Statistic from the references clearly show that rollin is far more superior to BetterBets in term of volume of around 5 times more ( for now  Smiley )

It is actually just 2 to 3 times (from my estimate). There were a few spikes (just) this week that pushed it up to 5 times. Smiley
1762  Other / Meta / Re: Make negative trust add units of evil to your IP? on: September 28, 2015, 05:47:48 PM
1) This would in effect, cause scams to be somewhat moderated which is something that the forum is strongly against.

Not really. They will just register again with another IP.

Quote
2) There are several examples of people receiving negative trust (sometimes from multiple people) when there was not really any kind of scam

Yeah, that is correct. Number of negative trusts just depends on how popular the issue was rather than how serious it was.

Quote
3) This will potentially allow serial scammers to avoid detection because they will know right away that they are associated with their previous account who was caught scamming, so they can try new/additional things to avoid detection until they do not have to pay a fee. This is important because it is very rare that very new users will be able to scam, as you generally need to build it up a little bit, which takes time, so while it is being built up, it would be possible for BadBear to send it negative trust to warn others.

hmm, that is a valid point. Smiley
1763  Other / Meta / Re: hilariousandco gave wrong trust on: September 28, 2015, 05:37:39 PM
LOL, that wasn't really necessary, only a few clever people would use a jr. member as an escrow, and those few are still very likely to fall for it. Grin

@OP why don't you just lock that thread? It isn't very likely that something would happen with your escrow thread still open. Tongue
1764  Other / New forum software / Re: Featurerequest: Give other users the right to moderate a self-moderated thread on: September 28, 2015, 05:29:31 PM
why? self-moderated threads is only useful for deleting posts. and 1 person should be enough for that.

Why is there a self-moderated thread in the first place Huh

Every single experience I had with it wasn't good.

it have plenty of uses. to stop trolling, spam, derails, flame wars, etc.
some people just delete every replies once they are finished with the thread though.

Well, if you see it like that, then his suggestion is pretty good. Smiley

For me, the only instances my posts were deleted in a self-moderated thread was when when I raise concerns that the OP doesn't like. like say warning a pretending-to-be-something-else-ponzi-scam or even suggesting escrow.

Well, then, how about newbies can't start self-moderated threads? Grin

1766  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BetterBets.io presents - The game Changing, Wager WARZ Competition ! on: September 28, 2015, 05:13:51 PM
hmm, need clarification on these parts:

Which two weeks? And the week starts from Sunday or Monday?
Is the wagered amount taken from dicesites.com or from other sources, like say the rollin.io's weekly promotions?

Would the odds be the one at the time I bet or when it ends? (I hope it is the former, but need to be sure)

Would bets that does not meet the minimum or maximum bet criteria be refunded?

Q. Which two weeks?

Answer: Starting October 1st the volume will begin tallying up between the two sites it will last 14 days. This part of the promo (Wager WARZ) will be open to place bets on the site you want until 4th of October 23.59.59 GMT+0. So get your bets in before then!

Q. Is the wagered amount taken from dicesites.com or from other sources?

Answer: NLNico is a great and trusted 3rd party for stats, only this site will be used to judge the volumes of both sites. www.dicesites.com

Q. Would the odds be the one at the time I bet or when it ends?

Answer: Yes they are fixed based on the odds you place bets at.

Q. Would bets that do not meet the minimum or maximum bet criteria be refunded?

Answer: No, bets that are over or under the min/max will be treated as a donation, keep bets between "Minimum bet is 0.001BTC and the maximum bet is 0.05BTC"

The main promo that goes with Wager WARZ is this for reference:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1065847.msg12537193#msg12537193

Thanks Smiley

1769  Economy / Gambling / Poll. What will you do? on: September 28, 2015, 03:24:49 PM
You go to this site and deposit 0.01BTC. You accidentally click roll hi button when the multiplier was set to 10x, rolls a 99.99 and win 0.1BTC.

What will you do?

had acccdentally sent a wrong amount to the wrong address, and had to cancel out by betting proportionately on the other two sides. This caused my ROI to drop. Well, I didn't lose much, so I am fine.

Well, same happened to me. Sad
The competition hasn't started yet, so there is no problem there, lol.

If the bet was placed before say 1 hour or something before the match I think you can contact support@directbet.eu and request them to cancel the bet. But a better idea is to bet proportionately on all other things and request to cancel all 3. That way even if something wrong happens, you won't lose the entire amount.
