Don't know if its a test, or why anyone would pay to be elected to a Committee but

You have just been sent a personal message by NWO on Bitcoin Forum.

IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email.

The message they sent you was:

I accept NXT donations for my vote and my influence on others to vote for you.

Key word - donation.

Don't spam my inbox looking for votes if you are not prepared to give me a reason why I should vote for you. You mistakenly think I give any care to where Nxt goes. I have nothing to do with Nxt, so stop looking desperate spamming random accounts begging for votes. It isn't a good image on your character.

*POOF* There goes your spot. That backfired.

A donation for a vote is a bribe no matter how you play it.

You must be new to crypto, welcome to the wild west.

Move along son, your reputation is already down the drain. I don't need to waste my time bumping a nxt thread.

New to Crypto?  Coming from the guy who hasn't been here a year, please....son.

This was posted in main Nxt thread, might be a good guideline.

Smart Contracts used by Ethereum

http://www.actuss.com/doc/classes.html

Features

ACTUS Contract Calculator
4.1 Principal At Maturity (PAM)

The PAM contract type encompasses many common financial contracts. Most typical representative is the classical government bond. It also covers money market funds, fixed deposits and also all sorts of bullet type loans. Beyond simple fixed rate instruments it accommodates many complex variants such as variable rate instruments and instruments with capitalization.
Principal At Maturity Calculator
4.2 Annuity (ANN)

ANN contract type at its simplest form represents an annuity payment, where principle and interest are paid out over a specified period of time. Common mortgages in several countries follow this pattern. This contract type can represent fixed and variable rate annuities, also including grace period, irregular payments and so on.
Annuity Calculator
4.3 Stock (STK)

A STK contract represents a certain quantity of equity issued by a company.
Stock Calculator
4.4 Future (Futur)

A FUTURE is a standardized contract to buy or sell specified asset at a price agreed upon today with payment occurring at a specified future date. Underlying assets can be Bonds, stocks, commodities or FX rate related instruments. In ACTUS, a FUTUR is represented with a parent-child relationship, with the child being the underlying asset. Closely related to FUTURE is the margining process, which can be modeled in many facets.
Future Calculator
4.5 Swap (SWAP)

A SWAP is a derivative in which counterparties exchange cash flows of one party's financial instrument for those of the other party's financial instrument. In ACTUS, it is represented with a parent-child relationship having two children, which are basic CT’s (such as PAM or ANN). This method of combination of basic CT’s allows ACTUS to represent multiple other variants of swaps, an example being amortizing swaps.
Swap Calculator
4.6 Option (OPTNS)

An OPTION gives the holder the right to buy or sell an underlying asset for a given price (Strike) on or before a specified future date. In ACTUS, it is represented with a parent-child relationship, where the underlying child can be a Bond, stock, commodity or FX rate related instrument. All variants of call/put and American, Bermudan and European options are (or will be) supported in ACTUS.

883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT cross chain transaction 3M to 5M bounty on: March 04, 2014, 04:27:00 PM
Unless I hear otherwise, I will assume that Mr 47...88 wants NXT to be able to trade crypto to crypto within NXT.
Atomic crosschain is by definition NXT blockchain <-> BTC blockchain (or other pair).
It is not NXT blockchain <-> NXT AE <-> BTC blockchain.
If the first is impossible, please give the proof.

But wouldn't it be better for NXT that everythig goes through AE as hub...?

It might be better for Nxt holders, but this is about doing a first, xchain tx.

Maybe, we need to clarify something:

There is no such thing as a crosschain transaction. This is crosschain trading.

Yes, good to clarify that.  Would this be a good time to explore Nxt parallel block chain for this application?

Probably tomorrow (21.35 here) will be ok again - I just don't want we to rely on him because this is very important.
Unless the switch will come soon (end of week) so there is no point in making a new testnet.

Currently there are 2 guys working on it, one IT (he provides us with the server) and a programmer - the problem is with the programmer, so we need someone competent to talk directly (email, skype) with my IT guy!

sound like something from someone from the infrastructure team, is there someone willing to help here so we can go on with AE?

Hey guys, can someone else setup a testnet?
It is difficult for my friend to keep up maintaining it, he is changing jobs and is hell of a busy lately! Until Jean Luc makes the changes he said...

We need to address this ASAP!

Opticalc?  Also, did someone start a thread for the atomic x-chain bounty put up by our beloved stakeholder?
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 03, 2014, 06:25:11 PM
holycrap AUR just keeps on moving up

We should add AUR to the AE gateway.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 03, 2014, 05:54:59 PM
At what time the AE is launched?Huh

No planned yet.

Guys, is "Not enough funds" error still there?

Last time I used testnet, I had experienced an "insufficient funds" error when I

1. issued an asset
2. placed a sell order for my asset
3. cancelled the sell order for asset (funds returned to wallet)
4. tried to place another sell order for same asset
5. received "insufficient funds" error.

We should support this project if we are looking for another charity, they accept BTC, maybe Nxt?

Suggested NIP (Nxt Improvement Proposal)

Adding "meta information" to Arbitrary Messages.

As AMs are going to become a key communication tool for various other parts of the Nxt system (including NIPs themselves) I suggest that we decide on one of the two ways of providing minimal "meta" information for AMs.

This could be done in the following 2 ways:

1) Encode them as URIs (making it simple for web apps to handle different kinds of things).

or

2) Use the first x bits of the AM to indicate the type.

The advantage of 1 is the simplicity for web apps (i.e. no coding necessary) and the advantage of 2 is size (we only have 1000 bytes for an AM currently).

Which way we go is up to the community - but whichever way I would like to see then an NIP AM (which might just contain the hash of an NIP document - the document itself could be posted on forums or wherever else).

By having such information your "inbox" could automatically place messages in different folders and could also perhaps sound an "alert" according to the AM type received (e.g. we might expect to also have an "alert" AM a bit like Bitcoin alerts).

Great idea, especially since AM will be used as a reputation system in clients soon.

I made an easy page for hopefully most of the BCT threads: http://www.nxtcoins.nl/bitcointalk-threads/

There is more than enough activity outside of this thread, contrary what people may think.

Chances are I've missed some. If people who are involved in these could send me a PM, I'll add them. Smiley

Also:

I have made the current source code repository public:

https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/

Master branch is still 0.7.6, develop is 0.8.3 plus latest unreleased changes.

Awesome Smiley

My new homepage, thanks for doing that.

Plan for automated multisig gateway

Some of you have expressed concerns about NXT clones. The automated gateway builds on top of NXT, so we can get a significant advantage by keeping it proprietary for a little while. Say, three months before open sourcing.

It is of strategic importance for NXT to have gateways to all the popular cryptos out there. I will also be adding NXTcash support to the gateway and we dont have to wait for external releases. As soon as it tests out, we can go live.

There have been some suggestions that I make a business out of the gateways, but I see much more value being created by making it the NXT community's gateway. To that end, I will be authorizing NXTcommunityfunds to ensure that we can all benefit from a non-profit gateway for all the popular cryptos into NXT AE.

I need three independent and trustworthy server operators to install and run the gateway. You will have to promise not to release source code until approved to do so. The biggest task will probably be installing a couple dozen bitcoind forks.

I need web html person to make web interface for gateway. There is no need for people to have to compile a program just to get deposit address or change withdrawal address. Everyone is used to doing that from webpage. It does have to do local signing as we have to send AM to make gateway requests.

I also need somebody to write code for the equivalent of blockchain explorer, basically gateway transaction explorer. Correlating transactions, tracking balances, etc. [I could do this, but it is better if there are more people familiar with what the gateway is doing with AM]

I also would like to have somebody refactor the code. It is ~2500 lines of C code that uses no libraries other than curl. Everything else is custom code, it was just faster for me to write it from scratch than mess around with unfamiliar libraries.  I am sure my code can be improved.

Probably the most important, I need to hire Evil Bob. At least somebody who will do all sorts of Evil Bobness to the gateway.

After we are done with this project, NXT AE will have direct links to dozens of crypto wallets. All these cryptos will trade against NXT, making NXT the standard that the other coins are valued. We need to make sure the gateway code is secure before putting it into production. I will be setting aside 100000 NXT for a NDIC (nxt deposit insurance) fund, 10000 NXT per person and 100K max, for any gateway caused losses.

Please help us put some distance between us and the clones! Volunteers are most welcomed, but if you need some NXT to motivate you to participate, PM me and I will see what I can work out.

James

Bump for importance, if anyone can help with this, please contact James.

What is the feeling of everyone about integrating zerocoin into the NXT mainnet after testing?

Since we cant integrate C++ code into the NXT core, it would have to be put into the gateways and clients for peer validation. If we put NXTcash validation into NODEcoin also, we would get a large scale peer reviewed NXTcash. Essentially it would be a NXTcash blockchain on top of NXT that is enforced by NODEcoin. We might not have to store the large 30K proofs in the blockchain, not sure on this yet but there is a promising approach using gateway that could encapsulate the large proofs. I am hopeful that we will be able to submit to jean-luc and all Java set of mods to the NXT core that will support NXTcash. In March.

This technique could be expanded to add other blockchains that could be totally independent unto themselves, or be interwoven with NXT blockchain via gateway.

I used to think gateways were just boring deposit/withdrawal functionality. Now I am realizing that a gateway can be used to bridge the gap between a lot of things that are not NXT with NXT. By doing so, NXT gets effectively extended.

James

I think that's a great plan.  Also, thought you should check out http://opentransactions.org pertaining to DAC, pretty interesting stuff.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 01, 2014, 06:06:50 AM
I'm considering locking this thread on page 2100.  What are everyones' thoughts?

I don't want to interrupt communication, but I think we would make more progress if we were better organized.

Poll - https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=839
I didnt realize our progress was so slow...
I find it really convenient that everything NXT is here. If I have to keep going to many different places, there is a much larger chance that I will miss something.
Please dont kill this thread. Its cool. Its history.
All that would happen is that someone (me) will create a new thread, so it wont serve any purpose.

James

Locking this thread would be an absolutely terrible decision.  Aren't we all about the freedom to do what we want, why force people to a certain forum.  We are getting tons of stuff done here and other threads, leave it.

New version of my Nxt client online at http://nxtra.org/nxt-client/

Not sure if it's a client bug or AE bug.  I placed an Asset sell order, cancelled the order, Asset returned to my account, then went to place another sell order for same Asset and it says "Not enough funds or incorrect password"

And it is also workin on mobile, although not looking too good, yet.

Very nice job!! I would love to send some Nxt, but I am on mobile. I could send btc via blockchain, or fiat via paypal. There is a lon way to go for Nxt, but it looks promising!

mcjavar, this is still in testnet, so you can ask for testnxt here and try out the web client, do not use your real passphrase with the site.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg5430573#msg5430573

I know. What I wanted to say is that we need a webclient which is also usa le from mobile phone.

Oh I see, you were referring to sending Wesleyh some Nxt for his work.

Opticalc, would you be interested in running one of the three DAC gateways?

I can *probably* manage one..  may have to ask lots of questions though...

Great, if anyone else in interested in the DAC projects listed by James, please post.

@msin
You are organizational type, yes? Maybe you could manage automated gateway project? I want to add NXTcash to gateway instead of coordinating all the stuff from my post above.

James

Sure, I can help manage if you need me to.  In regards to server operators, what do you think about three separate hosted servers that one person can admin until code is released, assuming we will be on testnet.  Perhaps abctc.  Here is my suggestions for others:

I need web html person to make web interface for gateway
- Wesleyh

I also need somebody to write code for the equivalent of blockchain explorer, basically gateway transaction explorer.
- Nexern

I also would like to have somebody refactor the code.
- Zahlen

Probably the most important, I need to hire Evil Bob.  - Jesse James or CIYAM
