Some people just really hate atheists (BADlogic)

Just can't stop themselves from posting bigotry and hatred of something they don't understand
802  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jewish Misanthropists Pledge $100 Million Dollars To Black Lives Matter on: September 23, 2016, 03:06:26 PM
Ishmael is right...

Jews are in a unique position among "white people", in that they have endured countless generations of hatred and bigotry

The Jews are one of the most hated groups in the world... they understand what it is like to be on the wrong end of bigotry

If other "white people" had similar experiences, they wouldn't be so quick to dismiss BLM

I suppose it would help to understand that the fossil record is not 100% complete...

The thing with fossils is... they are kinda randomly formed... not every plant or animal turns into a fossil... most decay

The odds of an animal or plant becoming a fossil is around 1/1,000,000... it's a rare event, so not all plants or animals that have existed are guaranteed to be fossilized

Then, you have to find and dig up the fossil... which not many people do... so we have not found all of them

Even so, BILLIONS of fossils have been found, which makes for a lot of evidence, all pointing to evolution

There is zero evidence that any god or alien intervened at any point in history... none, zero, zip, zilch
804  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump was right about going after terrorists' families on: September 21, 2016, 01:42:27 PM
To be fair and honest...

His father reported him to the FBI as a TERRORIST in 2014

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/sep/20/ahmad-khan-rahami-father-fbi-terrorism-bombing

Quote
“Two years ago I go to the FBI because my son was doing really bad, OK?” Mohammad Rahami told the New York Times. “But they check almost two months, they say, ‘He’s OK, he’s clean, he’s not a terrorist.’ I say OK.”

He added: “Now they say he is a terrorist. I say OK.”

You can't say his family supported his actions... they clearly opposed him

If anyone is to blame here, it's the FBI
805  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dudeism - The slowest growing religion in the world on: September 21, 2016, 01:31:24 PM
It's more of a philosophy than a religion... like Taoism or Buddhism (without the magical chi crap)

There are no prescribed gods or holy texts

I assume it's labelled a religion for tax purposes... religions are automatically tax exempt (so long as they follow a couple simple rules)

It's also free and super easy to get ordained as a Dudeist Priest... fill out a simple internet form, agree to take it easy... and you're a priest... who can legally marry people, etc

If you are a priest and write a book about your religion... tax exempt

I think most people just dig the music and ignore the personal drama... I don't care much for the Beatles, but they had a pretty chill message

I do like "While my guitar gently weeps", but I think that's a George Harrison solo
807  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dudeism - The slowest growing religion in the world on: September 19, 2016, 04:36:59 PM
All dudes have their ups and downs... nobody is perfect

I'm a fan of Ben Franklin... I think he was a great dude with all the inventing and not patenting anything

But Benny was a hella womanizer... if a woman offered to suck his cock for $1000, he'd go find the ATM

I think they also found a couple dozen skeletons buried in his basement... can't win em all man

The Church of the Latter-Day Dude
http://dudeism.com/
http://dudespaper.com/

While Dudeism in its official form has been organized as a religion only recently, it has existed down through the ages in one form or another. Probably the earliest form of Dudeism was the original form of Chinese Taoism, before it went all weird with magic tricks and body fluids. The originator of Taoism, Lao Tzu, basically said “smoke ’em if you got ’em” and “mellow out, man” although he said this in ancient Chinese so something may have been lost in the translation.

Down through the ages, this “rebel shrug” has fortified many successful creeds – Buddhism, Christianity, Sufism, John Lennonism and Fo’-Shizzle-my-Nizzlism. The idea is this: Life is short and complicated and nobody knows what to do about it. So don’t do anything about it. Just take it easy, man. Stop worrying so much whether you’ll make it into the finals. Kick back with some friends and some oat soda and whether you roll strikes or gutters, do your best to be true to yourself and others – that is to say, abide.

The name comes from the movie, "The Big Lebowski", but the philosophy goes beyond some cult movie fans.  It is a new adaptation of some older philosophy, like the Tao Te Ching.  No religious rituals, dogma, etc.  It is open to various beliefs (some are atheists, others believe in a god or three). It mostly boils down to takin' it easy, and "Yeah, well, that’s just like, you’re opinion, man”

Some great dudes in history include:
Jeffrey Lebowski
Lao Tzu (Tao Te Ching)
Jesus
Buddha
Gandhi
Bob Marley
John Lennin

I kinda dig this stuff... I suppose I've always been a Dudeist

813  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] The Marijuana Agenda on: September 08, 2016, 03:51:59 PM
it will cause a serious problem because of its side effect like hallucination

Marijuana is not a hallucinogen... stop with the uninformed propaganda

Conspiracy theories are clever, however this one as a single major flaw.

The legalization of marijuana is a decision that's VOTED ON BY THE PEOPLE!

So it's not the government that's deciding to legalize the drug, it's the community. So unless the community is trying to dumb themselves for the purpose of suppressing mutiny, which is highly unlikely, the reason marijuana is becoming legal is because people want to be able to smoke weed without criminal consequence.

The government is the one with the conspiracy... they are keeping marijuana illegal, and in schedule 1, against all evidence... it's a conspiracy to keep the drug illegal because cops... cops "smell marijuana", and can then search a vehicle/person without probable cause

Half of the people in American prisons are there for marijuana (private, for-profit prisons)

$Billions$ of dollars are seized every year as "drug money"... even when there is zero evidence of such:
http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/21/us/asset-seizures/
https://priceonomics.com/how-police-officers-seize-cash-from-innocent/

in 2010, government seized $2.5 billion in assets from criminals and innocent owners by forfeiture methods

So i seen more than one user in the Altcoin section mention this "agenda".
It got me wondering just how many people out there believe this theory.
What theory ?

Well, i will let the "truthers" explain it to you..

Why do you think marijuana laws are being relaxed all over?  To dull our brains and suppress ideas of mutiny.  It's not because tptb are sick of fighting a doomed-to-fail war on drugs.   I'm with you my friend.   Screw banks and govt control of money, viva le bitcoin.

I hear this is going to be a topic in season 3 of the TV show "Conspiracy Theory With Jesse Ventura"  Cheesy

It's called understanding the facts...

Cannabis is a schedule 1 controlled substance... there are 3 requirements to be in schedule 1:
A) The drug or other substance has a high potential for abuse.
B) The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.
C) There is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision.

In the case of cannabis (marijuana/weed/pot), you could maybe argue that it has a high potential for abuse, but there is definitely accepted medical treatment (glaucoma, epilepsy, cancer, etc), and there is certainly safety without requiring medical supervision of its use

The DEA will argue that cannabis is as dangerous as heroin... Schedule 1 drugs include:
DMT, GHB (date rape drug), heroin, LSD, marijuana, MDMA, peyote, shrooms

One of these things is not like the other...

I hate the hypocrisy of religion...

Quote from: Matthew 7:13-14
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Wow! Congratulations! You finally threw away your hypocrisy, and acknowledged that Atheism is a religion. I almost can't believe it.

Do you ever get tired of being an idiot?

I get tired of trying to educate you

the us constitution and bill of rights have no equivalent in the world

That's the type of uninformed nationalist propaganda that will get me to stop reading at the first sentence

Every country has rights...

This is equivalent to saying that religion invented morality...

Every generation builds upon the strengths and weaknesses of the previous generation (hopefully)... the us constitution and bill of rights are not unique, nor are they a uniquely American idea... ever heard of the Magna Carta?
819  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pentagon audit reveals $6.5 Trillion in fraudulent accounting on: September 04, 2016, 09:41:25 AM
Where did the plane hit the Pentagon ?

It struck the Pentagon in the wing which was "under construction"...

Thousands of people were not at their desks...

It was the only section of the Pentagon where overhead sprinklers had been installed (literally days before the plane hit)

The construction involved making the building safer against a terrorist attack...

There was also a "simulation" that day involving a hijacked plane being flown into a building...

Whole lotta "coincidences" if you ask me
820  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: September 03, 2016, 05:11:59 PM
Who said that atheists hate religion ?! I believe in God, but I rarely attend Church. I know atheists who are loyal to the people of faith and religion in general.

I get tired of hearing all the nonsense...

I went to visit family a week ago... and every hour someone would mention god... "god will give him what he deserves"... "I hope god teaches that guy a lesson"... "At least we are going to heaven, unlike that guy"... "god blessed me with ..."

It's all a bunch of, "I'm better than you because I believe in fairy tales"... and it's quite annoying to hear constantly
