901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 23, 2023, 06:48:05 PM
^^ But I think Manny did the right thing though, moving up in weight winning 8 divisions and now he has become a legend. And could be in the argument for one of the best, GOAT in boxing. As let's say to Floyd's unblemished record, but if you have to compare him and Manny, what Pacman accomplished was greater as it hard to beat that record and maybe it will stand for many years that not even Inoue can break it if he wanted to. But fighting in the US, could really be good for Inoue's exposure and of course getting huge money as well.
He did the right thing because his promoter knows where the bigger market is, compared to Inoue, who can still make a lot of money even if he only fights in Japan. But it cannot be denied that he will make more if the fight is held in the USA. I don't know what their plan is, but right now, in terms of career development, Inoue is on the right path. Maybe next time he moves up in weight, he'll focus his fights in the US.

Exactly, US is the mecca of boxing, so it's better for Inoue to make his fights in the US and risk everything.
Of course, they are making as well good money in the US, but if you wanted to cement your legacy and chasing the biggest audience that will be the US of A.
But we can't do anything if his Japanese handlers are in their comfort in Japan.
There might be language barriers, but Top Rank is there to work with them.
Not sure how long is Inoue's contract though, maybe when he is on his last term with Top Rank, perhaps he will be fighting in the US.
But for now, he seems to not compromise his career and just steadily fighting in his home country.
902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Warning] Don't share your casino account! on: September 23, 2023, 06:31:30 PM
I agree that this could just be an attempt to your account and at this point everyone should be very careful as well.
We've seen some hacks recently on land based casinos or even to a reputable online casino as well.
Meaning everyone in the gambling world is being targeted for whatever reasons from certain entities.
Whether to used your account to launder or wash out their money.
The point is that we should just be very attentive going on as we don't want to fell victims from such groups.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: September 23, 2023, 01:28:16 PM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue

Being in the right frame of mind can be key and not just thinking in terms of intoxicants. If you are angry or feeling rushed, it can effect how you decide to play, especially in games like poker which can require the utmost patience. If you fall into tilted behavior during the game you should be able to identify it and pull back or simply decide that you will leave the game. Identifying how long you can gamble for without losing concentration is a good idea as well, if you think you're on a winning streak in your first 2 hours of play - it can be true - but then get tired and hand it all back plus extra, then the whole session was net negative, which can be damaging on your long term earning potential.

I believe it is never going to be a problem if people take 100% accountability and controls their own mind. First of all, people should understand that gambling is for crazy rich people. It is not a way of earning. Secondly, if you were losing, just don't do it. There are a lot of people who actually are good at it. They see their own cards and predict which card their opponent has looking at the moves they make. But not everyone is like that. A lot of people just put their money on the line and try to get some more money out of it without even knowing anything about gambling. if you are losing, just stop gambling. And if you are winning, are you actually at net positive?

I guess when we start gambling, we should have the right mind set.
But as a newbie, it's very difficult to do that, that's why majority feel into that deep coma of becoming an addicted gambler and can't get out.
It will really take a lot of psychological stimulus to quit, let's say you lose a job, or worst, family breaking up because of your addiction or suddenly you decided to change prioritized in life.
So very difficult and even if you stop, there could be tendencies as in other addiction for a relapse and then you go back to gambling again.
904  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn how scammers capitalise on a trending coin or token. Save your funds. on: September 22, 2023, 09:21:29 PM
What do we should do? Because when you joined the trend, project farmers scammed us. That's how trending will end up, and investors will lose their funds. I will suggest you don't just jump into trends. Make sure the projects are solid. It's just not about bot trending. Pepe also did well, so many Pepe tokens have been launched. That is almost dead, but Pepe is doing good. Those launch later, and investors lose funds there. Don't be greedy, because everyone can't catch the trend. If you are late, you will lose. Rather, I would avoid any investment in brand new projects.

Yes, this is so true, and if I'm not mistaken, since I joined crypto this has been one of the best method by scammers, jump on the latest hype.
They could even just create a fake website and imitate the original one and then some noobs investors might fall for the trick.
Or simply making a copy cat of the project, make exorbitant claims that it will be the next big thing and then they exit scam.
Hopefully, those newbies that might be reading this post, might think twice before jumping on the latest hype or craze because it could be that the scammers are behind this project.
905  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your opinion on the market. on: September 22, 2023, 09:04:41 PM

I saw this image from a telegram page. I don't know but thought it wise to bring it here to the forum. Maybe we can brainstorm discussion-wise based on individuals opinions. From the image as shown above what's your prediction on the direction of the market next move?  Feel free to express your opinion be you a professional or trading expert or not.

I don't think that we need to brainstorm it though, I'm no expert, but it seems that the price is going on a roller coaster ride.
Meaning, we are still in the bear market, we can't even break the $30,000 barrier again? So just expect that the market will go on a sideway pattern in short term.
So it could be this month, or maybe up to the end of the year.
But as others have said, since we are in the bear market, then still take advantage of the market, just continue to accumulate as much as you can.
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 22, 2023, 08:48:58 PM
Just like what Top Rank's did to Manny and now to Inoue. They have the blue print to make a good fighters to be great and legendary by careful match making. But just imagine if Manny doesn't have the power or the charisma he had in the ring, he wouldn't be that great though.

Inoue was already popular before he joined Top Rank. If I remember correctly, he only joined after he beat Donaire in their first fight. I thought that when he joined Top Rank, he would have more fights outside his country, but he still chose to fight in Japan rather than in the USA. I'm not sure if Inoue is making more money fighting in Japan or in the USA. How can Top Rank maximize the potential income?

The thing though with Top Rank is that they don't solely 100% promote Inoue, Ohashi Promotions from Japan also co-promotes.
So as much as we love to see Inoue fight in Japan, Top Rank's counterpart might have wanted for Inoue to stay in Japan as this is his hometown.
However, I think that it won't last that long, sooner or later Bob Arum will have to make Inoue fight in the US so that he will make a lot of money.
Perhaps if Inoue goes up again at 126 lbs and fight US fighters or at least champions for US or Mexico, then Inoue will have no choice but to travel to US.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 22, 2023, 08:23:55 PM
You have another option to stop gambling. You spend more time with your family and travel with your family.  And you will not be much interested in gambling and drinking and if you do this I believe your future will be very good and you will be able to get out of these two bad habits please try them and you will surely succeed after success this small Give a thank you to sister. 🙏

This is for all those who are addicted to gambling please everyone quit gambling look at your son or your father come back to good path your future will be very bright. 🥰

I want to learn a lot from you. Please keep me with you and let me learn a lot so that I can say in the future that some brothers helped me a lot because of this I am here today and I will honor you all my life. 🤌🤝👩‍💻

I would have to agree that family is one of the best option for gamblers to at least see and learn how to prioritized things. Specially if you have kids, you will have to think that you need to bring food in the table for them.
Hence, you can't just gamble all that money, and then go home while they are waiting for you.
At least for my case, it happened as well, when I will just play almost everyday in a landbase casinos, some days you win, some days you lose.
But at the end of the day, you will have to go home and see your family, and so you will have to change for the better and stop or at least lessen my gambling addiction back then.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: September 22, 2023, 08:05:04 PM
This fight is getting nearer, and for sure everyone is ready and waiting for this fight.
Although Charlo is a 3:1 underdog in this fight, I still haven't put my bet yet as I will be waiting till the last minute as I wanted to see the last weigh-in.
Anyone has pull the trigger for this fight yet?
The Over/Under is 10.5 rounds, I'm still seeing that this fight might go to distance, and in the judges hand by the odds are not very attractive for the Over though.
909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Decline Due to debt ceiling concern on: September 21, 2023, 09:15:23 PM
In short any negative news from the US will have a impact on the price?
Nevertheless, this is not new though, I mean we've seen a lot of financial news that is very negative that might put a dent on the price, or none at all.
So for me, that is the ecosystem mate, and we don't want to make things complicated here.
I mean what is there to examine about the debt ceiling that might really pull the price even further?
Maybe at the end of the month, we might go back to $27,000++?
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 21, 2023, 09:01:48 PM

Bivol I do agree that he seems to duck him, he doesn't want to fight him at 175 lbs because he is at a disadvantage basing on the result of the first fight. For Benavidez, Canelo says that he hasn't face anyone yet to be sort of worthy of Canelo's time so he just ignore him for the meantime.

However, it is just ironic though that he doesn't want to fight big fighters are 168 lbs - 175 lbs and yet goes for a super welterweight at best in Jermell Charlo and then have him to 2 weight class to fight him. So yeah, maybe at this point of his career, Canelo is looking for less risk but bigger rewards in terms of paycheck but not legacy.

Possible, as he knows that his time is already nearing to his retirement and to preserve your value in this line of business/sport you need to keep winning, less risk but fruitful money benefits, wise mindset from a fighter who bring lots of sale when making a fight, though not just for him but also for an opponent that he will deal his fight, sure profits just be inside sharing the ring with Canelo.

More on the money side as he already got his name on top, now he's just protecting what he needs to protect to keep his name up
and still gaining that hype in each fight that he may take.

He already knows that money will always follow him because he got his own country who will back him but he needed someone who also got a big name to make the equation more better and fit as that will generate him more profits compared if he will just have any fight against unknown boxers, like John Ryder for example who doesn't really ring a bell to any of our ears. I mean, it's quite obvious already since he's been cracked already and boxers will likely approach him to do the same thing.

Canelo has already had a huge contract in the past so I guess money won't be problem for him at this point.
It's the quality of opponents that he has face, when he try to step up and face Bivol at LHW it was a different story for him as he lost the fight.
And so they carefully chooses a opponent in John Ryder so that he can win and be like a tune up fight, but Ryder is very strong and was not intimated by Canelo.
Now actually faces a 154 lbs, who needs to jump to his weight class 2x, so again, careful planning as they are looking for Canelo to win again.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhang Vs Joyce II WBO Interim World Heavyweight Championship on: September 21, 2023, 08:33:26 PM

By the 1st round, we can already determine who will. If Zhang still wins this fight, he must deserve a title shot. How crazy would that sound that a Chinese HW becomes a champion in WBO? Only in this era.

I almost forgot this thread that I created on the Zhang - Joyce match yes, I agree with you most of the rematches just pick out where they left off in the first three rounds we can see if there's an improvement on Joyce and Zhang will still dominate the jabs, Zhang Jabs is very dominant on their first match I was in awe how that jabs went through Joyce faces.

Everyone was shocked by the outcome but more so in the first round when Zhang established his dominance.
Let's see if the first round will the like the first round of their first fight.

Could this fight turn out like Fury vs. Wilder? On paper, Joyce is the superior boxer, but the outcome of the first fight has added an element of unpredictability. With the odds now even, bettors who believe in Joyce's comeback have a good opportunity. A knockout is quite likely, which should also make the odds more enticing.

Joyce has the upper hand even in their first encounter. It was just Zhang's lucky day when the blood blocked his vision of Joyce causing him to receive more blows from Zhang.
If Joyce still loses for the 2nd time proving Zhang can damage, I sure will not know what excuse to say here. But still his bad luck day.

On records, Joyce has the KO power but I guess the experience counts as Zhang started his career way earlier than Joe.

Just to be fair with Zhang though, he did his jab in the first fight, and that's why Joyce has blood in his face because Zhang has a stiff jab and Joyce didn't try to avoid it.
He thought that he can just steamroll and take his shots but he was all wrong because it has power behind and maybe we can say that he underestimated the Chinese.
So it's very unpredictable in the first fight, but Joyce is trying to bounce back and put his name again for at least a title shot.
And with that, he should have learn his lessons from the first fight and make the necessary adjustments.

Regarding this subject matter though, here are some of the threads that might be related,

But I do agree that reading the casino's terms are really that important to us. And if it is not clear to us, maybe we ought to ask them or if we don't want any hassle then stick to the casinos that we have been playing for years.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 21, 2023, 08:02:00 PM

He should be the underdog. I would bet against anyone who thinks he could be the favorite on the betting sites. Just shoot me a PM.

There's no betting odds yes but this site below shows its early prediction of odds.

Prediction and Odds
[ Early Beta ]
After considering the both the fighters' stats and their performance patterns, the winning odds is calculated to be at 52-48 in favor of Takuma Inoue. Note, this is a very close margin, just barely better than a 50-50 case.

It makes sense, though, as Inoue is the champion, and the odds being very close are not surprising at all. As a fan, I just want to see a great fight, and I'm sure Jerwin is well-motivated to win because he wants to become a champion again. His last win against Wilner Soto is a statement that he has already recovered from two consecutive losses.

I like that odds in the beginning, meaning, it will be Jerwin Ancajas as a slight underdog.
So there could be value in our bets for Ancajas it, of course, it going to be change, but if he is the underdog, then ML will be a great bet already.
And as you have said, Ancajas is going to be motivated here, he knows what the feeling of being a champion already, and so he wants that respect again.
Although his opponent is not that good previously, still it's a moral boosting win for him.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: September 18, 2023, 12:46:56 PM

Shakur is a top-level which many had turned down fighting him, even Loma and Isaac Cruz but I think DLS can handle him. Though Santos can hurt with just jabs, he hasn't fought someone with skills like Shakur.

De Los Santos is younger with 1 loss, so losing another isn't as frightening as the first for him. He's got his run though but Shakur could stop him from picking up while he is still trying to climb up.
Its too unprofessional for some backer to back-out especially if there’s already a schedule of the fight, well if they are afraid of Shakur then better not to accept the offer in the place this. Anyway, this is still a good replacement and yes De Los Santos can bring a good fight with Shakur, there might be problem with his strategy of fighting, there’s still time to prepare though. Still looking for Shakur here to win the match, he’s really a good fighter.

It's all verbal if I'm not mistaken, when it was announced that a Martin vs Shakur was reach, there is no sign agreement yet, but just say Yes without any contract.
I'm not defending Martin, but there are boxers as well who ducked and for sure it will put a stigma on them, just like what Martin name is right now, synonyms of avoiding or ducking Shakur.

@BitcoinPanther - I'm not really sure if he can established his legacy, because it will take a lot from him to be able to win against Shakur as he will be too much for him.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: September 18, 2023, 12:05:27 PM
^ I don't think that Haney has power though, he hasn't proved anything, when he got the belts from Kambosos and Loma it's all decision.
But if we are talking about Regis, yeah, I do believed and we know that he has the power at 140 lbs as he face a lot of good opposition here and has 82% knockout ratio. After his lost to Josh Taylor, he had 4 fight winning streak either by KO/TKO.
So I do agree that this is going to be very hard for Haney, the only way I see him winning his by using his technical skills again and try to outsmart Regis and obviously, not to get caught by that power.
We're also curious if Regis Prograis just had an off-night during his last fight and if he is already past his prime. Devin Haney picked him over lineal champion Teofimo Lopez for a reason. But still, I am hoping that Regis will be back to his usual self and land those big bombs on Haney.

Yes, I do agree, most likely, as least from what I see, he might be just an off night for Regis against Zorilla. But we should give credit to Zorilla, although he goes down in round 3, but was able to go to distance.
And also maybe the clash of style itself, Zorilla adjusted and just give everything he had that's why at least one of the judges score for him in a close and narrow 114-113. But the 2 judges have it for Regis to win the WBC belt.
So I guess Regis can still the pull the trigger and give Haney a good fight.
916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's Legacy. Nour Protocol on: September 17, 2023, 08:53:48 PM
You all know that in 2018, only one, seemingly meaningless word, was posted from Satoshi's account: "nour".
All the media rushed to report that his account had been hacked.
I ask all of you: "do you really think that the email account of the greatest of cryptography that ever existed can be hacked so simply?" Do you really believe it or did someone have some doubts?

LOL, that was not Satoshi though, it's just another impersonator or someone just hacked his account and posted that cryptic message.
In any case, majority of Bitcoiners that Satoshi will not resurface, and as much as we want to, it's not going to happen.
Sorry to burst the bubble for you mate, and yes, it was hacked obviously.
Also there is one claimant to the Satoshi name, Craig Wright  Grin, which again, is just a fraudster.
917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold coin on: September 17, 2023, 08:21:56 PM
what would you do if you got money?
which coin do you prefer to hold for long-term or short term and what do you expect from your portfolio?
First of all it would be preferable to invest in a cryptocurrency that you can trust. My preference would be for Btc and Eth. My portfolio is mainly Ethereum. Ethereum was the first asset after Bitcoin in 2015 and is still active and in second place today. With the Ethereum 2.0 update, which has been in development for a long time, i think that the ease of use will be improved and the value of Ethereum will approach Bitcoin. It is also important to note that Ethereum is backed by big companies.
Bitcoin is the one and only cryptocurrency that has the best security and is totally decentralized with no central authorities behind, no team, no projects, and is operating totally independently without anyone having to make any changes to it or do anything, and you are comparing Bitcoin with Ethereum which is an alternative coin which isn't totally decentralized since there is a team, a creator, and developers that can always make any change they want in it.

So, I don't really see Ethereum going near Bitcoin or being able to cross its price, Ethereum will need a lot more than it is right now to be able to do that. Also, maybe you don't know, Ethereum 2.0 or the merge was done in September last year, and it isn't to be launched in the future.

Yes, Ethereum 2.0 is very different right now, it's so centralized that whales can control it, and it didn't even solved the issues of fees which is the complained of many users.
As compare to Bitcoin which is the prime mover, and despite some issues and challenge that it has face and still facing, it remain as the top crypto and just a couple of months, we will see the block halving, making it more scarce and the demand is going to be high.
So with that, there's no question in our mind that it is better to hold BTC. Nothing is wrong with other altcoins, you can buy them.
But at least 60% of your portfolio should include Bitcoin.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: September 17, 2023, 08:11:05 PM
So after Frank Martin has back out of the supposedly fight with Shakur Stevenson. Team Stevenson was able to secure another fighter in the division, ranked 5th in Edwin De Los Santos.

I think Edwin though is good and can give Shakur a good test at lightweight.

Here are highlights of Edwin and be the judge if he can compete with Shakur or not, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3kbEPhdUkY

Hopefully there will be no cancellations.

This De Los Santos looks good on paper I checked all his opponents and these are cherry-picked and easy fights so they can increase his knockout percentage but overall he brings nothing to the table for the boxing community to think that Shakur will be challenged.
Shakur is ripe to fight top-rated fighters in his division and in other weight classes Haney, Tank, or even Ryan Garcia will have a hard time figuring out how to beat Shakur.
The question in this fight is not if Shakur will win by knockout or decision, but rather in what round will Shakur knock out De Los Santos?
I'd like to believe many boxers are ducking Shakur with the many cancellations.

If I'm not mistaken, even Tank Davis doesn't mentioned Shakur as his possible opponents.
Shakur said that he respects Loma, offered him the biggest money so far, but they declined him.
And we all know how Frank Martin says yes, but then wanted a 50-50 split in purse which is not going to be given to him.
And so the only options is Delos Santos for know for Shakur as the top boxers all said no to win.
Maybe this fight will not go to distance as you have said, could be less than 10 rounds?
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 17, 2023, 02:57:35 PM
It's totally different though in the US specially in boxing since they have a lot of good fighters, and countries like Mexico, Puerto Rico or even Philippines really support their boxers no matter what.
So I do agree that Mexico is still behind Canelo even if others think that he is sliding down a bit, just like Manny Pacquaio during his reign.
There will be time that Father time will caught up with this legendary boxers, but still the fans and the whole nation will be behind them.
As for Crawford, he will have his die hard fans, just like what they show in the Spence fight.
And some of them might be keyboard warriors too. But we will have to wait what will be the results of Canelo vs Charlo fight first.
Manny Pacquiao will always be supported by Filipino people even though he will be fighting again a boxer like the Korean DK Yoo for entertainment. It's all about thanking him for all the medals and awards that he gave to us.
Canelo will have the same impact on the Mexican people. They don't really have much bullet left in both boxing and UFC with Grasso fighting this weekend. So, they will support every Mexican that will fight in popular rings like Canelo and Grasso.
Crawford will be the issue here since he showed more drama than acts. I think Canelo's camp will accept anything by now with Canelo thinking about retirement in 4 years. The only truth I could see is his camp will take advantage of his strength while he is not yet weak.
I don't see any drama though for Crawford, I mean he has been chasing big fights, specially Spence for many years and it's just that after his victory, they are still fans who can't accept him as pound for pound or at least the best welterweight.
And he is still chasing more legacy, looking for a Canelo fight that will really put his name above anyone.
He also has some beef to settle against Charlo, so he will be busy for the next 2 years looking for great fights and obviously for the money itself.
