Too soon to bend the rules - defaulters should pay the penalty; if you provide amnesty now, others will demand it later, and they will be right.
I agree.
Rules and rules, even for mafia.

I literally agree with this, I have been without personal devices for quite a while now, and I have had to be on restricted number of hours around the forum in the past week, but still there have been quite a huge improvement to the competition system, incentives, efforts and commitments put into this season from both the organizers and the sponsor that really should have sparked people into early submissions, and most importantly there was no borderline reason that could have warrant the acceptance of any late submission in my honest opinion, even by a second. @Trofo already helped with what could have been the most difficult question of the round for most non-researching participants (DOTA 2) with way more than 24 hours from the deadline, while the Tennis question that could have also been the reason for any potential late entry ended with well over 4 hours from the deadline as well, although 10 of 14 submissions could be understood to have had Ruud in their Tennis H2H answers, however the game ended way before the deadline, making the necessity of their late submissions inexcusable as they weren't on the fence here like it was for most of last season.

DOTA seems super easy or am I imagining there are big favorites in all the ties shown? Luckily they do not need waiting to submit.
The matchups became predictable because of the upsets on the last day of the group stage. We could've had more closer matchups if things went as expected, but the dogs came out to play.

It's too early to get cute, so I already shipped my answers. Hopefully, i'm lucky enough to avoid the upsets that might happen later today.  Roll Eyes

BOL to my opponent (Kanapka), and welcome to Division 2.  Wink

The match up look quite straight forward to make an informative prediction, it's likely going to be a one sided prediction for most of us, probably except for the DOTA 2 experts who can easily pick one or two potentials that could likely happen and since this a H2H question, its significance would be more about who and wo faces off with each at this stage of the season.

-------------------

My biggest reservation is about the tennis question, given the level of upsets in the past few ATP tournament, I really can't pick just players to comfortably go with, but I'll likely have either of Shelton or Hurkacz alongside my frst pick.

Livakovic made important saves in the first half of the match in Turkey as well. We have played matches against Croatia many times in the recent years. I hope that these two countries join Euro 2024 together.

By the way İsmail Yüksek's performance has been discussed a lot in Turkey. Has the Croatian media made comments on our players? I mean like individual performances and so on.

I don't think I was expecting a positive result from Croatia, I knew they've had their not so convincing results lately, although Turkey aren't on the best of form either, but Croatia were completely undermanned, so being able to restrict the score line to a very marginal one is something worth commending them for, imo.

I mean Koeln really is in trouble in all respects that the table has to offer.
And Köln's aspirations are way above Augsburg's aspirations, so I was very surprised as well to see Augsburg's coach getting sacked. Augsburg is our average relegation candidate, where it's absolutely not surprising to see them, where they are currently.
Maybe, behind the scenes, some more trouble was abrewing, specifically with coach Enrico Maaßen and Augsburg's loss against Darmstadt at home just was the last nail in the coffin for Enrico Maaßen.

I would agree that losing against Darmstadt 98 was the deal breaker for Augsburg coach, but ironically my prediction for the question is Darmstadt coach to get the boot first so, perhaps If Augsburg had won that game is there any possibility that a coach would have been sacked regardless but it would have been the opposite way, and that would have been 4 bonus points for me, but I guess we'll never.

I believe this question a really tough one, to answers and it's just pure luck not out of personal conviction, except if they are team you followed their game through the preseason and anticipate a struggle this much from them.

I'll definitely book my logo this weekend notblox1, I'm just way too tired and busy now to even think creatively.
That is why I am here, to think instead of you  Grin
I would gladly make something great for you, and I already have some ideas, just send me a message and answer few simple questions, after this I will add you on my waiting thinking list Wink
You can find all my questions here, and add anything extra you want to see or dont see in logo, when you send me PM:

What information you need for making my logo?
1. Choose your two main logo colors
2. Choose optional additional text YES or NO (united, city, anything...)
3. Your favorite sport?
4. Your favorite club?
5. Your favorite national team or country?

I am now working on logo for slaman29, and I am waiting for Harkorede to send me reply on message I sent him and answer on same questions.

Thanks a lot mate, I have replied your private message with the specific details, this competition is actually becoming very bigger than anyone could have anticipated and at such even more engaging to say the very least in terms of the thread's exposure, I'm sure season 3 can only get better with the plans that have already been put in place for it.

My team are already having the greatest preseason and are highly motivated for the new season, this time the league is coming home!

Any Arsenal fans around here? Any news about Saka?
From what I'm hearing he will be missing the internationals, but should not be a doubt after that.

_____________________________

I'm just looking at some stats, what a pick Jensen was at the start of the season. He's still selected by only 2% of players.
He was lucky with his goals, ok, but a return of 46 points from a 5mil player is incredible.

Saka was in contention to make the Man City's fixture so I'm sure being absent from international was just extra precaution imo, and he should be back after the break, however I'm keeping my tabs on Martinelli a lot, he came back with a very big energy, and that seem like something worth feeding off before the momentum drops.

I might take Haaland out too, but I'm just still looking for the best opportunity to take him out, and the next 5-6 games looks like the best time.

Next logos are coming soon, make sure to contact me and reserve your spot while they are hot.

I would love to get one mate, these are really nice set of logos to be honest.

If would prefer the team name to be "Flying Without Ings FC" if that's not going to be an issue, thanks in advance Cheesy

I like the late submission rule, and it meaning an automatic loss for the player, I however don't agree with the potential -4 points, that is the penalty points, I believe one should not lose more point than they can gain from a specific round, in that light I suggest that penalty points should be an independent entity on it's own, and not technically associated with a user accrued points in the league, for unforeseen circumstance beyond human decision anyone could miss a round, I mean even team Cro2 stands a chance of failing to have a question available for despite that never being the case due to their extreme professionalism.

Penalty points would be better off being independent like I aforementioned, just like the VAR, let's say the maximum number of penalty (warning) points every user can get per season is proportional in terms of %age to the number of fixture available to them for that season, perhaps a maximum of 2-3 penalty points before an automatic relegation consideration regardless of where the user finishes by the end of the season while the first person on the relegation table if consistent enough with their submission gets to stay another season in their current division.

My thought on penalties involving anything is if you don't line the penalty, don't do anything that will earn you a penalty. It's as simply as that. It may sound cruel but we have 48 hours to submit our answers. I think that all of us can find 5 minutes to just submit anything. No one is required to do the research if they don't have time.

Don't get me wrong, because I think you're and taking my post out of context, if there is anyone that missed any or get the least reminder, that would be me, but regardless I'm just pointing how I think things would be better going forward, and it's just a harmless opinion at that.

I'm not saying penalties shouldn't be handed out, and if you digest my post properly, I'm even suggesting a stiffer punishment (relegation) for it regardless of if the person finishes in a prized position, but if we are taking potential 4 points off a person on a penalty, we would be making the leaderboard highly fluctuating and doing the same thing we complained about for the majority of last season.

Speaking of VAR rules, did any club use all three trials last season? Nah? I used only 1/3 last season; is it possible to carry over the remaining two to next season?  Grin I hardly ever use it regardless, just a suggestion.

I like all of the new rules, but one that I would want to see admend in the future is the VAR rule;

If you've used up your three trails, each VAR you use after that will cost you -1 point.

I only used one VAR last season, and it was very close to end... I don't think a potential unlimited VAR would be very objective. I prefer the current one, but I'm in for whatever rules, I don't think I'll ever be affected by them anyways, I believe we are all just trying to make the competition near perfect as humanly possible and that's why everyone is throwing their 2 cents in, including myself!

I like the new late submission rules: losing 3 points instead of submitting late and still lose the game plus -1 point deduction for late submission (potentially 4 points).

Was there an exception when a late entrant defeated his opponent?  Grin

Palmer's presence at No.10 has lifted us slightly, and the attackers are finding their feet; we're heading in the right direction. A win against Arsenal after the international break will hit like crack.  Grin

Halaand price is falling this week! Non-Halaand owners you have a chance to get him

I don't think Pochettino is playing Cole Palmer as the team's No. 10, because If that's the case I would love to know the role played by Gallager, Caceido, and Enzo Fernandez respectively, Cole Palmer does indeed occupy a freer role and form of operation from the right wing usually occupied by Sterling in previous matches, but he's not playing a No. 10, and that's my biggest concern because if he does plays as a number 10, then Callager should be surplus to requirement in the midfield with Sterling and Mudryk occupying either wing flanks, and at least when Chelsea were utterly poor in attack, I expected such change from Poch, but he seem rather more concerned with having a heavily packed midfield, than players that could be terrific in attack, I don't like to imagine team on paper, but regardless of their current form I don't think a 4-3-3 form with Enzo, Caicedo, Palmer; Sterling, Jackson, Mudryk occupying midfield to attack, respectively would be a terrible formation and no yield good results.

LOL this is actually a pretty good business idea  Tongue

Perhaps it's about time I make this an official one if you'd be part of my clientele, I'm sure a couple of users too, the likes of LFC_Bitcoin, Buwaytress (he's always on time btw, but that could be down to him leading the pack for majority of season), Igebotz, DireWolfM14 amongst others too might need my service and as I'll be able guarantee 99.99% up time and prompt reminders  Smiley

Giroud s also on the list since he is the only GK with perfect save accuracy.

Giroud > Onana so far Roll Eyes. thats a fact and it was a pretty good save from him

Onana has been the most awful top flight goalkeeper across the top 5 leagues imo, he's probably had the most errors lead to goal than any other GK, he's got almost zero goalkeeping skill, but I find very really very reasonable that Ten Haag is twice as guilty of these eyesore of a playing out from the back tactics as much as Onana is. I really don't understand the reason of Amrabat being a left back ahead of Lindelof and while Jonny Evans needed to remain on the bench, and then he goes on and on to leaving McTominay on the bench just to pair Amrabat and Casemiro, that's some I still can't make much sense of, McTominay have showed how good he is when played in the appropriate position, and there is the hunger from Hannibal Mejbri too but he'd rather stick to players with subpar level of performance.

With season 3 starting next week, I guess it's expected to see a few esports questions appear in the early rounds since two of the biggest tournaments will start around the same week until the end of October.  Grin

Most definitely, and there would be some International matches too, I would rather not have international matches prediction honestly, and I really hope we'd get to see quite a number of NBA questions quite often too, because the NBA regular season is just around the corner and the pre-season has already started which has been very exciting to watch judging by the games I've seen so far.

@igebotz : well it seems you are pretty lucky, so whats next should we bet on? We both got decent number of freebets to use so Im expecting some parlay tips from you. Lets lose together LOL  Tongue

You were greedy and messed up your ticket, I staked three times and made a cool $140+ for the team transfer. Tickets worth $500 are still open for tomorrow and the weekend.

Now you owe me a couple beers mate!

It's like you got a decent salary budget to work during your division 2 stay, I hope you don't spend them on Maguire, Onana, and Dembele  Grin

No matter we aren't doing that well, we know we are better then those guys fighting for Div 1 title, they just got lucky  Grin

I somehow missed this statement from Trofo, I hope you can take back that statement now, Division 2 would be a walk in the park for any of the top 3 Division 1 users, and to know how competitive the Division 1 is. take a look at the number of losses by each team, and take another look at the average SA for each players too. Division 1 is the league of legends, whether or not you like it Cheesy

Can someone else send this Tuesday reminders instead of you?
Guys we may need to hire some cheap slave labor to send us this important reminders.

Yes, I can help with the reminder twice weekly Monday evening and Tuesdays too, but you'll need to pay a subscription fee of $5 fortnightly, or I could do $25 for the entire season per user, I hope I can get at least 10-20 user needing the subscription to my new available service.

Personally If it's a freebet I don't see a difference in how many chunk it's being split into, that even gives the chance to chase huge odds without losing them once, but as the saying goes, it's different strokes for different folks, I guess!

I'm used to winning titles not freebets pardon me! I.will adapt to the new environment.

I would say fasten your sit belt because it's going to be a long ride before you get to hang wit big boys again, just enjoy your love little romantic entanglement with Trofo down there, I wish you both the best of luck, hopefully when the sitting that involves the first world and the second world (cup fixtures), you guys will get a few days of privilege to chill with us  Wink

Until then, Ciao!

Sorry but do we have a new rules for freebets?

I expected to get $100 + $30 from league cup in one transaction, not in the chunks I got ($20, $20, $20, $20, $20, $10, $10, $10) and I can't accumulate these freebets, so I'll have to play 8 tickets to use them up in the next three days. Wow.

Except I got it incorrect, but if I can't use my freebets the way I want as long as I'm playing a market of 1.50 or higher, it's not worth it. The duration of use is also lethal - freebets are often valid for 7 days. I will happily accept $5 BTC as prize instead of $100 freebet I can't use. For real.

I think that's been the way it's always been paid out, and if you'd rather have one bet in one chunk, I guess it's just the same thing all you just need to do is retain your selection after betting and play the bet again.

Personally If it's a freebet I don't see a difference in how many chunk it's being split into, that even gives the chance to chase huge odds without losing them once, but as the saying goes, it's different strokes for different folks, I guess!

Congratulations mate, well deserved! I already informed Trofo to settle the payment of mine from my prize reward.

I thought Osimhen wasn't going to be on penalties anymore, and knowing he wouldn't play 90 mins or even start the game made go for a know, and that cost me dearly and I really didn't know what happened with the first yellow card time, I was sure as hell that I had 39'  Embarrassed

I have seen some really cool team logos here, and the board directors of the club decided to also join the bandwagon, by pick a new team name and have an official logo as well, that is just below this post.

PS; I'm made use of some online website to create this, so apologies if doesn't meet the required stand of a division one team, the club is just on some FFP restrictions, a lever would be activated if there is a need to get a better quality logo.

Team Name: Flying Without Ings.
