801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The psychology of stoploss on: October 10, 2021, 09:02:48 AM
I've started using alerts instead of a stop loss because people keep mentioning about market manipulation on exchanges and I've been trying to protect myself against that more recently. I'm also one for setting a stop loss that isn't too far away from where the price will rebound up and fulfill my take profit so that's another reason against setting one - though I should probably just set it where I think it's really unlikely to get triggered.
+1
It's what I am doing too, I am using multiple alerts on certain rises and falls because the market is sometimes so manipulative that it falls and immediately rebounds. If you are a long-term trader and don't open short contracts on futures trading + trade with more matured coins, then I think alerts will meet your case.

But when you trade frequently, I think it's better to set stop-loss and use it anyway, it's better than to regret. Sometimes the loss will rebound immediately and sometimes it may take weeks.

But if you use leverage trading, stop-loss is mandatory in absolutely any case since it's a very, very risky the higher the leverage gets.
802  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: October 09, 2021, 09:21:13 PM
Criteria used to rate a book.

1. Security - getting paid is by far most important.

2. Working with the forum. This is a player's thread and books are held responsible for their actions. Questions are asked of books concerning number of employees, time in business, experience, poster problems, etc. If a book is going to ignore a player's thread, they will be severely downgraded. Most books are very easy to work with.

The following cannot be quantified as to importance since being highly detrimental in one category may supersede other criteria used.

3. Poster review - poster review is much more important at bitcointalk than other forums, but other forums are also read. A high review from a new book will weigh less than the review of a book that's been in existence 2+ years.

4. Anonymous - one of the reasons that bitcoin books are used is to stay anonymous. There may be times where it is necessary to question players but it should be a minimum.

5. Margins - If players are going to have a chance to beat a book the margins have to be tight enough to give us that chance. If the margins are larger than -110 (1.91) that's a big blow to a book's rating.

6. Payout speed - If the average is longer than one hour, a book will be downgraded. One hour is sufficient due to possible grading errors. A large book is dealing with a significant amount of money along with a huge player base.

7. Markets - The more betting options, the better.

8. Traffic  - time in business along with amount of players that a book has gives us a large sample size.

9. Currencies used - It's easier on the player if we are allowed to deposit and withdraw from alts.

Miscellaneous - Books accepting fiat currencies are omitted from the guide. Other forums are read to make sure the ratings here aren't significantly out of line with the average of other books.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There was an exception made for Sportsbet. Because of multiple poster requests and the fact that Sportsbet can keep balances in BTC, a rating was put up.

I think you should definitely post the criteria on main page because without digging this thread to find this post, it will be hard for other members to understand the criterias. I was at first amazed when I saw sportsbook in C class because it's one of the most trusted sportsbook right now.
I still think that it doesn't have a place where there are stake, bitsler, fj and similar casinos because sportsbet is on another level compared to them in sportsbook business.
Also, FortuneJack asks you to at least 2x wager your money in order to withdraw, so, idk why it isn't below C (but it's not high risk casino at the same time). I think this list and criterias need some modification and I'll may take my part in it if you don't mind.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all the money in the world entered the cryptocurrency market? on: October 09, 2021, 08:19:00 PM
This question has been on my mind at this times ..
Will we see the price of Bitcoin at fantastic prices? i'm talking about +1.000.000$ For 1 BTC
And then what will happen to the other currencies (ALTS) ?
Will this be a positive thing for cryptocurrency!
Or is there risks and negative things that will happen in this market?
Because eventually there is a chance that this will happen
I mean If Crypto-currencies win and become one of the foundations of the new economic system.
Not Today , Not Tomorrow ,But this will happen .
Think about it ! It will be a good opportunity if we invest a small amount and leave it to our grandchildren in the future Wink
How can all the money in this world enter into the cryptocurrencies? At first we need full/total adoption of informational technologies and securities on highest levels. Then, the money can't exist in decentralized way in a centralized world/government/society, otherwise it will be total anarchy and humans are kind of creatures that need leader, someone to control them.
Also, along with USD, there is Euro, GBP and other currencies. In overall, we can calculate the price of 1 bitcoin if all the money is put in it but if money is put in altcoins too along with bitcoin, we need to know ratio at first. But really, it's just impossible to predict because this task is very, very complex.
804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's sideways adjustment, can you still chase up and buy more now? on: October 09, 2021, 12:29:25 PM
The price is too high to consider buying, there will be at point where the price can drop even a bit or better wait till correction happens and invest in other coins, otger coins is able to pump too whenever bitcoin is. If you have Bitcoin saved now it will be enough to gain profit while it pumps. It’s quite risky to buy at this point but who knows what price of Bitcoin cam reach this year so buying still possible if we know we have money to invest with.
Bitcoin was worth $30 000 some weeks ago, that was a good price. If someone thinks that right now is a huge price to buy but at the same time missed the opportunity to buy it at 30K, then I think he/she doesn't need to trade and better to do other job. It's never too late to enter if you are trading daily. To my mind the market is very bullish and we will quickly surpass 60K. Just see, China doesn't have influence on market anymore, price is rising without the speculations of Elon Musk and his kind of persons. This means that the people have matured around this price and we won't see serious dumps at least this year.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM stolen in a liquior store on: October 09, 2021, 11:49:46 AM
https://twitter.com/scottbudman/status/1446540818316070917

This is the surveillance video of the liquor store itself, showing how they stole it.

Maybe this will be the new trend for criminals, breaking and stealing Bitcoin ATM across US.

Hopefully the public can help identify this crooks.
Why will it be a new trend? ATM is ATM, doesn't matter whether it's bitcoin ATM or Bank's ATM, there is money/cash in both of them. The person who made that tweet is just very shady by giving this fact such a name: Man choose Bitcoin's ATM over Cash ATM, that's just provocation and nothing more. Some people will come and say: Hey, you see, bitcoin is made for money laundering, just see people prefer to steal money from it over banks atm because bitcoin is made for money laundering, etc. Hope, this won't happen Smiley

The reality is: Thief just preferred to steal ATM where the most money was at the time of robbing Cheesy
806  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfair like cryptobetting sites on: October 09, 2021, 10:15:57 AM
Back in the days Betfair was allowed in my country I used to do a lot of sportsbook bet trading but since it has been forbidden I haven't found any other real good alternatives. I was wondering if any of you guys know any Sports bet trading crypto site similar to Betfair?
Betfair is owned by Paddy Power. Also, Paddy Power owns some casinos in different countries, some of them you may don't even know. There are many brands under the ownership of Paddy Power and check them. Also, I want to include the link of mergers and acquisitions in the gambling industry and use this list to find paddy power owned casino. Here is the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mergers_and_acquisitions_in_online_gambling

On another hand, similar good casinos in crypto industry are:
1. Stake.com
2. Sportsbet.io
3. Bitcasino.io
4. Playbetr.com <-- is a new but they have partnered with PSG
807  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dewvpn is good ? on: October 09, 2021, 09:14:04 AM
As I see from their FAQ, DewVPN works in a hybrid mode, I.E. combines traditional and P2P VPN technology.

Hmm. This "p2p vpn" looks really insecure.

Peer-To-Peer

The Services are based on a community powered (Peer-to-Peer) network, where users to pool together and route their internet connections through each other. That means the software may make use of the Internet, among other means by re-routing some of your requests through other peer users. Your free use of the software will in turn enable other devices using the Services to be re-routed through your device. From that users can help each other to make the internet free for all, by sharing their idle resources. By using the Services you consent to the use of your device in the described manner and agree that other users or services may use your network connection and resources. You represent that your entry into this Agreement and your use of the Services does not breach any contract, duty, law, regulation or right, and that if sharing your resources is not desirable or allowed in your case, you will not use the Services, or purchase the Premium Subscription to use the network but not to contribute resources to it.

From what I understand, someone could do nefarious things using my IP and that could be linked back to me. Furthermore, they did say "other users or services may use your network connection and resources" which means it's possible they would be using the CPU as well  Undecided
That's what I think to. Logically, p2p vpn should mean that the two person exchanges data. If I visit bitcointalk it may look like you visit this website and if you visit Google, it may look like I visited the google. But this kind of connection is far from the benefits of VPN, it can't be done that way, otherwise, you will be in serious trouble if you use p2p VPN. Imagine, you live in Germany and the peer you are connected with visits torrent and illegal streaming websites, you are f***d Cheesy
Btw according to DewVPN's FAQs: The Peer-to-Peer VPN architecture is more anonymous, secure and harder to block than the regular VPN services.
I think we need an answer from the most experienced users.
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No one talks about Sic Bo!? on: October 09, 2021, 08:41:29 AM
Usually, the most popular games are just very simple or exciting in live, that's why Dice, Blackjack, slots and other similar simple games are popular. Also, want to say that most of the casinos don't even offer Sic Bo games on their website but usually you can see that in live casino providers like Evolution and others. In evolution, there are really small number of sicbo games but they are still somehow popular (there are shared tables, I have never seen dedicated sicbo game).
809  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you explain the October pump? on: October 08, 2021, 11:20:55 PM
Most of the times sudden jumps and dumps without hot tweets/news/announcements are something unexplained. After all, market is controlled by whales and small traders are nothing compared to big traders. It's just easy to manipulate with the market when you own a lot of coins and can influence the market by your trading (On Binance you can see long/short positions of top traders that's separated from overall statistics).

As mentioned above, Cryptopanic is a go to when you want to get informed as soon as possible. Also, I would follow top influencers on twitter (like Elon Musk and others whose words can seriously affect the whole market).
810  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 08, 2021, 10:33:22 PM
Currently, there are many usd-based stablecoins such as, usdt, busd, usdc and maybe many others.  To be honest, I used to think that crypto would completely eliminate the usd's dominance of the world economy but I was wrong, it turns out that usd is now evolving to crypto (stablecoins).  What do you think, whether in the future bitcoin or other crypto can replace the role of currency in each country and leave fiat currencies such as usd, euro, yuan and others.
That will happen when you'll see the price of foods/drinks in groceries in bitcoins instead of USD. Now, if you go into market, you'll find 1 liter milk for $1, the day when you'll see it's price as 0.00001 satoshi, then you can feel happy and say that crypto has replaced the fiat. But that won't happen if you mean bitcoin in this case. None government will allow any currency to become major if they don't have total control on it. What do you think, USA accepting bitcoin instead of USD and people mining bitcoins in China and Europe? (well, not china right now) The government centralized cryptocurrencies may be the future but who knows... I wouldn't be so excited, current system/model works well for the government and is still innovative (VISA/Master cards, bank transfers...)

812  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: For All Of You That Still Think SMS For 2FA For Wallets Is Or Was Safe. on: October 04, 2021, 11:31:48 PM
It's not 100% safe and that has been proven but that doesn't mean that it's not better than nothing. I have also read back in 2018 that there was something wrong with PGP and it was crackable. Can't claim the actual title to be fair but remember that the article was stating that PGP isn't safe option.
We live in the era of IT and still we are new in it, it's full of surprises and will even be!

That's not the end! Can you remember how secure houses were decades ago? And can you remind how secure they are right now? There is a huge difference, right? At past you could burn any house, right now elite houses have superior protections. Again, it's not the end! Very sad but what's done, is done. 2FA is better than nothing, if someone hacks our account, I hugely, hugely doubt that that will be a person who had access on that company's database.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand? on: October 04, 2021, 10:44:28 PM
I have heard from friends that they used to try few casinos whenever they stayed in GOA. Goa is a well tourist place where people around the world would visit this place to spend their holiday. I am sure few here might have such experience. Besides this, I have seen people playing in London. But not sure if its legal or illegal in these places. Must be a legalized game there I suppose.
Bet365, William Hill, BetVictor and other top gambling websites are based in UK, so, yeah, gambling is legal there and UK is very successful in it. Also, there are some very famous gambling companies from it's neighbour country - Ireland, for example - Paddy Power that owns a lot of famous casinos in different country.

Btw places like the one that you mentioned exists in poor countries to gain more capital from tourists and boost their countries economics. There is one city Batumi near the Black Sea where people from Tourkey, Iran and other muslin countries come to gamble and have fun. The income from taxing of gambling companies is the highest one that fills the country's budget.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advanced settings for dice bets on: October 04, 2021, 10:09:51 PM
Setting a script on Dice doesn't work at all, I mean it does but only for a few rolls I think, the reason why is because the "roll" algorithm is random, meaning there's a thousands or even millions of combinations before you get the right setting to win in a profitable way for the long run. I've tried it before using a spare money but always didn't go well.
Do you mean that the nature of the script must match the nature of how the server generates hash/seeds on each bet? Did I understand correctly? On another hand - AI dice bot. You can test these kind of things on MyDiceBot since it allows you to simulate millions of dice bets in a seconds just to test your strategies.
Btw why do you think that there is a chance to win on long term? The more bet you do, the lesser your chance of win is. Yeah, I know that sounds curious but that's the math behind the dice. When there is 1% house edge set on the game, there is no way for you to win on long term.
815  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | 8 Years of Dicing | 90 Billion Bets | 113 BTC Jackpot! on: October 04, 2021, 09:38:29 PM
Promotions are drying up because they are focused on stake more now and understandably so because it has third part slots and sports and everything else, while PrimeDice, unfortunately, has become a dice only casino which used to be popular when gambling with crypto was new but now players seek for a casino with more options and better promotions.
Everyone knows about it and Primedice users are disappointed for this negligence. Beside the monthly bonus they has given pre and post monthly bonus on Stake. But PD user hasn't received their monthly bonus yet. We heard that monthly bonus will appear on next week. So there will be 40+ days difference since the August monthly bonus. Maybe they aren't focusing on Primedice much as it is based on dice game only. And gamblers are interested in Stake type casino now.

Yes it is really unfortunate, Primedice is having less promotions while Stake is like unstoppable in promotions. I'm checking the dedicated Primedice forum, VIP challenge was stopped on August for a break and now the only available regular promotion is the weekly $800 challenge. A huge difference now between Stake and Primedice almost in everything such as the number of online players. Primedice now has around 400-500 online players daily while Stake has 10-20x more.
Stake is really on another level. Before Stake, PD was on another level Smiley
PrimeDice team bought premium domain name (Stake.Com) and decided to built casino with lots of amazing casino products/games, that's why they abandoned PD at some point (it did gave them an amazing profit when dice was still a new thing). We still have PD because of just the old legendary name and the legendary past but PD isn't as abandoned as others think. Well, the traffic of this website is better than of Bitsler and Fortunejack. Alexa rank of PD is 28K while the alexa rank of FJ is 2x and Bitsler - 3x higher (higher the alexa rank, the less popular the website is on internet).
Btw the alexa rank of Stake.Com is 3.3K. That's really a great result!
816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $50,000 be the resistant price? on: October 04, 2021, 08:12:52 PM
Yeah, 50K is a resistance price right now. 1-2 weeks ago it was looking like the bitcoin market was bullish but somehow when it reached 50K, it significantly felt down. Then it was recovering and China did another shot again. Right now it's significantly recovering and will probably surpass 50K tonight but from my understanding 50K is the price some people don't want to see. Almost everything is done this way or another to just dump bitcoin and make it far from 50K USD.
But once it significantly surpass that level, there is nothing that will stop the further rise.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin? on: October 04, 2021, 07:18:04 PM
Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin?
Logically, it should look like a problem but in reality, that's the charm of bitcoin. Speculations and high volatility are linked with each-other (well, volatility alone sticks with bitcoin). This is the real reason why bitcoin is a popular investment option. Just see, one day you can wake up and see 20% growth on your invested capital. If you catch the good moment of fall and open short position in futures trading, even if there is 30% decline in bitcoin's price, you can wake up with 30% profit and even more bitcoins than before.

You want stable coins? There are USDT, BUSD and others. But they aren't popular in crypto world, so you know now.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is something wrong with cryptocurrencies? on: October 04, 2021, 02:50:56 PM
What would happen if everybody wants to exchange for a real money?
I consider it not fair to mine cryptocurrencies?
If it is so good why there is a need for exchange rate to the real money?
Why recently I needed to block about 30 phone numbers constantly calling me to invest money in cryptocurrency? Is it going to finish soon because of having probblems not to be fed this pyramide game with real money?
1. Such a thing won't happen, what you imagine right now is chaos and if anyone wants to exchange for a real money, then bitcoin will lose value.

2. Why is it unfair? Is it fair when the governments print tons of money and you have to pay that debt from your own pocket?

3. Right now, bitcoin isn't universal and the whole world doesn't use bitcoin. Fiat is a major and the most acceptable form of payment, that's the reason.

4. If someone called you on your phone number to invest money in cryptocurrencies, it has nothing to do with the bitcoin or the crypto world but those guys who called you are just scammers who work for scam companies and call you from different countries. They ask you to deposit money on their exchange and they'll do all the trading staff and bring you the constant high profit.

819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan to trade is a risky task on: October 04, 2021, 01:33:01 PM
Taking a loan to trade is really, really risky unless you have steady high profit and can pay that loan with it's interest even if you lose the whole capital. Why is it risky? Because the loan puts an additional pressure on you when you know that you have to pay some % every months. The factor that you want to at least keep the same capital or normally increase it, puts even more pressure on trader.

The number one rule in trading is: Don't hurry! Keep Patience! Did you miss one moment? Forget, use another one. Just use only good moments and that's all. Small profit is better than loss!
820  Economy / Economics / Will we see new ATH this year? on: October 04, 2021, 12:52:09 PM
This year was full of excitement, full of good things and full of the evil. We saw new ATH, we saw how one man manipulated the whole crypto market and we saw how one country fights it and how everyone wants to kill the bitcoin as an investment option because of its high volatility.

From the recent experience, every time we see bitcoin trying to surpass 50K and/or reach new all-time high, market somehow drops, if that doesn't happen then China tries to stop it's rise, every time it tries to stop bitcoin from surpassing 50K.

The fact is that the governments and/or other major financial sectors just don't want bitcoin to reach ATH again and they do everything for that but the bitcoin is still very, very bullish, like never before! What do you think, will we reach new ATH again despite a such resistance?
