881  Economy / Lending / Re: [W] 0.025BTC loan. 1 month. Repay 0.0275BTC on: June 26, 2023, 11:47:28 PM
OP, If you are looking to get some work done, the best place to post your request is in the Services section. The lending board might not be the most suitable spot for that.

Also, it would be helpful if you could provide more details about the type of services you are seeking. How do you expect someone to contact you if you haven't explained what kind of work it is? However, if you are not ready to offer payment, I do not know what you are expecting in return. While some of us are open to doing charitable work, we typically reserve it for noble causes. I have my doubts about whether your job qualifies as such, whatever it may be.

Regarding your loan request, it has already been clearly explained to you. The policy is simple: no collateral, no loan! This especially applies to newcomers.

~

If all of this is indeed true (although we are still lacking concrete evidence, so I will speak hypothetically), then your story becomes even more puzzling. If you genuinely are an honest person and not attempting any sort of scam here, and you find yourself in these "ridiculous situations," wouldn't it make more sense to seek help from your family, friends, or someone else close to you? These are the people who truly know you and trust that you will repay them. (I mean, they could always resort to leg-breaking... just a joke, of course.) Wouldn't that be a more logical step than asking for money from complete strangers on a forum?
882  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is considered good collateral these days? on: June 25, 2023, 03:25:33 PM
Even if you are an "established" person online and have a lot to lose if you don't keep a commitment made during a loan, is there nothing else as collateral other than real value like other cryptos?

The suitability of the loan and collateral depends on the risk/reward ratio and the purpose of the loan. If the loan is for a business-related venture, it might be worth considering alternative options such as seeking an angel investor rather than a traditional loan.

By the way, if you were truly an "established" person in this community, you might not even need collateral for relatively small amounts (like $900). Your name and reputation alone would serve as sufficient insurance. But since you are a newbie, that is out of the question in your case.
883  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is considered good collateral these days? on: June 25, 2023, 02:21:24 PM
Are any of these valid collateral options?

In my opinion, none of the items you have mentioned can be considered valid collateral for a loan. When granting a loan, lenders typically require collateral that holds significant value and can be easily liquidated and converted into money to recover the loan amount in case of default. Besides, offering some of these KYC accounts is probably even illegal and against the terms of service. (What is the point of a verified Loclbitcoins acc now anyway?)

Could the risk to lose a established newswebsite and anything connected to it and even your full personal details, a colleteral for serious people?

All that what you mentioned hold subjective value to their owners. Lenders generally look for assets that have objective market value. For example, "full personal details"... What use would that be to the lender?

Pls I believe my posts have been of quality I hope me application is granted so I can rank up 🥺🥺

I disagree. And, looking at the Trust summary from your profile, it seems I am not the only one.

LoyceV    2023-04-23    Reference    This looks like a chat bot spammer, don't waste your time interacting with it. He's spamming the tech boards with completely off-topic posts, because he has no idea what he's talking about.

And, I think LoyceV got a point there! Many of your responses are completely off-topic AI generated garbage.
885  Other / Meta / Re: Hiding your Profile name in Public place ? on: June 25, 2023, 09:52:21 AM
I agree to the reasons mentioned of it's rare time to visit my summary page so i don't mind to that but if you think its very important to hide those details you can add this add this line in the "try" block.
~

I think it should be noted that this will hide the details on all profile pages, not just your profile. I am not sure if there is a way to limit this to just the personal profile page.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet does this hash go to? on: June 25, 2023, 09:38:16 AM
you want to open that can of worms... then  what about my 10k which was stolen .... some people have short memories and biased perceptions i see...

That wallet was never yours to begin with, so please stop with your nonsense, as nobody stole anything from you.
https://twitter.com/tokenview2018/status/1595631118694260736

Also let me point out to you  what about the mixers condoned on here which is money laundering...

Get your facts straight. Crypto mixers and money laundering are not the same thing.

Pretty simple question.  The owner was running it for over 1 year and had lost the file hence why im asking for it.

Hold on a second, let me make sure I have got this right: The owner lost their precious wallet.dat file, and now you are out here on a public forum, reaching out to total strangers in the hopes that one of them magically stumbled upon it? Are we talking about misplaced car keys here or what? I must say, your sense of humor is quite something!

not here to discuss the morality over it...

Why not?
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet does this hash go to? on: June 24, 2023, 11:35:16 PM
No like the actual wallet.   i know its a core dat already.

What exactly do you mean by an "actual wallet"? Are you suggesting attempting to crack someone else's wallet.dat file?
Let me remind you that such an action would be classified as theft, as that wallet does not belong to you.

Can you provide a little tutorial on how to use the script? I doubt that everyone that will view your thread wll know how to run the code since it is not like your normal browser plugin that all you have to do is download it and watch it do the trick for ya.

You will need a userscript browser extension, such as Tampermonkey or Greasemonkey. You can find them in the official chrome web store or mozilla firefox extensions depending on which browser you use.

Or you can create your own extension, as described here:

890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Teacher and Classmates Labeling Bitcoin as a Ponzi Scheme or a Scam on: June 23, 2023, 05:15:16 PM
His father is probably right, your nephew should just stop discussing Bitcoin at his school. He does not need to go against his teacher's opinion no matter how right he is. Engaging in such discussions could potentially have a negative impact on his school grades, especially if the teacher takes it negatively. It is best to leave such discussions for a circle of people who understand better and are genuinely interested in the topic.
891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - what are we expecting for the rest of 2023? on: June 22, 2023, 10:43:39 PM
Personally, I am optimistic about the current situation. We have already seen two times this year where Bitcoin passed the 30k mark, and this marks the third significant rally. The first one was in January, with a rise from 16.5k to 23k, and the second took place in March, with an increase from 20k to 28k. Given these trends, I believe there is a good chance that we will hold the 30k level this time, and the next rally might even push us closer to 40k before the year ends. Who knows, maybe even more!
892  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's Bitcoin trust worthy on: June 22, 2023, 07:52:16 PM
It's Bitcoin trust worthy for investment? Cus have tried many platform but all failed and this my last hope... I was introduced into it.

Is Bitcoin trustworthy? Yes, absolutely!
Is Bitcoin worthy investment? That is up to you to decide. Bitcoin investments are not without risk. But never invest your money based on someone else's opinion.
Are the platforms trustworthy? It depends on the platform. While some platforms can be considered trustworthy, others may not meet the same standards.

The best thing you can do is to buy Bitcoin and store it yourself. That is the whole point - Bitcoin operates independently without the need for banks, intermediaries, custodians, or other platforms.

From other thread:

I see you are quite the expert in the field of crypto and investing... So how come you were so stupid to fall for the most basic scam?  Grin

It is more likely that you are just a troll looking for attention, and possibly even running some kind of scam yourself.

Trezor (and some other hardware wallets) has open source software, which means anyone can check exactly what it is doing inside.

Oh ok, i understand now, and i didn't know that before to buy it ...
But with the Hardware schematics and the open source firmware it's more easy for an hacker to find a breach, no?

I would say no. The open source concept has been around for decades, and it has proven to be a good solution. Since anyone can examine the code, it's easier to identify and fix bugs or security vulnerabilities. For example, the Linux operating system has become increasingly popular. Would you say that it is more or less secure than proprietary and closed-source software like Windows?

i heard that a lot of people have a Ledger Hardware Wallet ...

Yes, they do. Ledger has been one of the most popular hardware wallet choices for years. Things change… I have heard that many people today are opting for alternative solutions.

So now does my cryptos are more secure on the Ledger or on an Exchange?

It is kinda like trying to decide if you should keep your money in a safe that someone else might have access to, or give it to a stranger to hold onto. A tough choice.

How do people that doesn't use quotes or mentions notification bots browse this forum?

I like to use Ninjastic.space. All I do is enter my username in the search box, and voila! I can easily view all the posts where someone has mentioned me. I mean, the notification bot might be great too, but I am already accustomed to my own method.

Nice try, but such things can get you banned from here. Why try to be a fucking scammer when you can do so many nice things with your free time?

For everyone, be careful! OP is trying to trick you into downloading some shady software onto your computer.

As a hardware wallet, offering recovery service is a stupid idea. It totally dismisses the idea of storing your private key safely. Well, I'm using Ledger and Safepal for a quite long time now.

Ok, i will read it when enough time.
But what about if u don't subscribe/register to this "recovery service"

According to Ledger, they claim nothing changes for you, and your private keys should be safe inside the device. But we have lost trust in them because they lied before.

However, it's always better to use a secured and trusted one like Trezor. Who knows what Ledger is doing inside lol.

Who knows what Trezor is doing inside  Smiley

Trezor (and some other hardware wallets) has open source software, which means anyone can check exactly what it is doing inside.

As I said in my first reply, OP paid only 0.0002 BTC as withdrawal fee and is confusing the withdrawal fee with the with the fee displayed on block explorers which is the fee paid by Kraken to miners.

I see. I thought kraken charged a transaction fee on top of their fixed fees, but it looks like they do not. Thank you for the clarification!
