The "new onwer" isn't nice, he changed the faucet system to primedice alike, it says i need to wager 1 btc to enhance my faucet? Change in score calculationProvably fair algorithm has been updated for all ongoing Cryptour tournaments. Thanks to suggestions from ndnhc. Not only is it now less confusing, there is also now lack of obscured information that only the operator knows. Factors for score calculation are now: - Transaction ID (txid) of the transaction
- First confirming block of the transaction
- nonce of the first confirming block
- Tournament address
Refer to https://cryptour.com/provably-fair for more info. With this change, players are also able to find out if they win before tournament concludes. Winning entries are indicated with a check mark with green background (See Pilot tournament for example). Payouts will be made once tournament ends (closing block is reached). A word of advice: if your entry is a winning one, do check from time to time before tournament closes to ensure that it is not overtaken! All existing entries are now updated successfully with the new scoring system with no issues on integrity. Good luck! Great improvement. I'm sure you are going to get a lot of players |

The monthly best poster prize wouldn't cause people to leave their signature campaign. The pool of money isn't going to be huge and it isn't going to give everyone BTC. Members would rather go for stable and guaranteed signature campaign than non guaranteed ones. The ignore list isn't going to work very well either, taking a look at dannyhamilton's ignore list, I admit that it does reduce the amount of spammers that can be seen, it also potentially blocks out good posters. The main reason for signature spam is largely due to the automated signature campaign. They are nowhere as accurate as human checking. Perhaps the forum can implement an regulation for signature campaign operators to check the post manually.

I don't think it works like that. Your bet stake is rounded down to the 5% first and then profit and losses are applied to that new bet stake.
So you won't go down 50% at once ever.

I would like to propose a better system. The 5% limit is really troublesome. My bets are usually more than 5%, but it gets rounded down. So when I make a 0.01 bet on high odds and lose and a 0.1 bet on low odds and win, my ROI goes down, while it shouldn't, imo. A better way is to take out the bankroll part and the 5% limit. (10x can stay, no problem with that). Bet with whatever amount you want. So, ROI = total of payouts/total of bets. Edit: In that example, it would be (say odds for the first was 3x and the second was 1.2x) 1st case: Bet = 0.005 Payout = 0 (-5%) Bet = 0.005 Payout = 0.006 (+1%) ROI = -4% This one: Bet = 0.01 Payout = 0 Bet = 0.1 Payout = 0.12 ROI = 0.12/0.11 = 9.09% The negative% kind of thing is the reason why my ROI went down from some 80% to 12%. Edit2: Since ROI is a %, both the existing and proposed ones are independent of the bet size. |
