If I were Stunna, I will send bitcoin to PrimeDice ID and write a note for each payment "You can cash out immediately or try your chance Smiley"  I am sure he will earn more with this tactic. Most of people want to try at least 1 or 2 round..
Not really, people don't want to pay an extra 0.0001 just for withdrawal. I can always transfer the BTC to primedice account of I want to.
8382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet setup on: August 05, 2014, 03:32:01 PM
I have a wallet called mycelium on my phone and does the same barcode thing that you ask for but i am not sure how safe is that.
AFAIK, it does not do any barcode 2FA. It only allows you to access paper wallets and sweep keys or just scanning address.
8383  Other / Meta / Re: Website Slow? on: August 05, 2014, 02:47:41 PM
Yeah it is working fine on my end too. Have you checked you internet connection recently? There could be something up with that.
http://www.speedtest.net/
Is only this website loading slowly? Have you tried others?

Was only this website and I did speed test, 3 ms ping with 100 down and 60MBup...only website was having issues...seems to be fine now though
Was any other program hogging your bandwidth? It can be a temporary issue with routers. I get these frequently and after a reboot, it works fine. There may be downloads occupying your bandwidth, slowing down internet speeds.
8384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: downloading original bitcoin wallet on: August 05, 2014, 02:42:22 PM
My internet speed is solid at around 10-15 mb/sec.  How long would it take for me to download the entire blockchain for the original bitcoin wallet?
Time taken to verify the blocks can take more time than downloading it. Your peers' latency and speed can also affect your blockchain download speed. Even if you have lightning fast internet, if your peers have slow internet, you would likely to take a longer time to download. You can always use a lightweight wallet if you prefer not to wait for so long.
8385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Changing the 21 million bitcoin limit on: August 05, 2014, 01:48:17 PM
im curious to know about when production will stopped but when transaaction fee will rape little bit..
At around 2140, the reward would be very small. Miners would be earning their BTC mostly from transaction fees. I don't see a point to have a coin with infinite limit, the price would decrease as coins are released to the market everyday. It is just like fiat, money being printed everyday without limit.
8386  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: To those who say mining is unprofitable: on: August 05, 2014, 01:43:43 PM
What do you think the difficulty rate will average out to being over the next few months? Because even 15% is roughly break-even for S3's. I'm back in the game with these little bastards. If the difficulty rate stays reasonable, there's a nice little bit of money to be made still.
A lot of ASICs are designed and shipped. I won't be surprised to see bigger increases sooner or later. If people see it as a profitable investment, they would buy ASICs to mine, for people with cheap electricity, they can host much more. The difficulty would increase significantly and it won't be profitable any longer.
8387  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: August 05, 2014, 01:39:32 PM
I joined today to this. Is this still going? Just making sure. Also my signature is smaller than other peoples for some reason. I deleted everything from my previous signature, and copied and pasted your code in there. Is there something special I have to do to make it larger?

Thanks.
You are using a wrong signature. You are using a signature only for hero and senior members. You should use the full member's one. Different rank have different styling limits.
8388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is My Rig good for Mining? on: August 05, 2014, 01:38:11 PM
Sell the rig for $30 and buy 0.05BTC with that - that's more than the hardware could ever mine.

It seems to be OP's main computer, not sure he'd want to sell it just to get some cryptos.
IMO, the computer is very very slow. It would be more logical to get a new computer. He should be able to get a new computer for a very cheap price. I personally believe it can sell around $100 or so, sure worth it to try out BTC or get a new computer.
8389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet setup on: August 05, 2014, 01:35:09 PM
Is it possible to setup a wallet so as the only transfer allowed is that of a QR code scan from mobile phone, i try to use bitcoin where possible but am still paranoid about storing it. I thought if the only way to spend any coins was to have my phone it might be a bit safer.
Phones isn't more secure than normal computers. They can have vulnerabilities. Basically anyone with your private key can spend your BTC. The best way would be to place it in a offline wallet. Banks are centralised which means they can control your account such that your money transfer can be controlled. With bitcoin, no such feature exist since no one can  control how your coins will be spent.
8390  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: creating an exchange site on: August 05, 2014, 01:30:55 PM
You need reputations and good interface and security to create a successful exchange. No one would trust an exchange that have no reputation around. You would really need to custom built your own front and backend. It isn't easy for any beginners and may be a challenge for some experts. You would need custom features to compete with other exchanges. Your security must also be very good, you would be liable for all lost if your exchange is hacked. Lastly, you need to comply with your local laws. This is a complicated process.
8391  Other / Meta / Re: I dont understand the activity thing on: August 05, 2014, 01:26:25 PM
Yeah, that's the point !  Cheesy  Although I'm still newbie in this forum, I already read all common sense for this forum. But yes thats the point.

It's like for your 2 week of "activity time" you got 1 activity everyday, for every posting you made. (Is it still confusing ? I think so Tongue)

Let's make it simple, just imagine 2 weeks contain 14 days and activity count is like 0/14.

Your activity amount will increase along with your post but, what's make activity different with post is : the

max amount of activity is 14/14. and will reset after 2 weeks
It can be higher. If you make 1 post per two weeks, you would have 13 activity points per two weeks. Once you post some posts, you can raise your activity immediately. Activity will never reset, it just builts up, it cannot be deducted, only to be used.
8392  Other / Meta / Re: I dont understand the activity thing on: August 05, 2014, 01:24:24 PM
What is activity?

    Activity = min(time * 14, posts)
    Increase activity by posting.
Activity is updated every 30 minutes.
Maximum of 14 activity every 2 weeks.

Does the 14 day increments happen starting by the time you register?

Like 22 july, 05 august, 20 august, 3 september... etc

You can make 14 posts inside these 14 day increments, and if you make more than 14 posts then the activity doesn't go up right?

if I make like 100 posts, will the activity go out automatically every 14 days until these 100 posts are divided in the 14 day increments?

and btw my activity just went up now

PS: you have to answer to the questions, i dont understand maths im retarded
It happens on a scheduled time slot. The next one happens on today or tomorrow. You can make more than 100 post but your activity will not increase once you have rises more than 14 post taken that you have reached the limit. The activity limit is dependent on the number of two active week. Therefore, if you post at least one for 3 two weeks period, you have 42 activity available for you to claim. To claim, you need to make 42 post or if your post count I'd higher than the activity, make one post and your activity will increase until it either hit the maximum available activity to claim or post limit. Whichever reach first. As said, they are limited so, even if you make 100 post now, you must make sure your activity limit is higher than 100 to make sure it increase by 100. If not, you must be active for a few two weeks period to claim it. Activity limit is raised only on two active weeks.
8393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cex.IO what can i do with GHS? on: August 04, 2014, 10:37:16 PM
Cant i use it to mine other currency on the website other than BTC?
On the site, you can merge mine selected few SHA256 alt coin. You cannot mine scrypt coins however. You also cannot specify a selected alt coin too.
8394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is My Rig good for Mining? on: August 04, 2014, 10:31:06 PM
CPU is ok, GPU is not.
I suggest you use 750 Ti as GPU.
Check your mother board to see how many PCIe it supports
Mining doesn't use much of the CPU, so if you insist on that CPU, it is ok. However, it can overheat easily since it is so old and likely to be already degraded. You can find a cheap CPU at a even cheaper rate. I suggest you to just custom built a new computer for mining. It can have a better airflow if you use crates to built one. I doubt you can profit from mining by building one rig. Most coins isn't stable or already have a high difficulty so it's difficult to profit from mining.

Lost 10 times in a row with payout 1.1 Sad lost 0.20 btc.  Cry

Maybe I try again in prime dice 3.

You had 10 reds in a row with 1.1x payout? That is amazingly rare, do you have screenshot of that per chance? And sorry about your loss.

I've been cautiously accumulating BTC through Primedice with fairly low bets using the martingale system.  Had .025 and doubled it to .053 in 12 hours, then it bolted down to .01 after a losing streak of FIFTEEN reds.  I had my betting amounts strategically calculated and assumed it'd never even go above 12 loses.  Well that showed me I guess...  Much smaller accumulations are happening now that I know the risk is higher than I initially anticipated.

Another note -- does anybody know how to mitigate the occasional Cloudflare error & generic error dialog boxes that pop up?  I'm using Chrome on Win8 and would like to keep the site's bot going indefinitely without having to keep a close eye on it.
You may be surprised but mathematical calculations does not work. If they tell you that you will bust in a few hundred roll, it can either bust before that or after that. It depends if you are lucky or in technical term, the varience. You may experience very good streak at some point of time and you can experience worst streak at times. It the long run, this would happen. You should be active in chat regularly, I think cloudflare checks that you are active or not. It would disconnect you if you aren't active. I'm not sure if it would work but it's worth a try.
What I meant by mathematical is that I had it calculated out that I wouldn't bust until after 15 losses in a row, which I thought would be extremely unlikely.  Shot that theory to dust just last night again after a 16 loss streak. Undecided   Fun learning experience though!
Mathematical calculations have very very low accuracy. From my experience, even though they say that you cannot hit 20 lose streak at 49.5% and my settings I actually got 21 lose streaks. It was from a long time ago. The only thing affecting run payouts are variance and house edge, for a casino with high house edge, you would have lesser payouts and more likely to bust. Variance means that you can have successful runs at times while having unsuccessful runs at time, it is totally random. One time of successful run doesn't mean the next would be unsuccessful one.

I guess mathematical is the wrong term in my case then.  All I meant was I took an educated guess that 15 losses in a row on 45/55 would be damn near impossible.  All the math did was tell me how much I could lose before I got to zero at the 15th loss.  House proved me wrong there.

For the future runs, I think I'm going to set my lose streak bet to 25 reds.  25 reds in a row at a 1 satoshi bet with a 1.1 multiplier and 50/50 means you still need .6 BTC in the bank to negate a loss.  But seriously, 25 losses in a row?  That's gotta be impossible. ;-)
Trust me, you won't gain anything from 1 satoshi bets. Since 1 satoshi x1.1 is 1/10 of a satoshi and they are considered as 0. In the long run, even longer lose streaks can happen. Your educated guess in this place is wrong. Long streaks can happen in both short and long run. If you play long enough, you would realise streaks are even larger than you think it can be.

8397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should I do with over $4-5 worth in BTC? on: August 04, 2014, 02:21:53 PM
Hello everyone, since a few months ago I started gathering BTC from faucets and PTC's based on BTC, and recently I also sold some Latium and Doges(which I got from Freedoge.co.in) at Coin-Swap, and after all that time I have know at the time of writing this $4.60 and I'm waiting for the next Doge payout.

So, you do realize you have gather only $4.6 for spending months on faucets and PTC, don't you?

You should have spent 2 months to get your account to member rank, and should have joined the a sig campaign to get way more than $4.6.

Lol... I got on a site and got a $5 donation of bitcoins! Stupid faucets are worthless unless you can make bots to collect for you!
Bots are even worst. Given that you need human captcha solvers to solve recaptcha and solve media captchas, every one hour, you can only claim once which means that you are making a few hundred or thousand satoshi by a few faucet site. You are not only wasting electricity but you are also wasting money on captcha solving services.
8398  Other / Meta / Re: Fulfilled Junior Member Requirements But Still Newbie Status on: August 04, 2014, 02:19:06 PM
You have Activity 9... needs a bit more:

And now you have 61 activity and is finally a "member" of bitcointalk. Grin

Wait, how was the OP able to get from Newbie status to Member status in the space of one day (Aug 3 to Aug 4) without going through the Jr. Member stage?
OP's activity limit was raised by having a few of two activity weeks. If he posts another 50+ post, he would be a member immediately. Activity limit can be raised every two weeks and you posting them is like there are free activity on a basket and you can claim one of those when you post one. In this case, OP have a lot of activity unclaimed.

The trust system isn't broken. If you leave positive feedback for someone you essentially trust them so you also trust the feedback they've left. Have you added anyone to your trust list or chnaged the depth of the trust from 2 -3?
Wrong, trust system only works such that only people in default trust can leave trusted feedbacks. When you leave them a feedback, they have more or less trust for you but when they rate someone, the person's rating on your screen will still be neutral since they aren't in your default trust list. Unless you enter the max amount of depth, the statement made by me should be correct.

No, you're wrong and/or you didn't understand what I said. Read it again. If I leave you negative you'll look like a scammer to me and anyone who 'trusts' me.
Yup, I know. But you said that if I leave a positive feedback for someone, that guy would immediately be trusted by me and you would negative red ratings on the person when the person you left positive feedback on gives negative feedbacks to other's. You seem to be saying that in your first quote.
8400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earning on: August 04, 2014, 02:11:09 PM
the bestest way to join a sig camping but the sig campigns not allowed to newbies only starts from members..
you can buy member accounts full member ( i m selling) and earn
or invest..

or convert the cash into btc and invest or gamble all away
or just scam.. xD that is not prefer.
dont ask for loan if you are a newbie.. but ask for loan with a collateral.

Newbies can join the 777coin and scratchticket sig campaign.

Account buying is not really a good idea IMO, as the account seller can recover the account back when he want to, by sending theymos a PM.

Also, people can see if you are not the owner of the account as the posting style would be different from he past. Or if unlucky, the previous owner was inactive for a long period of time and people would be suspicious if it suddenly become so active. If found out, you will get negative reputations which would not allow you to join much of the campaigns.
