961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 22, 2023, 04:22:51 AM
There have been many examples when a gambler has no limits when playing gambling to become bankrupt, and that is a lesson for us to always remember that we must apply good management of our finances while playing. I am also a bit of a gambler in that I only play with money that I am prepared to lose. I'm thankful I can suppress my urges when I want to gamble but I don't have extra money to play with. The reason is if I force myself to play it will disrupt my financial flow in the end. So I do my best to control myself when I don't have money to play with.
It's good if we know that gambling is just fun and we don't have to pursue that pleasure to the point of spending a lot of money. And when we realize that we are only playing with money, we are ready to lose and will not chase to win because we know it is not easy to get. And I agree that we must have good self-control to avoid being tempted by the many casino games. We must limit ourselves to gambling so that we are not affected by gambling where we can experience gambling addiction.
Will the gambler ever accept the fact that gambling is for fun, I don't think the number of gamblers that have that line of thought is much and we must know how to set the priorities right and by doing so we must learn how to control the phr emotion and never to go above our boundaries.

Setting a timer could help, but having self-control helps more since that will have psychological effects on your mindset other than a timer.
Well, many gamblers are playing not to have fun but their goal is to win huge. They think it's easy to win in gambling and they can become rich in snap. If you're a kind of gambler with such mindset, it's likely that you have a gambling problem since your main desire is to win and not to entertain yourself.

If you win in gambling it can bring satisfaction and you'll be motivated to keep on playing. However, isn't it good to gamble just to have fun and you're not expecting anything? That way, if ever you win or lose, you're not so affected since that's not the main reason why you're playing.
962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment, fulltime endeavor or side hustle? on: May 22, 2023, 02:16:05 AM
after this encounter, I decided to bring this question too to the Bitcoin community itself so I would hear from other traders like myself. What is your opinion about this would you quit your job and go into Bitcoin investment, considering it as a full-time hustle?
I started as a trader then I switched to become a long term hodler. Before I engage myself in crypto, I already have a stable job and a running business that up to now still existing. But I still don't quit my job despite of having other source of income, why? Because this is where I can earn a passive and stable income aside from being a crypto investor.

So my answer to your question is no, I will not quit my job and won't consider being a crypto investor/trader as a full time hustle. I agree with your friends, their job can give them additional capital for their investment hence it's wise to keep your stable job while treat crypto as a side hustle. This way, incase something didn't go as planned with your investment, you still have other source to be able to earn a decent income.
963  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 21, 2023, 09:20:40 AM
There's no doubt that roobet will gather every award in cryto casino providing that they have proven themselves for being generous and trustworthy.
Roobet is indeed one of the best crypto casino existing today but it's not certain yet if the platform will gather all the rewards. Is the winner only based on votes? Anyway, I have casted my votes already to show support for Roobet.

Their biggest issue is mandatory KYC while signing up which chased away many gamblers.
Well, that's true. But even they have this mandatory level 1 kyc, many gamblers still opted to comply and stay. I think now, it's not an issue anymore since the players learned to embrace it in order to continue playing on the platform.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: May 21, 2023, 07:30:38 AM
Yes, this incident arose naturally because of that person's loss. When after losing a large amount he felt somewhat embarrassed. He could not control himself and took out his anger against the casino because he lost a big amount ($58,000) at that paltform. I'm sure the way he got addicted to betting he would have continued his betting if the alarm work correctly. This is only an expression of his anger after his loss. He just consider it as a way to relieve himself. Many gamblers do this by trying to control themselves by blaming others when they lose excessively.
yep, that's right. in an angry situation a gambler will vent his emotions on anyone who he thinks can understand his defeat like a friend who becomes an angry victim of a gambling loss and that is just naturally unintentional and I'm sure his friend doesn't take that anger seriously because it's only natural that if gambling loses it will definitely anger venting on others.
I myself have experienced problems like that and I tend to blame the casino when I lose a few days without winning but it's only for a moment and after a few days I still come back to the casino to keep gambling to entertain myself.
sometimes someone who can't limit betting is the wrong condition that causes it to be difficult for himself and blames other people.
It's understandable to be emotional when we face losses while those who can't control their emotions tend to blame the casino or someone to relieve the pain. But after composing himself that's when he'll realize that it happened because of his own decision and no one is to blame other than himself.

Hence, before starting to gamble, ask yourself if you can handle the losses. Because gambling is not the answer if your main goal is to win huge. If that's your main desire and not to have fun, don't gamble because playing with high expectation can lead to disappointment if what you expected didn't happen.
965  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: May 21, 2023, 04:32:43 AM
Most scam casinos actually come from new casinos in this industry. Because others like gamblers and well-known influencers also planted in the minds of most gamblers that when a casino is new, the chances of you winning a lot of money are high.

It is these hyped things that they say are the ones that make an impression on the online gambling community, so many are victims of online casinos. The majority of people think that they will get a lot of money for a small amount in gambling, but they will realize in the end that they have lost a lot and even exceeded the small capital that they thought would be a big amount, but it turned out to be a big amount in the end. they will lose.
Gamblers should not have thought that a new casino could give them a chance to win big money. That is an erroneous thought because their chances of losing may be greater than the wins they can get.

But indeed, they also can win, especially if they can get lucky when gambling. They could prevent big losses if they used small bets and kept track of how long they had been gambling. But it depends on how they control the use of money.

Let's not also forget to discuss about the advantage in taking into consideration the new casinos as well, for everything, there's always an advantage and a disadvantage in it, there are many reasons why you could see gamblers inter in newly established casinos just because they aren't satisfied enough from the ones they have been using, that's why there's a need for a consistent upgrades in those casinos in other to help them maintain their security and gamblers as well, also trying out something is another desire which anyone can have taste for.

We may feel like trying a new casino features and make comparisons to what we've been receiving before, this is also a right to any gambler to choose his desiring platform to gamble on, but the risk of falling into scam casinos might have increased while doing this, most importantly, it Should be an occasional occurrence not what we should be doing often moving from one casino to another.

You can try playing in a new casino to try out the features, but remember that we don't know how the service is. After all, many of the new casinos only provide good service at the start of their launch, but after a few months, they can no longer provide good service.

Apart from that, you also have to remember that you don't use a lot of money to try the features so that you won't regret it if something happens. And for those new casinos, if they can provide satisfactory service, there will surely be many people who return to gambling at the casino, which is an advantage for the casino.
I agree. When you try a new casino don't use a huge capital to play. Just start with small amount and see if you'll be satisfied of their offered games and their services. But before that, take time to read their ToS to know their rules and be aware of the do's and don'ts because ignorance is not an excuse incase you violate a certain rule for not being aware.

There's nothing wrong if you want to explore but always be careful since not all casinos existing nowadays are legit. Thus, DYOR before playing to a specific casino to make sure you won't experience any problem related to scamming their players.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 21, 2023, 02:54:36 AM
To play in any casino you have to come with your money or asset, or are there any casinos that allow play and pay later? Or I am thinking if maybe he used a credit card for gambling? We all know that debt is possible on cards..

I don't think most banks will allow that form of transaction where credit or sort of pay later can be used at casino platforms.

Gambling is one of the services that credit cards won't entertain as valid transaction. Just imagine the number of possible issues that the bank can face if they will allow using credit cards on gambling sites such as fraud, chargeback, authorization issues, etc.

The casino itself I believed won't also allow that kind of transaction. If users don't have money, then don't gamble.
Exactly. I don't think it's possible for online casino to use credit cards to be able to gamble unless we're talking about physical casino whereas it might be allowed specifically for their loyal clients.

Anyway, for me it's not wise for a casino to implement a feature to play now, and play later because as we know casino is a business. So if you have no money to gamble then they will let you to play first and then let's say you lose, how can you repay the money? If to begin with you have nothing. It can only cause more problem like debts and addiction. Hence if you have no money refrain yourself from playing and don't take loan just to gamble because it's not a good idea.
967  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: May 21, 2023, 12:32:40 AM
-snip

Well, if you buy 2 or 3 more Rollbots, you will get even more $RLB tokens. As for keeping or selling $RLB tokens, I think it would be better to hold, because at the moment this token has a fairly clear use case and utility.

Sold mine and Im happy with the amount that I got from it, sold like 85% of my stash. As for the extra 15% of my stash, Im planning to keep it for awhile and completely forget about it as it could either worth alot more in the future or lose most of its value. Its free money afterall and never would I have thought that I would made money from RLB so yeah either way Im quite happy
Same here. I never thought this can happen, the new update makes it more easier for us to buy and sell our token and withdraw or use it to play. I also have 1000 RLB as their airdropped for users before. But I didn't use it to join in lottery so I just let it sit there while playing. Those who own Rollbots (like you) from V1 and V2 are luckier because they got more RLB airdropped.

Anyway, I have no plan to sell my RLB yet. Instead, I'll buy more to hold, just waiting for a price decrease so I can buy at cheaper price.
968  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 19, 2023, 10:41:45 PM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?
You don’t have to force yourself to spend more than of your income, that will not make you rich but it will clearly put you into debt. Even in an investment, bigger capital does not guarantee high returns too. So the safest way is just to spend or invest an amount that you can afford to lose. However, if you apply this condition to helping others, well it’s really true the more you give, the more you receive. But know that we should not always expect returns from others because that will only disappoint us if ever.
Indeed. Spending more even the purpose is to use it for investment doesn't necessarily mean you'll gain more. As we know, it is associated with risk hence the result is not guaranteed. Therefore before you spend your money for investment, have plan because not all investments are profitable and many of them are just scam.

Anyway, when it comes to helping others by giving more, it's an act of kindness and as you've said we should not be expecting to get anything in return. People with a good heart is more blessed and that's what you'll get for being a blessing to others.
969  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pilipinas, isa sa mga nangungunang bansa na interesado sa Web3 game on: May 19, 2023, 02:49:43 AM
Basta play to earn, you can expect more pinoys to adopt.

I’m wondering why we are still in number 1 this year, ano ang nilalaro nyo ngayon? Profitable ba?
Basta pagkakakitaan talagang go mga Pinoy diyan. Good thing if nauna ka.

That's just my guess.

970  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What was your biggest fear with starting in crypto? on: May 19, 2023, 01:26:19 AM
Genuinely want to know what prevents your friends/gf/ colleagues from investing? Did you have any barriers when you first started?
At first, i'm hesitant to engage myself in crypto due to my past experiences. I got scammed from my previous investment online, the reason why it's not easy to trust again. But as time goes by, after learning about crypto particularly Bitcoin I proved to myself that it is different to the investment that I joined before. The doubts and worries were replaced by optimism after I experienced to profit with my investment, even it takes time.

On the other side, the common barrier on why some people are not investing in crypto is lack of capital. Even they gain knowledge and aware that it is profitable, lack of money that is meant for investment is a hindrance to engage themselves.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most altcoins are fake (wakanda) on: May 18, 2023, 08:40:10 AM
Please what is the aimed of those people doing fake crypto currency?
Of course to make money. They deceived the people by creating a project and promising the investors to have a good return when they invest and making it looks like the project is really worth to take the risk. This is one of the reason why it's quite risky to invest in new coins, because majority of them are shitcoins without utility.

Anyway, since wakanda has still value, why don't you wait until bullrun? Who knows the price might soar high. I also have meme coin that I bought 2 years ago but the difference is, I already profit from it and just holding some to see if the bullrun in the future can influence the price to increase. Anyhow, this is a lesson for you to not trust the new coins easily without doing your own research because scammers are already smart to create a project that looks genuine.
972  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc price preeiction on: May 18, 2023, 05:02:49 AM
$40,000 top this year, that's possible. But $11,000 as the bottom? That's most probably not going to happen. Not within the year, much less next year. 2024 is the halving year. Although there might be a dip months before the halving, I think $11,000 is a bit of an exaggeration. After the halving, the price will most likely be generally going up so $11,000 is very unlikely.

$100,000 could be in next year. But I don't think there's a bull run that will last 2 to 3 years. That's again an exaggeration. But do you have a basis for this prediction of yours?
$40k this year is very possible and I also agree with you that $11k is also not possible. I believe that the worst bitcoin can go before the bull run is $20k and not below. The days of perpetual bear market is gone as from henceforth we are moving towards the green.
I don't believe in $100k this year. It is somthing very difficult to happen.
$100k is possible next year as many investors are probably buying Bitcoin in preparation for the bullrun that might happen after halving. But for this year my prediction is, the price can go higher up to $35k, it's more realistic. The price didn't last long above $30k it's because of some investors taking advantage the price increase hence it is not surprising at all to see the price declining and not increasing consistently.

Nevertheless, whatever the price might end up before this year end, secure yourself by buying Bitcoin at cheaper price while we're not in bullrun yet. Continue holding and be patient.
973  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 18, 2023, 01:47:44 AM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult. Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
Trading is a good alternative if you want to earn online. However it's not easy as what you think it is because many traders as well decided to quit because of frequent losses. The reason why it is not advisable for beginners to leave their job to be a trader and see for themselves if it is profitable to go full-time.

So, which is better, online or offline?
Online is better, less expenses for transportation and food plus you hold your time depending on what your job is. Moreover, the ways to earn are not only limited in trading (it's just one of your option) since there are plenty of opportunity to earn online and it depends on your knowledge and skills.

975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: May 17, 2023, 03:08:36 AM
This happened to me already twice in a row. I'm gambling for a long time but this is the first time I experience this kind of messy situation because it involves the fck up mempool.

I deposit my funds in a casino using a low-priority fee. I managed to triple my bankroll by playing a quick game of Blackjack with huge bets. But since my deposit is so frickin slow to confirm while I don't want to bump my fee since it will create a different transaction on my account. Due to my winning streak while still waiting for many hours, I decided to just play slowly using a 1$ bet. This 1$ bet grows to all-in because I just keep losing for an insane lose streak just because I can't withdraw my funds.

Sharing my personal experience of my recent losses so that no one will commit this same mistake. Bet responsibly. I will stay away from gambling for a while now that mempool is starting to suck once again.

DON'T GAMBLE IF THE INSTANT WITHDRAWAL IS NOT AVAILABLE!
I can relate to your experience because it also happened to me many times. I really like a casino where you can use your deposited money instantly even without blockchain confirmation because you don't have to wait. But the problem is if you already win and wanted to withdraw your money. Since you really have to be patient and control yourself not to bet again because chances are you'll lose what you won already.

Thus, my solution for this is, if i'm already contented with my winnings, I just simply logged out my account and return after few hours and see if it's already available to withdraw. To be able to do this of course you need to control yourself. Somehow it is working for me, did it twice. But now, I chose not to gamble for a while because i'm currently busy at work.
976  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa kaba sa my mga bitcoin or any crypto noon? on: May 17, 2023, 12:31:47 AM

977  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: May 16, 2023, 07:46:37 AM
Many gamblers are playing but can't accept their losses so they're blaming others for what happened, and in most cases they put the blame in the casino. Aside from reading the casino's tems and condition to become aware of the rules, it's also important to prepare yourself for the possible consequences if you gamble your money because losing it is likely to happen. So incase you're not lucky to win, it's not hard to accept the outcome because you know the risk.

This kind of people should be banned on playing in any casino or gambling platform.  This brings more trouble than profit to the gambling industry.  Not only they are blaming Casinos for the losses, they even put a lot of effort in defaming the platform where they got their huge losses.  We have seen several cases like this in the forum, even filing a scam complaint on the casino platform which at the end is futile because they have no evidence in hand, and the thread is created due to hate and unacceptance of losses.
It's like they say that there is always a black sheep in every family, I could remember back in the days, when there were no online casino, gamblers have to visit a physical casino to gamble, I heard stories of how some gamblers who lost big on the casinos return back to the same casino with a gun to rob the casino, some did rob the casinos successfully, but one thing lead to another, they end up being caught and jailed, others who are not so lucky are caught on the spot and sent to jail.

Today, most gamblers now do their gambling online, and since the losers can not find the casino to rob, they resort to baseless accusations, image defamation and other vices through which they try to cause fud against the casino, well, I am not surprised though, this is some kind of attack I personally think every online casino should prepare themselves for, cus its gonna come from time to time.
Reading all these replies make me wonder what class of gambler will blame the casino for their own losses because failing to accept responsibility for your actions alone is a bad addiaddictionits own talk more when it is associated with gambling,  the fact that a gambler can not manage the pain of losing as much as he celebrates the joy of winning already signal a bad attitude that can trigger up depression in gamblers.

I have read one of two complaints from gamblers who blame casinos for their losses and that sounds awkward to me and as a matter of fact,  I don't take them seriously at all and at any point where I have the opportunity to advise such players,  I always try to suggest to them to take a break from gambling to avoid getting deeply addicted.
It's a human nature to sometimes experience an in denial stage because you need to absorb first that it is the reality, you gamble, so you lose your money. The problem is if you're desperate to get it back or would like to have someone to blame for the unfortunate situation that you are in, even if it's solely your decision to gamble your money. There are many gamblers with such behaviour so it is not unusual to see some accusations (without valid evidence) against the casino.

As I have said before, if you can't accept losing your money in gambling then don't gamble, this is to save yourself from headaches and stress.

I had a math class with third graders of which we discussed money I told them about virtual and real money of which I was very shocked and happy that they had knowledge about Bitcoin.
However we ended the class after we had spoken alot about Bitcoin they were soo happy and loved the class also
Like wow being with the kids was a nice time for them and I to get to know Bitcoin better look forward to having a class with them next week
The new generation kids are already expose to the current technology and has an access on the internet. If they have knowledge about Bitcoin then probably they heard it on different social media platforms. It's a good thing that at a young age they're already aware of Bitcoin.

Moreover, you as their teacher can guide them on what Bitcoin really is as a virtual currency. So they would not think it's a scam, like what we often see on news addressing Bitcoin as scam. But the truth is, it is only use as tool by these scammers. So through you, they will be enlighten on its purpose and why Bitcoin is existing.
979  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational Parade on: May 16, 2023, 03:43:02 AM
do you think, a parade like this will be effective in reducing the level of gambling addiction?
No. Even the intention is good, I don't think it will be effective to reduce the gambling addiction. Instead, people might become curious to this slot game and started playing because they got attracted due to this parade. I agree on what others already replied here, the opposite of the expected result is what they can achieve for doing this.

A gambling addiction awareness and seminars are more effective if the Government is serious to reduce the gambling addiction and remind the people of its effect. With this parade, they just expose the slot game to people even the intention is not to attract them to gamble.

You can get more in return if you're spending in useful things with a long term benefit like investing. But if you're just spending your money for wants then how can you get more by doing that? It can only give you problem financially.

The saying that I know is "don't spend more than what you can earn" to be able to save some money for rainy days. Those who can spend more and get more in return are wise to use their money for business or investment. Because that's reasonable on why you're spending more even your income is fixed.
