On the current forum you can enable Quick reply:
- Profile - Look and Layout Preferences - Use quick reply on topic display: show

And the Quote buttons will work as a multi-quote button in the quick reply field.
1482  Local / Beurzen / Re: Op zoek. Weet iemand dit? on: May 28, 2014, 02:25:07 PM

1484  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] Requesting your opinions on preferences for Flash vs HTML5. on: May 27, 2014, 09:40:25 AM
No one in d bitcoin community should use flash or java for security reasons. If u do, disable it and/or use noscript

Thanks NLNico.  Can you elaborate on the security aspect?  How are they less secure?
Flash and Java are known for their 0-day vulnerabilities that hackers use to put malware/viruses on a computer on a victim that is just browsing the internet. (even without 0-day, it takes people forever to update.) Bitcoin websites could be an interesting target to host/embed such Flash/Java file because you can probably steal some bitcoins.
1485  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a 0.06BTC loan on: May 27, 2014, 04:53:43 AM
I am not trading accounts (probably even think it's bit strange for a forum) and I am not interested in it. But I can imagine there are very few people who do trade in accounts and perhaps they think it's worth it.

I am pretty sure the average person would want a different kind of collateral. So if you have another collateral offer you chances of a loan will slightly increase.

edit: also IMO it is sketchy you have a newbie, member and full member account. If you would have asked a loan on your normal full member account and you could prove that you are getting a decent signature payment, I think it would have looked better.
1486  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a 0.06BTC loan on: May 27, 2014, 04:42:23 AM
You do not really expect anyone to give you a loan like this, right?

Give collateral. Perhaps some would accept a bitcointalk account with some activity as collateral (or use escrow for it if not trusted person.) Account could be hacked though, so I wouldn't personally accept it as a collateral I think. And
you will have to make your account public.

At the moment you will obviously not get a loan.

Since many months I am still waiting to get a bonus before I will play here. Just seems irrational to me to play while other people have a free bonus. How can I get a bonus? I already "asked" in this topic before and I already emailed (without any reply) too. Username: NLNico

NLNico, you have been with us since the beginning and we appreciate you.  The bonus which you will see in your bonus money for poker is released at a rate of 15% of the rake generated.  The additional bonuses are casino bonuses which are received for play at www.BetcoinCasino.com and based on deposits and / or frequent play.  If you would like one of those bonuses based on your past deposits, you just need to login to www.BetcoinCasino.com and play a game for free or btc and you will be properly registered so that we can add bonuses to your account.  When you have a moment please forward the emails that you sent, so that we can see why this message wasn't communicated to you sooner.
Thanks, I indeed see a bonus now and will play any tourney that's in my timezone (asia) and has decent buyin/gtd Smiley also replied to your pm.

1491  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: biteasy.com donate address as 1Biteasy... on: May 26, 2014, 02:42:15 PM
It is called a "vanity address".

You can create your own with Vanitygen. Will indeed take some time depending on the length of your vanity, your luck and your PC.

There are also websites where you can get a free short vanity address and can buy longer ones. But be very careful if they get your private keys they can steal your bitcoins (there has been a vanity address service that was "hacked" and btc was stolen.) There are secure ways to do this (basically generate your own private key (offline) and give only the public key, but don't do it unless you know a lot about it IMO.

I am sure if you google a bit on "vanity address" more, you will find more info Wink
1492  Economy / Lending / Re: Poker : 0.1 BTC : W/O Collateral on: May 26, 2014, 08:45:49 AM
Any decent poker player knows about variance. There is almost no way that you can beat variance with 0.1 BTC unless you play 0.001 BI games. And if you can beat variance and if you do have bankroll management, then I highly doubt that you need a loan.

Even besides that logic. There is absolutely no reason for us to trust you.
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: May 26, 2014, 03:15:08 AM
I think the 0% commission is only when you have investment loss, not gambling loss.
1494  Other / Meta / Re: Sorting out users with a negative rating on: May 26, 2014, 01:59:37 AM
If you sort it on negative trust, the topics will be shown in exactly the same order (ok, not literally, but you get the idea.) Legit loan requests are just very rare.

Also "trust" should be pretty irrelevant. I mean, someone with positive trust can just as easily scam. Just always make sure u or an escrow has sufficient collateral.

edit: I realize now you said "sort out", but anyway I think it will give a false impression of "sorting out the scammers, only legit people left now". People might misunderstand it and automatically trust those who are not sorted out.

1496  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: May 25, 2014, 01:49:53 PM
is it allowed to buy the account of another player?
Yes.

or can this lead to problems with the SWC team?
Yes.

do you help with account sells? I want to make sure
that the seller doesn´t scam me by retrieving his account details after i pay him...
No.

Would you help by deleting any e-mail adresses from his account or even escrow the (small) BTC amount? )
No.

Basically they allow it, but don't support it. You should make sure to buy only accounts from trusted sellers and use escrow if needed. FYI CardShark659 is pretty trusted in the btc poker community IMO (yet I almost never vouch for anyone, just fyi Tongue)

And for at least 30 days from the buy, your new account can be considered as joint ownership. So if the player who sold the account, is playing on a new account, and you are both playing at the same time, it could be considered as violation of the rules. As far as I know that _never_ happened yet, but in theory it means that you could get a problem with it. You can find more about that specific situation here: http://grindabit.com/index.php/topic,693.0.html

It is btw pretty common to trade accounts at seals. Real problems occur almost never (except for some scammers trying to sell accounts they don't have etc.) Most people are not even aware of this "joint ownership rule", but I figured I would share anyway Wink
1497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just paid the $100K USD via BTC to become a Platinum Member of TBF. on: May 25, 2014, 08:45:30 AM
Just for info: There is an image proxy, so tracking data/IPs and even CSRFs attacks against others sites are not possible (anymore) through the image function of the forum.

TF's reasons for using these images is being discusses in this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623521.0
1498  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit Bitcoin short term investments? on: May 25, 2014, 05:22:03 AM
Most important: stay away from ponzis, HYIPs, anything offering insane ROIs and probably most IPOs (unless you know what you are doing.)

In theory one should say that you can only trust your bitcoins to yourself and any other exchange, webwallet or site is a risk.

That being said, I am happy with my investment and profit on Just-Dice so far. And I personally also have an investment at prcdice.eu even though that is a small site compared to JD (but I do have relatively bigger % of the house and made relatively more profit.)

Just remember to not risk too much into 1 site IMO, but stay away from sketchy and new sites too.

1500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just paid the $100K USD via BTC to become a Platinum Member of TBF. on: May 24, 2014, 03:38:09 AM
Is it just me, or are some replying after only reading this thread's title, let alone the OP, let further alone the latest posts clearing showing that with reason I made the whole shit up?

I am wondering if there is a connection between those posters and their signatures.

Anyway, I like the way you brought this to our attention. But if I understand it correctly "now" they have different bitcoin addresses for each membership payment. Is there any policy that they will still be transparent with that and show each payment on request of the community? So we could still see a 100K USD transaction around that time they joined.

Btw, my signature doesn't pay per post.
