I have an active position, where I have several loans open for. I close one loan. Now the loan is immediately re-loaned at the best rate available. I would expect that the position would be reduced by that amount instead?

Ente

How would this work? By issuing a market order? across both exchanges?
I like how the current system works. Unless you specifically sell your coins, a loan will be there to cover your position (assuming USD is available).

closing a loan =! closing a margin position

..that's what I thought would happen, and if I don't remember this wrong, was how it used to be some time ago.
Well, now that I know this behavior I will use it accordingly.

Sometimes my lendable balance will say, for example, $123.45. When I go to make a loan offer of $123.45, it will tell me I have an insufficient balance. If I make it $123.44, then it goes through.

+1 on this.
No biggie, but costs a few more clicks every other day.

edit:
The nicest way would be a "max" button which enters the whole available amount.

Gibt es dort freies WLAN oder sollte man seinen UMTS-Stick einpacken?

Alternativ kannst du mir auch dort deinen privkey geben, ich tätige die Transaktionen die du machen möchtest, dann gebe ich dir den privkey zurück.
;-)

Bis heute abend!

..still worryied about his wellbeing.

On another note, BKKCoins has too little trust ratings: three.

I don't know what's going on at BKKCoins' home. But I strongly feel his trust page doesn't reflect all that he did for us.
Let's change that now.

I'm pretty worried about BkkCoins as his disappearance seems so out of character. And he DID do a TON of amazing work on this project.

With that said, what do you expect to be added to his trust rating? I DON'T think he's a scammer at all. As already stated I'm worried about his well being. Yet I too have ordered items from him that I never received. I've sent a number of emails that have gone unanswered. By rights, I SHOULD be doing the community a "service" by stating so in his trust ratings. I haven't done that, because I DON'T feel it's in his character, and there must be extenuating circumstances.

Hmm, you guys are right, from this perspective (too).

I see that Chris vanished and left some contracts unfulfilled on his side. There are several people who did not receive what they paid for. He may owe a two- or three-digit sum of Bitcoins. This is (as far as I can see) fact.

However: I see Chris did a half-year-long project, where he spent close to all his spare time on it. He spent a lot of his personal money on it too. He neglected a lot of other people and things for this project. He put everything online to public domain from the beginning. Many users here would have made a lot more profit on this than him personally (if the whole Avalon situation did not occur).
I believe many users here don't know how much Chris invested here. For the community, for us.

In that light, the funds or goods Chris failed to deliver seem less dramatic to me. I am much more worried what actually happened that he doesn't show up here any more. Maybe there really is no point to worry about his trust rating. He either shows up again or not, that simple.
And, for the record, I may well be a top ten "victim" of his disappearance.

but its almost very thread why you posting on this you can create new one or what is reason for posting here

You're right, this is an old thread.
My reason is that GoWest manages the Bitcoin Bounty Ladder on http://www.thebitcointrader.com/2011/12/bitcoin-bounty-ladder.html, which I would like to be updated. A nice all-in-one-place list of the biggest websites working with Bitcoin.

Introducing the Bitcoin Bounty Ladder (see link, above).

If you can find a higher ranking site than any of the ones on the ladder, you will win the bounty associated with the new site's position on the ladder.

I encourage members of the community to donate to each of the bounties to make this interesting.  I've already seeded the rungs with 12 BTC of my own money.

Your donations will be held in a secure wallet until awarded.

Right, just click through, following the biggest transactions. It was only about 10-20 hops iirc.

I quit after 60 hops. Maybe I took a wrong turn at the beginning though.

Seriously, more than a few hops pretty much means nothing. At least not until you run it through some taint analysis, or do fancy networking graphs.

Hi Raphael,

thank you for all these detailed answers, much appreciated!

Yes I understand, and even for me it was a "hard" decision to make. But the idea here is to allow lenders to have a precise history of their loans to recalculate interests if they want. So the first step was to have loans that would keep the same amount all the time. So now, the system never increment or decrease a loan, it always add a new one or close and open a new smaller one. I know this means more data to manage, and for big traders like you it means more rows to read, but unfortunately lenders have to be able to really know what was going on with their funds so we have no choice. I hope this is ok.

Makes sense. As this was a designdecision, I'm all fine with that. Being able to sort all columns helps a lot here.

Especially now that the lending time is less important (when you do margin trading, the system don't look at lending time any more since the position never expires.

This one caught my eye.
This probably means that individual loans will eventually expire, but as long as at least one loan is active, no matter how small, the whole position stays up? The position size and calculated rate according to the sum of all left active loans?

Thank you for your support,

My text message bounced no reply from the number I have. If I have time this week I will try calling.

Thanks for trying.
By now I am somewhat worried as well.
There is just no scenario in my head which fits to this..

Hoffen wir mal, dass die Jungs schon seit Jahren goldene Wasserhähne haben ;-)
Das mit den maximalen 600k stimmt schon. Irgendjemand hat diese Adresse ausgebuddelt:
https://blockchain.info/charts/balance?timespan=all&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=1933phfhK3ZgFQNLGSDXvqCn32k2buXY8a

Das wären 111k, eine deutlich gesündere Summe.
Unabhängig von den 27k (vermutlich) geseizten Coins:
https://blockchain.info/charts/balance?address=1F1tAaz5x1HUXrCNLbtMDqcw6o5GNn4xqX

Soweit also unser schönes, neues, dezentrales Geld.
