Some new cards are coming with a mining block, commonly known as error 43 if you modify their bios and atikmdag-patcher won't work on them. Probably manufactures dont want the bios of the cards to be modified anymore, but the interesting thing is that the card if not modified will hang every now and then if mining.
This is probably the end of mining as we know.

It's 2019 now. How much hashrate is R9 380 or R9 370x doing in mining ETH or other Ethash coins? Best to mine these cards with Windows 10 or Linux OS?
I have these old cards kept in storage. Maybe it can be still useful to mine Ethash or CN coins?
The R9 370X is basically the R9 270X rebrand which is a rebrand of the Radeon 7850. So its an old old GPU and it featured max 2GB of ram. So you definately can't mine ETH with it since the DAG is well over 3GB. Your best bet is XMR but the profitability will be very low. Same with the R9 380, if you got the 2GB you can't mine ETH but if you got the 4GB version then you should be able too. Don't recall the speed, I think they got like 20MH/s or so but used more power than a regular RX 470. If you got cheap power then go for it. LOL you can use google? 370x 2GB?  it has 4GB The 380 go up to 25mh with some optimizations. |

this is probably an old question, does any one know how to enable PhoenixMiner to display accepted/rejected shares and HW errors in AM ?
is this even possible? Thanks for the question. I assume you refer to if this can be reported per-GPU. It's only Claymore miner that supports reporting this information per GPU from what I've seen. For Phoenix Miner it's only a total number of accepted/rejected shares. But in the console you can see it per GPU. |

Also, you can't put 13 RX cards on one rig. The 13th card must be an Nvidia.

This is why flashing cards is stupid.
So the card had a three year warranty.
You lost it .
I have said over and over and over don’t flash bios.
Don’t over clock
Don’t run fans at 100%.
I have been through about 450 GPUs.
Only six or seven RMAS. Everyone was honored.
So my cards last three or more years.
Now of course you lose on power and has by not using best bios.
But if your power deal is good it does not matter.
Sorry for your loss due to,flashing.
And how will you get good hashrates? AMD Polaris without bios mod? Make the right settings in bios and you never must RMA a card. In 3 years 1 RMA and this with bios mods and overclocking. We still mining with 150 Cards. Warranty on polaris is 2 years so it is stupid if some don´t flash the cards, because they will running longer than 2 years easily. |

Phoenix Miner 4.2c have full support AMD drivers up to 19.4.3. On later drivers miner woudn't use optimized and double kernels and may (and will) cause many rejected shares.
We need miner update to use new drivers...
why would you want anything above 18.6.1 for polaris? wouldn't it be nice to have an option for devfee in ZIL? along with coin switching for the time there's no POW on ZIL...  For full support AMD cards on Windows 10 x64 1903 drivers must be at least 19.5.2. My AMD cards run fine with 18.5.1 and 18.6.1 on Windows 10 1903. Old drivers havn't support for Windows 1903 version. 18.5.1 and 18.6.1 is more than year old. They maybe work, but can cause system errors and instability. Options in Radeon Settings may not work. For example, didn't work Crossfire settings... I like Phoenix miner but didn't like his drivers dependence... Claymore's miner didn't have it. Phoenix faster Claymore's miner about 1% (including some lower fee), but with Claymore's miner I can use latest drivers. So I forced to use Claymore's miner. It's sad but true... I have no instability or errors, all work like a charm. Crossfire option? Why i need crossfire settings? And i don´t need any Radeon settings, i flash the bios and thats it. |

I'm sorry, this is not a bug. NEWBI can't work together with burst and bhd，It's independent with others, It means you have to make a choice. To mine NEWBI or others.

Just to let you know that Windows 10 is free if you don't activate it.
Not free, you pay for it with headaches and downtime  YES downtime by silly noobs XD can't hear it anymore, stupid windows noob kids XD Windows 10 is best mining OS Platform for new and advanced users. All other Linux OS or so are for kids who don´t unterstand mining. Because it is plug and play. Windows 10 is ready in 10min and can run over month or years without downtimes and it is for free. |

using PoC2 plotfiles and beeing active is BHD, Burst and Boom.
@ Villentretenmerth: BHD shouldnt be put on the same level as Boom, which has recently proven to be a scam.

And how you checked that your AM Installation is not defect? I think it is a problem with your PC, my Awesomeminer version use only 260mb RAM with 40 Miner and many rules.
A other Instance with 20 miner uses only 175mb Ram. So i can´t believe that 700 uses so much.
Maybe Patrike can say how much ram AM use per miner.

another Problem with the new Version 6.5.8
i have to restart AM every morning because AM allocates all available RAM (over 13 GB - i have it running on a very fast PC with 16 GB Ram) after about 20 hours running. AM is not responding correct - i have to wait about 10 seconds for every click ...
after restart everything works fine again (AM needs 2.6 GB RAM) for about a day... then same procedure again...

Then your AM installation is defect or with your windows is something wrong. I use AM on a windows pc with 4GB Ram and mining with CPU and GPU in backround, no impacts and it runs over month. |

hmm.... Die Seiten hab ich eben auch gefunden... und noch einen Thread mit 100 Seiten wo jemand die Miningsoftware macht und 4% haben will.. Auch zu dem Teil gibts schon 100 Seiten wo Leute was geschrieben haben. Das Thema ist schon über 1 Jahr aktuell und noch immer sind die Dinger nicht konkurrenzfähig. Und was für eine Leistung? Jeder spricht und schreibt von Leistung usw. Aber was für Leistung? Gibts hier irgendwelche schlüssigen und reelle Zahlen? In den Video auf der HP macht das ding 1500 Mh/s bei nexus - heißt knapp über 2 Dollar am Tag und dann ziehst da noch die Stromkosten ab und das für eine Karte die 5000€ kostet? Gib mir 5000€ und ich zauber dir ein RIG was was 10x Profitabler ist. |

When will there be wallet windows? I wonder why some projects prefer to just compile their deals on Linux and OSX. It's known that Windows caters to most people. Yes we need a windows wallet. Or a more detailed way how to install on ubuntu 19.04. I am very, very new to Linux and I tried it, but it did not work. I know it is no problem for Linux guys, so i think a more detailed description with step one by one would be great. |
