag your wallet.dat to the square box.

7977  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please help ! Unconfirmed transaction . Waited for a day still havnt reached .tx on: December 22, 2014, 11:13:36 AM
hi ,
i sent my bitcoins from my wallet to website . but the coins have not reached yet . there are 0 confirmations . i thought that the transaction migh be of low priority due to some reason but after waiting for more than a day it still shows 0 confirmations .

I see, you have got it. Oh, this post was made on 17th? lol

Anyway, there are a few reasons for this kind of delay:
1 is not paying enough fee
2 is for very small transactions with low fee.
3 is spending an unconfirmed receipt which may be unconfirmed too.
Just to add on,
4. Having an output of less than 54.3 µBTC (dust transaction)
set fee above the minimal like 11k 12k satoshi max, for faster confirmation
For most transaction, 10k satoshi would ensure transaction getting confirmed within 1-2 blocks. 11-12k transaction fees does not really make much difference.
7978  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does BitVisitor work still? on: December 22, 2014, 07:51:52 AM
I still received payment. It doesn't pay nearly as well as it used to, as mentioned by other posters, but it's still better than nothing, I guess. 60 bits really isn't worth the time invested into it though, unless you're using a bot *cough cough*
The payouts is very low due to the increased price. Even if you use a bot, time spent into coding the bot, breaking the captcha would not be worth the time. And breaking captchas requires specially coded programs, GSA captcha breaker, captcha sniper ,etc. Those are paid programs with no guaranteed success.
7979  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My bitcoin reward keeps decreasing!? on: December 21, 2014, 12:36:40 PM
So I've been mining for about 2-3 months non-stop using 4 antminer U2's and when I first started out I was getting a little over 0.00002000 BTC , now I'm only getting 0.00001300 is there any reason? I'm using a raspberry pi as the controller hub all of my miners are at 2 giga hashes and don't really fluctuate. The only thing I could think of is my pool which is shush pool.
Please help!
Bitcoin difficulty adjusts every 2016 blocks, 2 weeks on average. The network would adjust the difficulty according to the average timing between each blocks. The network would then increase or decrease the difficulty to try to make the interval between blocks to be 10 minutes. If the 2016 blocks take more than 2 weeks to solve, the difficulty would decrease and vice versa. The higher the difficulty, the less your earnings would be. The difficulty has increased tremendously therefore, your earnings has decreased.
7980  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Funds won't transfer from slush to Electrum on: December 20, 2014, 08:20:53 AM
Yeah, I noticed the threshold and forgot to mention that I already modified it to .01 before the post just to test that everything is working as it should.  I am currently sitting on 0.04013597 BTC in Slush, however, my wallet is still empty.   Sad
Make sure that your wallet is in sync with the network, verify your address and check it on blockchain.info and check if the funds are received.
