Nurse must have some serious amnesia if she can't remember what a dollar is in 5 years time... 1. The amnesiac nurse. 2. The LN necessity (0.31 sat is not doable on-chain). 3. The missing Bitcoin symbol. Conclusion: the meme creator is useless...

mikeywith: silent but deadly. Pro tip: DO NOT let him write your name in his notebook. avatar-sized When I scaled down the original image for mikeywith's avatar, Light Yagami's eyes appeared to have no pupils. I tried to add the pupils by darkening the eye and at first blush it looked good. Seeing it in use, I realized it was not right. Light Yagami is not supposed to be a doe-eyed young boy and while no one complained about this, my OCD went into overdrive. It was cheaper to make the needed repair than to attend a therapy session This is a gift and a blessing, just as perfectionism is. You are lucky to have it, and you should cherish it. If more people in the world had it, the world would be a better place. Instead, the majority just don't care... Sadly...

Goodbye mindrust.
Welcome r0ach v2.0.
It's happened before. Will happen again. It's psychology 101. That's how the brain reacts to major catastrophic events. It's a safety mechanism, to protect the person from going insane. Doesn't always work.

I read mindrust's interview. Disappointing answers. My 13 y-o niece would give smarter and more mature answers (I have set her up with some BTC in her personal wallet, and she's loving it—sometimes she calls me to tell me about price pumps).
Pity... I thought mindrust was on a higher level than the sorry-ass answers he provided.
Unless it's all a kebab accident.

Got plenty of time, To make my poetry shine, In haikus that rhyme.
A rich man once said, "Make money while you're in bed." Bitcoin's what he meant.
Some bought it real cheap, Others bought the fucking dip, And HeDL strong through shit.
It saddened me though, That mindrust SoDL like a ho... "Don't know nuttin' bro?"
My advice to you, Be helpful and nice and cool. mindrust was a fool.
See, in these here parts, We chew gum and kick bad ass, While observing charts.
In closing I'd say, Thank you El Dude, thank you Jay. Have a great Sunday!

No need to protect Bitcoin from anyone. Fiat needs protection (and big fucking printers), not Bitcoin. See, Bitcoin's code is its protection (math & science). No points of failure found so far. Every time I hear someone saying "this could be bad for Bitcoin", I say "bring it on!" Where is jbreher? proudhon? r0ach? kwukduck? And where the fugg is mindrust? We’re hitting 6 digits next year, I’m certain of it.
Well, I'd bet on it with you, but we're on the same side... Mindrust has put a bullet through his brain for sure... to hard to bear this ATH parade while being a nocoiner ... Yeah... The only way to keep your sanity during Bitcoin's path to 6+ digits is the following (either, or): 1. You've never owned Bitcoin (most people). 2. You're a Bitcoin HoDLer (smart people). Having bought Bitcoin and subsequently sold it, is a sure path to insanity and/or suicide...

Re-posting from WO... Wow, congrats to LFC for the easy win (was practically guaranteed to win), and also respect to Bossian, for being a man of his word and paying up. I may have said some harsh words to you, Bossian, but your action shows honesty and good character. Lesson learnt: never bet against Bitcoin, or you'll be giving away your BTC to the smart guys!

I can tell anyone here, once you have enough bitcoin to buy a Lambo ten times over, not only will you *not* want one, you also realize that it would be huge mistake to buy one.
If I could afford to buy ten lambos for cash I will probably end up getting a Toyota or a Honda ... You could get a Corolla or even Camry or Civic depending on your tastes and have a lot of fun with it without worrying what you'll do for a few years down the road. I already have a Toyota, and loving it. I wouldn't go near a Lambo, even if you paid me. I hate this brand of cars. And, strangely (or not), I tend to dislike Lambo owners too. The few I've met were arrogant, ignorant, uneducated, "thick" types, that just wanted to show off their wealth. Not my type.

"Bitcoin moves nearly half a million dollars in value around the globe permissionlessly every second. It was never about transactions per second and coffee. It's all about value transacted per second and a new financial paradigm." https://twitter.com/Excellion/status/1333966283876954113Contains nice visualization comparing BTC to BCH, ETH, LTC, XRP.

"First they ignore you..."
More big players like Larry Fink will come. Michael Saylor was one of them too.
Hell, many of us were too! I was. Not like this, I always liked Bitcoin as a concept, an idea, an innovation. But I only bought 0.5 BTC for $110 in 2015, when I had fiat readily available to buy more than 400 BTC at that time. I only bought 0.5! Why? Because I was scared. Of course, all of the fiat I mentioned have now been fully converted to BTC, but spread over many years of buying and HoDLing, up to 2020. Result: I ended up with a fraction of the amount of coins I could now have. Same holds true for Saylor and the rest of the naysayers-turned-supporters.
Lesson learnt: early bird gets the worm — got to be brave, to take risks, to not chicken out. I chickened out. Just like Saylor and many others.
The same will happen to many of the current newcomers who, again, will not buy as much as they can, because they're scared, or because "it's too expensive". And they will make a post similar to this in 5 years' time. Rinse & repeat.

Anti LGBT politician escaping a drug, 25 men gang bang party through window/roof hatch when police arrives What will his wife a Constitutional Court judge say when he gets home? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN77Pr5h0eccoming soon: Divorced, sued, f*cked. Maybe not in this particular order btw.: have you read about the "fine" €25 for each "partycipant" and €75 for the host (for not following covid orders) Equality, right? But remember: Some are more equal than others
Very cheap. Think of it as an entry ticket to the party. A good encouragement for other groups to hold parties. Nice!

Regarding frugality: once you go frugal, it is difficult to come back...everything looks darn expensive, causing buyer's remorse. On the other hand, giving descendants a 50-100 year rein in luxury-why bother? Nothing productive comes out of it, typically.
As for how much to pass on to your kids, Warren Buffett once offered a good rule of thumb: the perfect amount to leave to your kids, he told Fortune in 1986, is "enough money so that they would feel they could do anything, but not so much that they could do nothing." Source: CNBC Make It
