821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 08, 2019, 07:22:27 PM
It's still raining and now the match has been called off. Sad that one complete match got washed away else India would have managed to win this one easily with Gayle getting out early. Still glad that they did not play less overs.
822  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware wallets OLED Display Vulnerability[Trezor One, Ledger Nano S/X, etc.] on: August 08, 2019, 07:16:07 PM

Yes, you are. Anyway, in Ledger's case, you don't have to worry about it when using a wallet normally. The only thing that theoretically could be obtained by an attacker is your PIN code. People who want to generate a new seed or restore the old one, should connect their wallets to a wall charger or use the built-in battery (Nano X). It's very unlikely that you will be targeted now. I would not worry about it.

Thanks! Even if they don't connect it to a wall charger, they should be safe as nobody has been hacked due to this vulnerability till now. With the upcoming update, this possibility also will be ruled out anyway.
823  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping thread with new announcement every hour? is this allowed? on: August 08, 2019, 06:40:51 PM
Bumping threads within 24 hours is not allowed on most (infact all except entertainment/news-related) forums so I don't think the member aware of this. He/she chose to be ignorant.

Some forums have the feature to group all updates made within 24 hours from the same user in the OP so all new messages posted within 24 hours are grouped in the same OP like this:

I have an update notification in Ledger live so will update it soon. They mentioned you need to use the USB that was tampered by the attacker so we aren't using that. I use the USB that came with the wallet and not any other USB cable so I am still safe right?
825  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-07] Binance Has Denied Information About Users Data Leak on: August 08, 2019, 06:09:37 PM
If the telegram group actually had pictures of users then the data is leaked and 2 users confirmed it so definitely it looks like some insider's job. Now they are negotiating deals with the hacker. Ridiculous!

Quote
“We would like to inform you that an unidentified individual has threatened and harassed us, demanding 300 BTC in exchange for withholding 10,000 photos that bear similarity to Binance KYC data. We are still investigating this case for legitimacy and relevancy.”

https://www.coindesk.com/a-bitcoin-extortion-gone-wrong-inside-binances-negotiations-with-its-kyc-hacker

Earlier money hacked and now data. Wonder how can we believe Binance now as nothing they say actually shows they can be trusted.

The hackers of the 4000+ are now using chipmixer to mix the coins.

Rain again ruined the game. It may reduce to 20 overs now and this will make it even more tough for India to even chase. Hope the game gets cancelled if they reduce it further as I don't want India to lose now. They should have chosen to bat first.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 08, 2019, 05:31:47 PM
I wanted this to be a 50 overs game but now it's reduced to 34. Today Lewis seems in a better form and Gayle is taking it easy.

Edit: Gayle gone...Looks like he took it too easy Cheesy

I think they could make 150-160 runs because more would make it tough for Indian players who start chasing in the last 10 overs.

The translation spreadsheet still doesn't have the link to my Hindi translated ANN thread. When will it be updated? I have posted both the bitcointalk and bitcoingarden ANN thread links.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Ethereum survive below 0.02 BTC per coin? on: August 08, 2019, 09:23:51 AM
Yes, as I bought ETH when it was 0.01 BTC (when the price was actually $10) and that time I had no hope of it ever increasing. Now it's still 0.0189 BTC which is approx $250 and it has been the same since months. IEOs promote the exchange rather than have any impact on ETH prices. EEA as well has appointed Ethereum's ED and this may also be beneficial for helping the price movements but I am happy that it's stable with USD rather than BTC.

ETH has several issues to address before it reaches BTC level like scalability issues which Ethereum 2.0 launching in 2020 will solve. I feel we still have time till then to see how ETH develops.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Pro Kabaddi League Discussion and updates on: August 07, 2019, 07:20:41 PM
Bengal is also catching up in the game as it has only played 4 games and is just 10 points less than the top most team while Jaipur, Delhi and Gujarat are all fighting for the max points place in the table. Yoddha and Tamil tied the match today while Patna seems to lose in their home ground too. They won the earlier seasons thrice and now seem the weakest.

The winners get 3 crores which is quite a low sum as IPL winners too get 20. It should be atleast half of it as these teams have to play much more matches than IPL teams and the matches have quite a good viewership in India.
831  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Beware: Blockchain.info phishing email on: August 07, 2019, 06:20:56 PM
I get such mails every week and they end up directly in the spam box which get deleted as well. As the emails of bitcointalk were compromised, hence many users (including me) are receiving such emails as nobody can guess that we are aware of blockchain and bitcoins. I receive PayPal login mails too and mails from exchanges.
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 06, 2019, 07:49:11 PM
After 2 wickets fell and with Sharma not there, I was a bit scared but glad they managed to get the runs and finishing it with a six. Kohli and Pant's partnership was extra ordinary today and they proved that they don't depend on Rohit alone. 3-0 :-D
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 06, 2019, 04:06:53 PM
2 wickets already fallen and knew that the team batting first are going to have trouble due to bad weather.

Edit: 3rd wicket fell of WI. Looks like another low scoring 90-100 runs match.

Why in the world do youngsters like Saini get carried away when they perform well? These kinds of players will probably never make it big in the Cricketing world thanks to their own stupidity. Lots of potential, but there isn't any point if you can't control your emotions.

Damn! He has barely debuted and turned out to be so aggressive. Virat too was aggressive when he started off but mostly abused the audience and once was fined too but for a newbie this is shocking. He should learn from Dhoni who knows how to control his emotions. In IPL this is common where once Kings XI players were abusing each other on the field.

Coming back to the match: It was raining 30 minutes ago so probably again this match would be either a low scoring one for the team who bats first or it would be left incomplete like day before yesterday :-(

835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 06, 2019, 10:14:57 AM
No matter who wins or loses but this test match was truly interesting where both teams were equally strong and where Australia batted badly in the first innings (except for Smith), England lacked a player like Smith and all 4 innings were completed where both teams managed to pick wickets (except again for the third one where England couldn't pick up all). Australia truly dominated the game wherein they bowled out England for 374 making them lead by 90 runs and then making a score of 397 and bowling out England.

Jofra Archer to replace Anderson it seems. Hope he proves useful for England.

Sad news: Dale Steyn retires from Test cricket. He had been among the best ever bowlers I've seen. He's still young and not that old to retire :-(
836  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Jammu & Kashmir Special Status (Article 370) Ends!! on: August 05, 2019, 05:33:09 PM
Was wodering what it has to do with cryptocurrency till I read the last line lol

BTW, saw Pakistani actors complaining about this decision.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 05, 2019, 04:53:14 PM
Yay! Smith finally won MoM Cheesy He played brilliantly and next was Lyon who kept taking wickets.

England must be cursing themselves for not taking Smith's wicket in the first innings else the case would have been different all together. They needed someone like smith to get them to a decent score but even Burns, Stokes and Woakes failed the team.

The non-deserving World cup champions have lost by 251 Runs.
The big margin of this defeat will further raise questions on England performance Wink

Worse is they lost in their own homeland. They still have 4 more chances to prove themselves and I hope we don't see such miserable performances from their batsmen.

838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 05, 2019, 02:08:17 PM
What a horrible performance on the last day. They don't seem to even make 150 at this point and now their loss will be by 250+ runs lol. Poor Woakes is left alone to bat and atleast he shouldn't give away strike to to Anderson so that he can get to 150. Lyon proved to be the lion of the game. He's eating away all the Eng batsmen :=P

Any site giving odds right now for the MoM, if so i would like to wage a bet on that now  Wink.

But you would need to bet before the match not at the end ROFL :=D

Edit: Woakes gone, match gone, England's unbeatable record gone and the loss is not small...251 runs Cheesy
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 05, 2019, 12:32:35 PM
Now England seem to be doubting the umpires every time when they get out and it's but natural. Everyone has lost their trust on them lol

Now they are playing so badly that even a score of 150-200 seems unreal. Now England's only hope is Stokes after which wickets will keep tumbling and Australia would win. Lyon has taken 3 wickets in each innings now and this time dangerous players.

Whatever is the result, MoM is fixed as of now and that's Smith lol
840  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges are starting to give users tools to fight fraud and money laundering on: August 05, 2019, 11:46:37 AM
AMLT token has been trading since a year now and I trust the project but still I don't see anything positive about exchanges complying with AML/KYC as inspite of making it mandatory, the Indian exchanges were forced to stop baking operations and still crypto is considered an easy way for money laundering. There are exchanges like bittrex who ask users for additional KYC (selfie, writing dates of pieces of paper) after submitting the required documents. Half of these either turn insolvent, get hacked or have problems because of which they shut down so what happens to our data then is unknown.

Buying fake documents from dark web is nothing new and people still operate bank accounts with such documents, let alone fooling exchanges. It's just a farce. Many use LBC to escape the hassle.
