I have around 20$ to bet and I really need a win today. Please help me getting a good bet. I might give a small reward if I win.
Deposit $0.00203 to a dice site and roll at x9900. If you win, you would have another $20. If not, this year is not very lucky at gambling, May be try again after 2 years? Tip: If you are looking for entertainment, head to any casino and play for fun with play money. You don't really have to lose anything.

I'll ask again since nobody answered last time, . Where do the funds for the rain come from? Site profit or investor bankroll/profit? All promos/rain/faucet payouts are paid for by the site. Investors are only ever involved in game profits/losses. Thanks for that info! I was wondering about the faucet as well. The downside to this is it looks like an unsustainable business model right now... the amount given out is greater than the site is taking as its commission. Do you have a personal/site investment in the bankroll to help offset this as well? It is a sustainable business model. You need to spend money to make any business grow faster. I estimated the cost for rain to be around 1 BTC a month. The house takes a 0.34% fee of every bet. Quite reasonable and investor-friendly. Also, I think there is an investment of around 15-20 BTC at 2x kelly risk not quite sure about that tho.

Bitcoin is a totally awesome digital currency invented by Satoshi Nakamoto and accepted by all sorts of people world-over, a payment network that uses peer-to-peer technology with no central authority or middlemen and characterized by very low or no fees and the uber-cool near-anonymity. or if you don't mind, Bitcoin is a totally awesome digital currency accepted by Primedice. username : ndnhc

Its sad to see that you decided to auction the site.. I don't see anyone else capable enough to do what you did for the site, the investors and the devs.. But then again, real life is more important, and for that i salute you for it..
What happens if no one bids after the deadline? And incase someone bids and he/she got no competition, will he automatically win? Bidding 50btc is easy for big competitors of moneypot, Its gonna be sad to see some competitor site bidding for the site and winning, and just for the sake of abandoning it.. Every big business will do anything just to remove a competitor, even if it means spending and buying it..
Also what will happen to the current apps that are currently hosted or powered by moneypot if the new owner decides to just drop the project after buying it.
Again, its sad to see the site up on auction, And i salute you for what you did and have done for the bitcoin community. I wish you all the best in life.
Regards, Uni
I doubt someone would buy it and just trash the site. And since he's looking for reputable people, he would hopefully choose someone that wants to really boost the site up even more and promote it more heavily. unibtc's is certainly a valid point. There are always cases where a company buys out its competitor and then closes it down. Also, it is possible that he may not be able to manage it as well as Ryan does. SatoshiDice last year (it is going okay at the moment) is a good example to consider. But, yeah, considering the number of competitors here, I don't think it someone would actually intent to do it. Moreover, Ryan could easily decline the offer if he doesn't find it in the general interest to proceed with the sale. I'm far from qualified to give legal advice. You'll need to speak with a lawyer who knows the laws of where you live.
From my experience, there is no qualified advice when it comes to bitcoin. I actually worked on a unique gambling site for 6 months and ended up not being able to release it. There is simply no way to launch a bitcoin dice site that's able to compete and is legal. The problem isn't even license fees(150k+/year if you want to be able to offer your service in the whole world). It's the simple fact that you will have to collect personal data from people who sign up and when you compare that to simply putting in a name on PD there is no way that members of the bitcoin community will come play at such a site. Also a Costa Rican company provides absolutely no protection according to the several lawyers i have talked to.(Only got this information after i had already made one l0l) Anyways, sad to see you sell the site. Couldn't think of many people in the bitcoin (gambling) community who are so passionate and have so innovative ideas and projects. The amount of work and thought you put into your sites made me trust you even when i hadn't seen you on bitcointalk. This could be the last good bitcoin gambling investing opportunity gone if the wrong person buys it. I do trust that you will choose the right person though. Yup. i took off all my money from MP for now.. sadly ;(
You don't really have to. Ryan is still the owner and is in control of Moneypot and its bankroll. He would announce once there is an ownership change or something worth the notice. Well, it is up to you to decide what to do with your money.

In this regard we would like to do a survey to know your opinion on two questions: 1) What do you think if we tie the expiration of the auction randomically to mined blocks? 2) Do you prefer auctions from higher value but related to quorum or auctions much smaller but with no quorum?
Please give us your opinion.
1) That would be more interesting. 2) Smaller with no quorum, at least at the start. Or may be both? lol

Just two things, as far as I am aware of.
One, you could learn some money management lessons. Making mistakes now would save you from screwing up your life at a later stage, provided you are not entirely stupid. Two, you find a fun way to waste your time.
Yeah, and Three, you end up being a math geek AND know SHA two fifty sixes and nonces-next-door.

how you made 30% ROI? i can't see...
you wasted 70 credits that cost 0.1 BTC... the prize for the auction is 0.1BTC... it's 0% ROI... where other players is all on negative ROI, and Houser is with all players bid profit you waste 0.155 btc to buy 112 credits... you waste 70... to earn 0.1 that's equivalent to 70 -.-
EDIT: well, i need to go now... if you can prove me i'm wrong i ask you apologize for all this, if you can't, i want your soul..., i'll back later bye
0.1 + 0.1 + 12 credits > 0.155. No? seriously? I did put everything here: i don't understand your point ndnhc, can you explain that? and i know you are very experience guy in this forum, you won't do a math mistake like this. what you did is basically cut all bids and give house free profit, ... what's not fair. because no one will bid more than the pot value
waitting for a explanation...
also we have some strange things like... a problem with a bid and ndnhc received a extra 0.1 BTC... ndnhc offering to pay the 0.0028 from this another guy... it looks like ndnhc is the chainbid owner for me
Nah, let me explain what happened. I bought 112 credits because I wanted to win the first 0.1 BTC option. It was undoubtedly +EV, and I won it. But I was simply reloading it, after kind of 10 minutes since I had no idea how to claim it, when I saw the timer suddenly counting from 2 minutes or so. I was confused and placed a few bids and was beaten by a series of bids placed in the last 2 seconds. But OP honored both considering that the bug was not any players' fault and did a pretty nice job in paying out both winners. He could simply have refunded the credits and voided the auction. I appreciate him for what he did. Now, you see, I only have 0.052 to break-even. Given that I cannot cash it out directly, all I could is to beat the last minute bidder, one guy who makes a lot of bets in the last seconds. I made a series of bets such that this guy would need to have more than the number of credits I bid to beat me to it. I had lost like 20 credits to this guy, and had only 82 left, couldn't risk it anymore. So, I played safe and went near all-in to win 0.1 BTC. It also beats the logic you gave such that if I was OP, I would be bidding just what I would need to win. Certainly not like 70 credits. I also have a PM from Chainbid, and all my transactions are available. tl;dr I started with 0.1540 BTCI now have 0.1 BTC + 0.1 BTC + 12 credits Which part doesn't make sense to you? Edit: If you participated in a lottery draw, and you were declared the winner, and later the host said some were not able to buy lottery tickets (I know this is a stupid example ) and extends the lottery for another day and declared another winner, would you accept that? I, by the way, got the same rights. And it was settled generously by the OP, and I thank him for the same. For the helping a fellow human being to claim his prize, is it such a big deal? This is the first trust feedback I got back in 2013: Jaaawsh -2: -1 / +0 2014-09-04 0.00200000 Sent me a couple mBTC so I could get a betting promo. Really appreciate it! It is kinda mind-blowing that I could be so many people at once. You don't have to hide behind an alt. You can raise your concerns openly. i want your soul. Not for sale.

1/10000 chance not so high to win 1 btc free, i made some little job to evite people only posting and wait for btc in his wallet, so he must verify his own bet and alert me if he win...
The probability doesn't matter. In case someone wins would you actually pay him the amount, 1 BTC (that is $325 at current market price)? It takes the player's time in understanding the game, which doesn't seem very simple tbh, and in participating it, and verifying it. Time is money, so it is very recommended that you prove you have the funds and escrow it as a guarantee to the players. To prove the bankroll, sign an address you control with 1 BTC plus balance, with your username and today's date. To escrow the fund, get in touch with any of the various trusted escrows in the forum, who will hold the amount till the contest ends.

Your ID is 23 you have bet from 3 to 80 (-7 from other user) = 73 credits = 0.001375*73 = 0,100375 BTC You bet 0,1 BTC to win 0,1 BTC?
something wrong in your math
Please read what I wrote. Your observation is short-sighted. I made a 0.05 BTC+ profit. ~ 30% ROI. (now I am boasting ) You could say I converted 70 or 73 or whatever credits to 0.1 BTC. You don't see any sense in that?

Won the auction. But darn! All I needed was like 1 ticket and I used up like 70 tickets expecting competition. Hello, I won it. Waiting to receive prize, I have added my bitcoin address, btw, Thanks ChainBid !! Congratulations! Please go to https://www.chainbid.com/my-victory and follow the instructions Hi ChainBid, unfortunately I do not have a balance amount of 0.0028 BTC in my wallet, so it seems I can not pay to be able to receive the prize. Is there a solution or the other way? Can you cut amounted to 0.0028, from a total prize amount of 0.1 BTC ?, so that the rest can I receive ?, let me know the best solution, Thanks Can help. Can you give the address where you are to send 0.0028 BTC?

"Auction is not almost active"
5min left... bug?
Yes, little bug. We delayed for 5 min this deadline This is unfair. The auction reopened and I was bidding. While it was still running, and I placed a bid, it vanished again. The timer DID NOT run out. Edit: The first time, I won it. Then when you reopened (I wasn't reloading this thread, lucky I found out) it and I saw I was outbid, I outbid it, then I was outbid, then I did it again, then I was outbid, the timer hadn't run out and I couldn't outbid the next.
