Did they withdraw in USD or have the BTC transferred?

Did you use the same password in one of the mining pools?  If so which one? Smiley

Does no one trust the third parties? Is direct buy safer?
1825  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: June 14, 2011, 01:51:58 AM
I would like to be released as a Newbie.
I think I've put in my fair share of time (4 hours and 37 minutes) and post (45).

I don't like being a leecher in other sections as if I need to reply to a thread or a comment, I wouldn't be able to.
So, I've taken my time and would like to be released!

Here is my card I found whilst snooping around the forums, hope you accept it.
1826  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 50.4 GHz effective CPU - worth it? on: June 14, 2011, 01:43:30 AM
lol...thank you - I'll probably just standby until it makes financial sense to upgrade to a tower with a better GPU
Wait to long and the difficulty will come back to bite.
Get the coins whilst it's not too late!
1827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 50.4 GHz effective CPU - worth it? on: June 14, 2011, 01:40:57 AM
CPU mining is not worth it, period.
GPU mining might be worth it but not when you have to buy new hardware.
And since you mentioned using a notebook it is even worse since you can't dissipate heat effectively and might cause overheating.
Besides if you have read up on the forums all mining rigs are built using desktops since mobile GPUs are usually underpowered.
I'm using a Laptop, you mad bro?
Actually, I'm kind of mad. Sad

i sent you your damn coins and you did not send my money
1829  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 50.4 GHz effective CPU - worth it? on: June 14, 2011, 01:35:37 AM
Personally, CPU mining isn't worth it.
Even with my GPU mining @ 22-28Mhash/s, it would take me ~5-20 days to get even 1 BTC.
I'm kind of just mining for fun until I get hardware to do some serious testing.

1834  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block Lifecycle (Solo vs. Pooled vs. Private pool type question) on: June 14, 2011, 12:41:26 AM
I think what Hands is asking is:
Is the whole bitcoin community (solo/group) working on 1 block at a time, or does each community (solo/group) have it's own block they are working on?
1835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MtGox Account got Hacked Today on: June 14, 2011, 12:36:30 AM
I don't really know why I'm posting this, but my Mt. Gox account got hacked today, lost 8K USD, absolutely devastated, as it was my money for college. Be careful. I assume there's no recourse for this?

Fuck my life. Be careful, people.

How is this possible, when the withdrawal limit is $1000?

Estimated worth of BTC in USD?
1836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anti-Pool-Hopping Concept on: June 14, 2011, 12:32:36 AM
Let's see this in action!
I would surly be a part of this.

paypal is the middle man and its an established company. buy it if you want or dont either way its fine and i will sell my coins

1839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cant mine bitcoins on: June 13, 2011, 11:53:25 PM
Very helpful topic Smiley

I, however, prefer a steadier income of BTC's. Is deepbit the best mining pool?
I did some testing with the current PPS (0.00007931496901107 per share) and at the current difficulty at an average rate of 2min and 30 seconds per share; it would take on average 20 days to get 1 BTC.
I did the same math and I got about half per share without using any donations @ BTCGuild.
1840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: anyone wana buy 5 bitcoins for a 100 usd on: June 13, 2011, 11:47:35 PM
So, the whole idea about not using a middle-man would be?
