Any more opinions?
Find a powered USB hub. You shouldn't expect to ROI anytime soon. The difficulty is increasing too fast and it consumes too much electricity and the price per gh ratio isn't good.
8742  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New 14nm miners??????? on: July 13, 2014, 01:28:42 AM
Impossible, the smallest nanometer is 20nm, there wouldn't be such a decrease so soon. I would be interested to see his actual working product if he claim its 14nm. I don't think we can hit 14nm within a year
8743  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will downloading torrents give you spyware/malware? on: July 13, 2014, 01:25:40 AM
Avoid any sort of executable files/zip archives etc. and you should be OK. Also avoid pdfs.

One thing I would be wary of are dodgy ads/popups and Java stuff on the actual torrent site itself, basically just don't click anything and have adblock plus installed.

If you have a wallet file on the computer however, I would move it to an offline computer to be safe. I personally use paper wallets, with a small amount in a blockchain.info hot wallet with 2FA. Can't be taking any chances!
BTW- what is adblock plus?  that works for a program such as utorrent? or just internet browsers
It only works for Firefox and chrome.
If you do not run the file, you should be safe. Most of the viruses have to be executed to infect the computer.
8744  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next diff increase 3% (in 50 minutes) on: July 13, 2014, 01:16:36 AM
ASIC miners are switching off their hardware and kncminer stopped testing their ASICs and started shipping to people. People who preordered ASICs have waited for a long time and it hasn't come yet.
8745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lions and Tigers and API oh my !!!HELP!!! on: July 13, 2014, 01:12:33 AM
Bit of a newbie here needing some help on how to integrate api into my project.

I am in the process of creating a new bitcoin game that is more skill based and less gambling.
I would like for two users to be able to wager bitcoins in a winner takes all game. Minus a small fee.

So in detail what im looking for is a way to set up each player with a address then allow them to make deposits then make wagers before the game begins and then get paid their winnings when the game is over. I know this is probably an old subject but ive been looking for hours and am starting to go cross-eyed here.

What would be the best source for this API
Also in as much detail what is the best method to set it up?

Any help is greatly appreciated hopefully I will be able to bring a beautiful new bitcoin app to the maket in the near future
As the person above me said, onchain would typically take a confirmation, taking 10minutes of their time. If you make it offchain, you could probably allow the guy to deposit earlier. If you want to do it onchain, try https://blockchain.info/api. You can relay the deposits to your hot wallet address and when the guy finishes his game you can simply withdraw from your hot wallet.
8746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to properly uninstall bitcoin-qt wallet? on: July 13, 2014, 01:06:49 AM
1)Backup your wallet.dat first.
2) go to %appdata% and move everything to an external HDD
3) if you installed your bitcoinQT by installer, go to C:\Program Files\Bitcoin\uninstall.exe to uninstall it
4) go to %appdata% to check if your bitcoin folder still exist, if yes, delete it.
If you do not plan to move the whole bitcoin folder to an external HDD, ignore step 2
8747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where should i invest 1 btc ? on: July 13, 2014, 12:59:29 AM
I would offer a lending service at the lending subforum and lend to people who provide collateral. The safest way would be to hold, bitcoin value would likely to rise after a period of time.

Where can I see if any post had been edited? If I edit post in 2 minutes does it count like I edited it or not?
Hover over the timestamp and if you can see another date on the time stamp, then it have been edited. However, I think that if you edit within a short period of you posting your post, it will not be deem as edited.

Just a note, I have quitted this campaign already.
8750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the top features/functionalities you look for in an exchange? on: July 12, 2014, 04:31:57 PM
Securing their customer's coin in a cold storage
Doing regular audits
Two factor authentication
Listens to customer's feedback
Transparency
Https protection.
8751  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Are any ASIC miners making ROI anymore? on: July 12, 2014, 04:23:32 PM

While we would all love that I doubt any company would ship a miner that would return that quickly.  If it had that much potential then it would just "sit" on their shelves a few more days, you know, a little more burn in testing would be needed  Grin

I don't doubt that either heh Smiley

Last year, asics were ahead of the difficulty curve. My kncminer in December ROI'd in 23 days. These days you would be hard pressed to get your ROI in less than 45 days.

Maybe we will see some better equipment towards year end. These Chinese manufacturers are going to drive intense competition in 2015 for bitcoin and scrypt mining.
I wouldn't expect much of this anymore. You would need a really low electrical cost. As more people are into the mining game, difficulty would increase at a faster rate.
8752  Other / Archival / Re: Loan of .40btc needed till the 19th of next month on: July 12, 2014, 02:39:57 PM
What collateral you offering is this is acceptable then I can give you this loan but without collateral I cannot do this
Why do people always jump in and say they would do it if there was collateral and yet when it is offered they are nowhere to be seen.  Roll Eyes
Because people enjoy Stunna's rate too much.  Wink Not all the time though.
8753  Economy / Gambling / Re: Suspicious Sign In Attempt into Gmail Account on: July 12, 2014, 02:30:20 PM
Is here anybody else that it happened to him recently?
I had that problem around month ago, stopped happening after i've changed my password.
Screenshot:
Thanks, i never use the same passwords but i will reset my passwords just in case you could never know, better be on the safe side!
Someone may have used bruteforce or got it from somewhere else so do it and maybe also enable 2FA Smiley
It isn't possible to brute force Gmail since they have security to block your bruteforce attempts, since he also never used the same passwords, he might have a malware on his computer.
8754  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature & Personal MSG Campaign ★☆★ Newb,jr,mem Ref Bonus 10%! on: July 12, 2014, 02:17:10 PM
I used this service. No idea if I actually got paid. Was such a minor amount I don't care though tbh, haha.
I believe of you are in the enrollment list, you would get paid. Based on my payout, it seems that lightlord paid a lot of people. Lightlord wasn't that active and hasn't update the list yet, my name is still there.

If you hover over the post date in OP, you will see the post was last edited on Jun 23...
And even though lightlord has sent the second period payment on Jul 6, he has been too busy to update the post...
Payments was processed, updating things shortly.
I don't think he's that busy to post around rather than updating the post. And as said, I don't think he would risk his donator status for a negative rep, but I don't think people would join if he takes a long time to confirm everyone and update op.
8755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poll : do you trust an exchange to hold your bitcoins ? on: July 12, 2014, 02:12:35 PM
Can probably trust bitstamp who already have an audit.
You can but however, not fully. Anything can happen after an audit, even a hacking. AFAIK I don't think a reputable auditor did that audit, if not, it would be a good add-on.
8756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can you request payment like a Bill? on: July 12, 2014, 12:32:25 PM
Well, I don't think you can delete your thread. You can check the bottom left of the page, or simply delete your posts.
You could report your OP to a the moderators... but I don't think they'll delete it, maybe just move it someplace.

But why delete? This thread might help others understand a couple of things.
Reporting the post to mod doesn't work since it isn't classified as abusive or wrongly posted post. However, you can leave a comment but it may not work.

If you request payment, it will generate a QR code, which can include the amount of BTC to be sent and the address. It is very convenient for physical shops as they do not require time to slowly type out everything.
8757  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cant receive Bitcoins on: July 12, 2014, 12:25:13 PM
Thanks for your Help.
You mean that 31 Satoshis are to low to send it because the ZTransaction feee were higher?
31 satoshis would be considered as a spam transaction. Minimum transaction fees is 0.0001, if you want to withdraw those, it isn't profitable for you since it might never be confirmed.

8759  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 12, 2014, 12:13:48 PM
Sure keep going. But please complain in the meta section about it if you got your ban. Ive seen it in the past, I pass it along to newbies, nothing else. If you think you know better, who am I to stop you?
You're talking nonsense. I've once avoided the section almost completely and still got banned.
It's not a matter of which section you post in, but how you post in it.
I posted in beginners and help a lot and Stunna said if I post constructively, I would not get banned. I believe he don't ban people for which section they post but rather constructive posts.
8760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to run 2 miners from different manufacturers on: July 12, 2014, 12:08:47 PM
Hi everyone, I'm new to mining and started pool mining this week with a Antminer U2 from my PC. I just purchased a Rockminer R-box and I'm wondering how I would run both at the same time. I'm using bfgminer for the U2 currently and have a command file for that.

I'm reading that the R-box only works with cgminer so I would have to run zadig to replace the driver and my first question is I would have to start using cgminer for the U2 also if I'm correct?

Second question is if I have both the U2 and R-box on cgminer, do I create 2 different command files for each one and then have 2 separate command windows running or can I combine the code for both miners into one command file and have just one command window?

Thanks for any help in advance
Zadig simply helps you to install your driver. Run two cgminers with diffierent config files. I don't think you can combine both of the codes together since both of them requires different configurations.
