1381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / How can I tell if Bitcoind is working? on: August 06, 2011, 05:38:04 PM

It just sits there.
I'm trying to get a script to talk to via WAN but wont return any data.

I've made sure my firewalls are open (tcp/udp 8332 & 8333).

How can I tell where the script stops responding?

Also, the site error
Code:
Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'Incorrect response id (request id: 1, response id: )' in /home***/public_html/bitcoin/classes/jsonRPCClient.php:152 Stack trace: #0 /home/***/public_html/bitcoin/html/main.php(50): jsonRPCClient->__call('getblockcount', Array) #1 /home/***/public_html/bitcoin/html/main.php(50): jsonRPCClient->getblockcount() #2 /home/***/public_html/bitcoin/index.php(40): include('/home/***/...') #3 {main} thrown in /home/***/public_html/bitcoin/classes/jsonRPCClient.php on line 152

You should modify your files to allow a different IP and Port to RCP (I've already made the changes for me to test).

1387  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LinuxCoin A lightweight Debian based OS with everything ready to go. on: August 06, 2011, 02:51:56 PM
Sorry to bump people but I could do with some help testing my patched version of unetbootin. Had some weird reports and trying to get to the bottom of it but don't have the bandwidth to test because I'm running on a 3G dongle with 500MB of data.

http://linuxcoin.co.uk/downloads/unetbootin/

and use the download option with persistence.

Cheers !!
I don't have a USB so...I can't fully test it.
1388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy mini Bitcoins with PayPal on: August 06, 2011, 04:56:23 AM
Not sure if you guys can post in the exchange section..but I just opened a brand new exchange that accepts paypal

http://minibits.weebly.com/

will transfer to a .com if I get a good amount of orders

You're just setting yourself up for scams. PayPal is reversible, I could simply claim that I did not receive the virtual funds.
What if  I already cashed out the money?

It does not matter if you've already cashed out the money. If you having outside funding sources, they will not let you remove them until your negative balance is all paid up.
I still have a positive $234 in my Paypal, but it's frozen.

Am I suppose to setup a poll or something.  Roll Eyes

[Edit]:
Okay...so I've got a Mumble (murmur) server setup, but will wait till tomorrow to release the IP/PORT.
Anyone know of a server monitor (see how many users are in the server, like my Ventrilo banners)?

Not being rude, and I've talked to you via PM's but...I'm agreeing with people here.
Not only will paypal reverse the funds, but they will:
-Freeze your's and your trader's account
-Contact you once or twice a day for a week (then over time it kind of goes down)
-After about a year, they will contact your bank

...and that's about as far as I've gotten so far. I believe they will suspend anyone suspected to be using Bitcoins.
I do wish you the best of luck though!

i'd liek to join the chat room, how do i do this?
Download Ventrilo: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php

If you need help to join the server, just let me know.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin discussion over Ventrilo? on: August 06, 2011, 12:13:14 AM
Don't get me wrong, I have personal disregard's to Ventrilo.
I used to be huge in TS2 before they decided to be harder to license (TS3) than Ventrilo.

As far as other solutions to voice (Mohawk, Mubmle [Murmur]), I've had to support them for others.
I just find that Ventrilo gives a nice, solid solution to VoIP.
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin discussion over Ventrilo? on: August 06, 2011, 12:04:15 AM
I kind of like Ventrilo better.
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin discussion over Ventrilo? on: August 05, 2011, 11:57:48 PM

It's currently setup for 10 users.
I'm not sure how popular this will be, but I'll add more as it get's full.
1396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin discussion over Ventrilo? on: August 05, 2011, 09:45:54 PM
It says Chrome below version 3 doesn't work... I believe it's up to Version  11. Maybe time to update?
I was showing (in the screenshot) that I'm using Version 13.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin discussion over Ventrilo? on: August 05, 2011, 09:36:50 PM
Why not just use Talkshoe?

Seems they don't like my chrome.
I'm sticking with Ventrilo. Tongue
1398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin discussion over Ventrilo? on: August 05, 2011, 09:34:41 PM
I didn't think of that.
I'm more than happy enough to make private channels and kick out anyone who decides to get out-of-hand.
There will be plenty of open channels for them to play in.
1399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin discussion over Ventrilo? on: August 05, 2011, 07:59:35 PM
I was wondering how many people would be interested in talking about Bitcoin over voice?
I can get us a server with up to 400 slots (pretty much going to keep it under 50 for now).

We can talk about anything from your site or other's site (including but not limited to forums/games/exchange...etc).
I can add sub-sections if people would be interested in discussing specific aspects of Bitcoins.

All-in-all, who'd be interested?

I live chrome.

Except on Linux, I kind of like FireFox.
