941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 27, 2023, 12:07:42 PM
I'll give everyone a tip about staking, it's better to have that less APY than to take risk and get those too much APY/APY that you're unsure if the project is gonna be successful.

Most projects that are still on the early stage will do that because it's part of being new and that's sort of enticement to the investors. Usually with high APYs, you'll get attracted to it but you'll be unsure if it will take long as the higher the APY, the lower number of investors involved.
942  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 27, 2023, 05:37:27 AM
SEC is actually right to that about tip of investing only what anyone can afford to lose. Maybe they're foreseeing something like we'll be back in the bull run and the essence of it is for those sudden companies that will come out offering investments to people like HYIP, fake crowdfunding and of the same.

They understand how bitcoin is doing and performing and that's why it's an indirect hit to it and most likely, this is also for bunch of altcoins where people are following every single meme coin, trending altcoin and what not.
943  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Amazing Crypto Trading Signal Channel on: March 26, 2023, 11:04:25 PM
There is not that much in there on your channel and I've always been too doubtful if there's a truly good channel where people are just sharing information.

Because if there is a legitimate group that does that, eventually, they'll make that group into a paid one and those that wants to pursue will be there but most likely, we see the scheme there that it's like a free trial version until they make everyone enticed that they'll feel that they're disposing information by not availing plan or upgrades on them just to be in to that group.

I don't really know what the OP's real purpose is, but to be honest, I've never seen a group or channel of signals that are free and beneficial to the investors who follow them. I've seen a lot, initially they build a free channel to attract investors, but when the channel starts to grow, they will change the policy of charging users if they want to stay or want a higher profit signal. I don't believe what they say, if they could guarantee such a win rate, they would have become very rich and don't need to waste time fooling others.
There were free and they're like opinionated speculations and predictions and you'll get nothing from it. So, they share free contents to just show how active they are.

But then, if someone is encouraged by how active they are into their groups then from there they'll start to make paid memberships for which they think is a VIP treatment for their members.

If someone who's really good in trading, he won't bother himself to get along with other people but will focus on it. But then, there are actual good ones that do sell lessons but not actual signals.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stories about lost Bitcoin on: March 26, 2023, 09:40:45 PM
Maybe as a newbie before years ago many have experienced of being a victim of HYIP and that's the first ever lost of bitcoin that anyone can. It's different now because scammers are making it look like that they're hackers through direct asking for someone's seed.

Yeah, I have reached a level where I feel confident having set up a 2-3 multisig wallet. In the beginning I didn't even know what a private key was. But, thanks to certain people and websites, I have educated myself well. Still lots to learn of course.
Good on you, we learn from our mistakes and that's why it's important to be aware of these details whether they're just small or big information that can save lives, yes, life savings and crypto assets.

Thank you guys. I appreciate both of your answers.

Losing an amount of money causes very strong feelings. I got into a mindset where I was blaming my stupid mind for being scammed like this.

However, this mistake taught me the importance of being more suspicious and of course more well educated. Then, I started blaming the thief and not myself. Finally, I got the opportunity to learn more about bitcoin. And the more I have learnt, the more I have liked it.

Today, I am much better. But still, I try to learn more and more, absorbing knowledge from daily events. That's why I made this post.

You're welcome.

And that's nice to hear to you're better than before. We become better when we learn the lesson from our experiences and it may be really that bad at all but look at the brighter side.

Because you can no longer reverse the situation and what's done is done, you just need to learn from it so it won't happen again in the future.

We all have the same purpose and that's to keep on learning while we're here.
945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is exactly going on in price chart. on: March 26, 2023, 08:37:58 PM
some people says the chart is form by human emotion
Where have you heard about this? I don't think that they know what they're saying. We become emotional whenever we see charts that are not in our favor but it's not being formed by emotions, charts don't rely on people's emotions.

means, all movement are totally random? or previously anyone can determine were will the market going,
We can say that it's a yes but there are factors that affect these charts and one of it is about the news that are circulating about that crypto you're following and looking on its chart.

947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: March 26, 2023, 06:21:13 PM
What is the fair percentage of a total max supply that are in circulation that can make you invest in a project? It is fine to avoid a project that has low circulating supply? Why?
Can do the both, low and high supply.

Because what matters now is the actual usage of the project and use case. That's making everyone invest into a project but there are conservative investors that have this type of condition about having low or high supply of a project.

What about if the project is a brand new project and the use case is killing it?
Then that's so much better.
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Taught Me To Dare to Dream on: March 25, 2023, 02:39:31 PM
Everyone's life has been changed by bitcoin but I can't also ignore those that have made their lives, not so successful.

The majority of us have been changed and thanks to bitcoin. Anyone who's looking for something better like those that have been victimized of fiat HYIP that's almost everywhere.

When they've found bitcoin, it has changed the path that they're taking and instead of they, we, because I've got also my good and success story with bitcoin.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you love and enjoy taking risk? on: March 25, 2023, 12:16:09 PM
What future do we really hope for altcoins without bitcoin?
Without bitcoin, you dont expect anything on this market to thrive. Because if it is not for bitcoin, we do know that altcoins wont be going that far.

And when I say wont go that far, it is for real because it is a give and take but not all altcoins will go afar.
950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or Investing in the stock market on: March 25, 2023, 10:12:42 AM
Obviously Trading on Bitcoin is the best way to earn money in a short term or long term and it's far better than investing in the stock market. But a question? It's not for all to trade with Bitcoin. Because it's very volatile and can lose all the assets if someone invest in wrong coins or in a wrong time. So if you can't handle high volatile market then Bitcoin trading isn't for you. You can go for crypto holding for long terms.
Yeah, both long and short term are profitable if you're in bitcoin. I've done that and I can say that it's worth it whether your positions are either.

Those that can't really trade, we've got another option and that's the most basic thing and that's just to hold. No pressure or whatsoever as long as you've got capital to buy.

You're good to hold and wait until the price increases.
951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the altcoin go up in price if the bitcoin price goes up? on: March 25, 2023, 08:42:14 AM
I have watched the market and the price of bitcoin is going up, and I think and also usually if bitcoin goes up then the altcoins usually go up in price, for example if btc goes up 3% then altcoins always go up in the range of 7%. but what I see this time is not like that, for example if btc goes up 7% then the altcoin goes up only 3%.

and I want to ask you all what caused the market situation to be like that? and have people started distrusting altcoins or what?
You have to remember that the market is too unpredictable and that's why it's not always correlated for its pumps. Sometimes they are and sometimes they're not.

As we can see, there have been times that it was inversely proportional and sometimes it was the explanation that you've mentioned.

This is how the market works and there's no exact and accurate calculations for the gains and losses that bitcoin and altcoins are getting.

953  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects of Cryptocurrency Adoption on: March 24, 2023, 10:58:20 PM
I didn't know that Vietnam is the first on the list but regardless of that, it means that adoption in crypto from country to country really varies. We can't expect that a country that doesn't look like a crypto friendly country is more to be the crypto friendly country.

So, don't judge based on the location and that's what I've learned. Adoption is increasing and that's why as we go to the halving, the rate of it will eventually increase because of the hope that the price of bitcoin and everything will increase.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can we return the stolen wallet? on: March 24, 2023, 10:07:02 PM
When a wallet was already compromised, you should just leave that wallet and don't use it anymore. The chance of being hacked again is 100% because the hackers are already aware of its recovery seeds.

Even if you badly want to secure it again, it's better to dispose that wallet that has been exposed already to the hackers. Don't do any deposit from there or you'll have the same fate by getting hacked or getting drained through the same wallet.
955  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: March 23, 2023, 11:35:00 PM
It's normal for its people to have those rallies and wanting to convey their message to the government on what they're demanding for. They're paying for the tax on that country unless the country is tax-free, at least for some countries.

I believe that the governance still has something to do on how the life of people would be. But, if you're in that type of area and you're still thinking that the government will pull you up to get out of poverty then that's the time you need to start thinking that you can't be too dependent on them.

They can do something regards to the price decrease of commodities and for the private companies to increase the salaries, it's not that easy because it depends on the cost of living and operational costs if it's doable.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc being tied to SVB? on: March 23, 2023, 10:41:56 PM
Your decision, if you're too satisfied with that 40% gain then sell it. No one forces you to sell or wait and hold. We've got our own satisfaction in terms of profit and whether it's less or more, profit is profit.

Since you've got a strategy ready to be deployed, just do what you think suits your investment style and if that technique will be for your portfolio's betterment then do what's necessary.

Also, don't forget the forum rules about bumping a thread because you only bump a thread once per 24 hours and your original post isn't even yet passed on 24 hours so, no need to bump.

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours per thread. Bumping multiple threads at the same time is allowed if it's not annoying. [2][e]
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin loan for students in higher institution. on: March 23, 2023, 09:42:11 PM
There's no such unless you're a regular borrower that has a collateral and able to support that you'll pay it back so proceed to the lending section.

But on this case, why not just go to your student director's office or student affairs and ask them if they've got a program for students who's looking to loan for your tuition fees and stuff?

I think that most schools has got that and of course, there will be some requirements and the first of it might be having good grades.
958  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: March 23, 2023, 08:45:34 PM
There's no scarcity of cash, when your wallet isn't filled with money then you have to find some job and hustle to work with so it's filled and you'll not feel that there's scarcity that's happening now.

Inflation is given and price of commodities and our needs have increased and that's why if you don't do something to defeat, you're just there sitting around and watching everything rise and you don't have any plan to mitigate it.

Then, there must be something wrong with you and the sad truth that one job today is no longer enough to sustain our needs.

Yes, inflation is killing us; making money has become more and more difficult as prices rise and prices continue to rise. We are going through bad times, I am a pretty stable person compared to the average income of the country, but I am also feeling the currency depreciating too quickly and I am also overwhelmed by what is happening. People with lower incomes than me must be having crisis days.

If you follow the thread of people from Nigeria, you will know that cash is becoming a very scarce thing there. Their government is making monetary changes but those changes are not reasonable causing a serious cash shortage.
Now I see why they're saying that cash is scarce because of the situation in some countries and that's just sad to know. Even if many countries aren't really well right now, there have been some contingency plan from the government to mitigate the inflation rates.

That's why we see some countries able to fight the inflation and slow it down but it's still scary that it's just slowed down and who knows if the next year or two years that there will be a surge after all of the combats that have been done.

It's true that people with lesser income and barely have something for their daily needs are the most affected ones. We also feel it but we know what to do.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not sleep on DEx Exchange tokens on: March 23, 2023, 07:52:07 PM
I don't trade on DEXES that I am not aware and mostly, they're not popular. Although it's a good investment for those that knows the liquidity and volume of them considered to be quite high.
Those exchanges were famous about 4 years ago and they are really not user-friendly when it comes to their platform only a few of them have updated their sites because the competition with centralized exchanges nowadays is giving them hard time and traders will always choose to have easy access and user-friendly exchanges rather than using that dex which is not really recommended for newbies. But today lots of things happened with the exchanges and lots of people now recommend using Dex exchanges because of what happened with FTX last time.
That's right.

Because of what happened to FTX and other centralized platforms, it's recommended to go with decentralized exchanges. But that doesn't mean that they're all completely safe with it because nobody knows.

As a trader or an investor, we have to be informed on what's happening in the market together with those exchanges whether they're centralized or decentralized.

And it's not just all about their service but also their tokenomics.
