Maybe MyBitcoin is waiting for 6 blocks like it does for deposits?
Nah, I found out it was my fault.
When I added the SSL, I forgot to edit the config -.-
MY BAD EVERYONE!

I will start giving refunds in a few moments!

[edit]: ARG, this may take longer than I thought -.-
1662  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 21, 2011, 04:10:58 AM
I still think you should just use a manual address for each round. Now reason for mybitcoin.

Also, refund and start over pls?
Refunds will be done in a few.
1663  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 21, 2011, 04:08:01 AM

Mybitcoin.com broke their API -.-
1664  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 21, 2011, 03:25:08 AM
Hey Nothing, does this restart at midnight sharp? or 12:15 sharp?
I think the script needs Mt. Gox active in order to work, so there might be another postponement...

I wish we would have run one more round before Gox went down  Sad

Edit: Is the game still on then? According to the web page, it will be restarting in less than an hour.
The game is back up, and will restart at midnight.
As long as https://www.mybitcoin.com is online, we will be good to go.
1665  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 10:19:22 PM
That was for the suggestion of having two 36 hour rounds with a 12 hour overlap. Round one starts at midnight and ends at noon 36 hours later. Round two starts at noon and ends at midnight day after the next.
I'm only running one game at a time. If I do anymore, I might as well start selling my script for others to make their own game. Tongue

IDK, 36 hours seems way too long, and I think 12 would be good, everyone gets two shots a day if they need it.
I'm thinking I may restart the game every 12 hours.
Even if your in a different location; you've got 2 shots.
1668  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 10:03:05 PM
I think the active time might get proportionally longer. At the current time, people in the US might throw in a deposit before going to bed, and in Europe before going to work. So, when people get back home or wake up 8-10 hours later there's too little time left of the round for new deposits or reinvestment to have a chance of getting doubled. But, if you have a 36 hour round it will be a whole day left when people get back, so that might keep the round going for a another few hours.

Maybe two parallel 36 hour rounds could be something as well, which would make a new round start twice a day... and it could make things interesting in itself.

Edit: 36 hour rounds would mean every other day would would have two rounds starting, if they start with a 12 hour difference from the beginning. Unless my thinking is wrong again... Smiley
If it were every 36 hours, there would only be a new round every other day.
1669  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 09:27:59 PM
36 hours is too long, the game usually last within the first 3-5 hours and then it's just really slow.
I'll start thinking about a good odd time to let everyone play the game.
1670  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 08:28:53 PM
Would it be possible to move the entry time to make it slightly less rubbish for europeans? Sad
Well I was planing on doing a new game every 12 hours.
1671  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New News: MtGox Should be back Monday Night. on: June 20, 2011, 09:08:05 AM
Damn, this is going to be like an IPO. The question now is, what's going to happen when the floor opens?

Because prior orders won't exist, first there will be a dive as freaked investors sell off for what they can. I'm guessing it'll go below 10, but not far. Then, as buyers slowly get their bid orders in, those who sold off initially will regain confidence and big sellers will hold (as they're pretty battle-hardened at this point in bitcoin's trade history).

Then, because all this USD will be sitting there only able to be withdrawn slowly, people will have enough time to watch bitcoin hit bottom and start going up. Then there will be a massive rally, probably to 25 very, very quickly, then dropping to 14, then 22, then settling at a bit lower than where it opened (17.5). I'm guessing it'll settle at $16-17.5.

Since the media is going to have a heyday with this, and even negative bitcoin news brings in shittons of new people, after enough time has passed that new bank transfers and dwolla money goes through, we'll spike up to about 35 and repeat the bubble pop characteristics that happened after we hit 32.

Also, the Jets are going to win the superbowl next year and Obama will be reelected after the republican front-runner says racist comments 2 days before the election. And the winning lotto numbers are 4-32-6-74-21-9. Bet on black. The third slot machine on the fourth row to the right of the entrance. Jim, your wife's pregnant and it's not your baby. Also you have hep C now.

Eh, a normal day.

I made a spreadsheet calculating your payouts:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ag7eUBbWmtR4dERnSkUxdVRXbk5fWlRneFlwTVhaUVE&hl=en_US&authkey=CMm1j4YK

Still looks like some is missing, please let me know if I did any of the math wrong.
The pot shows how much there is to payback.
The pot calculates 1% already taken out of the equation.
When I send people the money, I am re-calculating their price based on how much they put in instead of relying on the Bank.
The Bank allows me to know how much to split among the players who haven't gotten paid at the end of the game.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean....

Can you create a spreadsheet of your own in the style of mine?  I am just failing to see where the 2.8401 (that I believe) should be in the pot is.
I've got someone I needed to be 3 minutes ago, so I'll do it when I get home.
But, I'll be more then happy to make a spreadsheet. Smiley

Still interested in seeing a spreadsheet in my style with your calculations.
I actually got caught up in other stuff (such as a video for BitDouble Application).
SSL
And the API code.

I'll get around to doing the spreadsheet sometime.

For those of you interested, a new version thats 1.25x just started while we wait for this one to reset
I like the idea; faster game.
I'm defiantly not going to do anymore postponing.
Hell, after a few more days it may be just faster to do half-day games. (I will take some votes on this; latter).
1674  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 02:42:44 AM
idk if an extension was a good idea, it seems pretty dead
If there wasn't anytime downtime from today, I would agree.

Yeah, the thing is the downtime started at like 5, which is when it was pretty much dead anyway. The people who want the reset already have money in, and the people who don't have money in aren't going to bid. It'd be a shame to essentially waste a whole round of bids, but if you want to honor the poll I understand.

I don't think there's going to be much more movement from this current point without a reset. just my opinion

A vote is a vote.
I probably should have just went on with the reset, but it was my idea to poll people; and the results were in.

Just wanted to let everyone know, that this thread has hit an awesome site (meaning more and more hackers have just received the same email I got).
http://www.f-secure.com/weblog/archives/00002187.html

In other words, stay frosty my friends!
1677  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 12:19:36 AM
does that mean it will be extended?
Yes.

[Edit]:
Just wanted to let everyone know that I boosted some security features of the site (don't want to say what Grin).
I am also working on the API (v3.0). This should be done by the end of the night.
I might also release another version of the BitDouble Application.
1678  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 20, 2011, 12:02:15 AM

Looks like the game's reset will be postponed until tomorrow night.
Very close poll.
1679  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 19, 2011, 11:22:52 PM
I've got a poll running.
If there are more than 10 people that vote, I'll do it.
http://www.polleverywhere.com/multiple_choice_polls/LTY2NTU1MDI0Nw/web

v-v-v-voted

[Edit]: Just to be fair to the people who want to vote no; I'm going to stop the poll after 20 votes.
1680  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Double Trouble (Instant/Automatic) w/ Partial Refunds! on: June 19, 2011, 11:20:53 PM
I assume you will announce if the game will postpone or not before midnight
By the looks of the chart, it wont be long.
