You have Activity 9... needs a bit more:

And now you have 61 activity and is finally a "member" of bitcointalk. Grin

Wait, how was the OP able to get from Newbie status to Member status in the space of one day (Aug 3 to Aug 4) without going through the Jr. Member stage?
OP's activity limit was raised by having a few of two activity weeks. If he posts another 50+ post, he would be a member immediately. Activity limit can be raised every two weeks and you posting them is like there are free activity on a basket and you can claim one of those when you post one. In this case, OP have a lot of activity unclaimed.

The trust system isn't broken. If you leave positive feedback for someone you essentially trust them so you also trust the feedback they've left. Have you added anyone to your trust list or chnaged the depth of the trust from 2 -3?
Wrong, trust system only works such that only people in default trust can leave trusted feedbacks. When you leave them a feedback, they have more or less trust for you but when they rate someone, the person's rating on your screen will still be neutral since they aren't in your default trust list. Unless you enter the max amount of depth, the statement made by me should be correct.

No, you're wrong and/or you didn't understand what I said. Read it again. If I leave you negative you'll look like a scammer to me and anyone who 'trusts' me.
Yup, I know. But you said that if I leave a positive feedback for someone, that guy would immediately be trusted by me and you would negative red ratings on the person when the person you left positive feedback on gives negative feedbacks to other's. You seem to be saying that in your first quote.
8403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earning on: August 04, 2014, 02:11:09 PM
the bestest way to join a sig camping but the sig campigns not allowed to newbies only starts from members..
you can buy member accounts full member ( i m selling) and earn
or invest..

or convert the cash into btc and invest or gamble all away
or just scam.. xD that is not prefer.
dont ask for loan if you are a newbie.. but ask for loan with a collateral.

Newbies can join the 777coin and scratchticket sig campaign.

Account buying is not really a good idea IMO, as the account seller can recover the account back when he want to, by sending theymos a PM.

Also, people can see if you are not the owner of the account as the posting style would be different from he past. Or if unlucky, the previous owner was inactive for a long period of time and people would be suspicious if it suddenly become so active. If found out, you will get negative reputations which would not allow you to join much of the campaigns.
8404  Other / Meta / Re: It's this stupid shit that pisses me off. on: August 04, 2014, 12:05:29 PM
Yeah, that's wrong, not sure where he got that from. I suggested it a couple times in the staff forum, maybe that's it.

It is a very good idea IMO.
But since you have suggested it a couple of times and this rule hasn't been implemented yet, does theymos not like it?
I see no reason not counting any post count as valid there. They can voice out their opinions on other things too, they can contribute constructive post and discuss about things other than Bitcoin. I don't see any reason not counting the post count since there are still people who are contributing to the topics there.
8405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cex.IO what can i do with GHS? on: August 04, 2014, 12:00:55 PM
You can sell it. Yeah, that's basically all you can do with it, or gift it to someone.

How?
Go to balance, click the withdraw button and there should be a generate voucher code(GHS). Fill in the amount and press generate. You will then recieve a email confirmation which you need to press the link in the email. If you are talking about GHS earned via referral programs or bonus GH, they are unmovable and unsellable.
8406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the #@!$ is going on ?! on: August 04, 2014, 10:59:43 AM
yea, as others have said better then i could, this is not a real problem.

though it sure will be nice when (hopefully) difficulty levels out somewhat...

How is it not a real problem? 10 minute blocks are one of the problems to be solved in Bitcoin. If it wasn't a problem there wouldn't be so many people thinking of solutions.

It's clearly a problem. The question is how big of a problem is it? Is it enough to slow down adoption? Will there be solutions found or implemented? Or is it just a minor annoyance that doesn't matter in the modern financial world?

the people thinking of and trying solutions is exactly why it's not a "real" problem. key word there - real. it's an issue that's being actively solved and in my personal experience hasn't been an issue at all, honestly. and i've spent a lot of coin... bought giftcards via the gyft app regularly and get them instantly, without waiting for confirms, for example.

My experience has been quite a bit different. Sure there have been many easy transactions where my money was accepted instantly or near instantly. But I've lost count of how many 20 minute-1 hour++ delays I've had to sit at the computer watching blockchain.info waiting for the next block or two.

There are POS which can accept instant payments. They have methods to check and migrate double spending attacks. For example connecting to a well connected node, a typical double spend attempt and be detected within minutes. Also, you can have third party wallet services which helps you to hold your BTC and you can do offline offchain transactions to the merchants through that service. For example Coinbase.

I think from brand new to newbies, you need to make one post and wait for a few hours. Newbies is not Brand new. Newbies require 1 activity and post.
8408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Worth mining? on: August 04, 2014, 10:46:04 AM
If you take a chance and risk mining a coin with really solid fundamentals from minute one you may be able to make a lot of profit. Unfortunately, if you just go to the latest multi pool and mine whatever is most profitable, it's hard to really make good monthly income without a powerful mining setup. What do others think?

Coins are not stocks/equities.  I'm not sure what fundamentals are.  Perhaps you mean a coin with great innovative ideas and a good dev team. Unfortunately it's hard to find those now with 10 scam coins popping up per day and cluttering the place with little scam wastes.
I cannot really think of how you make a profit since if you know for certain the price would rise or be stable, the difficulty can be high. Even coins with good developers can have lesser value over time, I have saw a lot of coin who had a huge community but still lost value, for example dogecoin.

8410  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 700M+ Bets | 400k+ BTC Wagered | on: August 04, 2014, 10:31:20 AM
Lost 10 times in a row with payout 1.1 Sad lost 0.20 btc.  Cry

Maybe I try again in prime dice 3.

You had 10 reds in a row with 1.1x payout? That is amazingly rare, do you have screenshot of that per chance? And sorry about your loss.

I've been cautiously accumulating BTC through Primedice with fairly low bets using the martingale system.  Had .025 and doubled it to .053 in 12 hours, then it bolted down to .01 after a losing streak of FIFTEEN reds.  I had my betting amounts strategically calculated and assumed it'd never even go above 12 loses.  Well that showed me I guess...  Much smaller accumulations are happening now that I know the risk is higher than I initially anticipated.

Another note -- does anybody know how to mitigate the occasional Cloudflare error & generic error dialog boxes that pop up?  I'm using Chrome on Win8 and would like to keep the site's bot going indefinitely without having to keep a close eye on it.
You may be surprised but mathematical calculations does not work. If they tell you that you will bust in a few hundred roll, it can either bust before that or after that. It depends if you are lucky or in technical term, the varience. You may experience very good streak at some point of time and you can experience worst streak at times. It the long run, this would happen. You should be active in chat regularly, I think cloudflare checks that you are active or not. It would disconnect you if you aren't active. I'm not sure if it would work but it's worth a try.
8411  Economy / Services / Re: Pentest Primedice 3 for bounties! on: August 04, 2014, 10:23:54 AM
I can test with 90gbps, let me know
Stunna don't need stressers. He can stress test it himself if he wants to. He is finding people who can exploit the website to gain access to admin panel for example. He would probably be using cloudflare so your ddos won't hurt him a lot too.

why i didnt get paid?
You have made less than 20 posts. The minimum post to claim payment is 20 post. This means that you have to make at least 20 CONSTRUCTIVE post to claim. Looking at your past post history, you would really need to improve on your constructive quality of your posts.
8413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the #@!$ is going on ?! on: August 03, 2014, 01:11:50 PM
-snip-
Why have the past few months processed 6 blocks rapidly then had a massive gap between the next one? What happened to average 10 mins per block? Looking at this, 120 minutes between six blocks is 20 minutes per block average, which is double the expected time.

Its the average of the last* 2016 blocks that count. Should that average result in 20 minutes the difficulty will be lowered.

*correction, its not actually checked every new block, so "the last 2016" is not correct.
what do 2016 blocks have to do with current confirmation times...and if the average is 20 minutes and the difficulty is lowered wouldn't it be EASIER to mine blocks? sort of contradicts it self doesn't it?
Bitcoin retargets by the average timing of the last 2016 blocks. If the average is more than 10 minutes, the difficulty will be lowered if the average is less than 10 minutes, the difficulty will rise. It does not seem to be going to decrease however, look at https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty. They estimate the difficulty increase. Variance happens frequently so that is something we cannot avoid. At times, it can be faster and at times it can be slower.
8414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would faucets be worth it if you thought Bitcoin will reach $1-10 million? on: August 03, 2014, 11:33:44 AM
some people say they are waste of time, i say they are a useful waste of time as it helps understand the coins
Not really, most of them have very low payouts, they have limits of at least 0.0001. You are better to read about this and understand about everything before you start wasting your time for faucets, even a dollar equates to 10 times of your continuous fauceting for one hour. It is a better choice to know if the coin is suitable for you before deciding to participate in it.
8415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Pos do not work ? on: August 03, 2014, 11:23:15 AM
After POW end , generate last POW block , then should be generate POS block , why Pos do not work , just stay on last POW block ?

who know what reason ? and how to fix ?
Assuming you are talking about Bitcoin, Bitcoin will continued to be mined using hardware SHA256D forever. They rely mostly on transaction fees to earn from the blocks when the block rewards get smaller. POW algorithm is coded into Bitcoin by satoshi, it will never be changed unless you hard fork the network which would require all of the client to upgrade and accept it. Exchanges can monopoly Bitcoin if it is operated by POS as they own a huge amount of coins therefore, most of us disagree to move to POS. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi all,

Is there a moderator who can help me with understanding how to move to Junior Member status? I have the requirements, but my user name doesn't seem to be updating.

Thank you for the help
The activity required for Jr member is 30 which means you need 30 post and at least one more week of waiting
The activity update takes up 30minutes. The rank update may take more though.
8417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would faucets be worth it if you thought Bitcoin will reach $1-10 million? on: August 03, 2014, 08:19:50 AM
Are there any good online survey sites which would pay in Bitcoin?
Survey sites are like those faucet, they don't usually pay high and the number of surveys should be quite low. They are either scams or pays very low. I haven't see any good survey sites, you can write reviews for BTC at the service section.
8418  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PrimeDice Is A Scam! on: August 03, 2014, 08:14:05 AM
Here you go

Now tell me if i am the owner of the site on front page i can say low house edge but i can put the real house edge to what ever i want! It will make me profit!
House edge can be seen by the multiplier and the win chance of the rolls. There isn't a way to change the house edge without the user seeing it. The user can determine the fairness of the game and the house edge individually. If the win multiplier is x2, the higher the house edge, the lower the amount of chance of you hitting it. The lower the house edge, the higher the win chance for x2. You may want to look through this:http://casinogambling.about.com/od/oddsandends/a/houseedge.htm
8419  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PrimeDice Is A Scam! on: August 03, 2014, 08:09:16 AM
even i have tried this earlier ,  i betted under 90 with 0.0001 and i win a lot , when i do with 0.01 and 0.1 ( 9 rolls i done ) and i lost 7out of those , lolz how u say its probably fair , haha
There is no way for the house to even manipulate the rolls if you change your seed very frequently. I doubt Stunna does that even if you don't change it. Varience always happen, you can have long lose streaks at time and long win streaks at times. I suggest you to looki through this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variance

Once, he sent me 0.05 for free, after I posted a loan. At first I wanted to ask for his repayment address but he said it was totally free. And guess what......

He sent 0.2 more  Smiley He's a really kind person.
