Yeah, these kids will go far: Not the Java crap that NXT uses (with all the code in one file lol)
thanks for telling me about this. i definitely don't want to put all of my money in 1 basket so if other talented developers surface with the intention of copying the ideas of nxt with all new code ill definitely be investing in that. its the ideas that are important not the specific implementation. more competition in this space is definitely good. with that being said i already see some evidence in their post indicating that they may not really understand how decentralized networks work. anyway its all going to come down to how well they can answer my questions. More than 90% it is a scam. They boasted that all features are near ready which pretty much pure bull given how difficult it is to do one new thing. It would be more believable if they are more modest.

Who are the developers ? given all kind of IPO scams recently. No one is going to give you money unless you can show some credibility. At least show that you know some technical details of what you are talking about. Explain the algorithm to ensure the distributed consensus ?

With the amount of BTC gathered, everyone would hire competent devs and make it succeed + maximizing profit!
i know some people who would hire some competent hookers from this money. this makes more sense.

Why not show off how smart you really are, just post some actual logic errors that lead to people losing money? My guess is that you tried to and couldn't find any, so you decided to make a copy of it and call it NGC.
That indeed is an interesting idea. So I wait till every gets fixed and mature. Then I reboot NXT. How do you like that plan? LOL at your naive sense of how to build a successful business. Even if you can replicate even a technically better version of NXT in 6 months, the best you can do is to create something akin to Quark or Doge compared to Bitcoin. Even that would be unlikely with current situation. Every decent coder could replicate Twitter in a week still Twitter is worth billion of $ with none of competitor in that space. In 6 months, I couldn't care less that NXT's codes are 100 percent open. Imitation is the best praise someone said.

It is not expensive or difficult to make a coin. You can pre-order here http://coingen.io/, cost less than 1 BTC for a comprehensive package which you can pre-mine and sell for thousands. I want to see: PetCoin BeerCoin FuckCoin TipCoin BlueCoin WhiteCoin BlackCoin BBCoin (bieberCoin) and more .... You name it, go to http://coingen.io/ to pre-roder otherwise someone would take that coin first.

PLEASE just give me the respect that I feel I have earned and certainly more than the pre-pretty charts yuriygeorge!! PLEASE do not accuse me of being dishonest, that really hurts me.
Hope you haven't perceived my comments about giving people a 'Heads Up!', in regard to differences between trading NXT/XRP and NXT/BTC, as disrespectful. Hi James, earlier I just suggested that you open a thread and introduce peercovers to newcomers at two main nxt forums: nxtcrypto and nextcoin. There many people want to get in NXT at an alternative exchange. There your efforts would be well spent. Here as much effort you spent on writing, it would be lost in the sea of pages after an hour. You are of course welcome to write where you want but isn't that a good suggestion ? Thanks you for all your contributions so far. I can barely keep up with this thread. I doubt I will be able to manage monitoring other threads. I know, what if I get someone from ripple land to do that? Can I promise them they won't get flamed to death? James I am sure Nxtcrypto forum would welcome the presence of Peercover exchange. Also, NxtChg exchange has operated an independent thread in Nextcoin so far without issues. There will certainly be some haters but users in general would welcome an alternative exchange, imho.

Looks like you are his friend now and do not think racionally (or haven't got as much experience with catching hackers as me, who had been dealing with thousands of cheaters) Ha ha ha. Do not confuse my being friendly to a known criminal during an interrogation with me being his friend. He deserves respect as a human being but he is guilty as sin and I know that for a fact. The only question is, just how guilty is he? I know I am a little off balance at the moment and that's why I've pulled back for a day and brought everybody here up to speed so I can listen to your ideas. All my efforts so far have been tracking this guy down in the real world to get some leverage over him, and I have accomplished that goal. Now that he sees me as a real threat to whether or not he spends next week in his own bed or a police holding cell, he's not going anywhere. He's reading this right now. So I can now take the time to go back and do the necessary homework you describe. I know the importance of a detailed and complete timeline and your data is exactly what I am going to piece together next, so thanks for your contribution. I will announce my findings in later posts and also update my "interim report" as a central holding point for the accumulating pieces of the puzzle such as the ones you give. Trust me, there's gonna be a Final Report. And nope, I ain't got your experience a-catchin' hackers. I'm just a poor ole country boy (and MIT grad) doin' the gosh-darn best I can. Thanks ricky for the work you have done. I am unfortunately no detective even though I love to read Sherlock Homes and Hercule Poirot

Come on 10 pages of votes on Cryptsy and still nothing. Obviously he has something against it? I don't believe exchanges will list NXT until the source code is reviewed and tested and tried and got a few weeks/months of brute-forcing by hackers and all those things. DGEX is pretty brave, high fees are justified. Agree. Clones are easy to list because they use already-proven codes. NXT codes need to go through the test of time first. Don't expect we jump into a big exchange anytime soon.

Yeah but still, he just forged 8 consecutive blocks... Well, that is definitely a lot of consecutive blocks. Question, why all of the icons in my clients sometime disappear (as of now) ?

He surely does not reply often. But this does not mean that it's a scam..
Even if initially it was a scam, the developer may create this coin, in order to gain more. And why not?
such a wishful thinking.

Haha, we will see a lot of scam coins arising from the success of Nxt. Now that people have reviewed how innovative the source is, they are going to copy, unfortunately their copies will contain the fatal flaw! i am thinking about setting up a special taskforce to brutally destroy these clone coins at their infancy

It should be corrected that www.nxtcrypto.org is hosted and maintained by QBTC. So she should be nominated for this site in site category. Her profile is here https://nextcoin.org/index.php?action=profile;u=498opticalc has also done a lot of works in setting up nodes, moderating forum, so I am nominating opticalc for setting up and maintaining nxtcrypto forum. his profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=165191There are so many people who have done volunteer works for the NXT development so far. I hope everyone should get at least something for their efforts. Some NXT original stake holders have done a lot for NXT. They deserve honorable mentions, but perhaps NXT rewards should go to smaller NXT stake holders, imho.
