I  gave all my nxt's, and gave 0 to the internet Smiley

♥★☆■□◇○♡

I am a stakeholder and i am shocked to see nxt so expansive. thats why i get out of it.

Nxt dev look top notch tho, but if the source is public soon, i'll go with a better distributed Coin using it.

Nxt devs should be rich, not stakeholders saying "we took a risk"... what a risk yeah, it's sooo normal to make x3000% ROI.

just like that ? leaving for a clone because of WTF ? Let's me tell you something. Original Coke is always the COKE. People go for and respect original ideas. I am not a stake holders and I bought NXT expensively because I like the idea and believe in the developers. Now the community around NXT is growing nicely.

I wish there is a way to compensate contributors deservingly. But the truth is no one knows who are stakeholders, perhaps some people announced that they sent money to the genesis block can be identified. But that's still less than twenty people. There are 73 accounts sending money to genesis block but one person may send multiple times. No one knows for sure if that happens or not. BCNext has a team. Who can be ascertain that BCnext team not already have 40-50% of total NXT  ?

The only solution at this point to me is that if you believe in NXT project, you can buy NXT yourself. Why it is much more expensive than what the stake holders get. It is still very cheap comparatively to Bitcoin, Litecoin and even Mastercoin, Quark, or Protoshare. And remember you don;t know who the stake holders are so it is no point to envy or blame them.

The positive energy has already been built up around this project. It is original and it is innovative. Let's not waste it. It is easy to technically emulate something but it is very difficult to build a network and energy around a project to make it sustainable. Bitcoin is one example. Many later clones can be technically better than Bitcoin but they lack the authenticity, the network and the energy of an original idea. And ultimately they all fail.

eMunie promise of keeping its value stable is not credible because they don't have the ability and means to do do. Since when people selling eMu en mass, they have to have a huge reserve of dollar to back the money up otherwise its price against dollar will have to fall. They won't be able to do that.

When people decide to sell eMunie on mass all creation of new coins stops right away. Also the foundation will be backed up by several million dollars to do some initial regulation to stabilize the price in the first weeks.

It has to be understood that in any market price has always been acting as a necessary signal to guide the behavior of the market participants. For example: with bitcoin market if you are holding 100 bitcoin, when the price of bitcoin raising you would be inclined to sell them to more willing buyer, but when the price falls by half, you may decide to keep them all since you evaluate that the potential of the bitcoin is higher than the bitcoin's price right now. All bitcoin market participants follow the same process using the current price as signal as if they are many ships and liners following the lighthouse to reach the shore  The true price is discovered organically.
Now you don't have the price signal here so the price of eMunie is artificially kept up. This is going to be a mess

Of course you have the price signal. The fiat/emunie exchange is buildin into the system, and the system can react accordingly to stabilize the price while keeping up with demand.

Well, let's how it going to turn out. I am not going to comment more since it is a NXT thread. I am going to buy a bit of eMu to be able to witness the unfolding first hand. All I am saying is that you are not going to be able to keep the value of the money stable. That's an empty promise. It is good to experiment though since it does not cost that much to fix the software later on.

Hi just a friendly suggestion on eMunie. Don't try to be a currency. All the fancy model of dynamic supply is not going to keep eMunie stable. You will just confuse users. Be in the category that make Bitcoin a success, a digital asset and payment system.

you mistake his intent.  a currency is exactly what hes going after

I am not mistaken. Just saying trying to emulate fiat currency is a mistake. Fiat currency is a financial instrument. Financial instrument is always backed by real and tangible assets. Emunie as well as Bitcoin are not backed by anything. They are digital commodities.

Please inform us all on the real & tangible assets that back fiat?

I actually tried to say back by "real and intangible assets". After Bretton Wood, some people wonder what backs the U.S$ when the gold convertibility for US$ stops. Modern currency don't need gold backing because they are backed by the government's decree to make them a legal tender and by the government's ability to impose taxes on its citizens. You could be jailed if you don't accept U.S$. It is a powerful backing I would say.
For a foreign currency to keep its relative value against $, it is backed by that countr's debt denominated in $ and the ability to export to earn $. Still, it is very costly for any country to keep a fixed exchange rate when the capital has full mobility.
Well unless, you can make a certain nation to adopt eMu, you are in dreamland if you think it could act as a currency.

Regardless of launched or not, surely then a test network would be a better solution.

Don't worry about eMunie, Ive developed much larger systems in the past and know how to QA and test...you just worry about Nxt Wink

eMunie will succeed because its founder has patience enough to launch when he knows his product is ready. With eMunie it's quality and professionalism all the way, and that's why eMunie will be a huge success when it is launched.

I disagree with this statement. eMunie, as far as I understand, doesn't have a fixed coin supply, from what I have read eMunie money supply is flexible to demand, which is exactly the same system as fiat currencies use right now. Central banks provide as much liquidity into the system as populations require. So eMunie is just a decentralized way of doing the same, which is very inflationary. In my opinion, eMunie is not a competitor of NXT at all. If the money supply isn't fixed, the money system isn't even worth looking at, no matter what other fancy features are included in the package. So, there is absolutely no reason to be spooked by eMunie.

eMunie is not inflationary. If there is a demand on the free market for 10% more coins, 10% new coins are created, but stakeholders receive free coins, so their assets value stays the same.

eMunie promise of keeping its value stable is not credible because they don't have the ability and means to do do. Since when people selling eMu en mass, they have to have a huge reserve of dollar to back the money up otherwise its price against dollar will have to fall. They won't be able to do that.
