^ No, no, it's on all of us. I think yes, a tad bit of fatigue in terms of pools and predictions but I've also been really under the weather lately and for whatever reason, Serie A is the one generating the least excitement for me. I have to say it's probably because I don't see as many big odds here lately than in other leagues -- so same excuse as Trofo that where I don't bet, I don't pay attention.

Definitely need to catch up on watching games, Scamacca's on a hattrick right now and if things keep like this, I have a close score (silly me for only going 0-2).

Can't remember who it was who backed Shelton to the hilt but he's fallen already in Paris at the very first hurdle. Right after his awesome outing last time. Figures, huh? Tempted to just spray this entire Masters question with "No"s all the way but that would be too much of a bad streak for the top seeds... right?

Great news on sponsorship, may I say thank you to Cros, Sportsbet, and jeremypwr for making our luves brighter every day lol

I say this with relegation threats, imagine how happy I am if I am top Wink

well done again jayce, you did really well, GL this round.

Answer submitted. I feel confident, but I think cup and tennis yes/no will be my main issue as usual.

No offence to Liverpool but they are only seen as a team that makes superstars, not a team that accepts superstars Smiley

None taken. I like that tag and I think players who join also do. Bellingham wasn't a superstar though -- highly talented but unproven. He will end this season as one if Real win something...

I see that 13 players already submitted their answers. I guess the fact that early submission plays a crucial part in settling freebets, no one cares about the tennis question.

I laughed reading this. Not that I don't care... I just haven't gained much waiting all this while AND I can fallback on VAR. I don't think I ever submitted this early... but also because of daylight savings I didn't want to risk muscle memory.

Mostly football again, with some tennis, baseball (1st time I think) and Cricket due to the fact that Sportsbet's got a promo for it running. Some of us participated, quite shamefully.

Shame!

I'm very happy for winning the yellow cap for the 2nd time. Cool I got really very sad for Perez. It must have created a big disappointment for him to be out of the race at turn 1 already at his home. If Perez didn't become out of the race today I think that he could have competed for the lead.

There are only 3 races left for the end of the season and there is still a big competition for the championship in the pool.

Nicely done man. You gave up BSFL but got yellow cap here, I figure it's well worth the "sacrifice".

Perez really, truly, disappointed those who backed him more than himself. I knew his impatience and desperation would come into play but a first lap burnout (I didn't watch but saw the notifies) is likely the final straw. Can't excuse it no matter what the official stance will be.

3 races left, and I thought I played pretty smart but still over 2 points off the leaders (the average I feel is absolute floor). Worst thing to happen would be to slip out of Top 10!

Yay for me winning GW! Like Trofo said no need to rush transfers I've really just sat down 2 weeks now waiting out injuries and form while clearing out Brighton.

Such a pity some unexpected player absentees but I guess Diaz playing might not have allowed Nunez to shine so much.

I tried to be cute and captain Watkins as I like playing around with whoever is facing Luton, that's 13pts down the drain from Haaland  Embarrassed

Yeah, you got Haaland, stop being fresh already and keep that armband welded to him! Me, patiently waiting for Darwin to rise and end the order of Haaland with freakish chaos.

Nice going on getting sponsorship funds, thank you SB. Don't worry guys, 6-figure Bitcoin coming.

I think I only scored 2 points... CLS63 you'd have won against me had you submitted it on time. I guess that's my big break though I thought I had pretty solid answers, turned out that football is as unpredictable as ever. BSFL also, it would appear!

No one is more mad than me. Bellingham was super but I actually was truly surprised he went to Real. As I observed he wanted to join an English club and he seemed keen to play not for an all star team like City but a "Dortmund" achiever like Liverpool.

I mentioned this last season but it hurts extra because we first wanted to buy him (Klopp did anyway) when he was still 16! Problem was money and release, and in the end we couldn't cough up either (I made peace with never getting him last season when the fee issue was painfully apparently not going away). I think he had/has a good relationship with England team so Hendo leaving also probably didn't help.

Funny Ajax... I know they're shit but I thought experience would matter. Came in a bit too late to suggest my main ticket today which would have been a United win vs City, parlayed with a Liverpool HT win to get almost 8/1 -- game already started so we'll go instead with a Freiburg upset away at high-flying Leverkusen. It's not as bad as the bookies suggest, surely?

100 units at Sportsbet on Freiburg to WIN vs Leverkusen @9.80. Other odds: 9.70. Units advantage: 10.

Did I sidebet anyone here or was it in EPL pool?
You performed well with your midfielders, but the buwatress I know will never play Mbuemo ahead of Saka; something tells me that you missed the deadline and missed to make changes to your team, and everything worked out well for you. You'll need to make an early substitution, Saka for Mbuemo for GW10. This weekend, Arsenal will face Sheffield united.

Nope, what actually saved me was that FPL showed Saka was injured =)

Saka is always, always my main guy, agreed, but I watch the guy play and I think the internationals plus recent games have sapped his strength, so for these 2 GWs I'm keeping him on my bench only because of form. Seems my mistake was to keep Raya on the bench. It could work out if Ederson either keeps a clean sheet or doesn't play (I hope the latter).

And in the end Saka might still get played too subbing Diaz, because I just read that my Diaz had his parents kidnapped in Colombia (mom rescued, dad still missing). I doubt he plays.

P.S. Is anyone impressed with me keeping Wilson on my team since GW1? Without captaincy or vice, he's now on 5th ranking for points and only on the roster of 5%. I'm genius.

Hey notblox1, I need to hear back from logfiles and Ulven first about their usernames so hope they see this tag and get back to me. I've also PM'd them. They want all the winners processed together.

Don't worry about expiry, I believe they last at least 18 months (7 days I think but I've seen the display at 500+ days!) haha, but I'll ping when I know they've been disbursed.

➥ Some belated observations from Matchday 3:
  • Only 3 people continued to believe in Galatasaray, including slaman29 who did not get twice lucky.
  • Napoli was the favourite bet, with 15 people seeing value in 2/1 and only one picking the draw.
  • Newcastle was also hot but let down 11 people. On the flip side, 5 people picked BVB and took home the bacon.
  • Young Boys - City was the least favourite pick with one going for a home upset and one going all-in on City.
  • Atletico was the most expensive loss, with a staggering 44 points staked on them -- including all-ins from spiritual brothers Igehbotz and Trofo.
  • bullrun2020bro topped MD3 with 24.2 points, but this was the lowest haul so far overall, with only 21 people winning 10+ points, and 11 coming home with nothing.

Which one of you had Mudryk down as a goalscorer? Grin

I got just 1 goalscorer correctly so far, and unless Willian scores today, I have a feeling it will stay at 1.

I really need to set myself a reminder. Missed this completely and with only 25 Match days to go, I need 89 more correct predictions to reach a 100. Too many missed weeks!

To be absolutely fair, I'd have gotten Son last night, but would never have gone near Maupay, Mbeumo or Pinnock. I'd love to see the guy who picked those vs a supposedly improving Chelski at home...

What if the Majestic 7 has a 1v1 feature that matches you randomly vs somebody at every match day and the winner gets a small prize or something.  What do you guys think?  It could even done with other sports like the UFC or F1.

Pointless. Every one would be playing for the 10k.

I wouldn't mind a P2P option for this though. Stake something, hope someone takes you up, house takes 0.5%?

Hello! My name is Chelsea. Come to my crib to take 3 points any time. We have lots of expensive furniture that does something right every now and then but in general, feel free to come in and break them =)

Caicedo must be wondering what the hell happened. This wasn't even a sucker punch. Brentford actually deserved the win!

I can already imagine all the memes if Spurs win the title and Bayern does not. Kane social accounts would not survive that  Grin

Spurs are playing nice football and I like seeing them on the top but no way they can win the title with these players. One injury to Maddison or Son and it will all come crumbling down.

Yeah that would be so nice, even bigger than Coutinho leaving Liverppol to get beaten by the Reds en route to winning UCL (yeah he won with Bayern but absolutely not on the same level).

Spurs definitely deserve something. Son most of all for the way he just gives everything. We helped them with three points but I don't think they survive any sort of injury/fatigue crisis.

Good reminder from above -- if you've paid, put your picks, and then predictions on forum Wink My picks in long before I went to bed last night, but if I'm not mistaken, we still get the chance to change our picks today based on practice results?

Oh wait, practice showed Max to be the quickest. Big surprise, there. Perez got a respectable third, so I'm wondering if I should give homeboy a podium right next to Max. And Yuki moved out of 10th after his big penalty haha.

was thinking what is better, to go with Bochum, or for a draw, and decided for Bochum
but Mainz scored a last second goal to take one point home, and game finished 2:2, and there goes my pick with it

off to tomorrow games, not a very interesting round, have to say, but Bremen vs Union could be good, Union is not playing best football lately

Eh... the complete opposite happened with me. Automatically want to go against Mainz but I finally decided to let off on Mainz and went with a respectable draw for them. Exact score to start the week perfectly but still needed an own goal and injury time for that.

Luck, huh.

Ey, cygan, our bitcointalk Werderaner, put a fiver on an actual stub too so you can have a couple of free Haake Beck when they win eh?

i don't need to bet a fiver - i'll get the beer for the way to the stadium as it is Cool in any case, i'll take a bit more pictures and share these impressions in the said thread.
union now with 9 defeats in a row and bremen with 3 - that will definitely be a very interesting game and hopefully with a good end for bremen

Ah, I need to take the cue from you not to drink more when I win silly bets and just keep the beer habit to a given heh. Going to be a while for me before I see a proper game, but there is always something about the passion betwixt teams with less and less to "lose".

Hope you enjoy.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2023/2024 on: October 27, 2023, 05:12:25 PM
That is out of the question and is going to be 100% true that they will play in Premier League next year. They have been the best team in the English Championship so far and they have also convinced in their goal scoring ability which is one of the best of the league, even in defense they are doing well and as such they will be surely promoted to play in the Premier League next season.

Southampton is an average team which may or may not be directly promoted to the Premier League as their performance has been average while Leeds looks like the team performing the worse from the three relegated teams and I think if I would have big money I would bet on them not being promoted for next season.

Saddest thing when I see top news from Saints on Superbru it's still all about JWP. As I said earlier, over-reliance on a few always bites back eventually and Leicester continue to prove -- on some level at least -- that they've always been a decent unit. I think their return to the summit is a near-given too, but with Vardy surely bowing out and fewer stars left to carry the team, this season needs prudent future planning. They did it before dilly ding, so it's not like there's no template to follow.

Doing my duty here as I just did on La Liga to get things kicked off on Friday. Am actually sick as a dog right now so just sprayed my predictions mainly with familiar attackers or home teams but there is one unmissable game in El Clasico. Man, I miss Barca having 4/1 odds against Real but I think this is going to be the kids' battleground =) GL all!

BTW, who is eddyvideostar, does he belongs to our pool? I haven't saw his name previously.
Some guy that popped up without paying the fee. I already removed at least 5 of them this season, probably even 10. Don't know why it keeps happening with this pool this season. Our league code got leaked somewhere I guess. We don't have this problem in La Liga and we never had it here before.

Damn, I am bad in this pool.

Happened with Champions League pool as well -- right at the start actually but not since. It's not a public pool either so I thought it must have been leaked somewhere. All those outsider signups also came just in a few hours on the same day so I thought maybe someone shared inadvertently on TG or somewhere. No other explanation.

Just wanted to pop in and hopefully remind people like myself that picks need to be made over the next few hours to not miss out Girona - Celta in about 4 hours.

It really is a sign of the times that I'm doubting Celta's ability to even score tonight as Girona has been one crazy upstart to the early season. Iago Aspas has been so dependable for so long that it was always natural their reliance on him would show and it certainly seems so now. My position is close enough to a prize spot that the choice isn't so easy to make.

Yes Dortmund... very big ouch Milan...

Right, must be an acca bug and I rarely recommend this anymore but I just feel the risk factor is fun tonight, so I'm going to suggest a Liverpool pad to up the odds of an Ajax upset by 20%. What? Ajax winning will be an upset against Brighton? How times have changed hmm?

Championship Round 13 completed and I am happy with my results.
I placed combo bet on Sportsbet for Ipswich winning first half and Leicester to win against Sunderland, that produced nice return for me Smiley
It sucks that Evans score own goal for Southampton in stoppage time, he just gave free point to Preston  Tongue

Leicester is firmly holding the first place and they have best attack with 27 goals, and by far best defense in league with only 7 conceded goals.
Ipswich is not far behind them and they have one match less, than there is a big gap with other teams.
Clarke from Sunderland is currently best goal scorer in league with 8 goals scored.
No time for rest, next round is scheduled for this weekend, starting Saturday.

I saw the scoreline for Saints, didn't read the match report. Must be a real pain for them -- I honestly expected them to have a far easier time than Leicester but they seem to be stuck in some kind of funk along with Leeds. Ipswich won't hold the return-to-mean barrier, so I wouln't worry about them, but the boys in white and red are going to have to knucle down to take proper advantage of like when Leeds slip.

Vardy's on 5 btw, mini-renaissance?

Oi then, anyone backing some big team to fall tonight? There are plenty to pick from, including my own Liverpool -- but I fear the most tonight are draws, particularly I feel because the favs are UEFA royalty, but you wonder if it's worth going against these fellas:

Lisbon away 7/1
Leverkusen home 14/1

Ajax to win vs Brighton is my "hello!" pick =D

Frankfurt-Dortmund would be my choice for watching but more likely will be out anyway. My picks are in, Bremen win and Freiburg win are my risks to try and climb that horrible gap to the top!
