8561  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion about post quality for PRIMEDICE signature campaign. on: July 25, 2014, 08:34:55 AM
I will go from the start and check, on the end of link i will add (in my opinion) if they are spammers and about how much i think its non constructive posts.
Anybody who does the same would be good to post so we see couple of opinions on post quality .

I will edit this post as i go .

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=335459 - OK , if he removed 15-20 posts as non constructive.

Cool post.  Can't believe someone took the time to look thru all of those.

Anyway, as I recall I had something like ~180 posts and only put 103 as constructive.

For pd3 we will have affiliate links in ours sig so we and he will know about ho effective this campaign is .

Yah, I've been wanting a referral link.  Affiliate is even better, I guess.  I post on a bunch of forums where there'd probably be some interest...

Tnx

Just one thing u may change ur signature to one from this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291387.msg3119391#msg3119391 for hero member. U are using old sig.

I asked Stunna if it was alright (since I never got an email) and he said it was.... more variety?   I'll change it over sometime today (10am = bedtime, jaja).
Probably not, I think the signature's style was changed a few months ago. Stunna would want it to be in the new style.
8562  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coins stolen from my wallet?!? on: July 25, 2014, 08:32:48 AM
My stolen BTC ended up in this accout:
https://blockchain.info/address/1Crspt3Fbx1jdWMmm2uFwzfQfvsmZvnwHg

and he/she continues in my opinion to steal from other wallets, too!

This guy had received about 0.88990851 BTC and the final balance is now about 0.0001 BTC and nobody can't stop these machinations.
That may or may not be his actual address, he might have used a mixer and mixed his coins. It can also be a shared wallet which everyone's balance is sent to one address.

I'll re-enroll since I failed to reach 50 posts in my last period.
Your post are rolled over to the next month. Therefore, if you made 40 constructive post, just add the amount you posted next month +40 and you will get the payment. You need not re-enroll
8564  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 700M+ Bets | 390k+ BTC Wagered | on: July 25, 2014, 08:28:42 AM
Very simple & easy! Just like every other aspect of Primedice. Any other spoiler requests?

Yes Tongue spoil the release date Wink haha

Also, what if you accidentally send more than you intended to in a tip?

Same as if a user accidentally bets more than they're meant to. We can't do anything about it unfortunately.

I don't see this being an issue however. Just like anything Bitcoin related, always double check!
You can place a message for example. "You are about to send X BTC to X person, this action is irreversible!" then the user can click confirm. If they say that they didn't meant to do this, they can't since they have to confirm twice.
8565  Other / Meta / Re: remove limits from bitcointalk.org account on: July 25, 2014, 06:31:10 AM
It's possible to have it reduced significantly by being whitelisted, though personally I rarely do that on request, better to have someone vouch for you.
What would the requirements be to get whitelisted, and what would happen when someone vouches for you?

Would this remove the posting limits?
Valid reasons, the person, I think preferably trusted among the forum would guarantee you won't spam up the forum. There isn't posting limits, only posting intervals.
But if someone was trusted on these forums, wouldn't they generally have been here for long enough and posted enough so that whitelisting someone would be pointless?
Please take note that I am not saying about the person who is getting whitelisted but another person who knows him well either online or in real life.
8566  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 24, 2014, 01:24:55 PM

1. Don't generalize to user ranks! (the activity points you used are minimums only)
2. Don't make a higher necessary posts per month than 50. Pay based on activity points NOT number of posts in any given month

Just to clarify
Pay Per Post Based on Activity no relation to post count
Or Base rate to 50 posts then adjust to pay per activity?

Pay Per Post Based on Activity no relation to post count WITH A MINIMUM OF 50 POSTS

Roger so the Bitcoin-Scratchticket model where its all automated with 50 min posts (Per Month) Assumed
Gotcha

For everyone else the model its based on

Bitcoin-Scratchticket (website)
Payment period: Weekly, up front.
Minimum posts: 25 posts per week.
Payments: N: 0.000002BTC per activity point, J: 0.000005BTC per activity point, M: 0.00001BTC per activity point, F: 0.000015BTC per activity point, S/H: 0.00002BTC per activity point.
Miscellaneous: Registration done on advertisers website. Automatic verification and payments. Payments done to account on website.

Their model isn't that good, the fact that they pay upfront allows a user to claim payment before going to another campaign, making the campaign useless.
8567  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone sent me 0.0136 free? on: July 24, 2014, 11:27:06 AM
Well its been an interesting 2 days, someone gave me 0.0136 btc from 2 addresses then took it back last night along with another $2 i hade in that wallet. Im the first to admit i didnt have any protection on that wallet apart from a good password so i guess its a good cheap lesson 2 learn. If any1 gets free btc from anywhere lock down your wallet ASAP, it might b a scam and u loose the lot. If this has happened 2 anyone else let me know.
It isn't possible to steal someone's wallet just by sending them a small amount. What wallet did you use? If you use brainwallet, you were most likely compromised by a weak password or you were using a shared wallet.

I am curious about that bolded text too.

You will be automatically re-enrolled on the next period. As long as you still have their signature, you will get paid for the next period, provided that you have reached the minimum amount of post required.

777 coins not paying now huh
Nope, OP stated that it will be maximum, 27July until payment. You guys shouldn't be impatient.
8569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone sent me 0.0136 free? on: July 24, 2014, 11:16:17 AM
FreeBitco.in could have sent you the money as a teaser to get you back to their site again. For the cost of a nickel they could get you re-engaged on solving the captchas and staring at their ads again...these people with the websites are pretty smart!  Tongue
It would be so expensive, 0.01 times a few hundred users or even more can cost 10BTC, even higher than their operating costs. They cannot guarantee you would go back to their site again.
8570  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 24, 2014, 11:13:29 AM

For a minimum of 400 posts:

Members: 0.2
Full Members: 0.3
Snr & Hero: 0.4

This is already more interesting! But however, is  @ stunna who decides !

Giving 0.2 Bitcoins for members group will not be wise idea, but agree with other or he can implement like this.

0.1 Member
0.25 Full member
0.4 Snr and Hero

I actually doubt most people can meet 400 post per month, it would be hard to be constructive and posting more .

Primedice is going to start ONLY announcing happy hours on Facebook!

Please like our page to be notified when they're happening Smiley We'll also include small giveaways in the comments and fun stuff like that!

Page: https://www.facebook.com/officialprimedice

Don't miss out, like straight away! Smiley

To be honest, I prefer Twitter to Facebook.
Why don't you use both FB and Twitter for announcements and communication?  Huh

This. A lot of people are going to complain who don't have or use Facebook. I still think they should be announced here as well though as its the easiest way for everyone to notice.

Might do Twitter as well soon. But for now we're just focusing on Facebook for a while. Appreciate the honest feedback however.

I don't monitor facebook, would much rather be on here learning about bitcoin and promoting primedice!

While I agree that the threads of PD Happy Hour are underway cluttered things up and may not have been super effective, I wish a different model would work for you.  Maybe instead of happy hour just a single bonus faucet hit for players who have placed a bit on PD in the last 24 hours or something?

Thanks and good luck!
Maybe not as effective, people can use bots to play on PD using that bit of BTC and after the decent amount is placed, they can automatically withdraw everything and use the faucet. They have not much to lose .
8573  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO lowers maintenance cost by 10% and decreases withdrawal fee 10 times on: July 24, 2014, 10:50:15 AM
Actually they've been continually slagged off for the high running costs of their hosted GH/s.... guess people are getting what they asked for.

I can't believe how you can even buy hashing power there. From what I hear they're hopelessly overpriced to begin with!

I barely have to be honest.  I'm trying them having pointed my miners at their pool for this week... then noticed with my BTC balance at ghash I could buy 33 GH/s from them.... I figured why not have my btc earning "interest" while it sits there so I bough it.... Idea being I let it mine for a while then hopefully sell it at the price I bought it for or more.

Why did I buy it? because there is no lock-in.... I bought... allow my balance at ghash to *work* for me then sell it when I move out.

I really really wish some capable bods would fork p2pool and start working on advancing the project!  I'd use it otherwise.

Actually I don't think your logic is fully correct. Yes, you may make some interest based on your BTC but how sure are you if you are going to get back your full amount? GH/BTC price is decreasing pretty fast. Since the difficulty is increasingly higher, you would need the difficulty to slow down to make a tiny bit of profit. Before you know it, you would be paying maintainence fees using your profits.
8574  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Free electricity but no free Internet... Should I still mine? on: July 23, 2014, 02:35:58 PM
You can't mine and profit at library unless you can bring in a huge machine and not get noticed. They would chase you out for your ASIC or computer making too much noise.

It isn't that easy to get noticed, since bitcointalk does not notify your when happy hour happens, you could easily see the unread replies and mistake it as a normal post and not taking your time to see the thread. Social communications sites can notify you when someone posts though.

If I made a campain i would make payout depending on where the posts are made, popular topics would count more

It is easy to say, but difficult to achieve... especially for a huge campaign like PD.

it's not dificult to program a bot

If I made a campain i would make payout depending on where the posts are made, popular topics would count more
It may not work though, people may be skipping their replies and you never know if they have taken a notice of it since there are too much replies. You wouldn't know which is the popular topic around, if you pay more based on that, people would just hang around the same thread and give replies.

and the bot could also could give less "points" to to post in one topic the more you post in it
Then it is vulnerable to spams across various threads, since your bot cannot count constructive posts accurately.

If my pc is secure, do I have to worry about other people on the same network, their PC being not secure (ie filled with virus/malware)?
You have to worry about them somehow, there are viruses that can be spread across the same network and you have a chance of being infected too. Especially if you are using a Windows OS.

ahh cant belive im late again Sad((

i didnt see the damn happy hour!

In the future it will be announced on Facebook also so it will be harder to miss Smiley

announcement is not problem the big problem is timing Stunna mostly done this on Australian time and its too early for many members
Stunna cannot please everyone, Stunna did it in non australia time a few times and some people like me missed it all, maybe Stunna can take turns to do between each times. For example, do australia time for one time and non australia time for the another.
8579  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO lowers maintenance cost by 10% and decreases withdrawal fee 10 times on: July 23, 2014, 01:47:22 PM
Is CEX.IO still profitable? Haven't used it for ages!
No, their prices per GH IS far too high. Even without maintenance fees, it is difficulty to ROI unless difficulty stops moving. Even so, you would take a long time.
