Bin da mal heute über FPGA gestolpert..

Habe nur ältere Beiträge gefunden, aber nichts genaueres..

Wie sieht es mit sowas hier aus.?

https://fpga.guide/en/top-fpgas/

Hi "DiskCoin",

I was very interested when i first saw the chance of a "NEW" hdd mineable coin. I love POC coins.....
but

Seems like a copy of BTCHD...

1)   Why make it based on POC2 plots.....that surely means that the guys who already have 100's of TB already plotted will simply have yet another coin to mine in massive amounts, completely freezing out any newbies....i mean triple mining, seriously.
2)   What is with the only 40% reward. Why so low. Why force me to stake? What's in it for me, and you? I assume that if i am not staking, that my missing 60% goes somewhere. To you perhaps?

Not the greatest way to pre-lanch a coin.

Let's see the code, and see some transparency please.

I'm ready, sat here waiting, with my single 8TB drive.

J

Just had a quick look @ BTCHD, their current network size is "Full network capacity 1434.81 PB", so you really want to triple mine against those sats?

1.We all love the POC; 2.The POC2 mechanism is a proven mechanism, with large community base; 3.Adding the Staking mechanism is based on economic model considerations. We believe that people in the community can benefit from the Staking mechanism.; 4.Huge existing capacity is indeed a problem, we are studying the impact of this. And finally, thanks for your attention.

1) The only people who love POC2 are the ones with PB's of FREE storage, if you have to buy the drives, then there will never be an ROI (i've mined Burst (nefore it was Burst), and all its spinoffs, so have some history
2) With regards the staking, you havent answered my question...If i don't stake, but win a block, so i only get 40% reward, where does the other 60% go?

Sorry that forgot to reply to your question about Staking. The proportion of coins that need Staking is not simply fixed or decrease progressively. For the first 1800 blocks, the miner would get 40% block reward at a fixed proportion, the others will be contributed to the Diskcoin Foundation to cover project development costs, promotion costs, and as a fund to support related ecological projects. And from the block height of 1801, an algorithm named the DES(the Dynamic Equilibrium Staking)will be activated. The DES will automatically adjust the staking percentage according to the difficulty of mining, the amount of produced Diskcoins and the percentage of Diskcoin staking to ensure the good operation of the whole system.

Please don´t call it staking, it is the same system like the mortgagesystem at BHD.

LOL mining BHD and you will reach ROI. I have mined around 130 BHD (1 BHD = 0.1 ETH at the moment) since it started last year and this with 31TB.

I have a few nVidia 1080Ti mining the ETH. I noticed the hash rate decreased about 5% in the last few months. Is it due to the DAG file size similar to old AMD cards?

I heard something about the same problem as the older AMD cards, but it should not be as much as AMD. And only Pascal GPU´s, but i am not sure.

1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: June 25, 2019, 06:13:27 AM
I've been using AwesomeMiner for a while and haven't had many issues but now I'm getting frequent crashes to the point where the PC just restarts.  I'm having a hard time narrowing down which algorithms it's having trouble with.  Is there an ideal place I should start to dig or does anyone have any advice?

Windows 10 Rig
5x 1070's

reduce overclocking and check risers
clean the oxide film from the contacts of the video card and risers

I already answer you. It's not the OC, nor are the risers. It is the damn windows and its updates, something has to improve in AM to control this.

You can not undermine and indicate "miner offline" and reboot rig. It also happens directly by mining, PLASH and reboot if notice. And this already reducing the OC a lot.

Insluso some miners of abnormal form occupy 100% of CPU, so much that it makes the system fail. I have seen several times already Intelibreeeze the remote AM program, hanging using more than 30% of CPU (depends on the model, this almost i3)

It's not me, it's not the other guy, there are many of us who are reporting these errors and it's not my first summer with AM undermining, I know what I'm talking about. Low OC, a lot of ventilation, air extractors, direct air to the platforms, but they can be at 50 degrees and suddenly reboot for no reason or stay in offline miner and restart by the rule.

Then deactivate windows updates  Cheesy

Is this even real?

The name of the coin is derived from zcash no doubt.

Another worthless fork.  We don't need any more chains.  Hopefully this will die quickly.

lol, just mine, and sell ! This all about quick money!

And seems that the existence is just for quick cash here.
What is the main purpose of this fork?
Maybe mine and sell. That's all there is for this coin.

Bitfly has announced the support for ycash. They will make a pool, so i think it is no scam.

I cant understand how this mining works? We should have some free space on our hard disc for mining your coins? More free space - more coins rewads? Is this safe for our data and discs at all? This is something like cloud storage?

About how this mining works, you could click on this link to know more: https://burstwiki.org/en/
Then what the different diskcoin and burstcoin?

There are many differences between Diskcoin and burstcoin. One of the main differences is that Diskcoin uses CPoC ( Conditioned Proof Of Capacity ), which is based on PoC2 and adds the Staking mechanism. Miners who are involved in mining need Staking the corresponding Diskcoins to get the most benefit. The proportion of coins that need Staking is not simply fixed or decrease progressively. For more details, you could check in our White Paper: https://diskcoin.org/files/diskcoin-paper/Diskcoin.pdf

Sounds a little bit like the BHD mortage system.

What is the hashrate related to? Free space or R/W speed?

Click on the link, and you will know more about the POC. https://burstwiki.org/en/proof-of-capacity/
Can you explain simplly?
For PoW, more hashrate = stronger hardware (CPU, GPU or ASIC...)
For PoS, more hashrate = more coins.
Sor for PoC, more hashrate = ?

No hashrate  Roll Eyes
PoS more hashrate more coins? What? You know what Proof of Stake is? You know what Proof of Work is? You know what Proof of Capacity?

Dude learn the basics of mining.

READ and don´t ask such questions.
Fucking lazy guy

Very interesting indeed , i remember trying to mine burst coin couple of years ago wasn't that easy ... but i remember the plotting thing takes Very long time it was just old harddisk i had ... So will we able to use Burstcoin plots to mine Diskcoin ?? or we need to re plot the hard disks in order to do so

In theory you can use the same plots from burst, like BHD. BHD + Burst use same plots.

1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I Bought 150+ GPUs for Ethereum mining. Think I'm Insane? on: June 18, 2019, 01:19:07 PM
you are making 9$ per month per Card after electricity (at best), and that's considering you don't have to pay taxes or you evade them.

I guess i will never understand why people do this kind of frikin investments.

Because I can spend say 15G and invest in Ethereum at the current market price of $260(June 19') and get 57 Ethereum. Or I can put 15K into mining GPUs and earn 16 ETH a month or about 200 in a year. What makes more sense? yes there more involvement with mining, but it takes risks to make money. With what I'm putting out for investment is minimal compared to the returns for cryptomining. Plus I'm just an IT/Tech enthusiast also work as IT for a living. It all goes hand in hand.

Right now I'm trouble shooting the RX 470's. I got one rig of P104-100s up and running hashing away fairly easy.

I cannot get the newest Claymore 14.6 STRAP function to work without crashing. Unsure what's causing it. Now there is a bit of a caveat Since these were used some cards were BIOs modded others left stock. I put whatever was BIOs modded back to stock from other GPUs that were stock, however, I noticed in windows that quite a few GPUs have the 'ERROR 43' in windows which can only be fixed by applying the ATIpixel patcher.

Setup:

13x Rx470 4GB (Stock BIOs)(Hynix, Samsung, Elpida)

Asrock H110 Pro BTC+

G3930/4GB RAM/EVGA 450w PSU (for motherboard)

Delta 2400w Server PSU (For GPUs)

Windows 10 (1903)

AMD 19.5.1 Drivers

Now when I tested the STRAP function with a single card, works fine. Will launch and I'm seeing good hash rates of 31mh/s~. However, when I plug in all 13x 470's try the STRAP feature, it will get to 2nd GPU applying STRAPs then Windows will crash and restart itself. This happens every time without fail. Now if I only apply it GPU 0 the STRAP then works fine again, however applying it to GPU 0 and GPU 1 it will hard crash and restart windows. Trying GPU 0 and GPU 2 results in the same thing. Also, note that RXBOOST works perfectly fine. The cards will hash fine with stock BIOs or even Modded BIOs using RXBOOST.

So Far I've tried

Raising voltages for Core/Memory or just leaving it stock. Doesn't matter.

Updating Microsoft .net framework and C++
Flashing various Stock BIOs(found online) and even Modded BIOs.

Different Windows versions 1809 vs 1903.

Furtherest I've gotten was 4-GPUs using the STRAP function. Once I started adding the 5th and 6th or more it would crash and restart windows. My Assumption is that it has to do something with the BIOs and the ATIpixel patcher? However, I'm unsure how to remedy this since only 1 or 2 GPUs seem to not have the error 43 in device manager. I'm unsure of this and wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem.

LOL you bought over 150 cards and can not handle it? If a AMD card has a Modified bios, windows give you the error 43. Apply Pixelpatcher and reboot. If you put another card in this rig, then you must apply the patcher again.
I Think you have bought old mining cards and some has modified bios and other has original bios.
Sorry bro i found your thread interesting, but now. These are basics and all know that for long time. And forget the strap function from claymore, flash bios is the best way.

Windows version does not matter, all work fine

1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zilliqa Switcher - Tool To DUAL Mine ZIL with any other Miner on: June 17, 2019, 11:14:02 AM
Introduction

Zilliqa has developed a new way of mining compared to regular methods we all know of. POW is every 2-3 hours. That's right 2-3 hours. In that POW time, your miners only mine for 1 minute. I kid you not. This is to help the planet go green with mining but I am greedy and would like to use all the rest of time to mine something.

Dual Mining Zilliqa
Zilliqa miner already has a function to allow dual mining. For Zilliqa, dual mining is Mining on own coin (eth, jesus coin, grin, etc) while waiting for POW for Zilliqa. When POW is close, zilminer will stop your mining operations of eth (or any other coin you are mining) and begin to mine Zilliqa for one minute. After the minute has passed, it continues to mine your eth.

Problem

Although dual mining Zilliqa is great, it never works out the way you expect. Unexpected issues like zilminer crashing, your eth miner crashing, heck your pc crashing have been an issue from day one. Read Solution below.

Introducing Zilliqa- Switcher

Instead of your miners crashing, I offer you a solution to mine any other coin with any other miner while still making it in time to mine Zilliqa. This is a work in progress but it works well.

Download Link
https://mega.nz/#!j9USgSwC

Instructions

Download Zilminer, Download your other miner (let's say Claymore), Download Zilliqa-Switcher
Extract all files from all three downloaded packages in the same folder.
Optional: Create an eth.bat script if you need to.
Run Zilliqa-Switcher
First option, choose your miner
Second option, choose how you run your miner, either using only exe or using a bat file (created in step 3)
Third option if you chose bat file, enter the name of the bat file, (eth.bat , grin.bat)
Forth option, enter your Zilliqa Address. This can be the old formart Zil address or New Format Zil Address
That's it Smiley

Not sure what to think about RX 5700 / 5700 XT for mining purposes.
Raw computing power doesn't seem higher than Vega 64, same for memory bandwith. So unless the new architecture can feed the compute units and the memory faster and with more consistency, I don't think I'll purchase one of these.

While they had a good performance increase in games, same can't be said for mining. I still think nvidia is overall better for most algorithms and when I say most, I say at moment 90%.

And another shit from Metroid.
We all know that you are NVIDIA fanboy, so please don´t talk such shit anymore  Roll Eyes

90% of algos are better for NVIDIA - you made my day dude

It is the truth with Nvidia. Has nothing to do with fanboy or not. Nvidia brings less frustation and more algos.

But anyways. Dont forget the new Nvidia "Super" series from 2060 to 2080 (maybe also the 2080 Ti). Which will attack AMD's new series and increase hashrate (for the same price as before).

Ok i think you guys can not handle AMD cards.

New Super series from Nvidia? Ok and AMD do nothing? No new cards?

So please give me all algos where NVIDIA is faster (think about you say 90% of all algos, so i want all algos where is NVIDIA better than AMD)

1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: June 14, 2019, 11:39:08 AM
Is there a way to apply the GPU overclocking settings by algo and by card ? It sucks to have to change the settings for each card when i switch algos

Make OC Profiles. If Awesomeminer start mining, it loads a profile, if it stop mining, awesomeminer load the standard profil. If you change the algo, then you can change the oc profile.
If you use profitswitching, you can set oc profiles for different algos and awesomemine pick the right one when it change the algo. There are so many ways to do that in awesomeminer.
You can make some oc profiles (maybe 6 different cards in a rig) and make a oc profile group. I think you can do this.
