841  Other / Meta / Re: Self-moderated topics - nice feature or should it get banned? on: July 13, 2023, 07:54:23 PM
I have nothing against self-moderated topics on the forum, as long as the topic is clearly marked as such, and the rules of conduct are clearly stated. Self-moderated topics can significantly improve forum moderation and the fight against spammers. For example, when we report a post as off-topic spam, I imagine that the moderators have to spend a good amount of time deciding whether the report is justified and whether they should delete such a post. Self-moderated topics solve this problem, because in this case the decision rests with the creator of the topic.
842  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN APPEAL] UID: 1047338 / 2221175 on: July 13, 2023, 07:29:22 PM

WHY HEDGEFX SHOULD NOT BE BANNED Simply because HedgeFx registered his account and started posting on the forum long before P2Pfinder was banned. No intention to evade or circumvent the rules has been placed in the behavior of Hedgefx. If HedgeFx had wanted to evade the ban or break the rules, it would have been enough to choose another name instead of Hegdefx.

I do not think it matters in your case. If one of your accounts is banned, then all the others are automatically considered ban evaders—regardless of when they were created or which account was registered first. If your account has been banned due to plagiarism, I highly doubt that there will be any possibility of having your ban lifted.

I noticed that you use some third-party scripts and Google fonts on your site. From my perspective, I have concerns about the implications of such choices for a service that prioritizes user anonymity.
This is even secondary because it is only people that understands privacy who knows what google does behind the scene.
~

These things might seem secondary to the average user, but they should be privacy experts. They are running a crypto mixer, which should imply a higher level of online privacy awareness than the average person.

If they lack an understanding of privacy and are unaware of what Google does behind the scenes, then it would be unwise for anyone to use their crypto mixer services.

The primary things as link to the whitepaper and functionality of what they listed like Tether mixing is not functional.
They claimed to have spent 2yrs on the project but the project appears to be the one done hastily. And also their domain age does not support their claim.

Indeed, there are numerous red flags, particularly when the OP attempts to delete or conceal evidence of the topic instead of addressing people's concerns and inquiries. Such behavior raises further doubts and undermines trust in his intentions.
844  Other / Meta / Re: Addition of more forum boards/sections and modifications. Any need currently? on: July 12, 2023, 08:54:56 PM
Adding a "Cybersecurity and Privacy" board to the forum sounds like a good idea! We could have discussions about the latest threats, exchange helpful tips and resources, and ask questions to learn from one another. I cannot think of any downsides to this proposal.

Already replied on the other thread

Thanks! I was not aware that the issue had already been reported in other threads. I really hope that the CloudFlare problem gets resolved quickly because I would really hate if ninjastic.space go offline. Maybe theymos could consider making an exception for scrapers so they can access the site regardless of CloudFlare?
846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not decentralized on: July 09, 2023, 08:24:43 PM
Yes we will remain sticking to it but while knowing facts.

What facts are we talking about here? Because as far as I can see, you haven't mentioned any yet.
847  Other / Meta / Re: Forum having issues? on: July 09, 2023, 07:40:17 PM
I think it's clearly something to do with the database connection where insert function exists. It's inserting new data but then because of the error the browser keeps waiting until showing the timeout error.

In a forum script like this one, practically every time you load a page, it is gonna insert (or update) something in the database. It could be the count of post views, user activity, or any other data. I mean, it is possible that there is a problem with the database server, but it is impossible to tell for sure on our end.
848  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: July 09, 2023, 05:51:35 PM
Hey @TryNinja, just wanted to give you a heads up that your bot seems to have taken a break from scraping pages since yesterday. The last post it scraped was #62522464. Not sure if this has anything to do with the ongoing lag issue on bitcointalk, but thought you should know.
849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not decentralized on: July 09, 2023, 05:35:56 PM
Even if they didn't this concern means they have the power to it if they wish so the issue remains whether chip did that or not

Do you ever take a moment to actually read the words that are coming out of your keyboard? Even if they didn't, they somehow have this incredible power to do it anyway! Does that sound logical to you?

The funny thing is, even with all their power, they could not pull it off! And that right there is solid proof that Bitcoin is as decentralized as it gets.

Also, since you claim to be telling the facts, show me proof that ChipMixer was logging user data. (Not that it has anything to do with Bitcoin decentralization).
850  Other / Meta / Re: Forum having issues? on: July 09, 2023, 05:01:50 PM
Could it be that this has something to do with CloudFlare rather than the hosting server? Lately, I have been experiencing frequent CF antibot checks, way more than usual.
851  Economy / Reputation / Re: hugeblack made false accusations against me. on: July 08, 2023, 10:22:26 PM
hugeblack He says I hacked or bought this account. He also said that many posts have been deleted, suddenly merit distribution has been started.
~

You fight false accusations with evidence! Can you provide any proof that you are the original owner of the account?

I must admit, I have some serious doubts about your account. Upon reviewing its history, I am strongly convinced that you are not the original owner and it seems highly likely that this account was either bought or, even worse, hacked.

853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 08, 2023, 09:09:23 PM
I do not think gambling addiction has anything to do with the success of the gambler. It is a separate issue that often leads to compulsive behavior and affects individuals regardless of their success or failure in gambling. Sure, there are folks who may have a few wins here and there, or maybe they even go on a hot streak, but addiction does not really care about that. It is not just about the money – it is about the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling, even when it is tearing your life apart.
854  Economy / Economics / Re: What's is daily budgets or expenses as a bitcoiner? on: July 08, 2023, 08:56:39 PM
There's no daily budget as a Bitcoiner because non custodial wallet will not charge any fee, it's not like bank where they will charge monthly fee and any other charges which you wouldn't know.

A Bitcoiner just need to spend one time money to buy a hardware wallet, then your coins will be safe even though you not move it for a decade or more.

But hey, can bitcoiners spend their money too? Or is that not the case?

3 packs of cigarettes on an average of approximately $ 5,

You seem to be quite the smoker! By the way, where I live, $5 will only get you a single pack of cigarettes. Depending on the brand, some are even pricier than that!

And if you actually check any loan that was given to me was repayed.

Can you please provide some proof of your previous loans that you have paid off as you claim?

~
Anyway, if you can sign a message using the address you used for the loan form jorjito25 (or one you posted in an unedited message previous to that,) I'll remove my redtag.

Hahaha! That is a good one! I am absolutely positive that he will be able to do that.
856  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Cool mining set up that more miners should copy. on: July 07, 2023, 10:00:21 PM
I do not really see any significant advantage to this method, to be honest. Sure, it takes advantage of waste vegetable oil that would otherwise go to waste or harm the environment, but isn't burning oil even worse for the environment? On top of that, the actual effectiveness of such a generator is seriously up in the air.

In my book, a smarter approach would be to store that oil and put it to good use in a different way. How about using it to heat buildings or greenhouses during those chilly winter months? Not only would it be more eco-friendly, but it would also serve a practical purpose.
857  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 10$ loan repayment 11$ in 3 days. on: July 06, 2023, 10:30:26 PM
Since you already have negative trust on your profile, you really have nothing to lose. Your accountis useless anyway. On the flip side, the lender will end up losing $10 for nothing, as any trust coming from your account holds no value.

If you want to build trust in the community, come up with some kind of collateral for your loans.

Oh, absolutely! Spanish is such a beautiful language. Every time I hear it, it sounds like romantic poetry to me!

It's just a shame that I do not understand it.  Cry
859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 06, 2023, 10:02:56 PM
I intend on explaining it to her first then if she agrees I will pay for the Bitcoins she gets from customers

But in your first post, you mentioned that "Bitcoin investments in your country are not easy due to your currency value, and the government is not very supportive." So, if investing in Bitcoin is challenging in your country, how do you intend to buy bitcoins from your mother? Moreover, if your country does not support Bitcoin, it is unlikely that it's even legal for your mother to accept bitcoins as payment for her services.

If you have the funds, my suggestion would be to purchase BTC directly from a seller. It is best to respect your mother's wishes and not involve her in this service if she is not comfortable with it.

However you get my point but for the record you edited your post meaning you did not read through properly before replying always do read through to avoid unnecessary editings

No one is getting your point, and for the record you never mentioned a custodial wallet in your opening post. If you are talking to beginners, try to be clear about what you are saying, at least.
