1761  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trojan Wallet stealer be careful on: June 17, 2011, 12:42:14 PM
Why whats wrong with this?

It's OpenSource, fairly well know, a well know domain, from a fairly well known user (me), whats the problem?
I didn't notice it was a sticky until I made the post.
Then after I noticed it was a stick, I looked at who posted it.

You have to admit it's a bit ironic. Cheesy
1762  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trojan Wallet stealer be careful on: June 17, 2011, 11:17:04 AM
There is a (new?) trojan wallet stealer out in the wild ATM.

Plenty of script kiddies and scammers are going to be trying to get you to download and install it, what's more they'll be putting posts to do so (using lies obviously).

Don't install anything linked to on this forum, unless it's been found by someone with a good reputation to be legit. Assume everything is an attempt to steal your wallet.

You should also encrypt your wallet when not in use.

Here is a portable apps version http://www.freeotfe.org/downloads/FreeOTFEExplorer_3_51.paf.exe

You have been warned.

Nefario
Thanks for the warning and the link to this *cough* software.

1766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Effective Antivirus on: June 16, 2011, 10:30:37 AM
For me Norton uses more CPU and memory on my computer,

And BitDefender is named #1 Best AV software
I didn't say I use Nortin, I'm just reporting the statistics of infection rate I've been seeing.

Who named BitDefender number one?

This is why Bit Defender is #1
After seeing you getting warnings, I'll end my part of the discussion here.

Looks like it's been this way for ~7days.

Well, averaging around 18.99-19.99

MalwareBytes Pro
Avira (free)

Problems?

Oh, and for some reason Norton's latest updates have been doing well lately.

How about using commas backwards?

0.000,000,01 BTC

Quote from: FAQ
One exception is the "satoshi" which is smallest denomination currently possible
0.000 000 01 BTC = 1 Satoshi (pronounced sa-toh-shee)
So, shouldn't 1 BTC be able to be split over 10,000,000 people?

[Edit]: Even I've thought about 21mil being a low number...but seeing how far 1 BTC can go; makes you wonder.

Criticism is good for strengthening bitcoin, but please concentrate on valid criticisms.

1773  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bigger pools = better? on: June 16, 2011, 05:25:41 AM
I used to mine with deepbit (the largest pool), but stopped after I decided the fees were too high.
What do you mean the fees are too high?
Isn't it a 0% Proportional fee?

I've never had any good dealings with services out of India.
Well, it's actually in Switzerland.

I didn't notice any MX records, so are you trying to stay hidden? Grin

1776  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for someone to create bitcoin site on: June 15, 2011, 12:33:04 PM
actually it is not like any of those sites at all.

I pretty much just need the system made, I can manage front end design pretty easily.  I am good experience with sites and bitcoin although I am not skilled enough to set up this site.
Also I know exactly how I want the site to behave and a good idea for how I want it to look.
So you want someone to develop a system that we have no idea what we are developing; yet, you would be developing it once it's developed?
1777  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first transaction on: June 15, 2011, 09:44:36 AM

1778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Linux miners on: June 15, 2011, 09:42:54 AM
Well in your case, I would look around and try to get root then possibly remove the old gcc and install the one specified.
1779  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Miner Data [API] Dynamic Avatar's (and signature images) .png on: June 15, 2011, 09:07:35 AM
About to start development on MySQL registration so Avatar & Signature API calls only need to be called once per 60 seconds (or caching time).
I may also set it up so users can pay say, 0.01BTC/mo to allow their images to be cached for any time-frame (from 10 seconds up to 24hours, as that's when the /day/flush will occur).
Might make it 1BTC (for life) to be able to setup the time-frame deal.

My first current project is getting a namecoin domain.
At the same time, I'm coding the code generator page which will be able to integrate into the new MySQL registration system I'll be working on (as I said before, domain first Smiley).

[edit]: Check first post!

I'm also an OP @ #trancefamily irc.mixxnet.net
I don't go on there much unless there is a party going on.
