8321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: February 15, 2019, 11:11:34 AM
The one-day price chart of DASH give me a strong hope that the coin will have big probability to reach the price range around 0.05 BTC per DASH soon.
This scenario has become bigger after the succesful locked-in of DIP3, then activation of DIP3 to come.
Next two weeks, lots of promising to come for DASH community.

Big technical evolution usually requires long period to invade into real life.
Let's look back at the Internet evolution.
Years after the bubble burst of dotcom, the Internet was actually changed the world.
I have the same belief on what's going on with blockchain technology on human civilization.
It has been a rumor since few years ago, I think around 2016 was that year when people has thought of it. But there's no validation that they really are going to adopt crypto and it's a very great thought if they will somewhere in the future.

Eventually, they will accept different types of crypto as payment gates.
Sooner or later, they have to accept crypto.
Even big corporation like Microsoft has shown the big attention on crypto.
Even if they don't accept crypto as payment option I am still happy that big corporations are slowly welcoming blockchain technology.

JP Morgan, after long period of spreading FUDs, also shown their big plans to launch their own altcoins later.
8324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BEET BEETLECOIN POW/POS/MASTERNODE COIN on: February 15, 2019, 01:51:30 AM
The developer, according to him, leads the request for a listing of kucoin, bit. cc thinks it would be better listing on binance; besides, they canceled the listing fee https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017664751-Binance-Listing-Fee-Update judging by the volumes, I think the realities will change
Kucoin is good choice, but I think that the txbit.io exchange is another good option for Bettlecoin.
Txbit.io is a young exchange, that developed by Solaris project.
More details on Solaris project are available there: https://masternodes.online/currencies/XLR/

The exchange: https://txbit.io/
[ANN] Txbit.io Exchange - Built and Based in the Netherlands
By now, listing fee is 1 BTC.
For an exchange like this the 1BTC fee is not that much.
8325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: February 15, 2019, 01:46:03 AM
I own 6GB cards in this case I can not mine GRIN, will it be that in the future we will have mining for 6GB and 4GB cards? thank you!
Me too.
I got same issues as yours because I have 4 rigs (6 AMD cards per rig), but I unfortunately can not mine Grin because those cards have only 4GB in memory.
I wish someday experts will release new mining tools which allow 4 GB memory cards can mine the coin officially, or release a guide on how to setup virtual memory to mine Grin with only 4 GB in memory.
For now, I have only one option, trading Grin coin on exchanges and try to accumulate as many Grin coins as possible.
8326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 15, 2019, 01:16:21 AM
Some year later, Crypto payment will beat PayPal on global scale.
I believe that it has not been too far from now.
When Lightning Network officially activated on Bitcoin network, BTC will be fast enough to use for daily expenses, but Ethereum, in any scenario, will be one of the best options, besides BTC.
+1 agree with you, very soon big companies will adopt digital currencies.
Actually Bitcoin changing the world, people still avoiding but everyone will move to blockchain from banks. It will take some time.
I believe there are websites like amazon that accept payment in BTC.

Hello all,

Today, I have a really good news for you all, especially low ranked members, in particular Members.
I joined the forum on November 08, 2017, 06:22:57 AM, more than one year ago, and I am a fully self-made Full Member.
As you all can see with texts below my avatar, my target for this year is ranking up to a Senior Member, a self-made Senior Member.
Fortunately, I have gone almost two-thirds of my journey and need only one-third part ot hit the finish line.

I have seen several sMerit give-away, some sorts of challenges, etc. and thought carefully about rules for my own topic.
Today, I started my own one.

I have both including and excluding criteria for participants:

1) Including Criteria:
- Currently are Members in the forum (Member rank).
- Fully English post-history.

2) Excluding Criteria:
- Having red trust. Any level of red trust/ any negative trust-point will be excluded. Applicants will be excluded at the start if they have red trust. For applicants got accepted, but get red trust later, will be excluded from my Watch List and don't have chance to get sMerits from me.
-  Promoting already known scam projects that warned by DT members or forum community.
- Having one-line posting habits. Those ones have such bad habits and apply in the topic, when discovered will be added into my blacklist, that I will never re-consider again.
- Having post history filled or dominated with Proof of Authentications, Proof of Works, and so on. (From Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Telegram campaigns).
- Complaining and asking for reasons why you don't get sMerits from me for your application.

RULES:
In order to receive sMerits from me as small rewards for your contributions in the forum, you should satisfy these following criteria:

(1) Composing good posts in a row, and pinpointing the best of yours.
How to do this:
  • If it is a post, simply leaving a link to your post
  • If it is a topic, please leaving both the hyperlink and title of your topic
For example:
Code:
[url=link to your topic]Your topic title[/url]

(2) Finding five good posts / topics of other forum users (not yours) that have not earn any merits and leaving links in the same way mentioned in [1]
(3) Practicing and maintaining good posting habits.
I will trace back applicants' post history to see how good their posting habits are as well as following and watching their posts after applying post in the topic. There is no fixed threshold on how many post before and after the applying post will be checked.

Application form
Please apply with the form below:

My best post/ topic: <link to your best post/ topic> (and topic's title when you apply a topic)
Constructive posts/ topics of other forum users:
(1)
(2)
(3)
(4)
(5)

REWARDS
2 sMerits for each qualified applicant.

More explanations (in Question/ Answer format):

Q - Why do you open the sMerits give-away for only Member rank?
A - In order to be promoted to Member to Full Member, 90 merit points required. It means such self-made Full Member will have to make a lot of efforts, real efforts, not pseudo-efforts. For someone who already self-made ranked up to Senior Members, they actually have enough knowledge, skills, and good posting habits to move further, and don't really need sMerits from my topic.

Q - Why do you check both before and after post-history (cut-off is on the applying post)?
A - To make sure that I don't give my sMerits to pseudo-constructive users.

Q - Why scam promoters are excluded?
A - When such scam-promoters ranked up higher, their posts might have bigger impacts (with better designed signature and animated avatars, etc.)

Q - Why do I have to find good posts/ topics of others to apply?
A - Three purposes: (1) This is one of the best way to contribute the the forum; (2) It help others and stimulate them to maintain their good constructive posting habits. (3) You, in turn, will make others happy.

Q - Why only English posters will be allowed to apply?
A - It's simply because I can not check your post history and its quality due to I only known English, beside my mother tongue, sorry.

Q - Will I have chance to re-apply?
A - Of course, you always can re-apply whenever the give-away been openned and you have not earn sMerits from the topic with your previous applications. However, please remember that you won't have another chance if you are shit-poster, applied and rejected. To sum up, please consider about your case before making your first application here.

This is not important so maybe that's the reason why I did not know about this.
What people are speculating is the Amazon will begin accepting BTC or ETH as a payment method, I think this is a bigger news if this will be happen.
Until now I'm still not losing my hope of this happening although knowing it's just a speculation, people would never speculate if there's no possibility.
Bitcoin might be the first one to be accepted on Amazon.
However, I don't think bitcoin is the best one, because bitcoin network got congested sometime.
No one knows when the BTC network will be logged, but no one want to wait for hours or days to pay their fees on Amazon.
It's ridiculous, definitely.
Therefore, I strongly believe that other coins, ETH, LTC, DASH, or even Dogecoin might be the better ones.
Fast transaction speed will be the most important thing to consider to add payment gates on Amazon.
8333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: February 14, 2019, 03:26:50 AM
To recap:
- Listing on Binance is good, if it will actually occur.
- However, it is not essential thing for Dogecoin.
- Without Binance, years since the start of Dogecoin, the coin has still been one of the most favorite coins in crypto.
- Without Binance, Dogecoin has still got massive demands that shown via its daily volume in total.
- Without Binance, Dogecoin has been globally accepted.

I signed my message yesterday and thought of it a little bit.
After all day long, I thought that it might be better (not sure about that, it is just my opinion) for forum users to sign their messages with at least four essential indicators of their accounts:
(1) Account name;
(2) Bitcoin address;
(3) Registered email for specific account.
(4) Date on which they sign message.

People tend to forget to sign message in which registered email included.
I suggest others should do that next time they sign message.

For instance:
Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
This is <your account name> from bitcointalk.org, id = <your id in the forum>,
my email is <your register email>, and today is <the day on which you sign message>
I would like to sign a message to as a proof of ownership for later use
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
<Your BTC address>
<Your signature>
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Specifically dedicated the position on the above corner at the right of the forum for a slogan, in which describe mission and vision of Bitcointalk forum.
Why not?

A ANN topic might be un-necessary, but a slogan is good, I think.
Something like this:

The OP raised a big question for the forum.
In fact, as LoyceV pinpointed out in previous post, theymos mentioned about it in 2017.
However, it is un-official statement on the forum's mission.

I suggest theymos to create a new topic, that specifically desribe forum's mission, then pin it in Meta board.
Such a pin topic on forum's mission will make lot of sense for new comers.
8339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW/MN] Gentarium (GTM) | Masternode hosting platform | Shared MN service on: February 13, 2019, 01:49:08 AM
Yes I agree, it now gives smaller guys a chance to stake and earn a share of the pie instead of just masternode holders and before people mining. Staking has always been a great way to earn some coins even with a small outlay. I can see GTM being a lot bigger in the next 6 months and by then staking can be very profitable.
Staking integration on Gentarium network, somehow and at somewhat extent will help to spread hashes out to small hands of stakers.
It is helpful to maintain to core value of crypto, keeping the network as decentralized as possible.
Staking also help to reduce potential unexpected side-effects on global environment.
Why?
Stakers can use VPS and masternode hosting services or staking pools to stake their coins and earn rewards. They don't need to have and operate mining rigs, that requires huge supply of electricty and potentially contribute significant green house gases.

Even when there is no problem with Bitcoin's or Ethereum's network (without network's congestions, I meant), I tend to use Dogecoin for my cross-exchange movements.
I have never experienced network congestion with Dogecoin.
I am not sure that over its long history, Dogecoin has experienced congestions or not.
Someone who have more time in the crypto, can confirm that.
I used Dogecoin for transfers between exchanges when the network Etherium was a big the cost of gas and problems with the network because Cryptokitties. In this regard, the Dogecoin is very profitable.

2 to 4 times per year. However, it seems right for most of altcoins, not only Dogecoin. LOL.

But as an asset Dogecoin interesting - one or two times a year it pump up.
