Synchronized now. Anyone else? At block 2159.

Yes. You can do a 'getblockhash [block number]' and it will give you the hash for that block. If others match the hash then you are all on the same chain.

Thought I would get some net in my portfolio but can't download wallet because the Netcoin foundation website is down. Does anyone have an alternate link?

Thanks.

This morning I tried to sync again, I'm stuck on block 1761 now for a few hours. 6 Active connections to the network as well. Go figure..
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uncensored FOR LIFE at only USD 4,00 directly on blockchain! on: August 11, 2015, 01:41:58 PM
Obviously this is misleading. You've posted about this in the section related to Bitcoin, however Qora is an altcoin.

We present you Qora, a second generation crypto-currency, a coin where all come together
This is so bad on many levels. Essentially you're asking me to buy Qora to be able to post on such a network. I would rather pay for a VPN to ensure freedom of speech.

Qora is supposed to be a decentralized forum on the blockchain so unable to be taken down. VPN is the entry point.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is horribly overpriced on: August 11, 2015, 01:33:32 PM
Its over priced right now. What you get is a text based wallet that has issues mining on windows and not much more. It looks like smart contracts are implemented since people are playing pyramid games already. You need Linux to make it work as far as I can tell. I haven't really looked for windows wallets since the launch date so maybe some things have changed.

My guess is it drops down to 10 cents or less. Looking forward to this so I can buy in.

The future of Ethereum is very promising. In one or two years this coin will likely be #2 on CMC. It will depend on how the devs perform and what they can do.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BeezerCoin | BEEZ | Scrypt | POS | Earn by Mining | POS=8% on: August 11, 2015, 01:23:22 AM
Please update your wallets to version 1.0.0.5 and delete all the contents of the .BeezerCoin folders except wallet.dat and BeezerCoin.coinf before restating.

Thanks

When I do this the resync gets stuck at block 1396. That dreaded block ..

I make these on the BBQ from time to time. They are called Chevapchichi to Slavic peoples and kababs to middle eastern peoples. There are a few ways to make them. My favourate is adding some cumin and coriander along with the rest of the spices. Beer is also a must to wash these down..

recipe - http://easteuropeanfood.about.com/od/sausages/r/cevapcici.htm

In the tylenol container on the right is hashish for smoking later.  Wink  After eating this tasty lunch. I think I may make a batch tonight, of the chevaps... not the hash.. thats all gone.  Cry

We need a block explorer.

Yeah, GnR is a great band. Love their version of Live and Let Die. I think its better than the original McCartney version.

As for firearms, they have all this shit you gotta do in Canada to get one so I never bothered. If I lived in the US where I could just go into any gun store and buy one I would probably have several... along with shallow graves on my land..

894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a small CPU farm, need inputs regarding choice of cpu. on: August 07, 2015, 03:47:59 PM
I found some numbers on the 5820K mining Magi.
http://cryptomining-blog.com/4491-cpu-mining-the-coin-magi-xmg-what-can-you-expect/

5820K seem pretty neat. The question is: Buy 2-3 more expensive cpus or go on several cheaper models and try to overclock them a bit.

If you want Magi what you do is build yourself some GPU rigs using Nvidia cards. I'm not sure if its the 750ti or not but there is a card out there that does most bang for the buck. Then mine the most profitable GPU coin, sell them and buy Magi. CPU mining can still be done with each GPU rig you build but I wouldn't bother with that shit, its just a waste of time and electricity.

895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BeezerCoin | BEEZ | Scrypt | POS | Earn by Mining | POS=8% on: August 07, 2015, 12:33:41 PM
Complete waste of time. 769 blocks gone. Might have a decent mining pool but coin making skills need work for sure.

Yep, dev can keep this. Running my miners costs money and I have now wasted 2 days mining this crud just to have it stripped away by a dev. Horsepucky.

Going back to mining real coins and ispaced can keep their precious coins.

What happened to you is called being on a fork. Dev didn't take anything from you. This happens sometimes when mining new coins, the trick is identifying it early.

Too much premine, no thanks.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BeezerCoin | BEEZ | Scrypt | POS | Earn by Mining | POS=8% on: August 04, 2015, 01:05:45 PM
I've been mining on your pool now for about 24 hours. In that time i managed to mine about 430 BEEZ with about 1.2Gh scrypt.

Everything about this coin is good with the exception of the amount. 50 million is too much. Your handing out 100/hour thats 2400/day. At that rate it will take 22 1/2 years to hand out the 20 mil. premine. I'm assuming the other 30 million coins will be generated with pos rewards right?

Easiest way to fix this is hand out 100 coins every 10 minutes, that reduces the distribution time to 4 1/2 years. Maybe increase the amount as well to get it down to 1 or 2 years... just thinking out loud here.

I also really like this idea. I switched my miners over to your pools. Lets see how this pans out...  Grin

899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IEC]IvugeoEvolutionCoin[SCRYPT][POW]Mobile wallet & faucet relased ! on: July 31, 2015, 07:54:31 PM
I have downloaded many wallets. Only after clean from virustotal plus mine. The ones the contain any even false positives I leave the coin and don't download the wallet. If the coin has an exchange and pool then thats good to. this is what I do and my 750Ti does just fine on a nice 95 hot and humid day.
Why take the chance on even a false positive coming alive. On other coin the dev his even able to hack the block chain thats scary.
There is latest virustotal scan .... https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/50f9301cd69780bd2718d82bf41f7db8a0d09e4a31ba34355439ec54292d3fcf/analysis/

Those are all false-positives. I have seen that hundreds of times now in wallets. This one is perfectly safe for use.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero no wallet update since 2014, FluffyPony deleting question about it on: July 31, 2015, 01:03:15 PM
That trolling attempt is pretty feeble. So you would have me believe that the Monero devs are no good because they haven't worked on the wallet? So fucking what, there are bigger fish to fry before the wallet comes out. They are fixing things in the backend where it counts. Not some fancy nice to look at wallet, that should be last on the list. As for development being slow, well what did you think? This is software development, things don't happen overnight. To be honest I like it this way. The price stays stable and allows me to buy more every day.
