InvestAnswers just said something I've been thinking about for a while.

Although paying off my mortgage is something I could do with the BTC gains he pointed out if you borrow against 2-3% it's really (almost) free money considering the massive inflation rate.
Michael Saylor has been talking about the near zero business loans also.
At least mortgages for individuals are still low, unlike ridiculous credit card rates.

Furthermore I believe BTC will go much higher.
A $1 million BTC and even $10 million BTC in the next 5-10-15 years will not surprise me. Well before my mortgage ends anyway.

Also, these free interest loans on furniture etc make sense since you will really pay less over the entire period rather than in 1 chunk today, again due to inflation.

For you, yes paying on a low interest mortgage while letting your bitcoin ride is probably the way to go for now.

But keep in mind, that you may still want to pay if off earlier than 30 years.

Here's why: Most people don't anticipate ever getting laid off (even once, much several times) and don't believe ageism is even a thing.

You really think that you'll stay employed for 30 years solidly straight with enough income (adjusted for insane inflation) to keep paying that mortgage every month/year and still have enough income left over to survive? You think that you'll be payed the same or more at 60 yrs of age, than you were making at 30? Think again. The time of 30 year careers is over. More like 15 at best, and then you have a career crisis.

Exactly. That's why I have a rule: Never ever get loans. Want a better car? Save money, invest in Bitcoin, whatever, until you can afford to pay the full amount. Want a better house and can't buy it? Stay at your current house until you can afford the better one. I don't want to have to pay back some bank for decades and being forever tied to them. The only loan I would consider getting is to buy a house if I didn't own a house. Fortunately I own my house. It's not the most luxurious house, but it's mine, and I don't owe anyone anything.

...and Bitcoin can greatly help do the above!

He was right. $640k per corn sure is enough for me.

You say that now...

Damn, you have a point there. Fugg!

Looking forward to this (this year, perhaps, perhaps?):

Bill Gates says 640k should be enough for anyone.

He was right. $640k per corn sure is enough for me.

proudhon:

Bitcoin will never reach $70k.
Confirmed by math & science.

Come on, Bitcoin, do something!

Cheesy post, but makes me feel GOOOD man!

Play this old gem loud. Really loud -- while it's pumping.  Grin

Currently only about $800 from ATH.

It really feels it's going to happen today.  Cool

Regarding the C65, there is a group re-releasing it. It is C64 backwards compatible and also has a 40mhz mode. Can also have other cores installed - Spectrum, Gameboy, and I think Amiga soon.

https://mega65.org/

Thanks for that link.

I've had an Amiga 500 and a 3000. By far the most exciting machines (esp. the 500) I've ever owned in my entire life.

I'm drooling to the thought of $500k / $3M corn prices...

Since I probably won't be online when we hit 65k I'm posting this now. Not many of these computers exist only prototypes.

That's nice. Never seen this machine before.

Looking forward to this (this year, perhaps, perhaps?):

So, we've had a tiny little euro ATH - Bitstamp 54267€. From east to west the ATH's are falling - Japan, Pakistan (poor Raja waiting for crash to 12k to rebuy from 50K, when he proud(hon)ly sold everything), Turkey (poor mindrust) and EU. Next is the $ ATH. This is the way.

Beware HoDLers! If you want to keep your sanity, do not -- I repeat -- DO NOT sell any moderate to large chunks of coin now. The imminent and inevitable mega-rise to stratospheric price levels, this year and the next, will make you want to kill yourself and will eventually transform you into a r0ach-like entity, trying desperately to make some sense out of your senseless decision, which will haunt you until you die. This is serious. It will mess you up badly, as it did mindrust (check out his latest posts to see what I mean).

I'll close with a #haiku that captures the essence of what I'm saying:

When you own Bitcoin,
Like Hotel Carolina,
You can NEVER leave!

Where did Proudhon the secret permabull went?

He was scienced to math by ATH.

We've come so close today - $ATH-3.4%, €ATH-0.5%. May be we are hours away from a new €ATH.

I concur.

Oh gawd... you are amazing.. if you do not say so ur lil selfie.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I know u guys love bitcoin. But it's flawed. U can't love math, it's just math. It's like loving a rock. Or those rock NFT jpgs. Smiley

You can love math. To say that you can't love math is tantamount to admitting you don't understand math.

Loans are for slaves.
Debt is modern form of slavery

Forcing someone to work for you isn't allowed, but paying someone to work for money so he doesn't starve is totally accepted.

There's a term for it: wage slavery.

Neurons refreshed! All is fine!

Off for a walk to breathe some fresh air... This is all...too much.

#tough_life

I'm quite curious as to your methods of neuron refreshening.

Quite simple, really. Just connect to your Trezor/whatever wallet you use, enter your passphrases or whatever protection you use, and view your cold storage balance. This should refresh your memory cells sufficiently to last another good few years.

Side-effect for HoDLers: you may get a throbbing erection too, by viewing the fiat equivalent amount.

OK. Time to refresh my neurons.

See, neurons are like dynamic RAM, you know, the little rectangular thingies inside our 'puters. They need to be refreshed constantly to keep dem datas intact, otherwise they forget and we get all sorts of BSODs and shit. And we don't want this to happen now, do we?

Sure, the brain can keep stuff for decades, but breaking $60k is serious shit. I wouldn't want to forget those important strings stored inside my head now, would I?

Can wealth be stored in the brain? You can be damned sure it can! Satoshi made it so.

People of WO! Let those currents flow through your synapses! Refresh your neurons now!
