Ah...i just did what was suggested..

setgenerate true 25

Now the CPU is maxing at 100%.

Next Noob Question ^^" :

Can maxing the CPU do damage to the computer....if u leave it like that for a certain time period, for example?

(sorry...this should be the last noob question ^^"")

You are thinking about it the wrong way. Mining by nature maxes equipment and pushes it to the limits. You must make peace with the fact that your equipment will break along the way and it is part of the package. Dont do stupid things like overclocking too much, or messing with voltages unless you know what you are doing. In general your equipment should not break too soon but expect failure and if a hard drive or a CPU breaks replace it and carry on.

Did I read something wrong or is the price now down 100x? Who is selling for 50 sats? Is this a scam r what?

That is still mystery who is behind this project and people don't about free money mostly asset on Waves is much trusted as compare with ETH. But who has believe in this project can buy at low price.

You are reading it wrong. That is a buy order at 50 sats not a sell order.

I'd like to load up my coins and try staking but still a bit spooked about the Virustotal reports.
Can anyone point me at a basic guide to setting up a local VM as have not done this before?

You can roughly follow these steps:

1. Download and install Oracle Virtual Machine (VirtualBox) and extensions
2. Decide on OS to run e.g. Windows 10 or Ubuntu 16.04
3. Make sure you have installation media and license if required for your guest OS
4. Run VM and create a local VDI and allocate memory and disk space
5. Install the guest OS from the media and patch it up
6. Spin up VM whenever needed.

I would recommend installing Ubuntu 16.04 as your guest OS. Then build Kek on it and run and stake. You could always get a Raspberry Pi and run it on the Pi. I built wallets for Pi.

It is a pity, did not expect the developers to go so, he did not get anything from the coin, why the development of the coin

Dev might have had an accident, or got sick ... doesn't look like a scam, just abandoned

I guess you still believe the dev might come back someday since you are wearing Picoin signature.
I hope you are right.

Haha, but I see a lot of picoin airdrop members have switched to deeponion coin as I did. Yupe, it is a bit poor that this great coin has been abandoned, it can be a good coin with large community.

yes, lots of people joined Picoin signature campaign. We do have a chance to become a decent project.
Maybe miracle will happen when devs come back some day. Grin

No this coins is dead. Just walk away.

I think that all the admin to manage weekly airdrops and related PMs got too much for the dev.

It is getting impossible to mine this. It is getting to the point of becoming really expensive if you want a chance to get a block. Any ideas of a price to see if it is worthwhile to mine at this diff?

Anyone selling?

Any updates @dev team? Are you in touch with cryptopia? or another exchange
Our schedule for exchange listing has not changed from our previous statement. Do not expect that to change. Listing after 9/2017 will plot an emission curve to near 5NNC per block reward creating greater demand. At current time our scheduled task have been meeting with fashion designer, visiting shoe manufacturing shops to build NicFit(sport and urban wear) brand to be bought using NNC. Design of GUI wallet, RFID development in blockchain, video production, casting, marketing and advertisement. We stay focus and committed to our original post vision of an eco system market built for NNC payment gateway and understand this is a long term vision. We are in no interest of pump and dump coin branding

In this "plan" of yours NNC is mentioned several times but NNT not once. I think it is because NNT is a dead horse and was just created as a diversion to trick people to get hold of their NNC. Why did you not give transparent information of your "plan" to the community before the "swap". Before the "swap" you painted a bleak picture of NNC and created NNT as a diversion so that people would rather choose to participate in the "swap" to at least get a few cents out to the Dollar. When people thought that NNC is dead and maybe NNT has a future (why else would you have created it people thought), suddenly you play your cards for NNC after you have collected so much NNC.

In the movie Pretty Woman, Richard Gere has his eyes on a company building ships. He arranges for the shipping company's government contracts to get "stuck" in red tape because he knows someone in the government's appropriations committee. He does that to paint a bleak picture of the shipping company's future to the owners of the company who needs the contracts to keep their company afloat. He then gets them to think that the shipping company has no future so that they are "forced" to sell to him to save their employees at least. If they sold to him, he would have a) cut up the company and sell off the pieces as he sees fit to make huge profits or b) perhaps arranged for the shipping contract to get "unstuck" once he had all the shares. Along came Julia Roberts that shows him that what he is doing is wrong and in the end he declares his bluff to the the shipping company's owners and decides to rather let the company's owners keep the company and he arranges for the contracts to become "unstuck" in government so that they can build ships together.

At least the movie had a happy ending.

I know the above is true because:

1) You are not willing to let the Waves platform verify you.
2) Since the fake trades happened on NNT to trick people to think there is interest in NNT, that market crashed and there are no real trades there. There has been a few fake trades everytime the issue is brought up and there will probably be a few fake trades again after this again for a day or so to "prove" me wrong.
3) You declare your real plans for NNC after the swap, hence my previous comments of all your secrecy but now I understand why.
This thread is about NNC and as previously stated we have NO plans to create a NNT bitcointalk thread or take part in any NNT forum. NNT block chain is self sufficient on waves block chain and require no development on our part leaving us free to focus in NNC. NNT is currently being issued to our Content Creative Partners who decide when and how much the are willing to sell.

Yeah right whatever. I forgot to the add the "content partners" into the story above. Obviously it makes sense that it is not you but the mysterious "content partners" that did the fake trades to get to the swap ratio.

In your post here you say NNT is distributed to your content partners. and they can sell whenever they want. In your previous post you said NNT was not yet distributed to those content partners. Which is it now is it distributed or not. Who then did the fake trades to determine the swap ratio if the NNT was not distributed to them yet. Can you list those "content partners" or is that a secret too?

830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: July 29, 2017, 10:43:19 PM
i am sure it will be huge dump of bitcoin cash

For sure, what I'm not sure about though is if it will survive and make a come back long term. Obviously it will never come close to bitcoin but it could end up being a good altcoin after the dump is complete.

I'm sure the big supporters of this coin, who will be catching all the dumps, will use their control of the supply to their advantage. Since the same supporters also control a large amount of BTC, I'm sure they will be able to manipulate the markets to reflect whatever agenda they desire. It is probably better to just hold off dumping so you don't hand over the coins and the power to a few individuals.

There is another possibility. Two dogs fight over a bone and a third runs away with it. If the BTC/BCC do too much in-fighting, another like Eth/Waves/Stratis/Neo or one of a few others alts could step in. I dont think anyone in both camps would want that.
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: July 29, 2017, 10:35:44 PM
I really have good faith in waves , and next days i will buy some to hold for a year or two. It is more capable than ethereum i think it will reach the market cap of ethereum in next year.

A lot of ICO are now starting on waves instead of ethereum, it will support the price but there is still a long way to go to catch up to ethereum in terms of market cap.

Reading about Eth hacks in the media is creating a negative perception of the Eth platform. Even if the hacks have nothing to do with Eth itself it is the perception that counts. On the other hand many of the tokens created on Waves are fake scams which in turn creates a negative perception of Waves. At least the Waves verification process is there and the devs have removed the names of non verified tokens it seems. You will have to search by name to find a non-verified token now and also know its address. If a dev launches on Waves and do not verify the token it is an instant red flag.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: July 29, 2017, 10:15:00 PM
Wow waves actually has more volume than Liqui does.  looool, I guess I don't feel bad about getting the 50/50 split during the crowdsale now

can i trade my ethMGO there or only wave?

I think the easy answer is no, but hopefully someone else more informed here can correct me if im wrong?
With waves recently integrating ethereum, it's likely they could handle eMGO.

This is how I understand it and please correct me if I am wrong:

It is not as if non-Waves tokens can exist on the Waves platform. A corresponding Waves token is created and then there is a gateway that takes the non-Waves token and gives the Waves token in return and performs a translation service.

I have a bag of pears. You have a bag of apples. There is a market for people that want to eat pears and I am the only one that can give you pears. You give me an apple that I put in my bag for apples and I take one of my pears and give it to you in the pear market and you sell to the people that want to eat pears. When you want an apple again then You give me a pear and I take the apple from my bag and give you the apple. I am a gateway.

Sometimes gateways can be slow to perform the translation services. The BTC gateway takes ages and using another common token just becomes too complicated. I dont think DEX is ready for arb via gateways. If you can have positions and balances already prepared in both exchanges then you can arb and do delayed balance resets, if you dont have to rely on the performance of gateways.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Agenda Tokens ~~~ WAVES + UBQ on: July 29, 2017, 12:31:35 PM
There is a total of 1bn tokens. The 700m on DEX is that the same 700m to be airdropped, because you will distribute 700m and you keep 300m? Lets say someone buys 1m, does the remainder then get distributed 1m each to only 699 people or less than 1m but still to 700 people? If it is the same coins and the unsold will be airdropped, the airdrop will probably occur then after the sale period ends.

Anyone at here can helps me this issue? I checked the price of MGO and see Waves Decentralized Exchange have good price than other exchange. But I can't find MGO in this exchange, is this exchange delisted MGO as Bittrex? I hope someone can helps me answer this question, thanks!

It is in DEX. Just look under Mobile Go Token with a greeen tickmark next to it.
Ok, I has been found it, but I have question how to send my MobileGo from MEW wallet to DEX? I don't see have MGO wallet for user in this exchange, or just can receive from distribuite of admin, is right?

You cannot do that. MyEtherWallet (MEW) is an Ethereum wallet. The tokens in the wallet were issued on the Eth chain. The version of the token on it for MobileGo (eMGO) is the Eth version. DEX on the otherhand is the distributed exchange exclusive to the Waves chain. All tokens traded on DEX ar tokens issued on the Waves chain. The version of MGO on waves is the Waves version (wMGO). The two chains are not compatible. The only way to trade non-Waves tokens on DEX is through a gateway between the other coin and a waves token. The devs did say that at some point they will make a tool to switch between the two chains but that is not in place yet.

Regarding the price difference, there will always be a difference in price between the exchanges until the devs build the gateway tool. Then normal market forces will quickly bring the prices in sync, especially if the ratio of 1:1 is programmed into the gateway.

Hey,
I wanted to install the wallet according to the instructions (https://github.com/biblepay/biblepay/blob/master/BuildBiblePay.txt), but it only works until I want to execute the autogen.sh file. Then an error says "./autogen.sh: 9: ./autogen.sh: autoreconf: not found" . I have linux mint 17.2.
Can someone help me please? What can be the mistake here?

Make sure you have installed the dependencies automake. Make sure you have the libtools, autoconf etc.

Please someone nice can explain me what's the point to have 2 MGO tokens : eMGO ( on Ether ) and MGO (on waves )
At this time, they're different ( it's a little confusing on exchange platforms ... ) .
I heard there is a service to shift from one to another but
with fees ....

Will they be someday equivalent ?

It is the best of both worlds on two great platforms. Once the functionality is there to send tokens between the two their price should get in sync.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: July 28, 2017, 09:32:27 PM
Hello,

I have a question that I have received 2 blocks but both shows different BiblePay address, so do I have to transfer them to my wallet address.
The address that is showing under the receiving option ?

Sorry its a noob question , but I could find on google.

A wallet is just a key, there is no "wallet address" exactly. The key can be used to generate addresses belonging to that key. Any BBP sent to any address generated with your key is added to your wallet balance.

Normally, when you mine a block a new address will be automatically generated using your key to receive the block reward. There's no need to condense these funds into a single address, the full balance of your wallet is usable as is.

You are probably thinking about a mnemonic wallet.

This wallet works different to a mnemonic wallet. A wallet is a database for storing private keys of public/private key pairs as well as transactions relating to those keys. When PoW coins generate a reward (like in this case) the reward is tied to the public key (address) and the private key to spend it is in your wallet. Each new block that you solve gets a new address. Your wallet later contains several private keys. The wallet adds up the coins in all your addresses of all the private keys you have control over in your wallet as a wallet total. With coin control you can move coins linked to specific addresses. You can move the coins to one address and consolidate or you can leave them in the separate addresses. In certain cases it is good to consolidate and in other cases it is not necessary. With this coin you do not need to consolidate. Just make sure you make a regular backup of your wallet. In the case of Proof of Stake coins it is sometimes good to consolidate if the staking rewards are based on percentages and the maturity time is long. It is not relevant here though so you can leave them as is. Sometimes when you sit with dust in many addresses, you can do a sweep that will collect everything and place them in one address for housekeeping purposes.

Lets look at it from another angle. Lets say you solved 10 blocks and you have 10 different addresses in your wallet. You can dump the 10 key pairs and import the private addresses into a new wallet and your coins will be there in their different addresses just as per the 1st wallet.

This is why a rich list is never really a rich list because only coins consolidated to one address will be at the top. Someone could have the most coins of all in his wallet but not feature in the top 10 or top 100 for that matter because all his individual addresses will be listed with their small number of coins that were received as block rewards. You will find the individual addresses of your wallet in the block explorer with their block rewards in them. There are ways and means to figure out which accounts are linked to others in a wallet to get a view of possible rich wallets through a process called taint analyses.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: July 28, 2017, 07:13:53 PM
Ill be waiting for another version built without any virus warning. Even if virustotal doesn't show any real threat, when I open the client I get warnings everywhere...

So sad because seems a new concept.

You can install it on Linux if you are concerned. If you want to mine, use a VPS and if you just want a wallet use a Raspberry Pi.

As long as there is a built in miner in the wallet there will be one or two "virus" warnings. This originated from the days when Bitcoin was mined with CPUs and malware was distributed to botnets to mine Bitcoin for the malware owner. Bitcoin mining wallets were then started to be flagged as a "virus". The only way to get rid of the warnings will be to remove the built in miner which actually defeats the purpose of a CPU minable coin. You will be waiting a long time.

I'm hearing Liqui's been hacked?  Anyone got any updated information on this to clear it up?

I heard a couple of accounts were compromised yesterday, so I moved all my MGO off the exchange onto my Nano Ledger (which I should have already done, but I was being lazy). Plus this way I'm not tempted to sell it Tongue

Very wise of you to move your tokens to a hardware wallet. Never ever leave any tokens online, except for when you want to sell or if you do a bit of day trading.
