I used this service. No idea if I actually got paid. Was such a minor amount I don't care though tbh, haha.
I believe of you are in the enrollment list, you would get paid. Based on my payout, it seems that lightlord paid a lot of people. Lightlord wasn't that active and hasn't update the list yet, my name is still there.

Sure keep going. But please complain in the meta section about it if you got your ban. Ive seen it in the past, I pass it along to newbies, nothing else. If you think you know better, who am I to stop you?
You're talking nonsense. I've once avoided the section almost completely and still got banned.
It's not a matter of which section you post in, but how you post in it.
I posted in beginners and help a lot and Stunna said if I post constructively, I would not get banned. I believe he don't ban people for which section they post but rather constructive posts.
8763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to run 2 miners from different manufacturers on: July 12, 2014, 12:08:47 PM
Hi everyone, I'm new to mining and started pool mining this week with a Antminer U2 from my PC. I just purchased a Rockminer R-box and I'm wondering how I would run both at the same time. I'm using bfgminer for the U2 currently and have a command file for that.

I'm reading that the R-box only works with cgminer so I would have to run zadig to replace the driver and my first question is I would have to start using cgminer for the U2 also if I'm correct?

Second question is if I have both the U2 and R-box on cgminer, do I create 2 different command files for each one and then have 2 separate command windows running or can I combine the code for both miners into one command file and have just one command window?

Thanks for any help in advance
Zadig simply helps you to install your driver. Run two cgminers with diffierent config files. I don't think you can combine both of the codes together since both of them requires different configurations.
8764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online to offline on: July 12, 2014, 12:05:42 PM
I have some coins in coinbase. I am a complete newbie, Can any one tell me a method to get my bitcoins offline. After i saw what happened to "klee" I dont want to take any risk. I searched on google and found some posts about "cold storage". can any body tell me the method on how to do that
1) install a fresh copy of Linux and disconnect your computer from the internet.
2) Put bitaddress.org offline version into it
3) run it and scroll your mouse around with randomness
4) print it out
In order for your wallet to qualify to be a cold storage, it must be created in a computer that is Linux and didn't connect to the internet before. Do test the wallet by sending small amounts into it and sending it to your coinbase wallet, just to ensure it works. Do enable two factor authentication on coinbase and keep small amounts of Bitcoins in the exchange.

It's really huge win, can't believe how people have guts to play like this.

either he is a millionaire who is addicted to gambling or he has balls of steel, however i dont think he plays with his lifetime money
I would say he is a early adopter of Bitcoin. For a guy to take such a huge risk bet, he needs to have 100+ BTC, since he needs it to continue betting if he loses.
8766  Other / Off-topic / Re: Freebitco.in earn bitcoins using Martingale betting system on: July 12, 2014, 12:35:48 AM
I have actually tested this script a while ago, I bust in around 30minutes. The script is just betting at x5 and increase slowly. Yes it may work in the short run but definitely not for long runs.

If you really tested out this script you would know that it doesn't keep multiplier constant while betting.
It actually stands on our website,in the description, that this script has multiplier adjustment system.

You cannot expect that this script can make you rich if your balance is few k satoshi or less.
This script requires that you accumulate some money before you run it, that way you'll be safer and the script will show better results.
And you will eventually earn much more than just typing captcha every hour or using their auto-betting option.
I had around 20k and I meant that the betting amount increased just like martingale. I was wiped in 30minutes, as said, even if you have 1BTC, you can eventually bust.
8767  Other / Off-topic / Re: best browser to use? on: July 12, 2014, 12:32:25 AM
Chrome is still the best.

Chrome belongs to Google. Google have turned to the dark NSA side. It's proven that Chrome sends some unrecognizable data to the Google servers in the background

The only option we have today is Firefox, if you are concerned about your privacy. But I'm starting to worry about this one too...
Firefox, probably is the one that listens to their users the most. They do not compromise their user's security and do not allow NSA to spy on them.

Is Stunna online? I want to leave the campaign a week early, is that alright with him? Will he still pay for 300 of my posts?

It tells you whether someone is online or not under their name. The little box will be green if so and white if not. I've not heard of anyone being allowed to leave the campaign early, though there's always exceptions.

I think you have an option to turn that off in your profile, so it won't work for everyone. Tongue

EDIT: that should be the "Show others your online status?" option, I think. Check to see what's my status at the moment. Smiley
Stunna usually don't turn it off. I believe last active would be a better indicator, the status online stays there for a few minutes even when his offline but you can see the exact time he is online if you see his last Active. Wait for sometime as Stunna is quite busy.

Want a help from a moderator.

U r perma-banned or banned for a certain period ? If it is your first time, then most likely the second one is true and u should feel lucky that Vod has not already turned u Red for asking loans without co-laterals. Moreover, in your last post u said your alt account can be a co-lateral... this may also be a reason for your ban, though I'm not sure about the exact forum rule of holding alt accounts as co-lateral.

Theymos clearly stated that alt accounts are permitted, as long as they aren't used to evade bans. OP is doing this, evading a ban, and will probably be IP banned or something similar.

Where I can check my or others ip? Only mods can do it? IF he has not permanent IP someone else can be banned instead.
Only theymos can check IPs, he will only release it if he receive an official police report. Anyone can easily use TOR to evade the ban, IP ban doesn't really work.

IIRC, people need to pay a fee to register a new account with Tor, but they can use Tor to login their registered accounts without any problem. Smiley
People will not need to pay a fee if they are using a paid VPN.
8770  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB Miners on: July 11, 2014, 03:32:32 PM
Mining with a USB miner would be worth it if the miner was a gift, the electricity was free, and the pool had no fees.
The chances of it happening? Very low. Their hashing speed aren't that fast and can only earn like 500 satoshis per day. Isn't really worth your time IMO, especially when difficulty is rising so fast.

I have a question, form said that all spam/off topic should be removed from post count. I know what spam and off topic are but are posts in Off-topic  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=9.0 part of the forum counted or not?
Those posts are counted, as long as the post is answering the Thread's topic.

8773  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Are any ASIC miners making ROI anymore? on: July 11, 2014, 01:58:08 PM
If your power is free you ROI  Wink

Wrong, your ASIC don't mine forever, it will break one day...
It may or may not last forever, however, we are all certain that difficulty will increase very fast so that it cannot be profitable any longer for that ASIC.

I just enrolled for the PrimeDice signature campaign, do we get any feedback if we are in?
Nope, once you have filled up the form accurately, you are enrolled automatically. Stunna will update the enrollment list in short periods of time.
8775  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB Miners on: July 11, 2014, 11:45:10 AM
You will need at least 100 miners at 330MHs to get like less than 1$ per day, which is very low. They are not profitable anymore.
Those miners actually have less efficiency and requires more space and wiring rather than a simple Plug-and-play mining machine.
8776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB Miners on: July 11, 2014, 10:15:50 AM
okay, I get it now
but you have to have some serious money to pull this off and get ROI right? Smiley
Yup, that is why most people don't mine any longer, just trading.
8777  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB Miners on: July 11, 2014, 10:02:35 AM
I've heard that USB miners aren't really useful for mining anymore but I really want to experience what mining is like, even if I'm not really getting anything more than a few satoshis. With them being pretty outdated I was wondering if anyone had one or two left over from when they actually were useful, that would be willing to send them to me. I could probably pay for shipping if need be. I understand that even the cost of the electric needed to use it, is more than I will get out f it, but it is nothing something I will be doing long. Like I said, kinda just want the experience.
Thank you all in advance.

Most miners out on ebay are obselete in profitability.

Dont forget the power costs when mining.

Good to play with if you want to mine for a little project.  But USB's stick miners are pretty much not for profit.

is any miner really for profit? Cheesy
Not much, you have to invest a lot and have cheap electrical cost. Mining is really all for big miners now, small miners are already out of the game.

I don't understand how can even they make profit

I mean, if they have free electricity
and mining exceeds the price of electricity

wouldn't it be more profitable to sell the electricity?

Is this even legal? If you have free electricity, but some ASICs and since you do not count electrical cost into your final calculations, your profit would be a lot more, more than selling electricity.

how can it be more then selling electricity
if you can't break even when paying electricity Cheesy

is it legal?
I don't know about other countries, but here you can directly sell electricity to your electrical provider, the equipment for that however costs around 2000$
A kW would cost a few cents when sent to your provider. However, in a kW of power, you can mine even more amount of BTC. After some time, you can also choose to sell the ASICs.

if that is true, how is it not profitable to mine while paying electricity?
You have to minus the electrical cost when you are calculating profits. The cost can be quite high if your electricity isn't cheap. You might not be able to ROI if you also have to count cooling and ASICs equipment electricity cost.

8779  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it normal that Bitcoin Core wallet takes hours to verify blocks and start? on: July 11, 2014, 09:52:20 AM
Bitcoin Core, there's your problem
download MultiBit, it's much faster Wink
Multibit doesn't allow you to run a full node, it lacks of those tools that developers needs and also can be useful for a normal user. But if you are just going to send and receive btc, then light client wallets are he best. I have heard multibit have some issues though.
